80k! : We're Waiting Every Night

Finale
This is a long one
Implied and attempted child murder 🧸

There was no reason to be afraid of the dark, it was comforting and embracing, it was ever growing and waning between night and day. When you are afraid of the light, you hide in the shadows. There was no hidden intention to darkness itself.

There was no reason to be afraid of the dark, but (y/n) was. Not just from the twisting shadows that smiled and scowled, but of the creatures that hid in the shadows with you.

'Don't be afraid,' they would whisper, but humans aren't known to be a trusting species, because they are always afraid of something. Whether it was someone else or themselves, fear is always involved.

The two children stood in front of a large hallway, its looming presence a shadow that dragged across their gazes. It was ridiculous that a mere hallway seemed to be a plight of death, but something about it was alluring, but also foreboding. Almost as if a powerful force was interfering with any sort of thought of the dark corridor.

Amber chuckled nervously, his fingers pinched together. His eyes scanned the area warily, he could not see the end of it, yet he had an inkling of what was back there.

It was just a couple of party rooms, those of which are not done with construction. They were probably empty rooms of wreckage that have yet to be fixed. If you glanced to the near side, there were bathrooms diagonal to each other, these were usable, but few people have walked in and out of them.

And to the far back, it was the security guards room. Unseeable in the darkness, but its presence was known through invisible cameras that littered the area. If you looked for the silent eyes, you would see them in small, blinking, red lights.

This hallway was altogether avoided by the masses. Their voices and chatters were clear to the children's ears, but the comfort of crowds still felt far away. The corridor was the most diminished area of the diner. Employees recommend that customers stay in the dining area, and that they should only go into the hall for the bathrooms.

(Y/n) wanted to protest entering it, but found no excuse to say. Her parents aren't here, it was just her and Amber. But she didn't like the idea of just waltzing in, what if they get caught? She wanted to say this is why she was fearful, but she knew she was really afraid of the dark, of separating from the public.

The boy came up with the idea to look for ghosts. He mentioned the hallway, that always seemed to be there, but forgotten at the same time. The children would run past it, laughing, but they seldom even glanced at it.

"It would be fun," Amber said out of the blue, "we play in the diner way too much, it would be a nice change of things!"

Though he didn't know what exactly he was dealing with at the time. A nagging feeling pulled at his chest to turn back and mind his own business, but what was this suspicion? It's just a hallway, that's all.

Amber took a quiet step forward, then two, then three. He looked back at (y/n) who stared at him dumbfounded and urged her to follow him, "c'mon, (y/n)."

The girl averted her eyes before following the boy, who trudged forward like water was pulling at him. They continued down the tiled floor that tapped ominously between their shoes. They passed the bathrooms, something they have never walked past before.

"I'm not sure this is a good idea..." the girl was the first to speak. Amber glanced back at her, before flickering his eyes back to the old drawings on the walls. They were crayon sketches of the familiar band of three, as well as the fox animatronic Amber has never seen before. They had friendly smiles on their faces, offering cake and confetti to grinning children.

"We'll be quick, I just want to see what's back there, aren't you a little curious?"

"Yeah- but... I don't know about this place, it sounds like a bad idea."

They were passing the party rooms. They were all locked up tightly with wooden boards and locks. It was clear that no entry was allowed. A camera hung overhead, the red light blinked like a warning.

(Y/n) wondered if she had ever seen the guard enter or leave this hallway, but the first thing that came to mind was the mysterious, animatronic yellow rabbit that she saw so long ago. Her mind went to Caz, and then to Oliver, Susie, Fritz, and Cassidy. She felt a sudden melancholy in her chest for the friends she once had, but never saw again.

But she was happy with Amber. She feels bad for missing them this much, even though she had such a good friend with her, that she could rely on. Though he was missing some of the qualities they had, he was a great friend and he cared for her.

Even now, at the sound of her small protest, Amber seemed to hesitate, yet he didn't say anything to either retaliate or agree. She knew he was unsure of himself, but she will follow him wherever he wants to go if that makes him happy.

