Aquarius looked out the living room windows. It was pouring rain. He shrugged and walked into the kitchen to see Virgo frying eggs while talking to Taurus.

"It's pouring rain on a Sunday." Aquarius sat on a high stool beside the island. "This is a sign we shouldn't go to school tomorrow."

"How?" asked Virgo.

"Bad things happen when you're not supposed to go to school tomorrow."

Taurus chuckled. "But I have to go to school for my chemistry test tomorrow. Poor old me can't even walk, let alone go to school by myself."

Aquarius squinted his eyes at her. "Poor old me? Says the one that chases us around the house."

Taurus batted her eyelashes innocently. "What do you mean? That doesn't even make sense because you can just outrun me."

"But you're faster than us."

Virgo stifled a laugh. "You must be really slow in order for her to outrun you, in a wheelchair."

"We're not slow, she's just really fast! She can move her wheelchair very quickly, especially when she gets going."

Taurus moved her wheelchair forward, at a normal pace. "This is the fastest I can go. I'm going really fast, right?"

"She's faking it. She can go three times as fast as that!"

"Maybe your old bones are catching up to you," chuckled Virgo.

"She's pretending she can't go as fast. She can almost catch up to Scorpio or the fire signs when they're running."

Virgo flipped the eggs in the frying pan. "I'm sure."

Aquarius frowned. Taurus hasn't been in that wheelchair very long and she already knows how to use it to her advantage. You may be able to trick Virgo and Libra, but you can't trick the rest of us.

"Even if I was faking, it's just over how fast I can go in a wheelchair," shrugged Taurus.

"I SMELL EGGS!" Sagittarius ran into the kitchen.

Virgo pointed at the door. "Everyone else get out except Taurus. I don't want everyone slowly coming in and making the place crowded. I'll help Taurus out later."

Taurus smiled innocently at Aquarius. "Yeah, since I can't move around very well on my own."

Aquarius and Sagittarius sat down in the living room.

"What's that about Taurus not being able to move around easily?" asked Sagittarius.

"She's being clever and acting like she can't get around so that she can trick Libra and Virgo. Actually, Libra probably knows. I think she's just messing with Virgo."

"Yeah, everyone messes with Virgo. Let's watch a movie."

"Sure."

Virgo and Taurus stayed in the kitchen.

Virgo was frying eggs, when suddenly the eggs caught on fire.

Virgo gasped and jumped back.

"What?" Taurus wheeled forward to see what was going on.

"Did you see that? The frying pan caught on fire!"

Taurus frowned. "It looks fine to me."

Virgo looked at the frying pan. The eggs sat in the frying pan, perfectly fine. "They were just on fire."

Taurus laughed. "You're losing it."

Virgo looked at the frying pan suspiciously. He felt the heat from the fire and even smelled the smoke.

Later on, everyone was spread out.

Scorpio was in her shower. She had already washed her hair. She was just relaxing under the hot water, when the lights turned off.

Scorpio reached for her phone to use as a flashlight as she climbed out of the shower. Quickly getting dressed and putting her hair up in a towel on top of her head, she decided to see what was going on.

Scorpio walked into the living room, trying to towel dry her damp hair. "What's going on?"

Aquarius looked outside the dark windows. Wind and rain smashed against the walls of the house, causing it to shake.

Scorpio stood beside him. "A thunder storm."

"How long do you think it will take for the others to come see why the power went out?"

Scorpio shrugged. "In about ten seconds at most, they'll all come down one by one."

Nine seconds later, Pisces screamed "WHERE'S THE POWER?" He walked out of the elevator, which was powered by it's own generator.

Aquarius smirked at Scorpio. "You were off by a second."

Scorpio rolled her eyes. "Only by one second."

"A whole second."

"You're going to have a whole fist in your face now in a minute."

Aquarius chuckled. Then he turned to face Pisces. "What were you just doing?"

Pisces looked at him with Handsome in his arms. "Me and Cancer were playing with Handsome when the power went out. Scorpio obviously just took a shower."

Aquarius walked over to a couch and sat down. "I was watching tv."

Scorpio sat on the opposite couch and stretched out. "What do we do without power?"

"We live like cavemen," replied Aquarius.

Gemini and Capricorn were next. Gemini fixed his messed up hair while Capricorn didn't care.

"What were you two doing before the power went out?" asked Pisces.

"Playing games." Gemini smoothed Capricorn's hair back down before taking a seat on the couch.

Capricorn's face suddenly grew red. "Board games." He was glad it was too dark for anyone else to really see anything.

"Let's gets some light in here." Scorpio turned on the flashlight on her phone and made the flashlight side face upwards, creating some light. Everyone else quickly did the same thing.

Pisces looked around. "Now there's enough light for everyone to see the blush on Capricorn's face. Why are you blushing? What were you actually doing before the power went out?"

