Unlike the other kids, Kayla is not a rich kid. She comes from a normal family that just happened to win a scholarship to this school. Kayla simply got lucky, before this, she just went to public school and worked all the time. Her home life isn't the best, her mother isn't allowed around her or her family. That old lady is his entire life, and he loved her dearly. She is the best thing that could have happened to him, she did everything, paid attention to him, played games with him, and two used to go out and explore. That is why he is the person he is today. Even though Kayla and Nic were no longer together, that didn't mean the two didn't speak. Just yesterday, Nic had one of his friends slam his good playing hand in the locker to prevent him from playing tennis. It was the best thing he could come up with. Anyway, they had him sit out in the benches, watching everyone else attend their gym class. That's when Kayla approached the benches, "Heard what happened, is your hand going to be okay?" she asked.