They'll be quick, the girl thought, Amber said they would be in and then out.

"(Y/n)!" A distant cry called out for her, seeming to be at the front of the hallway that they were trailing away from. The voice was urgent but scolding as well. The girl abruptly stopped in her tracks, for that was a tone she knew so well.

She turned around and gazed into the blue eyes of Caz, a friend she thought forgot about her. The boy was in the fresh light of the pizzeria, it shone in his hair and irises, a great contrast to the gloomy hallway she and Amber resided in. But she doesn't remember there being such a bright light before. He was frowning at her, his hand was outstretched, inviting the girl to take it, even though she was at a distance from him.

"...Caz?" The girl said quietly in disbelief, she never thought she would see him again. The boy blinked at her, before softly smiling at her, like he used to in the summer, like he still saw her as a good friend.

Children's laughter came from behind where he was standing, so familiar and lighthearted. There were the sounds of the animatronics singing, and the noisy, chattering crowd. The childish giggles sounded like her other friends' voices.

"Come here (y/n)," he beckoned, fingers twitching. The girl eyed his hand with hesitance, she didn't want to leave Amber behind in the scary hallway, but at the same time, she wanted to jump into Caz's arms again. As if reading her mind, Caz said, "you shouldn't be here before it's too late."

Unbeknownst to her, it was a warning.

(Y/n) took one small step towards the brunette, relieved to see him again, but as well confused. Why is he now coming to her, when she was here almost everyday before?

A warm hand gripped her wrist, it shocked the girl slightly, making her stop in her tracks. She spun around to look into the confused face of Amber. She blinked her eyes dizzily, like she was just in a trance. The boy stared at her for a moment before saying hesitantly, "where are you going?"

"Huh?"

"I found the security office, but when I saw you, you were walking away..." his voice didn't sound hurt, or mad, he sounded very confused.

"Oh, I just saw my..." the girl turned around to where Caz was at, but to her surprise, the boy was nowhere to be seen. The bright light was gone and the joyful laughter ceased. Her eyes widened as she felt a chill crawl down her spine. "...Friend?"

She thought she only took a few steps forward, but she realized that she was near the bathrooms again. Amber blinked at her, seeing her agitated and bewildered expression.

"Do you want to leave? You really don't look too good about this," Amber squeezed her wrist slightly, the girl nodded mutely. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this, it was a bad idea, let's just go."

As they trudged near the front of the hallway, Amber was explaining that he saw no security guard whatsoever in the room, but he also said he only got a tiny glimpse of it, so he could've be wrong. The girl believed that the security guard is not there, because they would be scolded about entering the hallway.

(Y/n) listened quietly to Amber's banter, still baffled by the strange vision of Caz she just had. Her imagination was wild, but never that crazy. The girl felt a pull in her heart, why is her mind playing tricks on her? The more she thought about them, the less happier her days were.

Amber completely stopped what he was saying and stared, dumbfounded at the sight before him. (Y/n) bumped into his back, blinking out of her melancholic thoughts of joyful giggles and melancholic happiness.

The two children never realized the strange sound of silence in the pizzeria as they grew closer to the front of the corridor. Even in the hallway, they heard the distant sound of the restaurant and the singing animatronics reverberating through the walls so clearly before. But it was quiet now, and it was dark.

The pizzeria was closed, and the children were trapped in it.

_______

(Y/n) was the first to burst out into panic, though Amber followed not too far behind. The pizzeria was empty, there were no security guards, employees, or any customers, there was no way to get help.

The children were going to be here for who knows how long, and (y/n) realized that with cold jabs of fear through her chest like icicles. At least she wasn't alone, she tried telling herself, but she knew Amber didn't know what to do either.

It was just daytime a moment ago! They were gone for what felt like five minutes, nothing more. How could it be night time? These were thoughts that ran through both their heads. There was just no explanation to this, nothing like this has ever happened to either of them.

