Wait - What
THIS IS, AGAIN, UNEDITED SO SORRY!
"Should we try calling Ro and Lovise again?" Dex asked. He wistfully looked at the lockerbay outside the locker through the small holes.
Keefe shook his head. "Even if they hear us, I doubt they'll let us out."
Dex gave a loud sigh.
"Can we try something?" Keefe asked.
"What's the something?"
"Like," Keefe wiggled his elbows, "there's a lot of space here, but not much space..." he gave a small gesture to the two of them with his thumbs which were on Dex's belly button by that point, "here."
"We can try it, but neither of us will be able to look outside."
"True, true." Keefe said. "I know we're kind of already super - uh - pressed together, but, and this is going to sound weird at first-"
"Do you want me to try and get closer?" Dex guessed. He felt very skeptical of the idea, understandably.
Keefe nodded. "Please? I just want to try something really quickly."
Dex bit his lip, though he did as he was told still. Hesitantly, he put his cheek besides Keefe and took half a step forward. Their legs were like a pattern - Dex, Keefe, Dex, Keefe - but neither of them said anything about it. He kept his arms and hands where they were, caging Keefe's face.
Keefe pressed himself against Dex a bit more, and moved so that his palms were no longer on Dex's abdomen area, but so that he could give Dex a hug of sorts. His wrists seemed to rest against the boy's shoulder blades along with half of his palms, the rest of which were on Dex's shoulders.
"Nice to see you too," Dex snorted. Keefe could tell he was trying to hide his embarrassment.
"On the count of three, turn so that your back is to the front of the locker." Keefe commanded, turning his head so that he could just whisper it into Dex's ear. He hid his laugh as the Technopath gained even more fluttery emotions.
"'K." Dex said. It was almost a whisper, but wasn't quite. "What should I do with my hands?"
"Just travel them across the locker, maybe?"
Dex nodded and waited for Keefe to start the count down.
"One, two, three!"
Awkwardly, the two turned themselves until they were how Keefe was hoping they'd be - in the same positions with one another, but with a bit more room. Granted, it wasn't much room, but at least he didn't have to worry about accidentally connecting lips with the Technopath as much as before.
Dex grinned at him, carefully dropping his arms to his sides. "My nose won't hit yours anymore."
"That was the plan."
Dex nodded before smirking.
"What?"
"Tag!"
Keefe raised his eyebrow. Dex Dizznee did not want to play this game... "Tag!" He yelled, however instead of just hitting his shoulder, or side, or hand he brought his hands down to Dex's sides where he knew the boy's only ticklish spots were.
"Wait, no!" Dex squealed, attempting to smack his hand away. "Stooop!"
Keefe chuckled as the other tried to protect himself by keeping his biceps to his sides and wiggling around, convulsing in giggles.
"I'm serious!"
"I'm bored!"
"Well, un-bored yourself!" Dex made a squeaky noise again, practically doubling over.
"I am!"
"Not like this!" Dex yelled. "I will knee you someone you'll find very displeasing - stop!"
Keefe laughed, but dropped his hands anyways.
"I'm literally going to kill you once we're out of here."
The Empath shrugged. "Good luck catching me, Ding-Dong."
Dex leaned into his face. "I literally have my leg inbetween yours do not tempt me to harm you."
"Stop threatening me!"
Dex shrugged in response. Cheeky bastard.
1 Hour In
"This is stupid." Keefe mumbled against Dex's shoulder. He'd been pretending to gnaw on it for five minutes in boredom.
"I'm going to kill everyone involved in this whole thing once we're free." Dex declared. "Shouldn't Ro and Lovise be concerned by now?"
Keefe shook his head. "No. You smell like strawberries."
"Keefe, are you okay?"
1 Hour and 15 minutes In
"Do you wanna come over to my house later?"
Dex looked forward again, his screaming having been interrupted by Keefe's question. "Why?"
"I got a ton of elixirs to prank dead ol' dad with."
"Sounds good."
"Cool."
"Cool."
1 Hour and 30 minutes In
"Tag."
"Tag."
"Tag."
"Tag."
"Tag."
"Tag."
"Tag - how much longer do you think we have?"
"I don't know, probably not too much longer. My legs are starting to cramp - tag."
"Tag."
"Tag."
1 Hour and 45 minutes In
"You know," Dex mumbled into Keefe's shoulder.
"Hm?" Keefe asked, his head also on the other's shoulder.
"I've literally never been so bored. And I played dead for ten days."
2. Hours. In.
Dex bolted upright. "That was the bell. Oh my God, that was the bell."
"Quick, turn back to how we were before!" Keefe said, already ushering them to spin in a circle.
"Help!" Dex yelled. "Please!"
"I can't take this snuggle stuff much longer!" Keefe screamed. Dex kicked his foot.
"We're trapped in here!"
Sadly, despite their calls, everyone just passed them by. The two watched as the students headed for lunch, not minding them any attention.
"Can they even hear us?" Dex grumbled.
"GET US THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" Keefe screamed.
A few turned their heads, but they didn't even stop to ask if the two boys would be okay.
One of them even whistled! The. Nerve.
"PLEASE!" Dex yelled. "IT'S THE TRIPLETS FAULT - STOP WIGGLING YOUR EYEBROWS!"
And then... They were gone. Every. Last. One. Of. Them.
Dex turned to Keefe, sharply. "The lengths I go for you."
"I'm sorry!" Keefe said for what might've been the billionth time. "Weren't you honored I chose you as my fake boyfriend a little while ago?"
"Yeah - but-"
"Fake?" A feminine voice with an accent asked.
"Bi - Biana. Hiiii..." Keefe grinned.
"Did you say fake boyfriend?" She asked, leaning in to stare directly between the slots. "Because if so, I'm going to murder you both."
Dex gripped Keefe's arm. "Biana, please let us out. We can explain everything."
The Vacker girl looked between the two of them and, without saying a word, stormed off.
"Oh my God." Keefe mumbled. He would've ripped his hair out if he had the chance then. And after that he would've changed his identity and moved to, like, the Forbidden Cities or something. This was bad. This was very, very bad.
"At least we're going down together?" Dex tried.
"We're doomed."
"We're doomed, yeah."
"You two are locked in a locker?" Another female voice called.
Dex's nerves spiked through the roof as Lady Iskra rounded the corner. "Hi, ma'am."
She walked up to the locker and raised an eyebrow. Biana stood behind her, arms crossed.
"How on earth did this happen?" She demanded.
Dex gave a sheepish smile. "The triplets. I just wanted to say hi to him before class started..."
"I'm sorry," Keefe said. He had no idea why he was apologizing, but this woman was terrifying. "It's sort of my fault in that respect. I just wanted to ask him if he'd go to the dance with me." It wasn't his most clever lie, he'd been hoping the two of them could just say they were staying home and watching movies when his friends would ask later.
"Well that's cute," Lady Iskra said. Keefe had a feeling she was commenting more on the way Dex was blushing than anything else. He couldn't decide if she seemed nice or scary.
Dex swallowed and looked down as the mentor began working with the lock. Within seconds, the locker was pulled open and the two were set free.
"Thank you, ma'am." Dex said, stepping out the second he was able to.
"Why do you keep calling me ma'am. Yesterday you called me 'grandma' - make up your mind, kid." And with that, she stormed off. "And I expect you to make up your session!"
Dex's head fell as Keefe took a slow step out of the locker. "So, about what you heard."
Biana put her hand up. "Save it. I don't want to know anymore. But I am royally pissed because I just asked Sophie to go on a date with me because of you two."
"Wait - what?"
