I woke up to pure darkness .

I stroke a match and lit the fire pit hoping it would grow fast to keep us warmer.

I got out a pot and cook some oatmeal for us all.

Yeah it is gross but we have to eat it

I slowly stirred the mixture together until it was ready.

I then took a bowl for myself before leaving it over the fire so I could eat.

I sat down bringing the steaming food to my lips .

I sat there in the corner of the room when I heard a clank on the opposite wall.

I ditched my food placing it to the side and walked over to it.

The number dial was going crazy. I knocked against it with my finger and it was slowly turning back until I realized something.

It only said 3 days not 4.

I shook Jack awake pulling him up to see if he could fix it.

He continued mulling about how this could wait until he saw what had happened.

His eyes went wide and he didn't respond once he fought a glance at it.

"Jack what's gonna happen" I asked looking into his eyes.

There was nothing but pure. Silence.

Then Jose came up behind us "hey guys what's going on?" She asked .

When she realized she wasn't gonna get an answer she followed our gazes to the lock.

Her emotion was no longer readable after that.

My family will be gone and now as the days are slipping by like no other I just happen to make the time shorter .

Lily slowly blinked awake and wandered over to us.

"Remember when we where twelve and I forced us to go down here " I asked them all.

"Yeah " they all Muttered in response.

"Remember how the only reason you trusted me to come here was cause our friendship was so strong " I asked

"Yeah we do Cat" Lily said turning toward me . She got the bed last night along with billy.

"I don't know if this gonna be the same as that the plan is beyond weak and I have nothing to protect us with" I said.

"This time the burden is on all of our shoulders not just mine" I continued .

"But we heave a plan " Jose pointed out.

"Yeah but it's a weak one , what happens if they are waiting for us outside ?" I asked

"We will figure it out then " she responded .

I sighed knowing I wasn't going to get through to them .

I walked over to my little brother . His name was billy.

He was tossing and turning around in the bed when I shook him awake.

When he finally departed from his dream an expression of relief crossed him .

I signed at the sight of how peaceful it was inside but outside its crazy.

I simply sighed at the thought .

I wake di to the pantry going over txt eg sink and splashing some water onto my face .

These thoughts where to much for me to handle .

I looked into the mirror looking at my reflection.

I had a worn and tiered look about me .

Probably from the lack of sleep for the last 3 months.

I slept about 10 hours a week.

Those where the best nights when the bad things that are gonna happen are forgotten about.

Those nights are the best ones.

The ones where I have a spark of hope we may make it .

They come maybe once a week if I'm lucky .

I walked back into the main area to find them all asleep.

This was the best time.

When they are awake you can see the fear in their eyes almost as much as you can see it in mine.

I sat down against the far wall and looked around.

If sleeping is out of the question might as well make myself useful.

I picked up a rock and a sword and began to rub the two things together .

When the others began to wake I decided that it was best to sit down and plan everything out.

Walking out into the open was unthinkable.

We all decided that if plan A doesn't work that we should all leave together and circle around the younger kids .

That was our best shot other than plan A .

I sat there against the wall slowly rubbing my finger against the back of the phone.

Was this small thing really going to help us make our way out.

When the thoughts began to wander I accidentally dropped the small device.

The back had come of being sent across the floor .

I bent down to pick it up when something fought my eye.

A single key.

I picked it up and looked at it .

There where two initials carved into it.

F and K

I was so confused .

I placed it into my back pocket .

I slowly placed the phone back on when the screen lit up.

I immediately tried turning it off but instead a message fought my eye.

We have 3 days until the door opens meet us near the middle.

I looked at it eyes wide not re denizens the number.

Was there other people down in dens like us?
