No More Ghosts in the Hospital
"I think we need to take him to the hospital again!"
Gemini woke up. Libra stood by the door to his room while Cancer stood by his bed. They got up early to check up on him.
"Why?" Libra rushed over.
"He has weird spots on his neck!" Cancer pointed to the hickeys on Gemini's neck.
Libra chuckled. "I don't think the fever caused those."
Cancer furrowed his brow before widening his eyes. "WAIT-"
Aquarius got out of bed and walked over. "Someone's been active."
Gemini frowned at everyone, pulling the blankets up to cover his neck. "Can I wake up without everyone being in my room? Except Aquarius since he's my roommate."
"How are you felling today?" asked an unfazed Libra.
Aquarius removed the blanket and applied pressure to one of Gemini's hickeys. Gemini sat up and put Aquarius in a headlock.
Cancer blinked. "He seems to be doing a lot better."
"He's been sick for a week now." Libra put the thermometer in Gemini's mouth after getting him to let go of Aquarius. "Your body temperature is back to normal."
Gemini sighed. "That means I have to go back to school tomorrow, doesn't it?"
"Aww no more cuddle sessions while we're all at school." Aquarius made a kissy face. "Or make out sessions."
Gemini twisted Aquarius' ear. "I'll knock you out and push you off the roof."
"You'll probably have to spend today and tomorrow catching up on homework." Cancer smiled reassuringly. "We took notes for you in all your classes. We even got Olive to take history notes for you since Capricorn also missed a week of history."
"But he didn't miss out on chemistry," smirked Aquarius.
Gemini got out of bed and playfully chased Aquarius around the room.
"You need to rest!" Libra grabbed Gemini's wrist, making him stop. "You can't go running around just because you're no longer feeing sick."
Aquarius stuck his tongue at Gemini.
"Can you hit him for me then?" asked Gemini.
Libra sighed and playfully hit Aquarius's stomach.
"Since you're alright, I'll go do some of the other stuff I have to do today." Cancer headed towards the door.
"Other stuff?" asked Libra.
"Important stuff." Cancer closed the door behind him.
Aquarius smirked. "I think I have a turtle neck for you to borrow."
"Come on Aqua, leave him alone." Libra decided to go back downstairs since Gemini was feeling better.
Aquarius followed, not having anything else to do.

Scorpio and Leo fought behind their house. Using weapons made of fire and water, they trained against each other.
Leo shot a fireball at Scorpio.
Scorpio rolled out of the way and made a blast of water suddenly shoot out of the ground.
Leo dodged it, and aimed her fire sword at Scorpio.
Scorpio ducked and positioned her water spear towards Leo's heart. "I win."
Leo sighed and sat on the ground. "You always beat me so quickly."
Scorpio sat beside Leo, making her water spear turn into regular water that fell towards the grass. "I beat everyone quickly."
"It's good that I started training with you then. I want to beat my alternate."
Scorpio immediately turned towards Leo. "Who told you about the alternates?"
"I can't tell you."
"You probably got Aquarius to tell you. He'd tell you anything."
"What do you mean?"
"Just because you lost your memory, doesn't make you any better at playing dumb."
"I'm starting to think he likes me."
Scorpio remained expressionless. "He has a soft spot for you."
"I wonder if he'll ask me to prom."
"If he asks, will you agree?"
"I don't know."
"Why?"
"Something doesn't feel right. I find him very attractive and I enjoy being friends with him, so there's no reason to not want to go with him, but something just feels off. Like there's something important that I forgot."
Scorpio stopped her eyebrows from shooting up. "Perhaps it involved Aries?"
"Maybe I promised I wouldn't go to prom with a date unless she had one too or something like that. Or maybe we agreed not to go with dates and hang out instead?"
"You think you're hesitant to want to go to prom with him, because you think you might have promised something with Aries?"
Leo furrowed her brow. "Maybe I'm just afraid that I did. Other that that there's no reason not to go to prom with him."
"Assuming he asks you."
"Yeah."
"Aries didn't tell me anything about any promises or anything. I'm not going to be biased, do what you want to do. If you want to go to prom with him, do it. If you're not sure, you don't have to."
"I wish Aries would wake up so I could discuss it with her first."
"She'd want you to be happy." Scorpio sighed, knowing Aries always only wanted Leo to be happy. "Even if you agreed on something, if you want to go with Aquarius, she'd want you to."
"Aries sounds like a good friend."
"She is."

