Peace Never Lasts
Pisces walked in the living room. Aquarius and Sagittarius sat on a couch, watching tv.
"Wanna join?" Sagittarius looked at Pisces and patted the empty spot beside her.
Pisces walked towards the couch and sat down, only for some hideous monster under the couch to grab his ankles, making him jump and scream.
That hideous monster turned out to be Gem. She looked up to see who her victim was.
"What are you doing under the couch?" asked Pisces.
Gem shrugged, hiding again. "This is where my people live."
"Your people?"
"The bugs." Suddenly a spider flew up at Pisces. Pisces decided to sit beside Aquarius instead.
"What are you guys doing for prom?" asked Sagittarius.
Pisces shrugged. "If I could find a date it would be nice, but I don't know who to go with."
"Ask Scorpio," suggested Sagittarius.
Scorpio was a good friend, and Pisces got along with her very well, but he couldn't imagine going to prom with her as a friend. Especially since he wanted to go with Sagittarius. "What would you guys say if someone asked you?"
"I'm not going with a date unless Sagittarius has one," replied Gem.
Sagittarius shrugged. "I'll go with someone if Gem gets a date."
Deciding it was his only chance, Pisces smirked. "I have two arms, what if I went with the two of you? As friends obviously since neither of us have dates."
"Only if it's platonically," teased Gem.
"Don't make fun of Virgo, you'll summon Libra," whispered Sagittarius.
"What do you think about his idea?" asked Gem.
"Do you want to?" asked Sagittarius.
"Doesn't matter."
"Then I guess we can all go together."
Pisces mentally pumped his fist in the air in victory. "Did Aqua ask his crush to prom yet?"
"I did. She said no."
Gem fell off the couch in surprise. "Leo rejected you?"
Aquarius nodded. "I'm not upset though, somehow it doesn't really bother me."
"You can be upset if you want." Sagittarius leaned against Aquarius.
"I'm actually not upset. I don't do what Scorpio does and say I'm not upset when I am."
"But you really liked her," frowned Pisces.
"I think I stopped liking her as much." Aquarius noticed how she looked at Aries since she lost her memories. He realized that she never looked at him that way. He wasn't going to be angry over it, he was glad that his crush and his best-friend-who-made-herself-his-best-friend were happy.
"Is she going alone then?" asked Gem.
It wasn't Aquarius' decision to tell the others, so he shrugged. "She just told me she had other plans in mind."
Sagittarius gasped, hoping that Leo rejected Aquarius for Aries.
"What?" asked Pisces.
Sagittarius shrugged. "I just yawned. Maybe you could go with Scorpio, Aqua."
Aquarius considered it. He wasn't interested in Scorpio in a romantic way, but he'd consider going as her friend. He wasn't really interested in anyone romantically right now, since he was currently trying to get over his crush on Leo. It was easy to accept that she was better with Aries, but it would take awhile before he stopped getting nervous around her.
Gem frowned. "That's if Scorpio wants a date."
Scorpio was the boss, no questions asked. If she wants to go alone, she'll go alone.
"Aqua is the only guy without a date," shrugged Pisces. "Either her or Aries might want to go with him, since Leo already said no."
"If Scorpio doesn't want a date, I'll just go by myself. It really doesn't matter that much."
"We don't really have dates either." Sagittarius smiled at Aquarius. "Me, Gem and Pisces are going as friends. You can just hangout with us. Scorpio too."'
Pisces wanted to go with just Sagittarius, but he didn't want to leave the others out. "We can all go together as friends then."
"Technically Virgo and Libra aren't going as dates either," shrugged Gem.
Pisces laughed. "They can say they're just going as friends all they want. Friends don't look at each other and steal glances like they do. Friends don't flirt like they do."
"I guess Aries doesn't have a date either then. Unless she goes with her new best friend," teased Gem.
Aquarius reminded himself to pretend he didn't know anything. "I don't like her as anything more than a best friend though. She's not my type."
Pisces frowned. "Leo saying no to Aqua messes up my shipping chart."
Aquarius smirked at Pisces. "You mean I'm no longer being shipped by Pisces? That's the best thing I've heard all week."
"Who am I shipped with?" asked Gem.
"My feet," replied Pisces.
"Ewww I don't like you Pisces."
"I said my feet."
"Yeah but they're still part of Pisces."
"Would you date my feet?" asked Sagittarius.
"I would marry your feet."
Aquarius rolled his eyes. "The two of you were dropped on the way to earth."
Gem gasped dramatically. "How dare you disapprove of my feet fetish."
"Are they joking?" asked Pisces.
Aquarius sighed. "I can never tell when they're joking."

