6 : Watch Over
My friend recently followed me and requested something 🥺🥺
______________
Gregory couldn't quite decipher what he felt about you, it was strange. Ever since you agreed to trust in him, he felt this strange feeling of getting away but as well staying by your side.
It sent him in a flurry of dull thoughts and strong, confusing feelings that he doesn't quite understand what they rooted from. It was pesky. It was pointless, but it felt good in a way.
Will he ever possibly figure out what is wrong with him? He hates not knowing the answers to questions.

Freddy thought you were peculiar, you were different from Gregory. You both seemed to be like a picture frame, it was easy to see the photo on the inside, a happy child who dreamt of fairytales and kindness. While Gregory was like a frame with too many cracks on it, you wouldn't be able to see the photo inside clearly.
Though, the animatronic bear doesn't seem to know where the picture-frame analogy came from, I guess you could say he was the poetic type.
You stood close to Gregory most of the time when the trio walked quickly back into the lounge. You seemed to trust Gregory. You would hold hands with him though the boy seemed to be annoyed, you would follow him around though he seemed to scold you.
For some reason, the animatronic wanted you to trust him like that, too.
He was designed to entertain children, yes, but who said he couldn't protect and watch over them? Keep them safe and sound, only him? Could he be like those caring and doting parents he sees at the Pizzaplex.
What is he up to now? He is but a simple bear animatronic, wanting to know what it's like to nurse a child as his own.
You are a similar case as Gregory but the animatronic guesses that you are a different situation from the boy itself. You do not have any data on you, so does the boy, but you seem clueless yourself as to why that is.
But Gregory seems to not have much surprise that he has no records on him, not even a little. Gregory seems friendly enough, but Freddy has this nagging feeling that Gregory has something else within him. Something secretive, something... dark.
They walked the cool tiled floors. (Y/n) stared at Freddy's statue. Her face was a small, little reflection with bright irises. Freddy's glowing yellow optics were like warped fairy lights in the metallic sheen and Gregory's eyes were ridged and serious.
The girl noted that Gregory and Freddy seem to have similar eyes, yet one has such a higher frequency of light.
(Y/n) stifled a laugh at their ever changing reflections. Freddy's reflection has a small head and long shoulders, (y/n)'s reflective counterpart has puny legs and a long neck. Gregory's has an abnormally long waist.
She giggled quietly and Gregory gave her an inquisitive look. Sometimes, the girl seems to forget the situation she's in, she gets carried away easily.
She watched her shoes clack against the tiled floors, it echoed about and she suddenly thought about the Wizard of Oz; Dorothy following a golden brick path with her buddies to the Wizard to go back home.
Dorothy met a lot of strange people and made friends and enemies alike. Much like (y/n)'s situation, though, she hasn't a clue where her buddies are going, or what her enemies are. Are they following her direction or are they going theirs?
Freddy led the children into his room, or maybe something to call his own. It was door (y/n) failed to open, before she got left behind. There was a red sigil of Freddy was plastered on it. their were curtains you could barely peek through to glance into a room of vibrant red and blue.
Gregory explained how he apparently found a special guest pass and ventured out into the Atrium afterwards in search of something. The pass let's him in these rooms as well as many other.
Though, the boy never mentioned how he and Freddy knew each other, the girl thought it was something impossible. It must be cool to be friends with an animatronic, but how long have they known about one another? Were they the best of friends?
Freddy's room was a whole aesthetic itself. Red and blue covered the walls in grand decorations and vibrancy. Merchandise of plushies, posters, and even a whole arcade game was inside. The floor was plush and purple with stars and Freddy's smiling face.
(Y/n) was sure this room was a dream room for boys and girls alike, she couldn't help but feel like she's not supposed to be in here. Like how she is not allowed to wander the house at night. This is where Freddy goes for privacy, and this feels like a breach of that.
She wonders if she's allowed to wander the Pizzaplex at night, either. Probably not. But if so, why is Gregory here? What is he looking for? What purpose has he come to fulfill here? The young girl doesn't have any answers, she did just meet Gregory, though.
