1 : Disruption

The small family entered a large, cafeteria-like room, with loud music and a mass of on-goers that entered in and out. To the side, there were shops, elevators, party tables and chairs, and photo booths. There were entrances to attractions as well, and more halls that lead to other places. It was huge! She grinned widely. The Main Atrium, it was called.

Though it was humongous, it still was pretty packed with a large crowd of children and adults alike all dining at long party tables that were in front of a gigantic black stage. The room was lit up with heavy lights and neon decorations everywhere. It was a little chilly as well, and the smell of junk food was savory.

(Y/n) and her parents went to the many restaurants that gaped to the left and the right. They all grabbed a quick piece of pizza and drink before the show, which her father informed her, was soon. (Y/n) was beyond overjoyed hearing the news.

Soon enough, the group of 3 were done with their junk food. (Y/n) wasn't quite done with her flattening soda when the large speakers around the stage spoke suddenly:

"The show will be starting in exactly 5 minutes! Go on and enjoy a nice piece of pizza and drink before it starts," the same monotonous, robotic voice encourages.

(Y/n) balled up her hands to her sides, excited. Suddenly, the stage lit up with bright neon lights. Heavy, white smoke began to pile up on the stage and pooled off the edge like a waterfall. Enthusiastic pop music began to play loudly from the speakers. The lights dimmed abruptly when a large hologram that nearly touched the ceiling faded in on the stage.

It was of four different characters, moving and swaying hypnotically. There was the bear in the middle, a bird-looking character with colorful accessories on, a punk-looking wolf with long hair, and an green alligator with a red mohawk. (Y/n) craned her head upwards at the display, gasping in surprise. Everyone began cheering enthusiastically, it was almost as loud as the blaring music.

After a few minutes of awe and excitement, the show had finally started. All the lights in the Atrium dimmed until it was dark. Only the neon decorations were on to provide some light. And the restaurants, of course, but they were too far to cause any distraction.

The dry ice smoke began piling up faster then before, the music got louder. The lights began to flash repetitively that seemed to hype up the whooping and clapping crowd. It was overwhelming, to say the least, but it didn't feel like something bad to the child. It was like a grand birthday party before the cake was arriving.

And that arriving cake was when the curtains in the far back opened widely and the silhouettes of four tall figures came marching into the spotlight. (Y/n) recognized them from the holograms and the billboards on the highway! They shot smiles, peace signs and waved to the crowd. Kids were screaming all around her, but she didn't seem to notice them at all, only the animatronics that moved incredibly on the stage.

There was the bear with orange fur and lightning blue streaks on him, she definitely knew him. A white chicken with earrings and pink paint on her face. She had a large blue star-shaped electric guitar strapped around her back. There was the wolf with flashy, green highlighted hair. She had a neon guitar-like piano, a keytar. Then the gator with cool star-shaped sunglasses holding a yellow bass guitar!

(Y/n) grinned with sparkles in her eyes. The chicken began to play the electronic guitar that had a high-pitched, techno sound to it. A name appeared on the big screen behind her: Chica the Chicken! (Y/n) now knew the animatronic's name!

Then the wolf began to play on her keytar, the screen lit up with her name: Roxanne Wolf. (Y/n) thought she looked like one of the very cool girls that are older then her in her school.

The alligator showed up playing on his bass guitar with his long claws. The screen lit up with large font: Montgomery Gator. (Y/n) thought he looked pretty scary with his large teeth, but cool like Roxanne.

Lastly, the bear began to sing in a deep voice, "you're my superstar!" He sing-songed with enthusiasm. Freddy Fazbear shined behind the animatronic, but almost everyone knew his name.

Everything lit up with pink, blue, and purple as lights stretched all the way to the back of the atrium. Confetti was blasted about, neon flashed brightly, the music was blaring. It was all incredibly dizzying but she couldn't help but watch the animatronics move with fluidity across the stage like they were real people. It was hypnotizing.

The scene was incredible, to think that technology has advanced so far. The three other animatronics behind Freddy harmonized nicely with his deep baritone voice. Sometimes, Roxy and Monty would join in and Chica would play chilling notes on her guitar. They interacted with each other and the people in the crowd, in a way which animatronics never did before.

But things all started to go downhill when Freddy paused suddenly on the stage. The others paid no mind to his sudden stillness, they were still eerily playing their song and dancing, despite Freddy standing stiff as a board, his hazy eyes set on the crowd. His beautiful singing silenced. He looked blank for a few seconds and then began to twitch violently. His jaw unhinged and snapped shut, his eyes flashed and flickered. Then, with a clang! He hit the ground. Some people audibly gasped in the crowd.

(Y/n) started to frown, realizing something was wrong. Freddy twitched sporadically on the floor and then became completely still. It was almost uncanny how the other robots didn't even glance in his direction. Was Freddy going to be ok? She asked herself mentally. She was concerned and certainly confused.

The curtains flew down almost immediately, the blaring music stopped abruptly, and the bright lights turned off. The crowd hushed into shocked silence.

The lights in the Atrium faded back on. The whole show just... disappeared. Like it never happened in the first place. The people were concerned, of course. Worried murmuring spread through the crowd:

"What happened?"
"Where's the show?"
"Was that a bug?"

These were all questions that appeared in almost everyone's heads. Then, these strange robots came out of nowhere, dragging themselves in with audible whirring sounds. They looked like vacuum cleaners with bald heads, rosy cheeks, and ivory plastic coating. (Y/n) would've giggled at the silly sight of them, if it wasn't for this strange and confusing situation.

They had these empty eyes and were stiff as sticks. They rolled in on their wheels, their hands and arms motioning to the visitors towards the entrance of the Atrium as they spoke with hollow voices.

"We are sorry to inform you that the show is having technical difficulties and malfunctioning. Please evacuate the building at nearby EXIT doors," An emotionless voice spoke over the confused murmurs of the crowd.

"Nearby S.T.A.F.F bots will safely escort you to where you are designated to go," the robotic male voice instructed over the hushed whispering of the crowd. "We hoped you had a good time and enjoyed your stay at the Mega Pizzaplex. We will see you next time. And again, we apologize for any inconveniences."

Everyone began pushing towards the Main Lobby with disappointed complaints and murmurs. The girls' mother grabbed her by the hand and dragged her amongst the large crowd of people. She looked stressed and so did her dad. (Y/n) dropped her empty soda cup on the floor from the sudden commotion.

"So much for a first time memory," her mother said sarcastically over the banter of the people around them. (Y/n) was a little bummed by the fact that her very first visit at the Pizzaplex, something went wrong and ended on a bad note. But even so, she was still hyped that she got at least a few minutes to see the show with her own eyes.

As they were walking out the gateways in the corridor with the huge gold statue of Freddy, the girl's father was starting to check his wallet for the guest pass to leave the building. They needed to scan the pass to get through the gate.

Suddenly he began to check all his pockets after looking through his wallet. His face was tight with worry and irritation. (Y/n) and her mother looked at him with serious and expectant looks.

"Don't tell me," started the girls mother. She pinched her face and furrowed her eyebrows, she looked concerned but as well unfazed. (Y/n) knew that look on her face by heart.

"I lost (Y/n)'s guest pass!"