Amber devised a plan, it was a quick way to get out, but he wasn't sure if it was even going to work. If it doesn't work, they are stuck here till opening time, the boy guessed. The front doors had a large metal gate blocking them, most likely closed by remote or an outdoor lock, no way to escape that way.

There had to be a back door somewhere, most likely in the kitchen, where the employees entered. He glanced into the pitch black hallway, then back to the fearful girl, there was really nothing left to lose, but there was no way the girl would follow him back in there.

"Hey," Amber said in a whisper, as if someone would be listening in on their conversation. He comfortingly grabbed the girl's forewarn, rubbing soft circles to soothe her panicked and labored breathing. "In the security room, there could be a key to the back door. I'm gonna go search for it, but I don't think you'd like to go back into that hallway with me."

The girl nodded weakly at his statement, he could be right. But the thought of being alone was terrifying. She had a feeling she knew what he was saying, and she didn't want him to go back in there while leaving her behind in that thick darkness. But she was afraid of that hallway, it held memories in it, memories that didn't seem to be her own.

"I'll be back very quickly, you just stay put. And when I come back, we'll go into the kitchen and see if there is a back door we could open, well, if I find a key of any sort..." Amber trailed off nervously, but he still smiled encouragingly at her. (Y/n) suddenly got a chilling thought of Caz from that soft smile, for it was the same one he gave her before.

"Before it's too late."

(Y/n) squeezed Amber's arm one last time before watching him disappear into the shadows. She let out a shaky sigh to calm herself down. He'll be gone for just a few moments, he said, just a few moments and then they'll leave.

There was no reason to be afraid, but  after a couple minutes, (y/n) felt a cold stab in her spine at the sound of quick, clanking footsteps. Heavy footsteps. They approached from a distance behind her. And with sudden silence, they stopped. That wasn't Amber, was it? He just disappeared into the hallway a moment ago, there would be no way he was behind her.

If it wasn't Amber then, who was it?

(Y/n) trembled as she turned around with the slowness of a tortoise, but when she gazed into the darkness, she didn't see anything strange. She was looking into the dark dining room. It was absurdly ominous seeing it as empty as a cemetery, when it was so full of children and adults just moments before.

She found her gaze traveling to the stage, she could barely make out the silhouettes of the animatronics. It was ironic that even at night, she could only get a glimpse of them. But... something was wrong, something was...

Gooseflesh traveled up the girl's arms and neck, and her hair raised in sudden, petrified fear. Bonnie, the purple rabbit and bass of the animatronic band, was nowhere to be seen. The spot where he would always stand was vacant.

Heavy footsteps stomped through the diner and the sound flew through (y/n)'s ears like gunshots. With widening eyes and clammy hands, the girl knew that the animatronic rabbit was off his stage.

And that Bonnie was in the darkness with her.

The girl heard the loud, metallic clicking sound get closer, and in a panicked frenzy, the girl dove beneath one of the clothed dining tables. Bonnie didn't seem to see her. It was strange to think about how she would've been ecstatic to see the animatronics move freely, but she knew herself that they shouldn't be able to do that.

The girl saw huge paw-like feet peek from underneath the table's white cloth. Every step the rabbit took seemed to shake the ground beneath her, and she now understood why, because Bonnie was humongous. The singular foot was bigger than her head. A stubby toe longer than her finger.

The girl enclosed her hands over her mouth, because she knew that if she made a single sound, Bonnie would hear her, and she was very afraid of what he would do if he did. This wasn't normal, the animatronic weren't supposed to do this!

As soon as Bonnie came close to the table, the sooner he had left. Though it relieved the girl, she still trembled beneath the table. The sound of his inner mechanisms creaked beneath his weight as he padded off. The girl heard him stalk away as she held back a fearful whimper.

But in a cold shock that traveled through her body, she realized that Amber was still in the building with her, and that Bonnie was traveling towards the hall from where the boy had left to look for some keys.

