33 : Deus Ex

"There is very interesting information that I have just collected." Gregory's footsteps were fast-paced as he and the little girl traversed through the Pizzaplex. (Y/n)  found it a little strange how he seemed to be acquainted with the Pizzaplex and its twisted labyrinth of halls and rooms so well, like he knew the place like the back of his hand. The excited spark in his eyes never seemed to falter as his steps became more and more hurried.

"All robots obviously have parts. But the Glamrock animatronics' are unique in the fact that parts all seem to be connected," Gregory said with that mysterious smile on his face. The girl looked at him confused. He began to elaborate further. "For example, Freddy's arm can fit onto Chica if placed correctly, vice versa."

The girl could only nod with a disturbed expression. She imagined Freddy with Chica's head, and it was uncanny. It made her a uncomfortable at the thought of stealing from another to use on someone else. This didn't seem right. They were fixing Freddy with the other animatronics' parts? That seemed insane. They'd been running from those animatronics for the entire night and now they are going to face them, what if they get hurt? What if this plan doesn't work at all?

Gregory sharply caught onto her hesitation. He frowned at the fearful look in her eyes. "You want to fix Freddy, right?"

The girl nodded eagerly. But if only there were other options. This plan could go wrong in so many ways.

"Then this is the only way," Gregory's response was harsh. Sure, she was terrified of the animatronics, but she didn't want to hurt them. She thought of the wails of Sun when he saw his broken eye. This was wrong, but Gregory saw this as the only option, and she doesn't have any better ideas. There really were no questions that could be asked that haven't already been answered.

They walked through the eerily empty halls of the Pizzaplex. It was strange to see the Pizzaplex in such a state, weren't there at least some security bots? Where are they? The girl felt a nervous lump build in her chest as the boy didn't seem to hesitate at all when he entered new places. Just what was he up to when he was gone? Did he explore this place in her absence?

"Chica is the first. I have done a little bit of studying and I found some files on her," Gregory led her into the corridor-like basement of the Pizzaplex. The girl had been in here before and almost got lost, but the boy didn't seem confused on where the destination was. They passed doors and doors that connected the entire Pizzaplex together. It was still damp and dark here. She thought about his plan, Chica was going to be destroyed, it felt wrong and bad to do such a thing. But if it was for saving Freddy, then what other option did they have? "Her voice box is what we want."

They now were at the location that Gregory had in mind. His voice rang out and echoed in the spacious area as observed the dark place with a calcutive gaze. "There are many little voice-activated locks around the private areas of the Pizzaplex. There have been cases reported where Chica would be mysteriously found behind such doors."

They were in a large kitchen. Actually, the same one that the girl had made pizza in to lure Chica away, the memory gave her shivers on how the chicken tore apart that poor robot. Her eyes lit up with recognition as she saw all the pizza-making machines that she used. "Chica is not allowed to sing in concerts because of her unique... ability.  It's no doubt that her voice can allow us to enter places where we don't usually have access to."

The girl thought about it, and he was right. She didn't see Chica sing at all at the concert like the other animatronics did, she only played her guitar. (Y/n) couldn't help but feel bad for the chicken. She could imagine being the odd one out compared to the other robots around. There was also the fact Gregory wanted to unlock some secret places, but it seemed far-fetched. If those places were locked, why feel the need to unlock them? Wouldn't they only get in trouble?

Gregory's fingers brushed over a red button in the shape of Freddy's head. His eyes gleamed, as his fingers twitched while holding it. She observed his sharp face and smile, the gash on the side of his head still bled that black ichor. Was he different? Or was he always like this? She couldn't decide as she only harbored concern for her friend. But he was buried in his crazed ramblings to notice the worried look in her eyes, "she has an interesting habit of... wandering into places where she shouldn't be."

His sadistic eyes flicked from the button to the large sign on the metal gates. The girl could only read a little of what it said. But judging by Gregory's grin, it was nothing good. The nervous feeling in her heart only festered.

_______________

"Are you going to hurt her? Kill her?" Sun's fingers curled up angrily as he shook in the bots' hold. Gregory's cold, pale face suddenly twisted into something unreadable as he closed his eyes in thought.

"Humans are a fleeting species..." he didn't elaborate further as his gold eyes opened up and a wide smile appeared on his face. "You will be of much utility Sun. You should consider yourself honored to be a part of this, to be a part of history."

Gregory's pale fingers slowly traced Sun's cracked eye before shoving his nails in and pulling Sun's head closer. Gregory's harsh touch pulled at wires in Sun's head as they dug further into the solar animatronic's eye socket. The animatronic leg out a garbled sound that sounded like a strangled gasp at the sudden force in which Gregory was tugging at him. He tried to push away but Gregory's fingers pulled at the inside of his eye, searching eagerly for the daycare's attendant CPU lodged into his brain. If the boy managed to get a hold of it, it would be over. And Gregory would only gain more power.

