"You gotta understand that Mogadishu in the '90s was a hellhole. Warlords controlled whole swaths of the city. My team and I were charged with cleaning the place up." Kreese explained to Aisha and Hawk. Miguel and Jamie sat on the floor stretching.

"How many warlords did you kill?" Hawk asks

"You keep track of every ant you stomp out?" Kreese said. Miguel scoffed.

"Whoa. Badass."

"They were outgunned, we were outmanned. I tell you, Rwanda was no joke." Kreese said. Jamie frowned as she and Miguel stood up.

"Don't you mean Somalia?" Jamie asked. Kreese turned to her. "Mogadishu is in Somalia, Rwanda's a whole different country."

He looked her up and down before turning back to Hawk and Aisha, "Of course, Somalia. I've spent so much time in the sandbox, it all kind of bleeds together, you know?" He chuckles

"Listen up!" Johnny yelled as he walked out of his office, "I see we've got some new recruits. Everybody, fall in."

The class moves as Johnny stands in the front, "In neat rows and lines." He looks around the class, "Time to see what you're made of."

"Straighten up, ginger twins." He says as he walks through the class. The students stand straight as he continues walking. He stops in front a man older than the rest of the students. "Sorry, parents can't stay for class. It's an insurance thing."

"I'm not a dad. I..." He stutters, "I am here to kick some ass, sir!"

"Do I know you from somewhere?" Johnny whispers

"Oh, yeah, they, uh..." He turns and points, "I sold you the mirror. We kind of bonded, talked about rock bands."

"Look, you're a little old. This is a class for teenagers."

"Well, I can take 'em." He chuckles, "I'm not afraid of kids, sir. And my mom, she doesn't charge me rent, so I got a lot of cash to burn." He says as he pulls out money from his shirt pocket.

"Yeah." Johnny says as he takes the money, "We'll consider this a trial run."

Johnny goes back to the front, "I thought my last group of recruits was pathetic. But if you do what I tell you to do, you'll at least have a chance of becoming a fighter. But to do that, you gotta fight. So, which one of you has the balls to take on the champ?"

The class looks around. Jamie turns to Miguel as he holds a smug look on his face. She scoffs and rolls her eyes.

"Uh..." The man speaks up

"I'll take him on." The class turns to see a girl with blonde hair standing in the back.

"Oh, you will, huh?" Johnny says as he walks towards her

"I saw your little demo at Valley Fest. You guys can put on a show, but can you actually fight?"

Jamie eyebrows furrow as she looks at Aisha whose brows raise.

"That sounds like a challenge."

"I like a challenge." She smirks

Johnny nods, "Mr. Diaz, show little Miss Hotshot here what Cobra Kai is all about."

Miguel bows as the rest of the class disperse to the outside of the mat. Jamie stands next to Aisha as Miguel and the girl go to the middle of the mat.

"Look, are you sure that you wanna do..." Miguel starts before the girl kicks him in his chest sending him back. Jamie chuckles as Miguel regains his balance. "All right. Game on."

The girl swings at Miguel who blocks it quickly. She swings again as he ducks just barely missing it. She then swings again before kicking at him which he blocks. They back away from each other.

"Close the gap." Miguel says. The girl charges at him again as Miguel does a leg take down.

The girl stands up before she charges at him again. Miguel blocks her punches before taking her hand and pushing her away. She tries to elbow him which he blocks.

"You're telegraphing." Miguel says quickly as the girl tries hitting him. Miguel kicks her in her stomach sending her to her knee. Johnny smirks as Miguel looks down at her. "Don't let me see it coming."

She then tackles him to the ground before she stands up, "Did you see that coming?"

Miguel quickly takes her down again. He sits up on his hands as he looks over at her, "Maybe." He stands up and holds his hand out to help her up. "My name's Miguel."

"Tory." She grabs his arm and flips him before putting him in a lock. "With a "Y."

Jamie laughs as she watches Miguel groan.

Jamie was walking out of the dojo as Miguel came out behind her.

"Jamie." He calls out. She turns around as she raises her brows. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure. "

He walks closer as he looks around, "Are you worried at all? About Mr. Kreese?"

"I think he's kinda weird. Something's definitely off." She shrugs as he looks down. She frowns, "Why?"

"I don't know. His stories just don't make sense. Like what you pointed out earlier. Just seems like he's up to something."

