Everyone was at the mansion, getting ready for prom. In the living room, the boys were waiting for the girls to finish getting ready in the kitchen where they applied a bit of make up or curled their hair.

"Prom will be over before you guys are finished getting ready!" teased Pisces.

Gem popped her head out from behind the door. "You won't go to prom if I knock you out and throw you out the window of the car." She closed the door again.

Virgo fidgeted with his tie. "Am I the only one who's nervous?"

"Nope," replied Cancer.

"I suddenly forgot how to dance." Capricorn nervously glanced at Gemini.

"You'll be fine." Gemini patted Capricorn on the back.

Aquarius shrugged. "I don't see the big deal with prom."

"How do I look?" Libra gently brushed the curls in her hair to make it wavy.

"Like a clown," replied Sagittarius.

"Is my hair completely straight?" Aries tried to look at the back of her hair with a mirror.

"It's probably the straightest part about you," chuckled Leo.

"That's not helpful!"

"Your hair looks good." Scorpio looked through the mirror. "When can we go?"

"Lets go out one by one," suggested Taurus.

Gem smiled. "I've been thinking about prom since I woke up this morning. Why does prom have to be in the evening?"

"It feels more like a party that way," replied Libra.

"I agree with Scorpio. Can we go now?" Sagittarius impatiently walked back and forth.

Libra checked to make sure the curling irons and straighteners were all unplugged. "Everyone ready?" Everyone nodded. "Who wants to go first then?"

"I will." Scorpio opened the door and walked out. Her dress was a deep blue with silver sparkles. She wore blue flats, not bothering with makeup except for a little that Libra made her wear. She had a sparkly silver hair clip in her hair. She walked over to Aquarius and linked arms with him. Aquarius wore a black suit with a black tie.

Gem walked out next. Her dress was light blue with lots of silky layers. Like Scorpio, her make up was minimal and her shoes were sandals since her dress was long enough that her feet couldn't be seen. Her hair was curled in ringlets and she wore a silver necklace. She walked over to Pisces and stood beside him. Pisces wore a black suit and a blue tie, and his hair was spiked using gel.

Taurus wheeled out next. She wore the turquoise and silver sparkle strapless dress that Capricorn picked out for her. She had a small silver sparkly mini purse and her almost shoulder length hair was half pinned up and loosely curled. Her shoes were long silver heels since she didn't have to worry about her feet getting sore from walking. She wheeled over to Cancer who couldn't look away from her, and held his hand. Cancer wore a black suit with a turquoise tie.

Leo was next. Her dress was a figure fitting style white dress that had lots of small jewels on the bottom. Her hair was wavy and half pinned back to show her dangly diamond earrings, and she also wore a few sparkly bracelets. She walked over to the others and stopped.

Aries was next. She wore a red dress that had a few patches that were gold coloured towards the bottom. Her shoes were red heeled boots, her hair was straightened and her makeup was minimal. She stood beside Leo.

Sagittarius walked out wearing a strapless dress that started as red but then faded into orange, then into yellow. Her hair was in a ponytail, and she wore sneakers under her dress since you couldn't see her feet. She also wore red eyeshadow that Libra applied while she fell asleep earlier. She walked over to Pisces and Gem. 

Libra was last. She wore a black dress that showed her figure. Her wavy hair was pinned back into a ponytail, and she wore sparkly black heels. She smirked as she walked towards Virgo who might not have even been breathing. Virgo wore a black suit with a black tie. He even made sure his glasses were spotless.

Gemini smiled. "We should go now." He wore a black suit with a green tie. His silvery white hair was combed back with gel. Capricorn wore a black suit with a white tie. His white tie represented air while Gemini's green tie represented earth; they wore each other's elements.

"So Aries and Leo are the only ones without dates?" asked Pisces.

Leo wrapped her arms around Aries and kissed her forehead. "We have dates."

"Wait you guys are dating?" asked Cancer. "You guys didn't tell anyone."

Aries shrugged. "Well, now you know."

"Actually, most of you already knew," shrugged Leo.

"What are we doing after prom?" asked Taurus.

Virgo shrugged. "You all know the password to get into the house. Everyone can come home whenever they want and do whatever they want."

"Although be careful what you do." Pisces smirked. "We don't want any new zodiacs in nine months."

"What do we call him again?" asked Leo. "PervertedPeecesPoo."

