Ivy and Erica were already running some tests on the blood samples. That is, Max's blood sample and the blood sample of the living breeding scoundrel.

"Okay so I've run some tests on the samples and guess what?". Ivy said to Erica. Erica just sat quietly. Ivy continued, "the antibodies in Max's blood are a hundred times normal level". Ivy explained. "I think we're onto something here but it also means we cannot make cures only vaccines so that those biten by scoundrels won't turn". Erica said . "Exactly". Ivy acknowledged. They both smiled at the possibility of ending the pandemic.

Elsewhere, Diaz couldn't control himself. He felt crazy, warm and an unexplainable thirst for blood. "What's happening to me?" He screamed. He then heard a voice from behind him. "Hey!" The commander said. "Stay away from me!". Diaz yelled as he couldn't control himself. "What?!". The commander said with a bit of shock in his voice. "Please, get away from me!". Diaz yelled once more as he completely turned into one those creatures.

Just then, he quickly turned and dug his teeth into the commander's neck just devoured him completely. James finally arrived on the scene. "Noo!". He screamed while pulling out his gun and shooting the hell out of the the scoundrel but the damage was done, both the commander and Diaz were dead!.