The girl scrambled hurriedly out of the table, but Bonnie's silhouette was already retreating into the darkness. In panic, the girl started to run after the giant animatronic, she wasn't sure why she had the courage to do such a thing, but she knew it was for Amber she was doing it for.

But when she sprinted towards the hall, a hand gripped the back of her shirt with a harsh roughness that made the girl swing back with a loud shriek. The fingers that gripped her were large and cold, they strangled her shirt with incredible strength, she was sure the fabric would tear at the seams.

(Y/n) struggled while screaming and crying. She flailed around uselessly as she was suspended off the ground like a toy figurine. The hem of her shirt pressed against her petite neck, silencing her cries to loud gargles and gasps. The fingers digging into her back were as cold as icicles breaking through your skin. The girl was spun around, and her eyes met the ones of her attackers.

She was looking into the cold, yellow face of Chica, the animatronic chicken. The robot's magenta optics were staring right through the little girl, they were manic, wild, and animalistic. The grip on her shirt tightened, the girl felt the cloth break beneath the strength.

(Y/n) stared into the chicken's dead eyes, her pleading gurgles reduced to terrified silence. Her small fingers pulled at the tightening hem of her shirt around her neck. She has never been this close to an animatronic before, it was ironic how she always dreamed of it, but now, all she could see was the gleaming plastic optics gazing into her very soul.

Chica was very still, the only way you could tell the animatronic was still functioning was the occasional twitch, and the harsh, breathing sound coming from her voice box. The little girl flinched every time the robot puffed, for it smelled like pesticide chemicals and rotting pizza. Chica's optics searched the girls very closely, they seemed to trail her body up and down, up and down.

Suddenly, the girl was carelessly dropped to the ground. She let out a shriek as she crumbled on the tiled floor. Chica was humongous, towering over the little girl like a Tyrannosaurus over a human baby. The robot was staring down at her with hungry, glowing eyes, emotionless and voiceless. They glinted with what almost seemed like...

(Y/n) was abruptly picked up again from beneath her arms, this time, by much bigger, metallic hands. She was spun around roughly, before her eyes met the haunting, blue eyes of Freddy Fazbear, that seemed to send a cold draft through the air. The girl squirmed in his tight grip like metal cables.

Freddy stared blankly at her, a hissing sound came from his voice box but his mouth didn't open. The girl became limp in his grasp, shivering in fear. The grip on her loosened a fraction, and with teary eyes, the girl was silently whimpering at the ruthless doom before her.

"...(y/n)?" A small voice asked, the whispering voice of a child. (Y/n) felt like ice water was poured on her. Who was that? She dared not to look away from Freddy. Who was still watching her intensely with the same look Chica had before.

"...is that you, (y/n)?" The girl held back a wail as she realized that the voice was coming from Freddy. The animatronic gently set her down on the ground, his large, cold hands the size of a grown man's head rested on her shoulders lightly, his black nails tugging at her neck.

The girl tried to pull away, but she felt cold, metallic fingers press against her back. It was Chica, staring down the girl like a child staring down at a Christmas present eagerly. The animalistic look in their optics reduced to a little more tame gaze, but the girl was shaking like a leaf in harsh winds. She whimpered as the two animatronics towered over her, giants compared to a toy figurine.

"...Can you hear me, (y/n)?" The child-like voice asked desperately, the girl shivered as one hand on her shoulder lifted up and grabbed her chin needily, his dark claws digging into her cheek. "Can you hear my voice?"

(Y/n) flinched away at the surprisingly gentle touch. She didn't like this, how did the bear know her name? Could he read her thoughts? Her fingers shakily grabbed the robot's arm and tried to pull the cold and stinging fingers away, but the robot refused to budge, the girl whimpered fearfully.

"...(y/n)!" The voice grew louder and anguished, like the animatronic was speaking to a statue that would never respond to his call. The girl, shocked, opened her eyes. She looked into the glowing, blue optics of Freddy, and familiarity, like a lightning bolt, striked right through her heart. Something was familiar about that voice all of the sudden. (Y/n)'s eyes widened, there was no way...