Pisces crossed his arms. "That's the dumbest name ever. You couldn't have come up with something better?"

Aquarius sighed. "We purposely came up with something dumb so that you'd hate it."

Capricorn played with his sleeves. "I hope there's at least good punch at prom."

"I might go get a milkshake or something afterwards." Sagittarius looked at Gem.

"Yeah I'll do that too!" cheered Gem. "Good thing some fast food places stay open all night long."

"How do we know Scorpio won't lock us out of the house when we come back home?" joked Cancer.

"I'm not that mean. I promise not to touch the locks and let you guys in if I get home first."

"If everyone's ready, lets go!" cheered Gemini. Everyone else cheered and walked towards the garage.

When they arrived, everyone started dancing. The prom was in the school gym with a few bleachers pressed against the back walls in case people got tired. In the hallway outside the gym, a few punch bowls were set up with volunteers from grade 11 to serve the punch. Everyone danced with their dates except for Pisces, Gem and Sagittarius who all danced in a triangle formation.

After about one third of prom was over, the music stopped as the principal walked onstage with a microphone. "Hello students! I hope you're all having fun."

The students cheered.

She pulled an envelope from her purse. "It's time to announce prom King and Queen. They'll have a solo dance to a love song, then we'll play a slow song for everyone here with a date."

"Did any of us get nominated?" asked Libra.

Virgo shrugged. "The others could have nominated someone, but I didn't put our names in."

"The prom king is... Virgo Captiosus."

Virgo stared at Libra in shock before walking onstage to get his crown. He scanned the crowd and immediately knew who nominated them by the sly smirk on Pisces' face.

"And our prom queen is... Libra Statera."

Libra walked onstage and stood beside Virgo as she was handed her crown. Everyone cheered and clapped as Virgo grabbed Libra's wrist to pull her in the middle of the dance floor. Closer by the chainsmokers played as everyone watched Virgo and Libra dance.

Libra sighed. "We got nominated for prom king and Queen, but we're not even dating."

"Maybe we're dating but pla-"

"Don't finish that sentence."

"There's people who'd die to be prom king or queen, so let's just pretend we're dating." Virgo pulled Libra closer.

"I don't like how everyone's watching."

"Pretend we're the only people that exist."

"Why is closer our solo dance song?"

"It's about love and it's popular. Did you expect the school to actually try to find a deeply emotional song?"

"I like closer anyway."

At the end of the dance, Libra hugged Virgo and swayed back and forth with her head resting against his chest.

Then a slow song was played. Everyone with a date started dancing while a lot of people sat on the bleachers or went to get some punch. Scorpio and Aquarius were quick to head towards the bleachers. Sagittarius and Gem were headed towards them with Pisces until Gem stopped.

"You guys should dance. I don't like slow dances, but you guys can if you want to."

Sagittarius blinked. "I don't mind sitting down-"

"Pisces looks like he still wants to dance. I'm too tired."

"If Pisces wants to dance then I don't mind."

Pisces bowed and stretched his hand towards Sagittarius. "Sagittarius Calidi, would you like to dance with me?"

Sagittarius smiled and grabbed his hand. "I would love to." They walked back out towards the dance floor while Gem sat beside Aquarius and Scorpio.

"When are you going to-"

Aquarius shushed Scorpio. "He said halfway through the song."

"What are you doing?" Gem grinned curiously at Aquarius.

"I can't tell you. You'll see."

"Why aren't you two dancing?"

"Because we're not dates," replied Scorpio. "We're here as friends."

"I don't like slow songs anyway." Aquarius cringed. "Maybe it's because I'm single, but I don't really find slow songs that big of a deal."

Scorpio smirked. "You won't say that when you get a girlfriend or fall in love. I'll bet ten dollars."

"I'm not trying to find a girlfriend or fall in love. I'll find a girl when the time is right."

"I'm not too interested in dating right now either." Scorpio crossed her arms. "I'll consider my options after this whole Trials thing is over. Maybe not right away then either."

"What options?" asked Gem.

"People I know. There's a few friends that caught my eye when I was queen of my country. Maybe I'll meet someone new."

"Maybe she'll fall for an alternate," joked Aquarius. "Just don't fall for yours because I'm pretty sure we're related to our alternates somehow."

Scorpio lightly pushed Aquarius. "Maybe you'll fall for an alternate. I heard Pie is very pretty."

"I'm not going to date Pisces' alternate."