Virgo was peacefully walking Handsome outside, when suddenly something landed on top of him.
That something was Libra who used air currents to push herself in the air, directly on top of him.
Virgo sighed, turning to look at Libra in the eyes. "I think you just fell for me."
"I didn't fall, I jumped."
"What are you doing on top of me?"
Libra shrugged. "I'm bored."
Virgo pushed Libra off, and got back up. Handsome barked at him.
"Even Handsome thinks you shouldn't push me," frowned Libra as she petted the dog.
"So you can do whatever you just did, but I can't push you off of me?"
"That doesn't sound fair. That's my favourite kind of rules."
Virgo smirked. "I'm taking Handsome for a walk. You should come too."
"Only if you tell me you want me to."
"I don't want you to come, I'm telling you that I wouldn't mind if you did."
Libra crossed her arms and headed towards the house. "Have fun."
Virgo sighed and watched Libra walk a few steps before saying, "I want you to go for a walk with me."
Libra smiled and skipped back over to Virgo. "Which way are we going?"
"You're a pain in the ass."
"Why is it so hard to admit you like being around me?"
"You're making it sound like I like you. In a non-platonic way."
"I hate the word platonic."
"You use the word platonic more than everyone else on earth combined."
Libra shrugged. "You say platonic more than I do."
"Isn't that my hoodie?" Virgo smirked, trying to change the topic.
Libra blushed. "No."
"My hoodie went missing, around the time you started wearing that one. Wait, didn't I let you borrow it?"
"I gave back the one I borrowed."
Virgo inspected the hoodie, finding a smudge of dirt. "You didn't wash it?"
"It's not dirty."
"There's dirt right here."
Libra brushed the dirt away. "Now there isn't."
"Does the hoodie still smell like me?"
"Yes." Libra blushed harder when she realized she replied without actually smelling the hoodie first.
Virgo pretended not to notice. "Do I smell good then?"
"Like shit."
Virgo gently pushed Libra with his shoulder. "Then why don't you wash it?"
"I don't want to talk anymore." Libra walked two steps ahead of Virgo, walking beside Handsome.
Virgo tried not to laugh. Libra really was stubborn when she wanted to be.

Aries and Leo swam in the pool room.
Leo was floating peacefully, when Aries grabbed her arms and pulled her underwater. Leo glared at Aries as she surfaced, spitting water at her.
Aries smiled innocently, before swimming away.
"Run while you can," teased Leo before chasing her.
Aries managed to swim away from Leo, until she slowed down from exhaustion.
Leo easily caught up to Aries from all her pool training with Scorpio. "What should I do with you now?"
"Go in the hot tub with me."
Leo grabbed Aries' wrists, pulling her closer. "I had something else in mind."
"I think I like your idea better, if it's what I think it is."
Leo smiled innocently before putting her arms around Aries' neck and kissing her.
Aries grabbed Leo's hand. "Now sit in the hot tub with me."
"Cold?"
"Yes."
Leo got out of the pool, helping Aries up before sitting in the hot tub.
Aries sat on Leo's lap.
"Should we tell the others?" asked Leo. "That we're dating?"
Aries shrugged. "Let them find out for themselves. I'll tell Scorpio and Sagittarius though."
"If Scorpio doesn't already know."
"When is there anything that she doesn't know?"
"Almost never."
Aries smirked. "When we all moved in the house, remember how they didn't let Gemini and Capricorn share a room since they're dating? We're breaking that rule."
"It's not like they can kick us out of our room now."
"Gemini and Capricorn cuddle a lot in the pillow room anyway."
"Do you want to go to the training room later? I have scheduled lessons with Scorpio and you should get used to training again."
"I probably should build my stamina back up again."
"You need to be ready to face the alternates."
"They told you about the alternates?"
"Yeah."
"I think your alternate is my favourite so far."
"Nobody seems to really hate him. Despite stalking us for a while."
"When we bought the mansion we ran out of money. Someone anonymously refilled out bank accounts. I'm pretty sure it was him."
"Because if we ran out of money, we'd need to get jobs, and it's easier to spy on us if we're not working."
"Exactly."

