Alex POV

You know the feeling that just when you think it can't get worse it does, well that's how I felt entering Forks High School, just when I thought that hell was the worst it could get the nasty humans have to go and make school so painful and torturous that it makes hell sound appealing. The school looked so sad and depressing that it made me wonder just what kind of spirit haunted this place. 

The lady at the front desk wasn't so bad, well that was until she started ogling MY boyfriend (which is unacceptable), fortunately for her Alice quickly cut her (horrible) attempts at flirting off and dragged Edward away before I could rip her fake hair extensions off. Lessons were actually quite interesting (well some of them, the others were so boring that I practically fell asleep), the rest of the day kinda went the same. 

Edward would talk to me during class in a really low voice so humans can't hear, but I could with my enhanced hearing, I would occasionally prank a teacher by opening a door or stealing their exams papers (because no one deserves to suffer through that kind of stress), or something like that. When it was finally lunch the Cullens all gathered by the cafeteria door and walked in couple by couple (I honestly feel like they practiced this a couple if times).

 As they went in I could see all the humans having various degrees of shock, awe and jealously on their faces. It was at times like these that I wished that I could hear what other people were thinking, most people had gotten over the Cullen's grand entrance and were minding their own business with the exception of a few looks here and there. I tried to block the various conversations around me until I came upon an interesting one. 

"That's Edward, he's single, but don't waste your time, no girl here is apparently good enough for him." I turned my head to see an awkward looking brunette sitting next to the girl Alice had told me was the school gossip channel, I think her name was Jennifer...Jessie.....no Jessica...Jessica Stanley!

Now is it bad to say that I felt a sense of pride when I realized that she was the girl MY Edward had told me about (the one he rejected 6 times because apparently she doesn't know the meaning of the word NO), well I turned around again and focused my attention on the brunette to see what she would say, "I won't," yah you better not. 

I looked around until my eyes landed on a small table right in the back. I could see two blackheads (a girl and a boy and by the looks of it probably siblings) and a lighter brunette haired boy sitting next a darker brunette haired boy (his hair looked almost black).

I tried to tune into their conversation (because for some reason they intrigued me), but I could only hear bits and pieces, but from what I could tell they were talking about us (well the Cullens to be more specific), I turned around and poked Edward's shoulder until he looked at me, "what do you want Alex," although he was trying to sound annoyed I could hear the fondness in his tone and that literally unleashed a zoo of butterflies in my stomach.

"Well I was going to ask you to use your mind reading abilities to find out who the people sitting in the corner table are, but since you're so busy I guess I'm just gonna have to get up and find out myself." I stood up and was about to walk away when suddenly Edward grabbed my arm and pulled me back down, I shot Edward a glare and looked around to make sure no one saw anything. 

"Are you crazy we could have been seen, do you know how weird it would have looked if you grabbed air and pulled it down-" before I could continue my rant Edward put his hand over my mouth to shut me up (which btw is very rude). "Don't worry Alex I'm not an idiot I was reading everybody's thoughts to make sure no one was paying attention to us before I grabbed your arm," I felt guilty after hearing this and before I could start apologizing Edward continued.

"The black haired girl's name is Diana and the boy next to her is her younger brother Matthias, the light brunette is Archie and the darker brunette is Milo, the siblings are two of the new students and the other two have been going here for years." I nodded my head and stored these pieces of information for later.

For some reason I felt a deep connection to them, it wasn't like the one I shared with Edward it was more like I wanted to protect them from the world and wrap the in bubble wrap and never let them go. Thankfully before my thoughts could escalate to God knows where, the bell rang and everyone got up to go their separate ways.

Edward had biology next, and because of a traumatic experience I had in the past involving a bio teacher I decided to explore the school. The hallways were long and some of the lights were flickering, looking like a scene worthy of both a horror movie set and a ghost haunting, all the classes were full of students and teachers, I had high hopes for the library and I was very disappointed.

Since I had nothing to do (and I missed Edward), I made my way back to the biology classroom, when I was standing directly in front of the door I could see Edward sitting next to the awkward brunette girl from lunch. Edward looked like he was going to pounce on her any second, his eyes were pitch black looking like he hadn't feed in years when in reality the Cullens all went hunting yesterday. I felt a pair of eyes burning holes in my back and when I turned around I was met with dark brunette curls and eyes wide as saucers......it was the boy from lunch! 

I gave him a big smile and waved at him, but for some reason he looked scared which made no sense since I'm like the friendliest and most harmless ghost you'll ever meet. I frowned when I saw that the boy's eyes were slightly cloudy and unfocused, so I reached over and shock him to wake him up from his little daze.

He snapped out of his little daydream and immediately took two steps back, "please don't suck my soul out, I promise I've been good, I have so much I still have to do in my life like beat Archie's stupid ass self for making me sit next to the love of my life during lunch." He stopped for a second before he was starting again.

"I still have to go on a date with said love of my life and we have to get married and have his babies and.......and," I waited for him to catch his breath before I said anything. "Better," I asked and was met with a nod, "well I assure you I'm not going to eat you, I'm not that type of ghost, I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet pinky promise."

I held my pinky out for him and he hesitantly locked his with mine. "Now can you tell me what you're doing out of class young man," I asked him sternly with my hands on my hips looking a lot like the great Elizabeth Mason herself, "I-I forget my bi-biology book and was getting it from my locker." I can practically feel the poor thing shaking, so I tried to calm his nerves by giving him a reassuring smile, thankfully he looked less scared which was an achievement I guess.

"Well why don't you head back to class, I'm sure the bell is about to ring," just as I said that the bell rang and students started filling the hallways. Milo (I remember Edward telling me his name during lunch), looked like he was going to start panicking, gave me one last skeptical look before making a dash for one of the classrooms. I shook my head at the weird human boy and then realized that I should probably start looking for Edward since he was no longer in class.

So I looked around one last time and focused my attention on finding Edward. I found him gripping the reception desk which looked like it was about to break any second, and that's when I knew something was very wrong and my worries only increased when I came face to face with a dark and murderous looking Edward Anthony Mason Cullen.

A/N: Sooo its been a long time and I really wanted to update, but I was having a bit of writes block, so instead of writing I spent my time watching BTS videos and reading a ton of fanfics.

What do you think so far, I mean I'm not really that happy with this chapter, but I'm too lazy to write it again....sorry, but not really.  Anyways have a good day/night and see you in the next chapter. :)