"Gem was in classes with them. Maybe she'll marry an alternate."

"I don't remember the classes very well. Almost everything I know is from what Gina told me. I regained a few little pieces of memory back over time, but not much else. I do remember that I went on a few dates with one alternate, but he's an absolute asshole so I don't want to date anymore alternates."

Aquarius tried not to react, but his eyes widened. "Which alternate was that?"

"Lee, the alternate Libra. I don't remember it well but he always seemed like someone who's strict and possessive. He's dating the alternate Capricorn now, so nobody has to worry about him."

"Why are you telling us this?" asked Scorpio.

"It's only you guys. Neither of you will tell anyone. It's not a big secret anyway."

"I should go now." Aquarius stood up and walked towards the dance floor.

"Watch what he's going to do." Scorpio kept a straight face. It could have been a trick of the barely existent light, but Gem thought she could see tears in Scorpio's eyes.

Cancer danced with Taurus by holding her hands and swaying back and forth. He didn't care that she couldn't stand, but Taurus seemed to be worried despite the smile on her face.

"I'm happy dancing with you like this."

Taurus sighed. "I know, but I wish I could dance with you like everyone else."

"I'd rather go to prom with you than anyone else who can stand. You're the only thing I care about, your parapala- parple- parag-"

"Paraplegia."

"That doesn't matter to me. You don't want to ruin your dance by wishing for something that can't be helped, do you?"

"No. You're right." Taurus smiled and continued moving her hands.

"Are you having fun?"

"More fun that I expected."

Cancer looked over Taurus' shoulder. "Taurus, don't panic at what happens next. Now."

Taurus suddenly felt a pair of arms grab her from behind. Aquarius firmly wrapped his arms around Taurus' waist and held her up so that she faced Cancer.

"What's going on?" Taurus couldn't feel her legs even as Aquarius let her feet rest on the floor. She was almost standing up except for Aquarius who held her up.

"I've been building muscle for a while. I can handle this for half a dance." Aquarius helped Taurus sway to the music with Cancer. "Pretend I'm not here."

Tears pooled in Taurus' eyes as she put her arms around Cancer's neck and slow danced with him.

Cancer grinned. "I knew you wanted to dance like everyone else. I don't mind dancing with you while you sit in your wheelchair, but I figured you'd want to dance like this too."

"This feels awkward but I love it. Thanks Cancer. Thank you Aquarius."

"I love you, Taurus."

"I love you too Cancer. I really, really love you."

"I really, really, really love you."

Aquarius groaned. "Please don't start."

Taurus and Cancer laughed and continued dancing.

"That was my foot."

"Sorry," chuckled Aries. "I'm clumsy."

"I know. But it's also kind of cute so I don't mind."

Aries stepped so close to Leo that as they danced, their noses were almost touching. "There's nobody else I'd rather dance with."

"Good. Because I also can't think of someone better to dance with."

"I still can't believe this is real. I feel like I'm going to wake up as a ghost, still in a coma. I can't believe you actually like me."

"I didn't know either until I lost my memories and realized that my feelings were stronger for you than anyone else. I think I might have liked you all along, but I just brushed the feeling off since we're best friends."

"We're together now, that's all that matters. I've liked you for a really long time. I was afraid you'd figure out and get mad."

"Who else knew?"

"Scorpio. I told Sagittarius eventually as well. Gemini found out because I wanted to ask him questions. Aquarius found out too."

"Well, its real. You wouldn't be dreaming for this long if it was a dream."

Aries stopped dancing to hug Leo. "You make me really happy."

Leo stroked Aries' hair. "I'm glad."

Aries looked up and kissed her. "Did you get any memories back?"

"No, and I probably won't since I should have gotten some memories back by now. I don't care if I don't get my memories back, all I care about is the new memories I'll make with you."

Gemini and Capricorn danced to an upbeat song that played after the slow song.

"I bet I can out dance you," challenged Capricorn.

"Didn't you say that you forgot how to dance earlier?"

"But now I remember so I'll beat you."

"Try your best."

Gemini and Capricorn danced as hard as they could until they were both tired.

"You win." Capricorn started dancing slowly until he caught his breath.

Gemini also slowed his dancing. "Do you want some punch?"

"Sure." Capricorn walked beside Gemini as they walked into the hallway to grab some fruit punch. They sat on a bench outside as they enjoyed their drinks.