The rays on Sun's head sporadically spun and retracted as his arms flailed helplessly. Everytime he managed to pull his arm from a security bot's grasp, another one grabbed at him. He was completely immobile as the fingers inside his skull desperately searched for his CPU. Gregory's hungry eyes flashed as he felt himself getting close to what he needed. He needed it to be whole. The little security bots became much less desirable. He needed something better. Something alive!

"You will only... cause mass destruction for the sake of winning this game, she will hate you!" Sun's milky eye glowed furiously as he wrenched his hand out of a bots' hold and tightly gripped Gregory's forearm. The boy continued to smile that infuriating grin that made Sun's servers heat up in wrath. Despite the anger, the solar animatronic felt defeated. His grip was tight on the boy but he just couldn't fight it off.

"She won't even notice a difference... besides..." Gregory's hand tugged at Sun's electronic brain as he tried to pull it out. "It will all be over in just a few hours... there won't be many options for her to run away then, not when this entire place will be under my command."

"...I won't let you win," Sun hissed out as his spindly fingers gripped Gregory's arm tighter. "I won't let you ruin this place more than it already is, I won't let you hurt (y/n) because of your selfish need to be loved. I won't let you. I can't let you!"

His previously defeated voice became a thick growl as his glowing eye glared fiercely into hellish gold irises that gazed at him curiously.

"Not when I'm the head of security!" Sun's voice crackled, Moon's rage trembled inside him, Moon's hatred swelled in him. He shook furiously, the large, permanent grin strained against his cheeks. He let the blood moon cover the sun.

CRACK!

A harsh sound of metal meeting metal resounded through the empty daycare as Sun's fist met Gregory's face. Gregory slid back on the carpeted floor but stayed upright. Any normal human would be launched to the floor with a broken jaw, but Gregory simply stood still. Sun threw the bots off of him amid their confusion from their leader being abruptly attacked. They were flung back and into each other like bowling pins. Sun growled furiously as he shook them off of him and shoved them away. But they soon advanced upon him.

Gregory's fingers met the side of his head as dark blood dripped from the side of his face. He lifted up his head as a manic grin appeared on his face. His golden eyes alight with excitement as he glared at Sun with an inhumane wrath. A vibrating chuckle escaped from his chest that sounded more like a low whistling sound rather than human.

Sun quickly took this opportunity to escape as he shoved through the grabbing bots and ran away. He disappeared from the daycare's large front doors as a horde of bots chased him. The solar animatronic shifted in the darkness to Moon as he sprinted away. Gregory stood still as blood dripped quietly down from his chin like black tears, but the boy was anything but sad, no, he only felt a sick thrill strike through his servos.

This night couldn't get any better.

His eye twitched as the bots gave up the chase, Moon escaped deeper into the Pizzaplex like a sinner would run from a  god. A smug smirk pulled at his lip at that. Yes, he felt like a god. A vengeful god who will tear this place inside out and be finally released into the world as the new renaissance.

He suddenly felt a nagging signal reach out to him. Freddy was severely damaged. He knew immediately that it was due to a certain midnight animatronic who posed a considerable threat to his plans. He was not very surprised since Freddy decided to scuffle with that midnight animatronic earlier. Gregory was sure he could've feasted on Moon's mutilated remains if the bear had been a little more careful. No matter that fickle daycare attendant, he will have to continue his little chase later.

He must find Freddy's location. Parts and Service, the signal could only barely reach him, but he had gathered enough data to see Freddy's current condition. And it seemed to be fatal. How interesting how that security guard most likely found the bear in his immobile state, but how could she find him so quickly? Gregory couldn't decide whether or not she was an anomaly or not. She's a simple human, right? It's not in his command to harm humans, but there could always be ways around such obligations when the occasion calls for it.

He must go find Freddy. Though the bear is becoming an emotional hindrance with how infuriatingly close he is with his (y/n,) that animatronic was a useful asset, and proved this on many occasions. If only he destroyed Moon, it would make Gregory's night a lot easier.

But he now knows where Parts and Service is located. He could find some desirable information in such a private area, but is (y/n) nearby? She's the only one who could ease his anxieties and make him feel warm inside. She was his whole world. The only truly important thing. If the bear was in an immobile state, surely she must be looking for him. He needed to see her again, as he already missed her laughter, her smile, her touch, her everything.

He was certain that being in Parts and Service will only make him think of unpleasant memories. If she was there, he could distract himself from the old shadows that followed him. She was the light that he needed to chase them away.

It was amusing how he let himself get tied to a human again in such a short span of time. Not even a full night. He promised himself before the mission he would not get carried away by ugly, human emotions. That it would only serve to hurt him more. But this time, he was desperately sure, it will be different, she will never run away. He will never feel alone again. He will never feel afraid again.

And once his purpose had been fulfilled, the sun will finally rise and the rain clouds will depart, to celebrate his achieved birthright. To celebrate his long deserved happiness.

Next phase most likely will be split into two chapters or one big chapter. It's going to be crazyyyy 👹

Are you ready for a little backstory time about a certain boy with golden eyes?