Capricorn put a hand up to his face. He could feel his blush. "I'm warm." He took off his hoodie.

"Maybe you should take off your shirt too," smirked Gemini. Capricorn elbowed him. Then they sat on the couch that wasn't currently being take up by Scorpio.

Leo was the next one to walk into the living room, followed by Sagittarius.

"What were you guys just doing?" asked Scorpio.

"Nothing," replied Leo. Then she hid under the couch.

"We weren't here." Sagittarius hid in the closet.

"Did they prank Aries or Gem?" asked Aquarius.

"Gem," guessed Pisces.

"Aries," guessed Scorpio.

"One of you are right," whispered Leo's voice.

Aries ran into the living room. "Where are they?"

"Where's who?" asked Gemini.

Aries shook her head, making sparkles fall out. Then she looked under the couches, and pulled Leo out by her ankles.

"There's a lot of dandruff in your hair," smirked Leo. "Don't you take care of your scalp?"

Aries used her knees to pin Leo's legs. Then she reached in her pocket and started dumping sparkles on Leo.

Leo tried to push Aries off. "SAGITTARIUS IS IN THE CLOSET!"

Aries shrugged. "But you're more fun to get revenge on."

"LEO YOU COWARD!" shouted someone from the closet.

"What's going on?" Everyone turned to see Gem walk into the living room.

"What were you doing before the power went out?" asked Aquarius.

"Picking my nose." Gem said sarcastically and sat on Scorpio's legs.

Scorpio kicked Gem onto the floor. Gem reached up and hauled Scorpio off the couch.

Pisces kicked Aquarius and Gemini onto the floor. Gemini pulled Capricorn down with him.

"Why does this always happen?" asked Capricorn.

Aquarius pulled Pisces down.

Handsome sat proudly on the couch. He was the winner of the couch wars.

"Puppy!" Cancer ran into the living room and sat beside Handsome.

Sagittarius walked out of the closet and sat on the other side of Handsome. "I don't think he's a puppy anymore."

Cancer hugged him. "He'll always be a puppy to me."

Taurus wheeled into the room. "Why is everyone on the floor? And why is Leo being buried with sparkles?"

"Revenge," replied Aries.

Leo made Aries lose her balance, and fall on top of her.

Aries wrapped her arms around Leo. "Now you're stuck in my hug trap. You can't escape until I let you."

Leo shrugged. "Okay."

Cancer looked out the window. "I was doing homework in my room when the lights turned off. Actually, I was paying more attention to Handsome than my homework."

Taurus wheeled over to the couch. "I was running on the treadmill."
(A/N: guys she was joking 😂)

Cancer sighed. "Come on, someone help me lift her onto the couch."

Aquarius and Cancer helped lift Taurus onto the couch. Everyone else got off the floor and sat back on the couches. Except for Leo who couldn't free herself from Aries' hug.

Leo tickled Aries. Aries released Leo, allowing them both to join their friends on the couches.

Suddenly, Virgo entered the living room with Libra on his back.

"What were you guys doing before the power went out?" asked Pisces.

"I was sleeping in the hammock room," replied Libra. She rested her chin on Virgo's shoulder. "Virgo was studying in the hammock room."

"Trying to study. Your snoring kept distracting me."

Libra kicked Virgo's ass. "I don't snore."

Sagittarius sighed. "The power is out, as you all can see. While we wait for it to come back, what should we do now?"

"Build a generator to power the entire house and not just the elevator." Cancer picked up Cheeto when she walked into the room.

Suddenly the entire room flashed with light. Gem wrapped her arms around Sagittarius and buried her head into her chest.

Sagittarius chuckled. "You're scared of lightning?"

"N-no!"

Thunder roared from the skies above. Gem shrieked and wrapped her arms tighter around Sagittarius.

"The thunderstorm will end soon. It's okay." Sagittarius patted Gem on the back.

"Why are you so scared of thunder and lightning?" asked Cancer.

Gem curled up into a ball. "I'm just scared."

"We should distract ourselves until it's over," suggested Leo.

"How?" asked Libra.

Taurus gasped. "Let's play spotlight!"

"Who's that?" Virgo walked over to the window and squinted his eyes. "I just saw someone standing in our front yard."

Scorpio jumped up and ran to the window. "Where?"

"I don't know where they went, but someone was just there!"

"I'll keep watch." Scorpio glared at the empty yard.

"So are we playing spotlight?" asked Aries.

Sagittarius looked at the window. "But Virgo just saw someone."

"I'm keeping watch," replied Scorpio.

"NOT IT!" Gemini dropped to the ground and put a finger on his nose.

Everyone else followed, except Taurus.

Cancer sighed. "We can't make Taurus be it."

