I'm not entirely sure where I'm going with this so... sorry it isn't my best! I don't feel great right now with this cold I'm having anyway, soo...

Since I had nothing to do, Bailey and Harper decided to have a sleepover with me at their house as Kelsey or their parents wouldn't be there to bother us as they were away for some function at Kelsey's school.
"So, what do you want to do?" Bailey asks me as I am greeted at the door. I shrug.

"Hey, there's a basketball tournament on the TV, want to watch it?" Harper suggests. Bailey and I looked at each other and shrugged. We didn't have anything else better to do.

~Later that night~

I look down at my phone ringing and see that it's dad. That's odd... I told him and mom that I would be staying the night here. I thought and picked up the phone, only for dad to direct the phone over to mom as they mumbled about something so I wouldn't here, before he stomped away and slammed our door shut.
"... mom? Are you guys... ok? Where is dad going?" I asked, trying to prod questions out of her.
"Nothing honey. We were just talking about how your father thinks it's silly for me to ask you this: you have your sleeping bag, yes? And everything you need?"
"Yes." I reply bluntly.
"Just so you know, we are fine."
"So, you're talking again?" I question hesitantly.
"Well... no. Sorry sweetie."
"Seriously?! What ever happened to communication?!" I snapped at my mother, hanging up before she could protest. I regret sure, but it isn't right. This has to end.

Author's Notes

Due to my cold, this chapter is shorter. While it would probably better that I wait til I'm fully recovered I decided not to do that! But anyway, in all seriousness, no chapters or books will be updated til I'm fully recovered.
