Jungkook woke up to the loud drops of rain falling onto the pavement, rubbing his eyes with his sweater paws. He turns to his side to grab his phone to check the time. It was 8:23 am.

He sighs, his chest feeling empty. But he feels his heart drop when he checks the date.

June 14.

He bites his lip, feeling tears spring to his eyes. It had been a year. A year since his everything was taken away from him.

He lies back down on his back, staring at the ceiling as he feels a lump rise in his throat. He hated the feeling. All he could do was cry and cry and cry, and he couldn't do anything about it. He wanted to go back to sleep, but a sharp ringtone resounds in the room, and he rolls over to his side again to retrieve his phone.

"Hello?" his groggy voice says. A sad sigh comes from behind the line.

"Hey Kooks. It's been a year, now." she sighs. Jungkook smiles sadly.

"Yeah. It's been a year. I can't believe it."

"I'm coming over. I'll pick you up in ten minutes."

He bites his lip again, a habit that he did often, and forces another melancholic smile. "Yeah. Okay. See you then." he ends the call, getting up to get ready.

After brushing his teeth and washing his face, he puts on a simple grey sweater and his sweatpants. He stuffs his phone and house keys into his pocket before leaving his room to wait for her.

He leans his head on his palm, staring at the sad world outside. Even the earth was mourning. He watched millions of water drops fall unto his windows and slide down to join large puddles outside his house. His thoughts wander endlessly, before he is snapped back into reality by a honk of a horn.

He quickly locks his door up, pulling his hood to his face as be runs to the car, slamming the door behind him. His face is met with a girl older than him, her black hair tied into a messy bun, her bloodshot eyes covering the once beautifully hazel brown. She was dressed in a simple sweater and jeans.

"Hey Kookie." she smiles, albeit sadly. "You okay?" she asks. Jungkook sighs. "I should be asking you that, Y/n."

She was always so considerate of other people's feelings that she forgot about her own in the midst of it.

"I mean, I think so. But everytime I think about it, I-"

Jungkook places a hand on her shoulder,  rubbing it softly. "Shh. Don't say anything anymore. Let's just go."

She starts the car and leaves the younger's house behind, driving to a place they frequently visited nowadays. It was dark and spooky, but it held something so meaningful to them, so special.

"I can't believe it's been a year. How did we even get by?" she chuckles dryly, no humor falling from the sound. Jungkook sighs. "I don't know either. I don't want to think or talk about i-it. I...we suffered for so long. It's not fair." he says, on the brink of bawling. Y/n says nothing about that, but continues driving.

The rain had stopped, although the sky was still grey when they got to the special place. It was dark and scary, and it would've been enough to make anyone either piss their pants or get out of there as fast as they could.

But Jungkook and Y/n couldn't do that. They found that their hearts and their feet kept dragging them closer and closer to a specific spot, and their breaths hitch, like how it does everytime, when it comes in sight.

Because there sat six gravestones.

The two felt the usual tears spring to heir eyes, feeling the painful sting in their hearts and the sadness that it brought over them. In Y/n's arms were flowers. Six roses. She placed one on top of each of the graves and sat back with Jungkook.

"You'll go first, Kookie?" she asks, looking at the younger boy. "Y-Yes please, noona."

She nods, standing up to leave him alone for a bit. He takes in a shaky and sharp breath.

"H-hi hyungs."
