As far back as he could remember, Namjoon has always been afraid of spiders.

Excessively afraid of them.

His parents first thought it was normal for a kid to have that kind of fears.

But then, Namjoon grew older and his parents became less and less understanding.

"Drop the act Namjoon, you're not a kid anymore, you're always overreacting! " They kept saying.

And Namjoon grew up, left the family cocoon to start an idol career.

He immediately told his manager about his fear after a little incident and he was brought to a doctor, who diagnosed him with severe arachnophobia.

Quickly, the other members found out and made sure there wasn't anything related to spider before they entered a room or they try to distract him when they had to go outside.

They always did their best to make sure Namjoon was comfortable, without ever complaining or mocking him.

And now, Namjoon was getting better.

He had some therapy sessions to help him live with his greatest fear and it seemed to work pretty well.

SEEMED...

He still checked the corners of the room he enters, he still shrieks when he feels like a spider web caresses his face, he still shivers brutally when he feels any insects' tiny legs tickle him and he still got a little frightened when he sees a spider or anything that ressembles to a spider. It was not as worse as before: he wasn't crying or screaming for help. But the fear was still there... And he aprehends the day it'll get triggered again.

- Namjoon! Get up, you're the only one who's still sleeping and the breakfast nearly ready! Jin yelled, entering their shared room in a dramatic way, making the door slam against the wall.

Namjoon woke up suddenly, startled by all the noise.

- C'mon Joonie, go take a shower and come eat with us, will you?

- Okay hyung, I'll be quick.

His eyes all blurry from sleepiness, Namjoon awkwardly waddles to the bathroom to get ready.

He entered it and carefully locked the door. Sometimes the door is hard to unlock so you have to be careful or you'll stay enclosed.

But Namjoon didn't really care, despite how many times Seokjin told him not to lock it since Taehyung once locked himself but couldn't go out. Namjoon himself had to break the door to free his friend but even after they changed the door, there's still a problem with the lock.

Now that he's inside the bathroom, he feels cold air hitting his sensitive skin. He shivers before closing the window, mumbling about how cold he is.

Lazily, he turned on the hot water while undressing and then entered the shower, placing himself under the burning water.

Steam quickly invaded the room, making the atmosphere thick.

He remains there, letting his tensed muscles relax under the hot water. He whispered in pleasure as he feels now completely awoken and full of energy, ready to start the day.

He pulled a random shampoo bottle, pouring it on the top of his head, massaging his scalp, sighing softly at the feeling.

From the scent, he could tell it was Jungkook's shampoo, he's the only one who has a coconut scented one.

He grabbed Seokjin's almond and honey scented body wash and quickly rubbed it all over his body before rinsing.

He then catches his towel and dries himself to finally start brushing his teeth.

He chuckles when he noticed the mirror is all foggy, covered in steam.

He wipes it with his hand and look at his reflection, his cute dimpled-smile showing off.

But it quickly fades away as his eyes catched a dark thing, creeping on the shower's glass wall.

He turns around facing a good seven cm sized spider.

He felt his heart sink before beating much faster as he takes a deep breath before screaming on top of his lungs.

His shaking body hurries to the door, his vision is already blurry from the tears.

He tries to unlock the door but that damn lock is stuck.

He starts banging on the door, wailing loudly as he took a look at the big spider that's arrogantly walking towards him.

At the sight, his breathing starts to get heavier and all the steam in the bathroom wasn't making it any better.

His legs gave way under his own weight and his eyes couldn't leave the approaching spider. What would happen if he loses sight of it?

- Namjoon? What's happening here, did you fall? Hoseok asked.

Namjoon whimpered, trying to steady his breathing but failing anyway. He was in too much of a panic to calm down, and the spider that's now going down the glass wall wasn't making it any better.

- Namjoon? Are you okay?! Hoseok asked again as he didn't get any response.

He put his ear on the wooden door and clearly heard Namjoon labored breathing through it.

Worry starts to rise in him.

- I'm entering! Whether you like it or not! He said hastily, trying to open the door.

- What the hell, Namjoon ! Why did you lock it! He yelled in anger and worry.

Something is maybe happening to him, he still didn't get any response.

Hoseok called for help and the others rushed upstairs in a matter of seconds.

- What's happening hyung? Jungkook asked.