"How do I cook lasagna?" asked Gemini. Gemini and Cancer lost a bet to Taurus, so they had to cook supper.
Taurus sighed. "Maybe I should just make it myself. That way it'll turn out right."
"I found the pasta!" Cancer pulled a box of lasagna strips out of the cupboard. "They're hard and crunchy, how do they turn into lasagna?"
"You boil them in water." Taurus collected vegetables from the fridge. "Just get a big pot and fill it with hot water, then let it boil on the stove."
"Won't the lasagna strips be all wet then?"
"You use a strainer to let the water drain."
"I knew that," smirked Gemini.
Cancer threw a piece of raw pasta at Gemini.
"I'll fry up the ground beef," volunteered Gemini.
Taurus set up the curing board, starting to cut some of the vegetables. "Let's see if Scorpio wants to cook in her pink chef outfit that Gem made her wear."
"Pink chef outfit?" asked Gemini.
"She lost a dare, so Gem made her wear a ridiculous outfit."
"I wish I was there."
"How much raw pasta do I put in?" asked Cancer.
Taurus shrugged. "Capricorn usually measures the pasta. There's 13 of us, so maybe put in two boxes."
"If I burn my hand, can I stay home from school tomorrow?" smirked Gemini.
Taurus shrugged. "Just pretend I didn't see anything."
Cancer rolled his eyes. "You shouldn't encourage him."
Taurus chuckled as she threw a slice of raw tomato at Cancer. "I do whatever I want."
Cancer furrowed his brow as he picked the tomato out of his hair, before throwing it back at Taurus.
Taurus laughed and threw the tomato back at Cancer.
"That poor wasted tomato," sighed Gemini. Cancer threw the tomato at him.
Gemini was about to throw it back, when Taurus held up a mushroom as a tiny shield.
"Do we have to put mushroom in the lasagna?" Cancer cringed as he looked at it.
"It gives the lasagna flavour." Taurus began cutting it up.
"Gross flavour maybe."
"You don't taste the mushrooms." Gemini gently stirred the ground beef, the tomato casually resting on his shoulder.
"Why am I cutting vegetables if you guys are supposed to cook?" asked Taurus. "Wait, it's because I don't trust you guys not to slice your fingers off."
Gemini pretended to look offended. "We're not fire signs. We are capable of being slightly responsible."
"Wait, I can't finish cooking because I have to do something!" Cancer turned to leave but vines tied around his feet.
"You can't wait to cook supper for everyone?" Taurus smiled. "Thanks Cancer!"
"I don't understand how you do this almost everyday," sighed Cancer.
Gemini picked a piece of ground beef out of the frying pan and ate it, making weird faces as the hot meat burned his mouth.
Taurus face palmed. "I think I'm starting to miss my cooking buddy."

Scorpio was playing with Cheeto when an alarm notified her that someone was in her room. Scorpio checked the cameras, before sliding down her water slide. When she reached the bottom, instead of sinking underwater, Scorpio used her powers to slide across the pool surface.
Capricorn blinked. "Why don't I get cool powers like that?'
Scorpio stood up, and walked over to Capricorn. "Why are you in my room?"
"I wanted to ask for your opinion."
"On what?"
Capricorn stuck his hands in his pockets. "I think I should get a gift for everyone. A present since we're all graduating together."
"What kind of present?"
Capricorn shrugged. "Maybe I could get little snow globes for everyone. I saw some cute snow gloves that had little graduation hats and stuff."
"I think everyone would like that."
"I'll go after supper."
Scorpio titled her head. "You look like there's something bothering you."
Capricorn shrugged. "There's nothing bothering me."
"Is it about prom?'
"No."
"Why is prom bothering you?"
Capricorn's cheeks turned red. He forgot that he was trying to lie to Scorpio, who is a human lie detector. "I'm nervous."
"About what?"
"Prom is supposed to be a special night, but I'm worried I'll accidentally ruin it somehow. Like I'll trip when I'm dancing or something."
"When I start to dance, I'll ruin prom for anyone watching anyway."
Capricorn chuckled. "I don't want to mess it up."
"I can name at least five people who are more likely to embarrass themselves."
"Even if they embarrass themselves, I don't want to embarrass Gemini."
Scorpio patted Capricorn's head. "One mistake won't ruin anything. If you do something embarrassing by accident, it won't really matter. Unless you spill the punch or something like that."
"Okay. I'm not as nervous anymore."
Scorpio smirked. "What aren't you telling me?"
"There's nothing else."
"I don't know if I've ever seen you look so stressed in your life."
"Being stressed doesn't mean there's something I'm not telling you."
"I can always tell when people are hiding things. What are you hiding?"
"It's a secret."
"I keep secrets all the time."
"..."
"..."
"Maybe a second opinion wouldn't be so bad." Capricorn sighed and whispered his plan to Scorpio.