"C-Caz?" It came out shakily in a stutter, the animatronics fingers shivered and twitched beneath her chin at the mention of his name. A name he had forgotten for a long, long time.

The way the animatronics looked at her before, the way Chica's hands gently tugged at her hair, the way 'Freddy's' childlike voice reverberated through her ears like an eerie melody. There was no way that... These were her old friends?

A loud stomping was heard, and to her left she watched, terrified, as an animatronic that looked like it belonged in a freak car accident came limping out from behind the purple, star-print curtains. His chest was torn out, and his legs were just his bare endoskeleton. That was Foxy, the animatronic (y/n) had never seen outside of his curtains since summer left.

"...is that (y/n)?" It sounded like Fritz. But instead of warm and fiery it was cold and hollow.

A similar sound came from the hallway, and Bonnie emerged from the darkness. The girl was silently praying that Amber was alright, but the animatronics were closing in on her, and she wasn't sure what they would do to her. She wrenched away out of Freddy's grasp miraculously, before taking several steps back, staring nervously at them.

"...(y/n)." Oliver's voice crackled in Bonnie's voice box. Once full of cheer and laughter was now dead and wrathful.

They all bounded closer to her like animals, until she was backed up against a wall. Sharp eyes watched her and narrowed upon her small frame, but they all looked at her with a strange sense of familiarity. They were so different from her actual friends, her real friends were nice and friendly, they were not cold and mute.

"...(y/n)!" Susie's voice said in a quiet wail. A little girl who was as bright as the sun sounded like a cold, gray downpour.

They loomed over her like mountains, their optics were frozen shards of ice. Excited voices eerily swam through the air, they were like her friends but ghostly and hollow, they all whispered about her. The girl trembled beneath their gaze.

She thought of her friends in the summer, and all the strange stuff she has gone through with them, and only with them. From the building changing to the rooms spearing brighter and clean. From disappearing for a long time and then reappearing randomly, worrying her parents. When she was with them, something felt strange, but she chose to ignore it. These things before her, whispering and smiling down at her, were ghosts of what her friends were, and she wondered how they became animatronics, because she refused to believe these were her friends at all.

"...You're scaring me," it came out small and weak.  The voices hushed abruptly. Though all eyes were on her before, they all seemed to sharpen at her statement. "You're not my friends..."

Foxy chuckled humorously, Chica stared blankly at her, Bonnie seemed to glare at the girl, and Freddy smiled down at her, though it twitched, showing sharp teeth.

"Oh, (y/n), don't be silly! We're all together again, just like you were dreaming of!" Freddy's trademark voice mixed in with Caz's hiss. A boy who was caring and protective now sounded animalistic and manic. It sounded demonic even, so uncanny and cruel. The girl felt goosebumps crawl up her back. "We have been waiting for so very long for a friend, (y/n)."

"What are you doing!?" Hands reached out for the girl.

"We were happy with just you, (y/n), somebody who could see us," the girl pondered at what he meant, but there was only one thing that went through her mind, and that was stories of five children being murdered in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, nearly thirty years ago.

"Now that you are finally with us, we'd be very sad if you had to leave."

The animatronics leaned in towards her, hands outstretched. They all grinned at her. (y/n) pressed herself against the concrete wall, yelping at their terrifying smiles. She wailed out, "No! I want to leave! Just let us leave!"

"Us?" Fritz's voice growled out, it sounded like charred ashes. The animatronics smiles dropped. They paused in their antics. Freddy's eye twitched slightly.

"You were not supposed to run off with another little friend (y/n). You were supposed to stay with us forever. But you abandoned us," Oliver's voice said bitterly. (Y/n) flinched back from his tone, Oliver never used that type of voice before.

"No-no I didn't!"

"You left us for that little boy!"

"If you knew who we were, why didn't you just ignore us? Instead of hurting us more!"

