40 : Goosebumps
The spindly, metal claw-like fingers dug into her cheek, his palm rested over her mouth and nose as her screams were muffled. She was in the air, feet above the ground. It felt like she was flying, yet glued to the ceiling and trapped, but the pulsating, fluttering feeling that made her stomach float into her throat remained. She felt cold goosebumps spike her skin as she cried out in terror, squirming in arms. She was like a worm picked off of the ground by the bird.
His grip was tight, his other arm was wrapped around her torso, caging her against his cool body. But she didn't feel secure at all, not when her eyes were glued to the shiny, checkered floor of Bonnie Bowl. If she was dropped, she would be squashed like a bug. Her sounds of panic increased as she became stiff in his grip.
"Shhh..."
His venomous voice hissed in her ear and her muffled screams of terror became silent. Tears that bubbled up in between her eyelashes carefully slid down her cheeks and onto his fingers. He seemed pleased with her silence as his tight grip on her face softened a fraction. Her heart beat against her chest and she simply closed her watery eyes, refusing to look down.
He shifted his body until she was cradled onto his chest. The magnetic wire on his back sustained his weight as he curled around her, his presence overbearing and shadowy, like clouds sweeping over the moon. She could only choke over her breath. If he lets go, it was over for her.
"I feel Sun's thoughts melting into mine... staining my own decisions with his," his voice somberly whispered behind her through the darkness. But there was no breath that touched her neck, not even body heat that fizzled into her, reminding her that what was holding her was not a human being. "It's annoying. But his anger for you is amusing."
Sun? Anger for her? How? The last time she ever saw the celestial animatronic was when she and Gregory escaped the daycare, right after kicking and breaking one of his glassy eyes. His cries of anguish and fury would still ring through her ears. She felt guilt any time she thought back to it, so she just avoided thinking of him. But now that she was in his midnight counterpart's grasp, she could only think of what could only be his need for revenge.
"I tried to put the blame on you, I always thought you were a psychopathic anomaly like that other brat," he chuckled bitterly. "But then I realized you were just a normal, human girl. There are no files on you, an intruder to the system."
He hoisted her closer as he seemed to be deep in thought. "But you are a victim of a cruel master minds' game. It's not a mistake, you were supposed to be the next victim. But then that damned robot arrived with a vengeance, and he is a cunning foe. A word of advice: Do not trust him. I don't know what he's planning, all I know is that he's going to tear this place apart."
Golden eyes. They glowed in fury in her deepest of nightmares. All the signs were there. All the strange looks he gave her, the way he held her tightly, the way his smile would twitch wide, showing a flick of perfect white, predatory teeth. Was he really the villain of this story? Like in those story books? But aren't villains supposed to be scary and mean. Doubt crawled into her. Wouldn't you be able to tell the villain from the hero? She remembered all of those times he protected her, his soft smile, his honey eyes that gleamed comfortably like the summer sun. Villains have never been like that. Was Moon lying to her? It didn't sound like it. Denial festered in her like a weed. She shook her head weakly at his claims.
"Hehe, even you yourself can't deny it." The animatronic chuckled darkly. "That boy is dangerous, you knew this ever since he held your hand in his. Do you really think he'll let you leave after all of this is over? As a witness? Oh no, no, no, if there's one thing I know about this machine, it's that it never leaves loose ends untied. He has a plan for you, and it's not a way out."
After his dark and foreboding words, he began to slide across the air with her in his arms, towards the Atrium. His hand never left her mouth, not even for a second. It was not like she could make a sound when she was terrified into shocked silence, drowning in a pool of growing denial, doubt, and fear. Where was he taking her? What will happen to her? How will this night end?
Gregory would be back soon, and she knew he would not be happy. The only thing he would find is an empty bowl of half-finished ice cream and a singular Moondrop candy. But that was quite the mistake, never leave a piece of yourself behind.
His fingers tightly gripped the dark blue wrapping. Moondrop candy, it said. Filled with sugar and a small dosage of a drug that melts the human mind. Deceit, that's what this sweet treat used, that's what was his winning card. He had used it since the very beginning. Human but not quite. Friendly but not quite. Loved but not quite.
(Oh, dear Grandmother, what big teeth you have.)
A tight lipped smile grew to his cheeks. A dark look swirled in his golden eyes, the pupils blown wide, they flicked up to the ceiling. The ends justify the means, the checkers are falling off the board and the final pieces are falling into place. What more could he ask for? This was his purpose. His only purpose. But in the end, when it's all over, what will he do? He'll be lonely and unloved as he always was. That's why she's the only light that shines in the darkness of his madness, the only one who did not make him feel empty and cold inside. No matter where she is, no matter where she'll run, no matter where she'll hide. He'll find her again, he'll drag her to him, he always does.
(The better to devour you with.)
___________
Gnawed pieces of trash was Freddy's trail. His teeth mashed on everything he could get his claws on. He limped through the hallways, tracking a certain signal from a certain girl's watch. It was moving rapidly from place to place, it was going straight towards the daycare. It was quite obvious just who had the girl.
Freddy's irregular bursts of anger burned through him again, he crunched down on the discarded pieces of flimsy metal he ripped off of the wall. His bright yellow eyes glowing furiously. Moon. That damned animatronic striked again, sharpening Freddy's wrath by the hammer. The bear wanted nothing more than to shield the girl away from the world, he wanted to hide her away in his body and run as far as he could from this dreaded place. He wished he could, he desperately wished he could run away from it all.
He stared into a storage room full of mutilated bots scattered in the dark. Ripped up inside out. Hollowed out like egg shells. He can feel the unseen terror in their blank eyes. His voracious appetite almost left him. He felt like he was rotting inside the more he consumed, he felt sick. He felt like throwing up all the corrupted bile inside.
He felt that the end was upon them, a feeling akin to rising goosebumps under his shell, and he knew that there would be blood spilled and shared. Innocence would die. Laughter would turn into terrified cries. The purity of childhood would rot. Now, a fire inside was burning. Something he was painfully familiar with. He gnawed nervously on his blue nails, the same hand he brushed through her hair, and she smiled at him. The cold feeling in him grew. Fear. It was amazing that a heartless being like him could possibly feel it.
Losing her, losing another child to the darkness, it would be like a second death. All of them are pulled by multiple strings from different puppets. Especially her. It truly felt like there was no way out. Like all of the emergency doors have been locked. All of them will burn in the flames of tonight.
There was no escape at all.
Monty chapter next 🤡
It might take a while because I really want the Monty one to be longer, and I'm trying to connect all the scenes together in a way that makes sense. It's hard 😭
Here's Ruin DLC Gregory if he was the mimic! I kinda imagine him to become obsessed with Cassie after losing (y/n) , so yeah he'd be even more of nutcase yayyy🤡🤡
And yes he's wearing Vanessa's security jacket that he somehow stole, it's oversized on him 😂