He was an enigma. So was Freddy, how come he is friendly unlike Chica? Amd why do he and Gregory know each other? The animatronic bear seems fine despite having an outright malfunction, (y/n) was happy for him for getting better, but still, why did he get sick?
"Hey Freddy?" Asked the girl as she stroked the ear of one of the plush merchandise.
"Yes?"
"Are you ok? Are you still sick?"
"Sick?" The animatronic had his vibrant, yellow eyes on her. He cocked his head to the side with a click, ears twitching. He seemed to be thinking about what she meant. The girl waited patiently for an answer.
"Oh, what happened during the performance!" His eyes flickered momentarily. "Yes I am feeling much better, thank you. That was a temporary malfunction in my system. I'm... not sure what circumstances led to that predicament, though."
The girl couldn't understand the fancy words Freddy used, but he seemed confused about something. Her fingers dipped into the soft fur of his plushy counterpart's back, enjoying its pristine softness. This room was very well taken care of.
Gregory entered a large, steel door to the side of the room that slid open. He glanced back at them expectantly; waiting for them to resume the nightly adventure.
Now, what this adventure was about; (y/n) was clueless. She meant to ask but it left her mind so rapidly earlier. But she was sure she will learn what it is in the near future.
Her eyes trailed to Freddy, who constantly seemed to wear a smile on his face. He had sharp teeth and long nails, but his eyes were friendly and his voice was soothing.
"I'm happy you're feeling better Freddy!" The child walked towards the bear lifted and wrapped her arms barely around his hip. She was far too small to properly hug him, so she was basically against his lower thigh.
Hugs make people feel better, don't they? Freddy slightly recoiled in surprise, blinking multiple times. His mechanic body was warm. The girl thought he didn't like it, and was going to let go, but hesitant and gentle, metallic fingers brushed against her backside.
The animatronics chest whirred and clicked softly on the inside, it vibrated through the girls ears. It sounded remotely and strangely like a broken heartbeat.
The animatronic been hugged many times before, yes, but this one felt special somehow. Like a gift given to him. (Y/n) dug her cheek into his soft, synthetic, orange fur. He smelled like gummy bears and cream, it was calming. Freddy sensory triggers 'felt' her small and warm body pressed up against him.
This was a moment where he was alone and not being watched closely, not with kids screaming and crying. There is but a little girl who was happy for him. Who seemed to care for him. Being cared for like he could feel like a human does is strange in itself, was this normal?
Doesn't she know that he's not like her?
The girl let go of him and took a step back, she had these eyes that were clear and reflective. She had small hands that twiddled often with one another. She was missing a tooth in her mouth, and when she smiled you could see a noticeable gap.
Gregory strides close and grabbed her hand, he looked up into Freddy's optics. The bear stared in his, and saw a glint of affection in them but as well... he wasn't sure.
But the animatronic understood why such a small adoration festered in the boy, for this girl was small and defenseless in a big world such as the Pizzaplex.
The girls hand fit between the slender fingers of the boy. She stared up at the animatronic with a look full of child like innocence. Though Gregory wasn't much older then the girl, his gaze seemed intelligent and cunning. Freddy didn't see clearly through those sharp eyes, but he saw that singular, precious emotion of love.
Those eyes were a unique gold color. But they were looking at Freddy as if they could travel through his metallic shell, through the endoskeleton, and then into Freddy's consciousness, like they saw someone else. Freddy would've shuddered if he was human.
Freddy knows, deep inside, what Gregory sees. Perhaps it's only a matter of time until he puts such thoughts into consideration.
"Let's get going now, we need to find that security badge to go forward, right?"
"Indeed, you are correct," it came out small, despite the large animatronic.

I'm glad I got this out, not much progress into the story but it's something 😂
I think I got the layout of the Pizzaplex wrong but please bear with me 😂
I'll try to follow the layout more.