"I didn't! You're not them! You're not them!" The girl gasped as she was grabbed roughly by Freddy, his nails dug into the skin of her arm. She cried out and struggled against his grip.

Chica suddenly pulled the girl's arm into her cold hands. Bonnie grabbed the other and held it tightly between his metal fingers. Foxy had a rough grip on her legs, baring his long teeth at her when she kicked and flailed. (Y/n) screamed, "No! No! L-Let me go! I'm sorry!"

Freddy cocked his head at her childishly as he towered above her, the manic look was back in his eyes. "If you want us to forgive you, you must stay with us forever, (y/n)."

"Ok! I-I'll stay with you! Just let me go and I'll come back another time!" (Y/n) tried to reason with the animatronic bear. Freddy shook his head disappointingly, chuckling darkly.

"You don't understand, dummy. When I mean stay forever, that means you are not leaving, ever." Childish giggles reverberated across the room, mocking the little girl. These were not her friends at all, why do they want to hurt her? Why are they acting like it's all a game?

"You know, you did us a nice little favor by coming to visit us at night," Freddy leaned in, sharply grinning over her face, blue eyes shining hungrily. The other animatronics giggles grew louder. "I think you even want to join us, but you are being a little shy about it."

"What are you going to do?!"

"The only way you could stay forever with us is by dying with us, (y/n). Let your soul merge with ours," Caz chuckled sadistically. (y/n) wailed out, struggling even more in the animatronic's tight grip. She didn't want to die! Her parents, her friends, Amber, what would she do in a world without them?

"We were murdered by him so long ago, if only you were there to join us..." Oliver whispered in her ear. The girl didn't know who he was talking about.

"He killed Lucky, (y/n), he killed Lucky and lured me into that room! He told me my poor baby was in there!" Susie's voice giggled maniacally to her left. (Y/n) thought of the cute dog Susie adored.

"He killed us all one by one, and you left us to rot alone in our own figment of reality," Fritz's voice cackled at her. It was unlike him, it didn't sound like the brave red head she once knew, Fritz was a gentle and kind person.

(y/n)'s eyes widened, as she finally realized why everything was strange and eerie. That whole summer she was playing with ghosts. They weren't real, just memories and figments of another time. But they somehow knew she was there, they chose her to be their friend.

All her memories came back to her, of laughter and joy. But also from when they refused to go outside, sad and bizarre look on their faces. And then they suddenly disappeared when summer was over. (Y/n) is starting to look at those memories with regret.

"Who? Who killed you?!"

"The yellow bunny, (y/n), you saw him and you never said anything to us."

"I didn't know! I-I didn't know! Leave me alone!" She wailed and screamed, weakly fighting against their grasps. Her attackers ignored her.

"Now, now our little (y/n), we've decided you'd be a perfect fit with me, because it was me who found you first." Freddy grinned widely down at her. "There's plenty of room for the two of us, but unfortunately, you must die. But you'll be in great hands when your soul is mine."

The animatronic leaned in slowly, before opening his large maw, practically unhinging his jaw. Inside were two rows of glistening sharp teeth, the second row was a metal endoskeleton jaw that hung eagerly open, ready to crush the girl's skull. The other robots slowly pushed (y/n) closer to Freddy's gaping mouth.

Their giggles turned into loud, manic, childish laughter. It's finally happening! Their little (y/n) joins them! Though they were quite envious, Caz was the one taking the first bite. Two ominous white pinpricks from above watched the scene with loud giggles herself, but another part of her was in despair.

The little girl screamed loudly, pushing and struggling with all her might, but she was being pulled closer and closer to Freddy's mouth. She cried out pleas and begs but nothing seemed to snap them out of their sadistic glee.

"Hey!" A cry of fury reverberated through the room, the girl watched in shock as something hit Freddy in the back of the head, a paper cup. Freddy's mouth snapped shut with a loud click. (Y/n) watched in terror as all the animatronics eyes turned demonically black, a single white pinprick flickered in their sockets.

