Milo POV

It has been a few days since the little show down in the hospital and Bella has been oddly silent since then (not that I minded whatsoever), apparently Edward Cullen dropped her off home last night (this information comes courtesy of Matt) and followed her into the forest this morning (I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who noticed that and the fact that Mr Ghost was following them as well while the rest of the Cullens watched). 

I wanted to follow them but decided against it because that would be creepy, plus I had literature first lesson and I really hated disappointing Mr Kim by being late, (damn his irresistible dimples). By the time lunch rolled around I was pretty anxious and excited to ask Bella what happened in the forest (read: interrogate her until she caved in and answered all of my questions), and I was willing to use any means necessary to get her to spill the beans (not that she needed any help with that, she was so clumsy I'm pretty sure she could spill anything on her own).

Unfortunately Bella was sat in between Di and Archie who are both very protective of Bella for some reason (which I still haven't figured out yet, but I'm starting to think that they have a thing for her), so I didn't get the chance to do anything other than alternative glaring at Bella and Edward while subtly trying to flirt with Matt (I have my priorities okay).

I was starting to get really frustrated and by the end of the day I still had no idea what was said during the forest confrontation (as I now call it), so I decided to do something both stupid and impulsive......I invited Bella out to lunch. This would have been an easy task had it not been the fact that Bella had two very protective guards (aka Di and Archie) who did not leave her alone for a second.

And also the fact that Archie would literally look like a jealous kicked puppy if he found out I went to lunch with (one of) his crush(es) (even though he knows I'm as gay as a rainbow), in the end this was one battle I was not willing to fight because there were too many factors that could go wrong (and I didn't want to upset my best friend).

Also Matt might think I've forgotten him and fallen in love with his cousin and then I might never have the chance to be with him, plus his insecurities might make him think that I could never love him, and I don't even know how Di will react if she finds out I went to lunch with her women crush Wednesday, she might think it was a date because she doesn't know that I'm as straight as a circle and and........

I took a deep breath before I could go into cardiac arrest and made my way towards the gang (yes I know it's bad, I cringed while saying this is my head as well, but don't blame me, blame Archie and his horrible naming skills), there was only one way to go about this.........and that was to invite everyone to lunch so we're all in this together.

We decided to go to this one café in Port Angeles that was run by a friend of mine (he was more like a father figure though), and we decided to head out now straight from school because apparently there's a lot of traffic at this time of day, so everyone called the respective person in charge of them (except me, I doubt my mom would care, she would probably be too drunk to notice).

 When we arrived I found us a nice table and ordered us all something (because at this point the details didn't matter anymore, I just wanted to know what happened and I was probably gonna explode if I didn't find out soon). An awkward silence filled the air and that's when I had enough, so without thinking I opened my mouth and blurted out the first think I could think of.

"Hey Bella why was Edward Cullen following you into the forest behind school today?" In an instant 4 pairs of eyes were looking at me, but I ignored them in favor of looking directly into Bella's eyes (I was trying to be intimidating, but I don't think it was working). "Well," I said while raising my left eyebrow (the only one I can raise), "umm well you see, we were talking about that biology um lab that we did last week."

I had to cover my mouth to muffle the snort that was threatening to come out, and apparently I wasn't the only one who thought this was the stupidest excuse ever because the others was looking at her incredulously, I'm pretty sure she cracked under pressure (which to be fair I expected better from her especially since her dad's a cop).

Not even a second later she said, "okay I'll tell you everything, but you guys have to promise not to tell anyone else," despite looking confused and a little weary Di, Matt and Archie nodded their heads reluctantly while I just quickly nodded my head, not really in the mood to have this dragged along for longer. "Okay then, it all started after the accident, you see it was Edward Cullen that pushed me out of the way with inhuman speed because he was on the other side of the parking lot, then I tried to confront him at the hospital, but he wouldn't give in. 

Truthfully I kept going back to superhero and comic theories that Archie told me about, but then the trip to La push happened and everything changed." Bella paused and took a deep breath before continuing, "my old friend Jacob told me that the Cullens weren't allowed at the beach because of a story that was passed down from their ancestors about the cold ones.

So the next day I decided to get a book on tribal legends from Port Angeles and well let's just say stuff happened and Edward Cullen saved me, after that he took me out to dinner and apparently he can read minds, that's how he knew where I was." 

Everyone was speechless at this point (me included), because wtf......Edward Cullen is a fucking MIND READER......god knows what he's heard in my head, do you know how much useless shit I think of on a daily basis, poor guy would have probably had a migraine just listening to my thoughts.

Wait.....forget about my thoughts, if Edward Cullen can read minds then does that mean he's seen or heard every fantasy Jessica Stanley has ever had of his or his family! I burst out laughing at that thought and almost fell off my chair, I know the others were probably looking at me as if I was crazy, but I just couldn't help it. I mean could you imagine the look on his face, that thought nearly sent me into hysterics.

 After a few minutes I finally calmed down and reassured everyone else that I had in fact not gone batshit crazy, "well I'm sure you guys have a lot of questions, so I will try to answer them to the best of my ability," but before Bella could get any further our food arrived and we all started eating.

It was mostly silent, a few attempts at conversation were made courtesy of Di and Archie, but everyone was too lost in their thoughts for the conversation to go far. "Wait, you said Edward Cullen was a mind reader right, but what does that have to do with the cold ones from the tribal stories?" Matt's question made all of us freeze for a minute and I legit wanted to bang my head against something, because of course I forgot about that (thank god my future boyfriend was a genius with a great memory).

 We all turned to look at Bella waiting for an answer, "well you see according to the book, online websites, Jacob's story and Edward Cullen himself, the Cullens are the cold ones from the stories, the same exact ones and in simpler terms that means that the Cullens are.........vampires."

A/N: Sooo what do you guys think? I know it's been really long and I'm so sorry about that, but school has been hectic and I've only been to school for 3 days.