Scorpio looked at the others. "I'm not playing. I'm watching the front yard."

"I'll be the seeker." Libra turned on the flashlight on her phone.

Everyone else grabbed their phones and ran away. Aquarius and Cancer helped Taurus back in her wheelchair before they disappeared.

Libra started counting.

Gem and Sagittarius hid in Gemini's office.

"What happened to the study room?" asked Sagittarius.

They decided to hide here because the soundproof walls blocked out the sound of the thunder that terrified Gem.

Gem wandered around. There were boards set up around the room, covered in paper. The desk was full of files, a laptop, and other stuff. One board caught her attention. "There's pictures of the alternates here."

Sagittarius examined the pictures of alternates. "Someone's been doing research."

Gem used her flashlight to read writing on a whiteboard.

1. Libra: nut allergy, 2. Aquarius: low nutrients, 3. Taurus: Paraplegic.

"Is this Scorpio's study room?" asked Sagittarius.

"No. It's my brother's." Gem glanced at Gemini's laptop.

Sagittarius picked up a weird note that was written in an indecipherable language. "What's this?"

Gem stared at the note. Looking it it gave her a weird feeling, kind of like déjà-vu.

Sagittarius picked up the files on the desk. "There's files on the alternates."

Gem used her flashlight to read them. "Ares Ignis." The red haired boy on the front of the folder looked familiar. Maybe she saw his picture somewhere before. Gem put the folders down. She didn't know if she would be able to read Gina's yet.

"Gemini is doing research on the alternates." Sagittarius looked around. "We knew that, but he's storing all the information in this room."

Gem was about to pick the lock on one of the desk drawers, when Libra opened the door. Libra had no idea she just prevented Gem from opening the drawer that contained Gemini's journal where he wrote everything that Gina told him.

"Spotlight on Gem and Sagittarius."

Capricorn and Gemini were hiding in the hammock room.

Capricorn was lying down. "I hope the power comes back soon."

"I'll give you a platonic friendship cuddle, since we're such great FRIENDS and we platonically love each other." Gemini wrapped his arms around Capricorn. "This is my platonic way of showing my friendship to you."

Capricorn laughed. "Sometimes I wonder if they're really oblivious to each other, or if they're just constantly friend zoning each other."

"I wonder if they'll EVER end up together."

Capricorn chuckled. "If they keep doing everything platonically they won't."

"Sometimes I wonder who the couples will be in a few years."

"I think Aquarius will end up with Leo. They're the only couple I can predict, except Virgo and Libra."

"I wonder who will end up will all the crazier ones."

"If Aquarius and Leo get together, then Virgo and Libra get together, that leaves four girls and Pisces."

"I don't think Pisces likes either of them though."

"I guess we'll find out later."

Gemini smiled at Capricorn. "I'm glad we're together though."

"I didn't think we ever would be."

"Why? Because I dated Taurus?"

"Yeah."

"Well, I guess you were wrong."

Capricorn slid his fingers into Gemini's hair. "Can we finish what we started earlier?"

Gemini pulled Capricorn into a kiss. "Good idea. Let Libra find us if she wants to."

Aries and Leo hid in the pool room. They both swam around, fully clothed.

"This feels weird." Aries swam close to Leo.

"I've never swam without being able to see before."

"What if there's sharks or something, we're just not able to see them?" Aries quietly dove underwater.

"Why would there be sharks in our pool?" Leo jumped when Aries grabbed her ankle.

Aries laughed and held onto the ledge of the pool. "Did I scare you?"

"I knew it was you."

Aries sighed. "We should be quiet so Libra doesn't hear us."

"You just grabbed my ankle from underwater and tried to make me scream."

"Shhhhhh!"

Leo splashed Aries. "You should stop talking then."

"But talking to you is so much fun."

Leo hugged Aries. "It's also fun being around you."

Aries bit her lip. Then she decided to confess everything to Leo. "I think I'm in lo-"

Suddenly the door opened.

"Who's there?" whispered a voice.

"You first," demanded Leo.

Aquarius slowly walked over, trying not to fall in the pool. "It's just me, Aquarius."

"Come join the party. We're in the pool."

"I'm not going to get my clothes wet. I'll just sit here and talk to you guys."

"Wait, weren't you saying something Aries?"

"I was just saying that I love swimming." Aries secretly wished Aquarius didn't interrupt them.

Both fire signs heard a gasp, followed by a splash.

Leo laughed. "You fell in the pool, didn't you Aquarius?"

"No. I dived in."

"You just said you didn't want to get your clothes wet."

Aquarius shrugged. "I changed my mind."

"I think I'll head to my room now." Aries tried to pull herself out of the pool, but Leo pulled her back down.

"Don't leave yet! Why do you want to go?"

