This is the scene where, Zoya through her talks to Dilshad, hints to Asad about him being her enemy and not allowing her to go and see Dhoni (the cricketer) ; somehow this leads to a intense exam between Asad and Zoya to see who knows the most about Cricket. Najma and Dilshad are also present in the living room. We begin from Zoya and Dilshad sitting on the sofa talking about the latest news whilst a few metres away Asad is talking to Najma about her new short hairstyle.

Zoya: (shocked) Aapne suna phupi? Ek cricketer doosri cricketer ko attack kiya just because wo kaha ke wo unse better cricketerhai!

Dilshad: (tuts) Haan...

Zoya: (sees Asad) Yeh toh ek cricketer doosri cricketer ko play karne se chirte (annoy) hain. Kahi log to dusri log ko cricket dekne se chirte hain.

She purposefully looks at Asad who hears this and looks towards her wanting to say something but holds back because of his ammi. Dilshad looks a little confused seeing this interaction but nods along, bechari tamatar who knows what Zoya means looks towards her bhaijaan hoping he won't explode in anger.

Zoya: (tuts and throws a glance at Asad) Cricket ke dushman.

Asad walks forward and put the newspaper on the table and stands back to Najma with his arms folded speaking calmly.

Asad: Aapka yeh bachkana comments se mera decision change nahi hoga? By the way me cricket ke bohot bari fan hoon.

Najma excitedly jumps in the conversation and starts showering praises on her brother: Exactly! Aap jaante hain, bhaijaan cricket ke itna bara fan hai, ke woh cricket ke baare mein saara information pata hain. Inki memory itni sharp hain ki aap jo bhi sawal puchiye woh immediately aapko jawab dega!

Asad is standing next to Najma trying not to look smug whilst Dilshad nods in agreement with Najma's words. Zoya only looks amused.

Zoya: Oh really? Ho sakta hain ki usse cricket ke baare mein tori bohot information ho, but me cricket ki sabse bara fan hoon, woh jo bhi karle, mujhse compete nahin kar sakte. (Half-smirks)

Asad: (speaks slowly as if explaining to a child) Aapse kisne kehdi ki me aapse compete karna chahte hoon? (he looks at her then turns to go to his room) Me ladkhiyon se compete nahin karta.

Zoya: (tries to control her anger but stands up) Woh issiliye hain kyunki aap darte hain, ki koi ladkhi aapse zyada cricket ki information ho to?!

Asad thinks, bas bohot hogaya, ab iski bolti band karna padega!

Asad: Aapko cricket ke baare mein kitne maalumaat hai woh abhi pata chalega.

Zoya: (walks towards him) Oh really?! Lagi shart (bet)? 

Asad: Aapko kya lagta hain, ke aap shart jeetke match pe jaa payenge?

Zoya: (makes a hm sound sarcastically) Mujhe lagta hain ke aap pehle se apne haa sochke behte hain.

They stand facing each other whilst Najma joins Dilshad on the sofa about to watch a silent war occur between Zoya and Asad. The music that is always playing whenever they have a heated argument begins.

Asad: Shuru kije (he means to start the rapid fire🤣)

Zoya: Aap kije.

Asad: Sachin Tendulkar ka poora naam kya hain?

Zoya: Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Toronto mein, ek spectator ke saat ek cricketer ka jagra hua ta kyunki woh us cricketer koh ek sabzi (vegetable) ke naam se pukara ta, aap cricketer ka naam batayiye aur sabzi ka naam bhi.

Asad: Sabzi-aloo. Player- Indama Mulhak (sorry if I spelt that wrong he was speaking at 100x speed!) 

Dilshad: (gleefully) Correct!

Zoya:(somewhat impressed) Cool, well Najma me soch rahi ti ke agar Indama tumhare bhai hote aur aap kahi baahar jaate, toh log kya kehte? Aare dekho aloo tamatar aa gaye!

Asad: (smiles at her joke but quickly gets stern face back on) Bunter kis cricker ka nickname hain?

Zoya: (effortlessly answers) Ricky Ponty. Aap ye batayiye ki Anil Kumlin ka nickname kya hai?

Asad: Jambu. (Zoya raises her eyebrows in astonishment) Mordly Daran ne apne career me kitne wickets le li?

Zoya: (again, effortlessly) 800. 2011 Olympics World Cup mein, India ne Sri Lanka ko kitne wickets se haraya ta?

Asad: Panch (5)

Zoya: (doesn't change expression) Sure?

Asad: Ji.

Zoya: Wrong, six. 2011 World Cup mein, India ne Sri Lanka ko six wickets se haraya ta..YES!

Asad: (with usual look of annoyance) Aap itna kush kyu horahe hain?

Zoya: Kyunki me shart jeet gayi.

Asad: (looks down) Mera jawab bilkul sahi ta.

Zoya: (excitedly) Aapka jawab ghalat hai Mr Khan!

Dilshad: Ek kaam karlete hain, check karlete hain na?

She point towards Zoya's Ipad which was bedside her on the sofa, facing Najma who began searching for the answer to Zoya's question, probably on google. Zoya looks at Asad whilst imaging his face when he is proved wrong whereas Asad looks at Zoya with a small mean smile, absolutely convinced he is correct. Najma finds the correct answer, looks at her Ammi and gives a thumbs up and a wink to Zoya.

Najma: You're right Zoya!

Zoya: So me shart jeet gayi! (Asad is as usual, glaring at her) Toh issi baat pe ek sher arz hai!

Aag daare pani se aur daulat daare kadki se,

Aag daare pani se aur daulat daare kadki se

Mr Asad Ahmed Khan haar gaye, suno aaj ek ladki se!

Zoya: (grinning) Thank you, thank you...!

Najma and Dilshad use all their power in their might to not burst out laughing. Asad suprising stops glaring at her and looks at his ammi, whilst a mischievious idea springs in Zoya's mind.

Zoya: Well, ab jab aap shart haar hi gaye hain toh aapko woh karna parega joh me kahoongi!

Asad: (in no mood to argue) Kahiye

Zoya walks to the sofa where she had kept his phone that she had broke and fixed twice and held it out to him.

Zoya: Ab aapko yeh phone rakna padega. Permanently.

Asad who truly wished he could murder her right now simply stares at her hoping she could somehow dissinterate and this all could've been a bad dream. Zoya understands how he must be feeling and decides to rub salt in his fresh wound.

Zoya: Take it Mr Khan, aap shart haar gaye.

Najma has a smile playing on her lips whilst beside her Dilshad is genuinely wondering how Asad will react to someone behaving with him like this. Without a word, he takes the phone from her and walks to his room. Zoya stands there, smugly smiling at him walking away as Dilshad raises her eyebrows in shock. Her features soon arrange themselves into a look of amusement and astonishment. 

Zoya takes her Ipad and says: Thanks you lekin mujhe tora sa kaam hai, baad me milti hoon.

She leaves, leaving Dilshad to say: Pehli baar kisi ne Asad ko apni marzi ke bina ek kaam karwaya hai. Zoya, tumne to namumkin (impossible) ko mumkin (possible) kar diya!

Najma: (in an honest tone) Ammi, aapko nahi lagta ke bhaijaan ke life me aisi tara ladki aani chahiyiye? Jo bhaijaan ke saamne kadhi ho sake?

This got Dilshad thinking about Najma's words and this is the point (I think) from when Dilshad becomes the best character in the show as she makes AsYa's jodi work!
