Alex POV

I woke up feeling more relaxed and well rested than I had in the past few decades. Last night was one of the most euphoric things I had ever experienced in my life. I felt safe and cared for in Edward's arms, as if nothing could hurt me. I was quite surprised though that when I woke up I could hear Alice's and Emmett's voices downstairs, purely because I thought the Cullen's had school today.

I got up and looked out of the giant windows in Edward's room (I still can't get over the fact that we were finally lovers), and yup no sun, so either they skipped to make sure the nomads didn't do something wrong, or there was something big going on that I didn't know about (what is it with vampires and their cliché mysteriousness).

I walked out of the room and made my way to the living room where everyone seemed to be gathered and heard Alice say "No no we need to stick to a theme, Edward you have to wear something other than black and Emmett don't your dare stain your tux in the first five minutes ok, this stuff is designer so you have to be careful with it."

I came into the living room with the most confused expression on my face which apparently was funny because the minute Edward saw my face he seemed to let a few chuckles loose, which in turn made me glare at him venomously. "Oh Alex, good you're here, I need to know if you prefer old Hollywood classic or modern chic?"

I actually thought about it for a minute and couldn't get the image of Edward in a vintage three piece out of my mind so I picked old Hollywood classic. "Alex if you're no too busy could you please come outside with me, there's something I wanna show you." 

I nodded my head at Edward and grabbed his offered hand as he lead us outside, I turned around just before we completely disappeared into the forest and caught a glimpse of all of the Cullens (yes, even Rosalie), Victoria and Laurent looking at as go with huge smiles on their faces, (that were very creepy).

We walked for a good 10 minutes, mindless chatter filling the silence until we reached a stop, Edward pushed the leaves away and we found ourselves in front of a huge waterfall. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, only second to Edward's heart and eyes, or well Edward himself. I turned around to look at Edward, but saw him on his knees holding up a velvet ring box, (let's just say I internally combusted on the spot at this point and my imagination went a little wild).

"Alex Turner, I don't know why I existed until I met you, you showed me the world through your eyes and for that I will always be grateful, you always loved my family like your own and you loved me when I didn't think even I could love myself. I wish I could show you how beautiful you are and how undeserving the world is to have you, but I promise you that as long as I exist and walk this earth I will spend every minute by your side, making sure no one can hurt you. So with this ring I want you to promise me that we will stay together forever."

I was speechless, I couldn't fathom what was happening. Edward wanted to be with me forever. ME!! I felt my legs give out beneath me and a sob crawl out of my throat. Soon I found myself cradled in Edward's arms, dry sobbing in his neck, eventually when I calmed down enough to speak, I looked into Edward's breathtaking honey colored eyes and whispered, "Yes, of course I will stay with you forever, can't really imagine a better place to be except your side Eddie."

Before I knew it Edward had picked me up and was spinning me around in circles and eventually both of us were laughing likes lovesick idiots (which I guess we were). "Oh and before Alice kills me for forgetting, will you, Alex Turner go to prom with me?" I almost choked on my spit at the sudden question, "you want me, the ghost, to go to human prom with you. Are you trying to get thrown into a mental institute."

Edward starting laughing so hard that I was actually concerned for a moment before I became speechless at the sight of Edward looking absolutely breathtaking with his eyes shaped like crescents and his head thrown back in pure joy. My heart almost hurt with how full it was holding all the love I held for this man, "Love, I'm flattered that you care for my reputation so much, but trust me taking a ghost to a human prom is nothing at all, I've done stranger things."

"Also I can practically hear Alice screaming at me to get you back so she can have her wicked way with you," I snorted at the stupid innuendo, but was inwardly excited at the thought of turning solid and getting a makeover (even ghosts want to feel pretty every now and then).

 So we set off back to the Cullen mansion occasionally stopping to look at some beautiful nature along the way, It surprisingly only took us half an hour to get back and just as the house came into view I was attacked by a big ball of energy known as Alice and dragged away to be tortured.

Let me tell you this, nothing is more terrifying than a women on a mission, because in the next two hours I was given a facial, a pedicure, a manicure (Alice painted my nails a pretty black and red after), hair cutting, then I was sent off to take a shower. In this time I also found out that Alice went to Cosmetology school, which actually didn't surprise me much so there's that, but anyways after my shower I was given a fancy three piece suit which looked worth more than my life.

"The suit is custom made Dior, I had Edward give me your size a while ago, now put this on and then come to me so we can get you some silver jewelry and other stuff to make to look even more handsome than you already are." I hesitantly took the suit and put it on in the bathroom, then I took a few minutes to stare at my reflection in the mirror, all the noise outside blurring out.

I don't really know what I was looking at, I wasn't overly anything, all in all I was pretty average, however if I did have to pick something I liked about myself it was probably my eyes, they were a deep brown, but they held so much inside of them. I walked out of the bathroom and was assaulted with a box being shoved in my face filled to the brim with rings, necklaces, body chains, earrings, bracelets, and other things I'd rather not talk about.

After picking out a few things that caught my eye, I walked aimlessly around the house and tried to sneak into Edward's room, but that plan flopped when Alice caught me and dragged me back to her room. At 7:30 everyone was finally ready (Carlisle and Esme were going out on a date......I literally almost squealed at that when I first found out because even after centuries of being together they still love each other so much. Couple goals I swear).

I walked down the stairs with Alice, Rosalie and Esme who were all looking like literal angels in their Victorian styled with a modern twist evening gowns, and as much as I wanted to give up on existing multiple times throughout the whole becoming Alice's Ken doll thing, I had to admit I felt as if I could achieve anything in this outfit.

My confidence literally increased by a million when I saw Edward's reaction, his eyes looked me up and down (not in the creepy old man way, but in the way you admire a piece of priceless art or how you would look at the person who is your everything).

When I reached the bottom of the stairs I shyly put my hand in Edward's offered hand, suddenly he gently pulled me into his arms and kissed my forehead. "You look exquisite my love," I was beginning to question how dead I was because I felt like dying all over at how sweet my (boyfriend? Lover? Best friends as the historians would say if they saw a picture of us as humans back then?) Edward was.

Anyways fast forwarding the goodbyes and everything, we got into Edward's Aston Martin (fancy I know), and were on our way to prom I was excited and slightly terrified about my first prom, countless google searches and YouTube videos had taught me a lot about prom and I just hoped tonight would not be 'a magical night in which sometimes a random teenage boy gives you something to always remember it by' as some people's comment described it as..........whatever that means, humans nowadays are weird.
