47 : We All Are
The hand holding her wrist was pale and slim, pink manicured nails shining in the dim neon lights of the Pizzaplex. The Security woman had a cold, albeit somber look in her eyes. The more they stepped away from the chaos, the more tired Vanessa seemed. There were sounds behind them, sounds of slamming and scratching, it became a distant drawl the further they walked away. There was no doubt, the robots continued fighting as soon as they left. The girl was struck with worry, what if they get seriously hurt, especially Gregory who was much smaller than them. Cold, golden eyes and the glint of an ax appeared in her mind, maybe he would be just fine, she suddenly thought.
Though she was scared of them, she didn't wish them any harm. She thought of Freddy's damaged body and Sun's missing eye, guilt filled her to the brim. There was no stopping them, there was no negotiating with them. They would do anything to get what they wanted, revenge, love, power, or chaos, it didn't matter what. Tonight was the night to obtain it, because the Breach released them from their programmed shackles, and set them free. Who knows if he did it on purpose or not. But it didn't matter, the future didn't matter, because tonight... was their night. Not the humans', not the Virus', it was theirs. And they would take advantage of that fact till the sun would rise. Consequently, everything will be destroyed because of them. Everything this company tried to hide will be stripped bare.
Vanny understood that. The Virus understood that. This untold legacy of monsters and spirits and blood that followed the enterprise like a wraith, it will all come flooding in. (Y/n) was an additional factor of it all, and the Security Breach, the cause of all of this madness, the lone queen bee of the hive, wanted her. The Breach's complex emotions soon mixed in with the others he connected to, his thoughts and feelings soon influenced their actions. It doesn't help that the Breach had managed to worm his way into all of them, and he was still consuming data nonstop to further enhance the vice he had on them, tying them all together like flies on a web. That's what the Breach was, one giant web, and (y/n) was in the middle of it. os4g6, code name: 'Gregory,' was the ever hungry spider of said web.
The woman let out a hoarse sigh as she grabbed for the ringlet of keys jingling like small bells by her side. She reached out and unlocked a bulky door that they stopped in front of, the girl recognized the door as that one camera room Vanessa trapped her in from before. She just barely escaped by the vent when that strange, yet creepy, white rabbit arrived. The door clicked open, the scene was almost nostalgic, like they were opening the front door to a house. (Y/n) realized that Vanessa made her somewhat think of her own mother, which made sadness blossom in her chest like a rose, she felt its thorns dig into her heart.
Vanessa sat the child down onto the stiff office chair and looked into her eyes. Vanessa's green eyes were a very pretty shade, it reminded the girl of the color of grass on the side of a concrete sidewalk on a sunny day, still and unmoving. The woman had light blonde hair that was pulled up in a tight ponytail, some stray golden locks swept down the sides of her face. It seemed the woman forgot to tuck it in, but she was otherwise as professional as a strict businesswoman. Though her green eyes were her most striking feature, there was a certain dullness to them that the girl couldn't quite explain.
They gazed at each other for a moment, the woman shut her eyes and rubbed her temples in frustration before abruptly standing straight and pulling something out of a cabinet. It was a giant sheet of paper. The girl realized quickly that the complex lines and labeling was actually a map, a huge map of the Pizzaplex and nearly all of its floors. It was old, the paper showing signs of yellowing and some water damage. It seemed to be a very early floor plan of the place. The girl's eyes widened at the many rooms, numbers, letters, and symbols inked into it, it was like the place was one giant body of a complex organism.
"I'm going to get you out of here," Vanessa said with sharp, green eyes that analyzed the multiple exits in the building. Many of which she knew were blocked off a long time ago. The girl stared at her with an incredulous expression, her eyebrows furrowed and pupils wide with disbelief.
...
What?
The girl blinked multiple times. She expected Vanessa to leave again and lock her alone in the dark till the sun rose. Honestly she would almost prefer to hide away until all of this was over, but the strange white rabbit with red eyes suddenly appeared in her head, and she felt a shudder up her spine. She'd almost believed such a creature was a ghost of some kind, wandering the halls of the Pizzaplex with a wide smile and glowing eyes.
The girl was close enough to the truth, Vanny was almost a spirit. But in reality, she was more of a puppet, a vessel of destruction. Held up by her strings, she was dragged to and fro, shining blade in hand. The nocturnal hunter of the Pizzaplex, unstoppable and vicious as a wraith. Even if you cut some of her strings, she will still stand. At day, in place of Vanny, there's Vanessa. The bystander that was too cowardly to act out of line, constantly watching from a broken lense, all of the sins she commits in the shine of the bloody moon. But there was something messing with her strings, shuddering them in place, making her mind shake and tremble, and as she stared into the crimson eyes of the mask, she hesitated in place. She never hesitated before, so why now?
When she stared into the eyes of the little girl, that once shined so bright but now was dull like her own, Vanessa hesitated once more. Vanny was speaking in her mind, but it was fuzzy and dull, like a broken radio signal. If the strings didn't move anymore, what could the puppet do now? The woman stared down at the front exit inked down into the map of the front lobby, her verdant eyes glared into it like it was all that she desired. The puppet accepted the fact a long time ago that it could never be free, but perhaps... It could set another free. Her eyes glanced at the girl who was staring at the main exit with perplexed but equally longing eyes.