After supper, Capricorn walked into the living room. He was headed to the mall to find those snow globes he wanted.
"Where are you going?" asked Gem who sat on the couch. Pisces sat beside her, playing a game on his phone.
"Shopping."
"Can I come?"
"I was just going to go alone, but if you want you can help me find what I'm looking for."
"What are we looking for?"
"It's a secret. I'm buying a gift for everyone."
"Can I come too?" asked Pisces.
"If you're ready to leave right now."
Gem and Pisces jumped up from the couch, following Capricorn out to the car. Pisces beat Gem to the passenger seat, so she frowned and climbed in the back.
"What are we getting at the mall?" asked Gem.
"Snow globes," replied Capricorn. "I saw some cute snow globes to give everyone since we're graduating. The have little diplomas and graduation hats inside."
"So it's to keep as a keepsake?" asked Pisces.
"Yeah. For when everyone moves out."
Gem smiled. "I like that idea."

After carefully putting the box of thirteen snow globes in the trunk, Capricorn drove home.
"When do we get them?" asked an impatient Gem.
"I'll give them out after the last day of school," replied Capricorn.
"Wait, earlier Libra said she needed fish food for her fish." Pisces scratched his head. "We should pick some up along the way home."
Capricorn nodded. "Call her and ask what kind of fish food she needs."

Scorpio was in the art room with Libra when her phone rang.
"Can you answer that for me?" asked Libra. "My hands are full of paint."
Scorpio put down the drawing she was making for art class and answered Libra's phone.
To be fair, Scorpio didn't realize what would happen. She just did as she was told without questioning it.
"Hey," said Pisces.
"This is Scorpio."
"What kind of fish food does Libra need for her fish?"
Scorpio turned to face Libra. "What kind of food do you need for your fish?"
Libra put her paintbrush down. "Tell him I'll send a picture. I just have to wash my hands first."
"She just has to wash her hands, then she'll send a picture."
"Alright. We just came back from... what the fuck?"
The last thing Scorpio heard through the phone was Gem's ear splitting scream before a loud crash. She didn't hear anything else after that.
Scorpio fell to the ground, unable to say anything as she dropped Libra's phone.
Libra's face paled, she heard the scream and the crash. "What happened?" She dove for her phone. "Hello? Why aren't they answering?"
Scorpio stared at the wall ahead of her, not saying anything.
"Why aren't they answering?" Libra's eyes widened in panic.
Scorpio blinked. She really hated herself in that moment.

Trigger Warning!!! The next part describes what happened after the car crash. If you're sensitive to that stuff, be careful reading, and skip to the last 8 lines if you have to
Libra ran into the hospital, Scorpio following her. She quickly searched for a doctor, or anyone that could tell her if her friends were alright.
A doctor walked out of a room, sighing in relief.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for my family." Libra approached the doctor.
"Your family?"
"Yes. Did you have anyone rushed here after a car crash?'
The doctor nodded. "Who are you looking for?"
"They're three teenagers-"
"I just checked up on one of them, actually. Here." He led them into an office to speak privately. "The blond one seems alright. The airbag saved him from any real damage. The other two weren't as well off."
Libra felt her breath catch in her throat, but she still managed to ask "what happened to the others?"
"The girl hit her head off the seat in front of her. She's light headed and has a terrible headache, but she doesn't seem to show any signs of brain damage or anything serious. We still have to do more testing on her, but nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. The driver was the worst off."
Libra wasn't able to speak, so Scorpio asked "is he okay?"
"His airbag didn't function, and he was ejected from the vehicle through the front windshield. They have to remove pieces of glass and give him a few stitches, but he'll be alright."
Libra fell to the ground and sobbed from relief.
"You guys should probably go wait in the waiting room."
"How did the accident happen?" asked Scorpio.
"A car was trying to pass another car in their lane. They didn't have enough time to move until the two cars collided."
"Thank you." Libra stood up, walking back to the waiting room with Scorpio.
"If I didn't answer the phone-"
"It has nothing to do with you."
"These curses only happen when I'm involved. My curse is to watch everyone suffer one by one!"
"Then it would have happened some other time. If you didn't answer the phone today, something else would have happened later on."
Scorpio nodded slowly. "He said they're okay. That's all I needed to know."
