"So, you not only got yourself fired on your first day, but got Milagro fired too?" Angie says into her phone as she lays on her bed

"Yes, but I also got a job opportunity from Jenny Kord. You keep forgetting that." Jaime says

"I'm not forgetting it."

"Then why won't you say it?"

"Because," She says sitting up against her headboard, "The Kords aren't really known for actually helping people. They usually just take."

"Well, it seemed like she was arguing with her aunt when I stepped in. Almost like she was trying to do the right thing."

"Look, Jaime, I'm happy for you. I really am." She sighs, "I just don't want to you get upset if this doesn't work out like you think it will."

"It will. It has to." He says softly

Angie's face softens as she picks at her bedding. She knew Jaime was worried about his family and wanted to get a job as soon as possible. What kind of friend would she be if she shot him down?

"You know what? It's gonna work. She was nice enough to offer you a job. There aren't many people doing that. Hopefully they pay a lot."

Jaime laughs, "I would think so. They own more than half the city."

"Doesn't mean anything." She says, "But if you say it's gonna be good, then I believe you."

The line goes quiet for a few seconds. Angie looking up at her ceiling as Jaime sighs softly, "Thank you, Angie."

"For what?" She mutters

"Always being there. I don't think I would be able to do half of what I do without you."

Angie feels her heart skip a beat as she sits there. She lets out a breath, "Of course, Jaime. What kind of friend would I be if I wasn't there?"

Jaime chuckles, "A pretty bad one I guess."

Angie laughs as she lays back against her pillow again. Unbeknownst to her, Jaime mirrored her actions. His heart dropping a little at the title she gave herself.

Jaime makes his way up to the building. He stops before the steps and looks up at the building.

He exhales, "All right, okay, Jaime. You got this."

"¡Ánimo, mijo!" His dad yells

Jaime sighs as he turns around, "God..." His family and Angie were standing by the car smiling at him. He gives an embarrassed smile, "Thank you, Apa. Ya, pues, you guys can go, okay?"

"You're gonna be okay, flaquito. You belong here." Rocio says

"Yeah, cabezon. You look like an asshole just like everybody else here." Rudy yells as he stands on the drivers side.

"¡Ven aquí! ¡Olvidé darte una bendición!" His nana says waving him over. She crosses his heart while giving him a blessing. Jaime smiles as he nods.

"Okay." He laughs as she smiles

Milagro leans over Angie, "Bring your A-game, bro."

"Yeah." He nods. He looks over at Angie who gives him an encouraging smile, "You got this."

"Bring a Molotov cocktail to burn this dump down!" Rudy yells making Jaime go wide eyed

"Okay!" He says waving him down. Milagro stands on the backseat as Jaime starts to walk away.

"Hey, and get me a job, too!" Milagro says. Jaime waves her off causing Angie to laugh. Milagro starts to hit the top of the car, "Jaime, Jaime, Jaime..."

His family starts chanting as Angie laughs. She starts to join in as Jaime waves awkwardly at some people passing, "They don't get out much."

Rudy starts honking the horn causing Jaime to walk faster into the building.

"So, you went in to get us jobs, and all you brought back was a hamburger?" Milagro says as they stand around the table

"Okay, I don't think it's a burger." Jaime says

"You haven't looked?"

"She said not to open it. I..."

"Oh..." Rudy groans as Milagro scoffs, "She's not here."

"What?" Jaime says

"¡Que lo abra!" His dad chants

"!Que lo abra!" Everyone chants as Jaime smiles, "¡Que lo abra! !Que lo abra!"

"Okay, okay. One look." Jaime chuckles, "Oh, you guys are so childish."

As he opens it, Angie leans over his shoulder. Rudy furrows his brows, "What the hell is that?"

It was what looked like a giant blue bug. Not to mention the random fries on the side.

"Huh." Rocio mumbles, "Parece un chongo, ¿verdad mi amor?"

"Si, verdad." Roberto says, "Why was she hiding it?"

"I don't know." Jaime says

"Hm." Milagro mutters, "It's kind of a letdown."

