Ivy got backed into the walls with force before the scoundrel max, licked Ivy on the cheeks with his bloody disgusting tongue. That was indeed disgusting. Ivy managed to shove Max away creating some distance between them. Just then James, Diaz, Lucy, and Jack arrived at the scene. They shot wildly at max but missing him barely. "Don't kill him, I need him alive". Ivy said raising her voice, now standing in front of the team as to make them surrender. "Stand down and subdue the creature". James finally gave in after Ivy's persistence. The team managed to overcome the scoundrel.

The scoundrel was now chained to the walls by the team in the facility with Diaz putting the keys in his pocket for safe keeping. The same facility Ivy and Erica work. Just then the commander arrived at the scene. "Are you guys insane? Why didn't you kill this thing". The commander said,  unhappy and directing his speech to James. "No! I need it alive for my research. It got the chance to bite me but it didn't and we all know scoundrels bite". Ivy said interrupting the commander. "It means he's still human, he got the bite but something in his body prevented him from turning, he could be the breakthrough we need to defeat this virus". Ivy further explained. "You can't cure being a scoundrel". The commander retorted. "Yes I can just give me the chance". Ivy said back. "This sounds like bullshit, shoot it". The commander ordered. "No please". Ivy begged. And this just ticked the commander off.

"You always think of yourself, Ivy. You think you're the hero? You think you are trying to save us? You are rather putting us all in danger. That thing is a security risk, if it breaks free, we could all be infected or worse. You don't even care about ending this apocalypse". The commander angrily yelled at Ivy.

"I don't care? I don't have any family because of those things. I lost my mom, my dad, my friends, my everything! I lost Suzie, Abigail, peter. Everything! And you tell me that I don't care about  ending this pandemic?". Ivy screamed while sobbing. "But that's not true Ivy, we are your family to". James said softly to calm her down. "If you were family you would have my back". Ivy replied.

"Please". James said to the commander trying to convince him. "Okay fine, you can run your test but I want it locked at all times. If there are any issues, kill it. Do I make my self clear? ". The commander said finally giving in. "Yes sir". James and Ivy chorused.