"I mean, maybe, but he is a friend of sensei's so."

He chuckles as he nods. "Yeah."

"Anyway, I gotta go. Sienna is forcing me to go to the beach club because her dad is making her go." She says as she uses her hands to talk.

"Yeah. Okay." He says. Jamie smiles as she turns away. She doesn't get far as Miguel speaks up. "Jamie?"

"Yeah?" She watches as his mouth opens and closes as he searches for the words. She raises her brows as she tilts her head.

He looks up at her and decides against speaking up, "Uh, have fun at the club." He nods as he smiles slightly.

"Thanks." She smiles slightly as she turns away finally leaving.

Sienna and Jamie sat on beach chairs as Sienna sighed loudly. She'd been doing this for a couple of minutes. but Jamie ignored her. Jamie finally looked over at her with wide eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"Oh, I'm so glad you asked." She says as she sits up straight. Jamie sighs as she swung her legs over the seat to face Sienna.

"So, that Eli kid? Does he have a girlfriend?"

Jamie laughed, "You're into Hawk?"

"Shut up and just answer the damn question." She huffs, "And his name is Eli, not Hawk."

"Yes, he has a girlfriend. Moon."

"Moon?" Jamie hummed in agreement, "Of course, it's Moon. Not like she was involved in making fun of him or anything."

Jamie shrugged, "She's pretty. I'm guessing he doesn't care about the rest."

"Interesting." She mutters, "Anyway, let's go."

"What? Go where?" She says as Sienna pulls her up

"Anywhere." She says as Jamie huffs

"Hey guys." Aisha smiles as they run into each other.

"Hey." Jamie smiles. She looks over to the girl on Aisha's side. "Hey, I'm Jamie."

"Tory." She smiles, "You were in the class earlier."

"Yeah." She nods. "This is Sienna."

"Hey." Tory says as Sienna smiles.

"You're really good by the way. Was hoping that someone would wipe the stupid smirk off of Miguel's face."

Tory laughs. She goes to respond before she's interrupted, "Hey!" The girls look to see Sam storming over. "My mom's missing her wallet."

"Sucks for her." Tory chuckles as Jamie rolls her eyes.

"What the hell does that have to do with her?" Sienna says

"You wouldn't know anything about that?" She says directly to Tory

"Wait. Wait, what are you saying?" Aisha frowns

"Just give me the wallet, and I won't tell security."

"Are you freaking kidding me?" Tory scoffs

"Sam, she didn't steal your mom's wallet." Aisha says dumbfounded

"Right. And she didn't steal a bottle of vodka. And you wouldn't steal half the silverware in here." Sam says

Sienna groans loudly as Jamie chuckles humorlessly, "Unbelievable."

"Listen, I didn't rob your mom, bitch." Tory says as she walks closer to Sam. "You know what? Let's get out of here."

Tory turns to leave with Aisha. Sam pulls at her bag as Tory quickly turns and pushes her. "Get off of me!"

Sam fails to catch herself as she falls into the table. The entire thing collapsed and Sam fell to the ground with food landing all over her.

Jamie and Aisha gasps as Sienna starts cackling. Tory leaves as Aisha walks up to Sam.

"Are you okay?" Aisha asks

"Real nice friend you've made." Sam spits. Sienna laughs harder as she watches her causing Jamie to look away to hide her laugh.

"You shouldn't have accused her of something like that." Aisha scoffs before she follows Tory.

Sam looked over to Jamie and Sienna as Sienna continued to laugh.

"Sienna." Jamie tried in a hushed tone, "We have to go."

"I'm gonna pee." Sienna laughs as she leans down. "Oh my god, I'm gonna pee." She gasps as she hurries to leave with Jamie following behind her.

"The back thrust kick works like this." Johnny says as he demonstrates, "You step, pivot, throw a side kick."

"What about if your opponent attacks you from behind?" Hawk asks

"Excellent question. Sensei Kreese, you wanna take this one?" He says as he turns to Kreese

"Certainly, Sensei Lawrence." Johnny steps to side as Kreese walks up

"You sure about this, Sensei?" Miguel whispers.

"There's nothing to worry about." He whispers back as he smiles. Miguel nods before turning to Jamie who has an uncertain look in her eyes.

"The key to this move is making your enemy think you are retreating. But just as they let their guard down, that's when you strike the hardest." Kreese says as he demonstrates.

Jamie sighs deeply as class continues.