- Namjoon is stuck in the bathroom and he remains silent, all I heard through the door was his rapid breathing...

Seokjin frowns before calling for Namjoon again.

- Namjoon, if you're trying to prank us or anything, stob it! It's not fun at all! He tried.

Loud sobs were heard and everyone remained silent.

- Hyung... Tae whispered.

- Let me try. Yoongi said, after remaining still until now.

He banged loudly at the door, calling for Namjoon, making the others flinch.

- You're going to scare him, stop it hyung! Jimin snapped.

But he didn't stop.

- Namjoon! Do you hear me?

Namjoon snapped out of his panicked state for a moment.

- Yoonie! Please get me out of here! T-there's a s-spider! Please help me hyung!

-O-okay Namjoon... I'm gonna help you, if you're near the door, then move away, we're gonna break it down!

- I-I can't... The spider is on t-the floor next to the shower... It's coming next to me- HYUNG! He screamed as the spider twitched and began to approach him.

- Okay Namjoon calm down pleas-

- It's getting faster, it'll come to me... Hyung! He sobbed.

- Namjoon, I don't want to take risk of hurting you, listen to me... Listen to hyung.

- O-okay...

Just as Yoongi was about to talk, Jungkook cut him short.

- Breathing exercises... You remember?
Breath in for 4 sec, hold it in for 7 and the out for 8. Okay? Try to breathe in with your nose and out with your mouth. Relax to the sound of my voice, we're all here to help you Joonie hyung... Jungkook said in a calm and soothing voice.

- How's your breathing now? Yoongi asked after a few minutes.

- B-better... He replied.

- Try to stand up if you're not already, tell me when you are.

- I'm up now...

- I-is the spider moving? Jimin asked carefully.

- No it's not.

- Then I'll ask you something, listen carefully and please do as you're told... Run... As far as you can from both the door and the spider. You know where it is, don't look at it and just run as I finish the countdown okay?

- N-no I can't do this... Find another way.

- Namjoon the is no other options, I can't hurt you... I don't want to hurt you... Please Namjoon...

- Okay... If I die I'll kill you! He added.

- 3...2...1 !

And Namjoon ran the fastest he could. He was out of breath from both effort and fear. Now at the other side of the bathroom, he could see the door sonorously break and falling to the floor, a sweaty Jungkook entering the room first.

But the his eyes focused on the floor, catching a glimpse of the spider that was rushing, going opposite from where it was going at first.

Going towards him.

His breathing fastened even more and his ears start ringing. He was going to faint soon, he knew it.

Tears kept slipping from his eyes as he's curled up, letting out small whimpers, the ringing in his ears getting louder. His vision covered in black spots but before he could actually pass out, he got violently shaken out of state by Taehyung.

- Hey hyung, stay awake. You're fine now, we're here... I'm here. He whispered in the frightened boy's ears, hugging him tight.

He could feel his hyung's rapid heartbeat against his own chest and hear how labored his breathing was.

And Taehyung wanted to cry because of his hyung's state.

- Everything is okay now Joonie, I killed it. Seokjin said calmly.

But Namjoon didn't dare and open his eyes.

- It's okay, Joon you can open your eyes... Let's get you out of here, shall we? Hoseok proposed.

Hoseok and Taehyung helped him walking to the living room and they delicately sat him on the couch.

The poor boy was still trembling and nobody dared talking.

After a few minutes of pure silence, Namjoon broke down, his body shaken from the sobs.

- Aweeee honey, you did great, there no need to cry, everything is just fine now. Jimin said, caressing the older's hair.

- I-I though it was over... I thought that kind of situations would never happen again... He whimpered, eyes pouring all the water his body contained.

- I'm sorry this had happened to you sweetheart, I know you feel frustrated but there is not much you can do apart from keep going to therapy. Seokjin said.

- Let's watch a movie, we'll be right next to you, okay? Yoongi murmured, already sitting next to him.

He knew in the state he was now, he wouldn't be able to eat anything.

- Mhm. He just replied.

Everyone sat on the large couch, with fluffy blankets, giving Namjoon as many soft touches, cuddles and kisses as he needed.

He was feeling safe now.

And it only took him a few minutes to fall asleep in the loving and protecting cocoon his hyung and dongsaengs made.