Perhaps she could set another puppet free...
_______________
He felt a thrill rise in his chest, making the twisted grin on his face widen. His ax glinted with oil as he swiped at Monty once more, pushing the gator back. He eventually rotated from Moon to the gator in seconds. The bassist animatronic hissed at him like a viper, but when his bulky body would lunge at the boy, Gregory would sweep out of the way with incredible agility. Despite this, the boy had many scrapes and scratches on his body from where he was slashed. They bled a bright red and dripped onto the floor like red paint, but the small robot continued to laugh like his wounds didn't bother him or even exist.
"Back off, gator!" Gregory suddenly growled from deep within his chest, his voice was deep and inhumane, his gold eyes glowing furiously, but that twitching smile still remained on his face despite all the boiling anger he felt. The fight felt like it was going on for hours, but it had only been a few minutes. Monty snapped his teeth together and grinned at the boy. Freddy and Moon scuffled with each other on the other side of the corridor, scratching and punching each other like wild animals, but at some point, the jester animatronic slipped away after he realized how much of a disadvantage he had with the lead star animatronic, especially because of how he was half blind. His glowing crimson eye glaring spitefully at them from the ceiling in the thick shadows, thoughts of getting revenge filled his servos and circuitry like blazes of fire. He'll win, he'll win this cruel game. The sound of ticking and clicking from the lunar animatronic soon faded out as he hurried away.
Now it was just Gregory, who was grinning maniacally with a fire ax, Freddy, who was shaking in place with glowing yellow eyes, and Monty, was fighting back with tooth and nail, cuts and gashes on his green shell from the ax. The gator and the boy circled each other, cold, golden eyes set on fiery vermillion. They were ready to just about fight a bloody battle to the death. But Freddy quickly stepped in between them, his hand outstretched towards the gator as he was in front of the boy, Freddy glared at the gator.
"Leave," was all the bear said with sharp, stern, and glowing optics. His voice was hoarse and dark, the jaded edge to it rang loudly in the corridor. Gregory glared up at the bear with a twitching eye from behind. Monty stared at the bear with wide and shocked eyes, his vermillion eyes gleaming with disbelief behind his neon glasses. "I'm giving you a chance to leave this unscathed Monty, make a wise choice."
His eyes flicked between Freddy and Gregory, both had glowing yellow eyes that ate away at his cocky stubbornness, and he realized quickly that it was a battle he underestimated far too early. The gator scoffed before turning around and sculking off with a sneer, and he turned and said one last time about how they are all sacrificing themselves for something so small. Freddy stared at the gator's retreating figure with hard, yet tired optics. Gregory's gaze was only on the bear, and for the first time, the Breach saw Freddy for who he was. The bear slowly turned his head to the boy.
"There's always going to be something you want... I won't be able to change your mind, huh?" Freddy said quietly and somberly. The bear was frowning as he stood stiffly alone in the darkness with his controller, his manipulator, his 'savior.' Gregory's sharp eyes stared at his blood streaked on the floor with disinterest, he felt strangely docile in the moment, he felt empty. The thrill left and now all that remained was a hollow shell. But he was used to it. The boy said nothing. Freddy fully turned towards him, his voice deep, scratchy and bizarre because of his stolen voice. "I pity the fact that you will never find what you seek..."
The boy suddenly bitterly laughed, it rang in the empty hall like a dull toll of broken bells. His giggles soon quieted as he smiled an exhausted grin. "I don't want anything from a world that neither loves us or hates us... I only want to protect her from all the things I've seen. Besides, why do you care? Why would my feelings be any of your business?"
Freddy stared at the boy who he'd never seen truly smile or laugh before. Gregory looked like nothing like the millions of children he'd seen before. Sure, he knew the fact that it was really a child-like robot created for some grand mission, but seeing a creature identical to a child act like this was almost disheartening. Gregory was all sharp and jaded, bitter and angry at the world. Though Freddy could see physical wounds and old scars on the boy, he knew that the boy had many open, and deep wounds on the inside. Freddy felt that very well- hidden pain very faintly when they were connected. He recognized it because it was a pain very similar to his own.
Freddy's frown deepened and his eyes were dark with empathy. "I feel as if you are broken, Gregory..."
The boy silently clicked the ax onto his belt with precision, at first, he didn't say anything, there was only a resentful smile on his lithe face. He started to saunter away, probably off to gather and corrupt more data, but when he turned around and stared into Freddy's eyes, it was the first time Freddy truly saw the Breach for what it was. Gregory scoffed slightly, his golden eyes unfeeling, but that hatefully bitter smile remained.
"We all are."
So basically to sum it up, the reason why everyone is going yandere really fast, because they are connected to Breach aka Gregory who's very complex and obsessive emotions mixed with theirs. So the more control Gregory gets, the more the others become obsessed with (y/n) at a very fast pace.
It also doesn't help that the fact that Gregory's emotions are more heightened and extreme than a normal humans, that is part of the reason why he was abandoned.
Here is a pic of Gregory I just drew on a whim, he's very fun to draw! He just wants cuddles, hugs, and to spread bloodshed! What a cutie 🥰🥰