Freddy slowly turned around, singular white pupil dilating with a completely manic look in them. Behind the animatronics was Amber, who stood shakily at the entrance of the hallway. He was pale, both his pale skin and his wide green eyes. He was sweating slightly, he trembled in place. He was terrified, and the animatronics knew it.

"...Amber!" (Y/n) cried out to him. The boy's eyes flickered from the animatronics faces to (y/n)'s. There was a petrified look in his gaze, a painful look in them. For he was just a young boy, and his best friend was going to die in front of him.

Freddy grinned humorously, all the other animatronics watched with blank faces. The girl felt their fingers twitch wildly, a low, static growling sound came from all their voice boxes.

"Ah, so you are (y/n)'s little friend, huh?" Freddy took a threatening step forward. Amber took a small step back and nodded. Freddy let out a low chuckle, it was as hollow as a dead tree. "So this is what our replacement is? A stupid little boy who can't keep his nose out of other people's business?"

The other animatronics giggled quietly, there demonic black, shining optics were back to normal. (Y/n) stared hopefully at Amber, who's eyes trained to hers before flicking back to Freddy's ice cold, blue ones. The bear animatronics grin was as sharp as a blade. "Can you believe this? This boy right here stole our (y/n)?"

"Yeah, so what if I did? What are you gonna do about it, gummy bear?" Amber shouted back with a shaky but smug smile. He watched as all the animatronics stiffened at his taunt, the air grew freezingly colder the angrier they got. And if Amber knew one thing now, it was that he knew that these animatronics were possessed by ghosts.  By the cold, angry feeling in the air, and the rumors of dead children that floated about.

He would've been shocked that ghost were actually real, but he was in an entirely different situation now. And by his knowledge he knew that ghosts were extremely easy to get angry.

But that was the plan. The other animatronics behind Freddy loosened their grip on a shocked (y/n), their focus was all on the little boy. A threatening growling sound grew out of their voice boxes as their optics flashed.

"My patience wears very thin when it comes to stupid children like you." Freddy's deep voice completely disappeared in his wrath. Only a little boy's voice was there, Caz's voice. And he sounded angry.

"Say's you, little kids. You may be thirty or something years older than me in time, but you all act like you're three year olds who can't share their toys!" Amber laughed accusingly but nervously at them. He shakily pointed tauntingly at the furiously trembling animatronics.

"Face it, (y/n) is my friend. You can act like mature adults all you want but you're still little boo-hoo crybabies! What's that? Am I making you mad? How about you cry to your mommies!"

"JUST SHUT UP!"

A terrifying and awful screeching sound echoed through the building from all the animatronics. (Y/n) was dropped to the ground with a 'oof' as she fell on her back. She suddenly looked up in fear as all the robots lunged towards Amber like rabid hounds. (Y/n) didn't know what Amber was thinking, but what she did know was that, whatever he was doing, it seemed to be working.

Amber's eyes widened, maybe he took it a little too far with making them mad. Foxy, being the fastest, leaped at him, mouth outstretched and ready to bite. Amber dove out of the way, barely dodging the metal hook that slashed through the air.

Freddy came next, laughing maniacally and rambling about how he would torture Amber's soul in the afterlife. Amber sweated nervously at the gruesome statements. Freddy's arms stretched out to grasp at the boy's neck, but the little rat ducked between the animatronics legs.

Next was Bonnie and Chica. They both advanced upon him with a wild look in their eyes. These were no longer animatronics, or ghosts, or poor children, these were rabid animals, foaming at the mouth and snapping their teeth. They were vengeful and wrathful spirits after years of being alone. They had become powerful enough to create a different reality that was once the past.

These were ghosts meant to be left at rest but were instead destined to haunt the name of Fazbear Entertainment forever.