"Seems like nobody spiked the punch yet." Gemini shrugged. "I can easily see Pisces trying something like that."

"What do you want to do after prom?"

"Well I had an idea but Pisces said no-"

Capricorn spit out his drink.

Gemini laughed. "I'm kidding. I figured you'd react like that."

Capricorn tried not to smile but couldn't. "We could hang out at the park. Like we used to before we all moved into the mansion."

"We used to go there a lot before we started dating."

"You were the one who always wanted to hangout with me."

"I thought I just liked hanging out with you. A lot."

"You're worst than the platonic couple."

"Shhh! Don't let them hear you or they'll rant about how they're just friends."

Capricorn drank the rest of his drink. "Want to dance again?"

Gemini took Capricorn's drink and threw both empty cups in the garbage. "Yes."

When they returned to the dance floor, a love song played.

"I really like your hair like that." Capricorn resisted the urge to touch Gemini's hair.

"Taurus and Scorpio used some kind of gel. Maybe I'll have to ask them what it was."

"You should wear it on special occasions."

"If you like it that much. This is such a beautiful song."

"I can't look away from your eyes."

"Then don't."

"You have the prettiest blue eyes I've ever seen."

"I like looking at your eyes. They're brown, but they look gold in the sunlight. It's fascinating to look at."

"You must look closely to notice that."

"I've got a cute boyfriend, it's not hard to constantly get lost in your eyes."

Capricorn blushed. "Wow. The room is suddenly very warm."

"Do I make you that flustered?"

"No comment."

"I think I have to flirt with you more often."

"Then I think I have to do more of this."

A slight blush appeared on Gemini's face as Capricorn grabbed him by the tie and pulled him forward until their noses were touching. Capricorn cupped Gemini's cheek with his free hand as he gently kissed him.

"Where did Gem go?" Pisces glanced around the room for Gem.

"She's dancing with Aquarius and Scorpio." Sagittarius pointed to where Gemini competed against Aquarius in a dance off.

"Do we keep dancing then?"

"Sure."

"Libra and Virgo literally can't keep their hands off each other. They're always accidentally touching hands."

"I've noticed that too. They also haven't taken their eyes off each other."

"We tease them a lot, but I wonder if we'd know if someone liked us."

"I want to say I would, but I think if it's someone attractive, I would think it's in my head."

"Who do you find attractive?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"I mean like what kind of guy. I'm just curious."

"I'm not quite sure. I like a guy that can keep up with me since I'm so wild."

Aquarius already told me that. "I think I'd need a girl that can keep up with me too, since I'm wild."

"That's probably why we're good friends, because we're both wild."

Did she just unknowingly friend zone me? She doesn't know I like her so she didn't do it purposely. "Yeah. That's why we get to do a lot of pranks together, with Gem too."

"I wonder if Aquarius will date Scorpio or Gem? Or someone outside the group? He deserves so much, I hope he gets a girlfriend that really likes him."

"You're worried about him. Yeah, I hope he finds someone too."

"I can't help but to worry about him. I see him as a brother to me. He's not just like a brother, but he actually feels like one sometimes. Maybe it makes me overprotective, but when he gets a girlfriend, I want to make sure she's right for him."

"That sounds reasonable."

"I wouldn't worry if he dated someone from our friend group. I trust Scorpio and Gem."

"What about me?"

"You want to date Aquarius?"

"I mean do you worry about me too?"

"Ehh. Although we're pretty close, I'm not as close with you as Aquarius. I still hope you find a girl who's right for you though."

"Who would that be?"

"I'm not sure. I actually have no idea. I don't know what kind of girl you'd like. Someone like Gem maybe, but I can't see you guys dating."

"Maybe we'll just have to see then."

"Yeah. I know you'll find someone eventually though!"

Later on that night, Libra and Virgo decided to relax on the bleachers. They looked around, but less than a quarter of the people who attended were still there.

Virgo checked his phone. "Based on the chain of pictures on the group chat, Gem, Sagittarius, Aries and Leo are drinking milkshakes, Taurus and Cancer are cuddling at home, Gemini and Capricorn are at a park, and Scorpio is reading in her room with Cheeto on her lap. Pisces and Aquarius didn't post anything, so I don't know where they are. They're probably at home or getting food."

"Aquarius is over there!" Libra pointed to the strawberry blond.

"Then Pisces is probably still here too."

