Welp, I didn't make it into Round 2 BUT I did write six times the amount of words needed for Round 1. (That's 12k words; I have about 13k!)

That's a mighty achievement for me, including developing a steady writing habit. Writing in first person didn't turn out to be so bad either.

Congrats to all my friends who made it to Round 2! Go for gold and surpass this Round and subsequent rounds. Be a Top Five or Grand Prize winner. I'm counting on you!

Also, if you're disappointed your story didn't power through, don't be. Your writing quality isn't defined by a rubric or standard. Your readers are out there, just waiting to come across your book and get blown away.

With regards to this story, there will still be slow updates as I want to split my attention between my two ongoing fanfictions.