"The world's biggest tick." Rudy says causing Angie and Milagro to chuckle

"Okay. You guys are the ones who wanted to see it." Jaime says closing the box, but Milagro hurries and grabs it, "Hey, hey, hey!" Jaime exclaims, "Milagro. Okay, look. Very mature, but she said to not open it, so please-"

"Mmm, she said for you to not open it, bro." She says waving it around before passing it to Rudy

"Stop, stop. Hey!" Jaime says

"It's heavy." Rudy says

"Okay, okay."

"I'm gonna use a motor, all right? I'm gonna get my drill."

"Wait, wait!" Jaime says snatching it from him. Rocio hits Rudy's arm, "Don't get the drill! What are you doing?"

"God, I hate when you do that." Rudy mumbles as the "bug" starts to glow in Jaime's hand. It hums as Jaime brings it up to his face.

"Whoa." Jaime, Milagro, and Angie mumble. Angie stepping a little closer as Jamie looks at it.

"Ooh. Is that the new Tamagotchi?" Rudy says

"How did you get it to do that?" Angie says

"I don't know." He mutters. He smiles as it starts to move, "Ama. I think it likes me."

Angie's eyes go wide as it jumps on Jaime's face. He stumbles back, "What the hell?!"

They all start to scream as Jaime falls back into the wall. A picture falls as he waves his arms around, "It doesn't like me!"

"Jaime, it's on your face! It's on your face!" Rudy yells

"Get it off!"

"Oh my god!" Angie yells as she and Milagro back up

"Alberto!" Rocio yells as Milagro screams

"Cabezon!" Rudy yells as he runs over. He tries yanking it off, but gets blown back. Knocking over the water dispenser as he falls to the ground. Angie ducks as the spark goes all the way around the kitchen.

Jaime stumbles around as the bug climbs around his body. He falls onto a table as the chandelier falls. Alberto runs over to Jaime as he breathes heavily. He helps Jaime stand up. The boy turns feeling all over his body.

Angie looks him over, "What the hell?"

"Where did it go? Where did it go?" Alberto asked backing away. Jaime breathes heavily.

"Oh, man! I'm trying to help you, cabezon!" Rudy says

Jaime looks up wide eyed, "I think it's inside of me." He gasps as he grabs at his hair, "Oh, my God! It's inside of me!"

"Inside you? How?" Angie breathes

"¡Se le metió por el culo!" Rudy says as he sits up.

Angie jumps as Jaime starts yelling. As he falls to his knees, Angie and Milagro get closer. They watch as the back of his jacket starts to burn and legs break through. They all yell as he flies up to the ceiling.

Rudy screams, "He's possessed!"

Jaime's clothes continue to burn as black surrounds him. He screams out as his arm flies out and sticks to the ceiling.

"Oh, my God." Milagro says

"Jaime!" Rocio yells

"Angie!" Jaime screams

"Jaime!" Angie says

"Jaime! Jaime!" Rocio says. They all back up as he starts to unwillingly crawl across the ceiling.

"Rudy, what's going on?" Jaime calls out. His whole body being covered in blue armor. His screams become distorted as his face is covered in the armor.

"He's moving. He's moving." Rudy says

"Jaime?" Angie says

Jaime looks around, "No, no, no! No!"

He tries grabbing at his face, but it becomes covered anyway. The legs detach themselves from the ceiling. Jaime yells as he falls onto the table breaking it.

"Damn! Shit." Rudy yells, "That scared the frijoles outta me."

"Are you okay, mijo?" Alberto asks as Jaime starts to sit up

"Cabezon." Rudy says

"Jaime?" Angie says carefully

"Flaquito." Rocio says shakily. Rudy crosses his heart as Jaime turns around. The water that spilled sizzling under him as he walks up to a picture.

"What the f..." He covers his mouth as he turns around, "Who said that?"

"Said what?" Angie asks

"Wait. You don't hear that?" He says walking closer

"Don't look at him in the eyes." Rudy says as Jaime looks around

"Flaco?" Alberto says

"Mijo?" Rocio calls out

"There's a voice in my head." Jaime says as he looks down. They watch as sparks flow throughout the suit, "What is happening? Systems check?"

They jump as something blows out behind him, "It's okay. It's gonna be okay!"

He's cut off when he flies through the roof. Angie's jaw falling slack as they step over to look at the hole in the roof.

"Oh my god." She mutters as she looks around at the now damaged kitchen.