"Do you want to stay here or leave?"

"Let's go."

"Can you get us some punch first?"

"Sure." Virgo walked towards the hallway while Libra stayed on the bleachers. She thought about how much fun she had with Virgo today. They danced and accidentally held hands a lot. It was pure accident according to Libra. However, she purposely moved her hand towards his several times, although she'd never admit it.

She also stared at his eyes a lot. She couldn't take her eyes off of him. She wanted to tell him that she liked him, but she always got too nervous.

"Here." Virgo passed Libra a cup of punch. They left the gym and walked along the sidewalk.

"Where do you want to go?"

"The cars are all gone, so lets walk home."

"Alright. It's a bit of a walk."

"All we have to do is walk to the nearest bus station. I always keep my bus pass in the back of my phone."

"I didn't bring mine."

"Then I'll just walk home with you."

"You don't mind?"

"It's not too long of a walk. Wait, I'll see if someone at home can pick us up."

"It's alright if they can't."

"Scorpio will come if we buy her chocolate."

"Alright." Libra stopped when she found a garbage can and threw away her cup. Virgo drank the rest of his drink so he could throw away his cup too.

"She's leaving now."

Libra leaned closer to Virgo as they walked until their shoulders touched. They both noticed, but neither pulled away. "My hands are cold."

Virgo removed the top layer of his suit, revealing a tight white shirt underneath. "Here."

Libra tried not to smirk as Virgo put the jacket around her shoulders. She stuck her hands in the pockets. "Thanks, but now you're cold."

"I'm warm just by seeing you warm."

Libra blushed. "What if I hug you to warm you up?"

Virgo's eyes widened in panic. Don't mess this up! "Uhhh..."

"You don't have to hug if you don't want to"

YOU MESSED IT UP, YOU IDIOT! "Wait! Actually, I like hugs."

Libra stopped and hugged him. She rested her head against his chest as he rested his chin in her hair.

They stayed like that for seconds until Libra pulled away. "Come on, Scorpio should find us soon."

They continued walking in silence until Virgo grabbed Libra's wrist, stopping her. "Wait."

"What?"

"My feet hurt. Can we sit down?"

"Sure." Virgo and Libra sat on the grass beside the sidewalk. Libra sat on Virgo's jacket to make sure the grass didn't touch her dress.

"You look beautiful." Virgo played with a strand of her ponytail.

"You looked very handsome. I was worried other girls would be staring at you."

"Why would that worry you?"

Libra froze, then sighed. "Look, can I ask you something?"

"What?"

"What do you think about me?"

"I think you're a great friend-"

"Honestly. You know what I'm asking you."

Virgo's face turned red. He didn't know what to say. "I... really like you."

"As a friend?"

"Uh..."

"I really like you too."

"In what way?"

"Platonically-"

Virgo sighed. "I-"

"Isn't even close to how I feel."

"What?"

Libra buried her fingers in Virgo's hair and kissed him, passionately.

When she pulled away, Virgo stared at her with wide eyes. "D-did you just-"

"I didn't mean to do that. I guess I couldn't help it this time."

"THIS TIME?"

"I've had a crush on you for a long time. Since before we became rulers of our own kingdoms." 

"I didn't believe any of that platonic crap. I've always liked you too."

"I was afraid to ruin our friendship. I was worried that you wanted to stay friends."

"Friends don't do this." Virgo pulled Libra in for another kiss, and another, and another because neither of them wanted to let go.

Not until Scorpio got out of the car and crossed her arms. "Ahem."

Libra jumped up and looked down to try and hide her smudged make up and messy hair. "We... uh..."

One of Scorpio's eyebrows shot up. "I guess just friends don't make out with each other."

Virgo scratched his head. "We're actually not just friends anymore."

"I was wondering how long it would take you. Come on, I'll drive you guys home."

Virgo opened the car for Libra which made Scorpio roll her eyes.

"When should we tell the others?" asked Libra.

Virgo closed the car door and let Libra lean against him. "Tomorrow. Let's just have tonight without worrying about that."

"I'm getting a chocolate milkshake as my reward for driving you guys."

Virgo pulled his credit card out the back of his phone. "Alright. I think I'm too overwhelmed to care too much. Get a large if you want."

Libra smiled as she looked up at Virgo. "I think today has been the best day of my life."

Virgo kissed her forehead. "Best day of our lives."
