In the forest
The Crescent moon shown above the tree tops of the forest filled with Pokemon. The stars splintered the night sky. Many Pokemon were in their borrows and dens asleep, but not including one Pokemon named Zorua. She was sitting on a grassy edge, looking down on a big city with small white and yellow lights, like the ones in the night sky above. This particular Pokemon always wanted to explore the human life just to see what it was like.
'I want to go so bad, but will they hurt me?'
'Does it matter if it's safe or not?'
'Is it safe?'
'Why do I care so much?'
All of these questions swarmed around Zorua's head as she still sat on her Haunches. Suddenly, a wild Buneary hopped to her from behind. Zorua's dark grey ear flicked to the sound of pressure in the grass.
"Hello! Whatcha doin out here? It's freezing!"
The Normal-Type Pokemon stated and gave herself shivers. Zorua didn't reply anything back.
Silence.
Buneary hopped next to her and sat down herself. The Master of Illusion glanced at Buneary.
"Have you seen them?"
Zorua asked in a quiet tone.
"What?"
Was the answer.
"The humans."
"Humans? As in, people?"
Buneary tilted her head to the side.
"What else would I be talking about Bun Bun!"
"..."
Zorua blinked, Buneary blinked.
"Uh, yes... I have seen some wander around the forest with others. They had other Pokemon with them that I have never seen in my life! It's actually really cool."
Bun Bun looked down at the city along with Zorua.
"There must be thousands down there..."
Zorua mumbled.
"What's wrong girl?"
Bun Bun rested her short arm on Zorua's furry tuft back.
"Your usually not like this. What happened to the real Zorua I knew for -eva?"
It was true. Zorua's personality was NEVER solemn and gloomy. Yes, she was sneaky and sly like normal, but she was also resilient and talkative. She was the social butterfly of the group, and especially because of her shapeshifting power.
"I just-"
She began.
"I just want to see them. I always wanted to see one; just a glance!"
Zorua and Buneary's eyes met. They were such good friends.
"Bun, how do YOU see them all the time, but not me? How is that possible?"
Bun Bun got up and crossed her arms, shutting her eyes.
"I have my sneaky ways."
Zorua and Buneary giggled and fixed their gaze down at the city.
"Bun Bun, I'm gonna do it..."
She stood up to her red painted paws.
"What? What are you saying?!"
"I'm gonna go down to the city."
Bun's smile had already faded away. She just stood up next to Zorua.
"All I can say is,... don't get hurt, Zorua..."
Buneary still couldn't believe what she had said. She just gazed into Zorua's teal eyes.
They just stood there for a second looking at each other. Finally, breaking the silence,
"I leave at dawn."
Zorua turned around to leave as Bun Bun's arm slid down her side and fell down. Zorua padded through the grass field into the darkness of the night-bleached forest.
'Good luck...'