Amber yelped and ducked out of Chica's range in a sudden jerky movement, the animatronic wailed at him, he didn't know whether it was a cry or a screech. His arms ended up being caught by Bonnie but he wrenched his hoodie off of him and pushed away from the purple robot. Bonnie tore the piece of fabric to shreds between his fingers, frustrated.

He came closer and closer to a shock (y/n). Jingling in his pants was the sound of keys and (y/n) grew hopeful, her fearful eyes brightening at Amber's bravery as a desperate shine appeared in her wide eyes. She smiled shakily at him, he did it! He found the keys!

"C'mon! I got the keys to the backdoor! Let's go!" Amber grabbed the girl tightly by the hand, his warm fingers interlocking with hers. They rushed rapidly towards the kitchen door.

The animatronics were right behind them, screaming for them to come back with growling and shrieking voice boxes. The children never looked back. Ghostly white pinpricks trailed after them over the animatronics, the air became chillingly cold. Whatever was following them was an incredibly powerful force.

The children shoved and pushed at the door but it wouldn't open. Childish giggles surrounded them, a little girl's laughter. (Y/n) gasped at the familiar sound, "Cassidy!"

They continued to desperately ram at the door but a strange force was keeping it closed, (y/n) knew that it was Cassidy causing this, they were not strong enough to endure her power. The animatronics were advancing on them.

Amber looked back, Foxy was ready to leap at them. And by the millisecond, he got an idea, he shoved (y/n) roughly to the floor, the little girl yelped at the sudden push. "Sorry!" But it came out brashly.

The pirate animatronic swiftly leapt in the air, arms outstretched in a killer embrace. Amber dove out of the way and the robot, with a loud crash, pounded the door off its hinges and tumbled into the dark kitchen counter.

Cassidy screamed loudly and the other animatronics desperately attempted to grab at the children, but Amber roughly hoisted (y/n) up to her feet and dragged her through the kitchen doorway, stepping over the door that was dented.

It was a large area and dark with metal counters and trays. To the back, there was a wide door with a glowing exit sign like a beacon, the way out.

Foxy was still recovering from the crash, he was buried in a mess of metal trays, but as the animatronic attempted to stand up, one of his metallic gave in, causing him to fall over. But nonetheless damaged, the robot roughly crawled towards them, dragging himself across the floor noisily. (Y/n) heard Fritz's voice rasping at them angrily over the pounding of her heart.

They continued to run towards the metal door. Freddy was gaining on them, his blue eyes were furiously glowing in the dark, making eerie shadows twist in front of them. Amber took out the keys, which were neatly labeled with the words back door and scrambled to unlock it.

Freddy stood menacingly before them, seeing that they could not open the door, he chuckled statically, uncannily like a little boy's voice. (y/n) met his face that was furiously grinning a smile full of sharp, shining teeth. His claws outstretched to grab them both, "this game of tag is over (y/n), you and Amber will be no more than little souls that will join me."

"No!" (Y/n) yelled at him harshly. She grabbed a metal tray and with all her might, threw it at the shocked animatronic. The tray slammed into the animatronics head, making an audible crunching sound as it fractured his plastic face with a small web-like crack. She wasn't strong or heroic, but she felt betrayed.

The animatronic screamed at her loudly. She grabbed another and began to shove the robots away with with waning effort as they grew closer and closer. Tears running down her eyes as she wailed, "you're not my friends anymore!"

Warm fingers latched onto her wrist just when the animatronics were getting close enough to snatch her, and (y/n) was pulled into the fresh night air with a shocked look on her face. Amber rushed past her and slammed the door shut, he shoved the key in and snapped it in half, keeping the door locked.

A banging sound was heard from the other side of it, the door dented but did not budge. The screams and wails of children calling out for her echoed through the weeping girls' ears.

Amber pulled her into a hug, and she felt something warm stain through her shirt as the boy trembled against her. The girl wrapped her thin arms around him, for she too was shaking like a delicate leaf. Her eyes rained tears as she sobbed into his shirt.

Only the night could hear the desperate and fearful cries of the children. Whether they were dead or alive.