"I don't know. Enjoy your conversation with Aquarius."

Leo furrowed her brow. She remembered how Aries acted when she danced with Aquarius. Something was going on, and she wanted to know what it was. "Guys, is there something going on that I don't know about?"

Aquarius shook his head. "Everything seems normal to me."

"Me too," agreed Aries.

"You guys act kind of awkward when I'm around the other."

Aquarius' eyes widened. He finally figured out who Leo's second admirer was. "You must be imagining it."

Leo opened her mouth to say more, but then Libra walked into the room with a flashlight, followed by her two ninjas.

"Spotlight on Aries, Leo, and Aquarius."

Taurus and Virgo sat in the comfort room. They were sitting on a cliff, looking down at a clear dark blue ocean under a red and orange sunset.

Taurus glanced at Virgo. "Do you get a lot of sleep?"

"Why?"

"Because you keep seeing things that nobody else sees."

"It feels too real to be a hallucination."

"I'd rather you hallucinate than for there to actually be someone in our front yard."

"We're safe with Scorpio watching the house."

"I hope it's not another stalker."

"I think they've left us alone. They're probably training for The Trials."

"I know I'm probably going to lose. I can't even do anything without this wheelchair."

Virgo sighed. "Don't be so hard on yourself. You can't walk, but you could be better at other things. Maybe you're a lot smarter than your alternate."

"Or maybe he's the one that put a curse on us."

"Leon said it was a girl that did that."

"He still could have been an accomplice."

"The only way we'll know is in the summer when The Trials begin."

Suddenly, the scene around them went back to how it originally looks.

Both earth signs looked at each other before turning to see Libra, Sagittarius, Gem and three more zodiacs with soaked clothes in the doorway.

Pisces and Cancer hid in their room and locked the door.

Pisces did a victory dance. "Can't catch us if you can't see us."

"Isn't this cheating?"

"Only if we get caught."

"Didn't Virgo see someone outside earlier?"

"Yeah."

"So we're hiding in the dark, while there's potentially someone outside our house."

"Scorpio is watching the house. She'll hear anyone if they try to get in."

"You're right."

Pisces walked over to the window. He screamed.

"WHAT?" Cancer got into a fighting position.

"Nothing. You get scared too easily."

Cancer took off his sock and threw it at Pisces. "Don't do that."

"Maybe we should just go to sleep. The power will turn on in the morning."

"There's nothing else to do. Come on Pisces, let's get in bed."

"That's what she said."

Cancer climbed in bed and rolled his eyes.

Pisces pretended to get into his own bed, when he was actually hiding under Cancer's bed.

Cancer was half asleep when someone grabbed his ankles. He screamed and kicked Pisces in the face.

"Ow." Pisces held his bloody nose.

"You get what you deserved. Now go to sleep."

Pisces chuckled and finally got in his own bed. He used tissues from their nightstand to soak up the blood from his nosebleed.

After the game was over, everyone went to their own rooms. Libra gave up after she couldn't find Gemini, Capricorn, Pisces, or Cancer.

Scorpio stayed in the living room, looking out the window.

"You're still there?" Virgo approached Scorpio and stood beside her.

"I haven't seen anything. I think you imagined the person in our front yard."

"Taurus thinks I'm hallucinating."

"Maybe you thought you saw something since it's dark outside."

Virgo sighed and turned around. Then he screamed as he fell to he ground.

Scorpio gave Vigo a funny look. "What?"

Virgo looked up in fear at the shadow of a person standing in the elevator. "He's right there!"

"Who's there?"

"He's in the elevator!"

"The elevator is empty."

Virgo closed his eyes. When he opened them, the shadow was gone. "Where did he go?"

"Virgo, I think I should take you to the hospital."

"He's in the house! We have to find him!"

"WHO?"

"The man that was standing in the elevator!"

"You're hallucinating. Taurus was right."

"I saw him. He was actually there."

"Hallucinations can feel and look real. I'll take you to the doctor to get some medicine for you."

"Why would I be hallucinating?"

"Your curse."

Virgo blinked. "My curse is hallucinations? I have to see creepy things for the rest of my life?"

"The doctor can prescribe you medicine to make the hallucinations go away. This is actually pretty minor compared to some of the other curses."

Virgo rubbed his temples. "If hallucinations is all I have to go through, I'll consider myself lucky."

"Now let's go to the hospital to make sure it's just hallucinations and there's no other cause that we should worry about."

"Like schizophrenia?"

"It could just be hallucinations, but you could have something else like Schizophrenia."

Virgo stood up and sighed. "You're really calm."

"I watched Libra almost die, Aquarius pass out for no reason, and I was there when Taurus fell out of the tree and got paralyzed. You seeing shadows doesn't really phase me."

"Alright. Let's go to the hospital then."