Capricorn and Gem were setting up pranks in Gemini's room.
"Let's put the whoopee cushion in his bed." Gem placed a whoopee cushion under the blankets.
"Where does the confetti bomb go?" Capricorn carefully placed a motion activated confetti bomb in Gemini's closet.
"The play dough dog poop can go on his carpet."
"The fake spider is going in the washroom."
"The Gemini can go under the bed."
"What?" Gem looked under the bed to see that Gemini was hiding there the entire time.
"Why are you hiding under your bed?" asked Capricorn.
Gemini climbed out and sat on his bed, making sure he didn't sit on the whoopee cushion. He wore a turtle neck that was a little too big for him. "I heard someone coming so I hid under my bed. I thought it was Libra so I was going to scare her."
"Is that Aquarius' shirt?" Gem smirked. "Why are you wearing Aquarius' turtle neck?"
Gemini glanced at Capricorn. "I'm cold."
Gem reached for the turtle neck.
Gemini grabbed her hand. "What are you doing?"
"It's suspicious that you're wearing a turtle neck. I want to see what you're hiding."
"None of your business."
Gem smirked. "Capricorn, do you know what he's hiding on his neck?"
Capricorn shrugged. "Probably the hickies."
Gemini sighed. "I don't have hickies!"
"Cap, does he have hickies?"
"Yeah."
"Really?" Gemini glanced at Capricorn who looked at him with an innocent expression.
Gem walked back over to Capricorn. "He's got to keep his future sister in-law happy."
"Please never refer to yourself as a future in-law again."
"Why not?"
"That's thinking a little too far into the future for right now."
"What do we do will all these pranks since Gemini knows about them?" asked Capricorn.
"Why were you guys pranking me in the first place?"
"Because we love you," replied Gem.
"Well we should at least put them to use and prank Libra." Gemini picked up the whoopee cushion.
"Yeah!" Gem and Capricorn cheered in unison as they cleaned the pranks in Gemini's room.
"I planted a confetti bomb though." Capricorn pointed to a drawer. "It's in there and I already activated it, so it will go off when it detects motion, such as opening the drawer."
"Where did you get a confetti bomb?" Gemini walked towards the dresser.
"I made it. My country specialized in technology."
Gem snuck towards the drawer and ripped it open. Confetti exploded everywhere.
"At least it's pretty." Gemini grabbed a few pieces of confetti from mid-air.
"Confetti angels!" Gem got down on her back and started moving her arms and legs, creating a confetti angel.
Capricorn grabbed a few pieces and threw them at Gemini.
Gemini grinned and grabbed a handful of confetti to throw back at Capricorn.
Gem decided she also wanted to join the confetti war, and threw confetti at both of them.

Aquarius was sitting peacefully in the comfort room when Pisces walked in with Handsome.
"Handsome likes the park." Pisces changed the scenery from Aquarius' old country to a park. Handsome ran around, thinking he was actually in a park.
"Did you come here and find me by coincidence, or were you looking for me?"
Pisces sat beside Aquarius. "Maybe a bit of both."
"Okay."
"Who are you going to prom with? Leo?"
"I haven't asked her yet."
"Okay. You should."
Aquarius squinted his eyes. "Why do you sound relieved?"
"I'm not."
"You are."
"I'm nosy."
"You're glad I'm not asking Sagittarius."
Pisces' eyes widened. "That's not true!"
"I see the way you look at her."
"I want to go with her, but I don't really want to ask her yet."
"How did you start to like her?"
Pisces shrugged. "I kinda do pranks with her, Cancer, and Gem. I started to get along with her, and I just kind of grew attached to her."
"Do you think you stand a chance with her?"
"I don't know. She's so energetic, curious and clever, but she's also really kind. I'm just the guy who gets kicked out of group chats for being immature."
"You see yourself that way, but others see the other sides of you too. You have a dog. That shows you're caring."
"Yeah but there's nothing other than that."
"Sagittarius just likes someone she can be around who won't try to slow her down. If you can keep up with her, she'll keep you close. Like you see how Gem is always helping her with pranks, they work well together and do crazy stuff together, that's why they get along so well. I get along well with Sagittarius because our personalities are opposites. I stay out of trouble, but I'll help her out of detention. I discovered the secret lair, but I haven't told anyone. I don't tell the other about her pranks either, unless she's trying to do something really stupid. She gets along with Aries because they're like twins."
"So I just have to get along with her?"
"Her personality is so crazy that it's hard to find someone that gets along with her completely. She's weird and random and annoying, but she's really kind hearted."
"So I should try to show more kindheartedness?"
"Don't change your personality at all. If you have to change to get her to like you, then she's not meant for you in the first place."
"You're so wise." Pisces hugged his knees. "Then I should try to spend more time with her, but not act differently or try too hard?"
"Exactly."
"Even if I go with her as her friend, I'll be happy."

Later on that evening, Taurus was painting in the art room when a paper plane flew in through the open window. It was obviously carried on an air current in order to land perfectly in a room several floors off the ground.
Taurus wheeled over to the window and looked down. Nobody was there.
She sighed and unfolded the plane. A note was written on it.
Dear Taur Taur,
I want to write something poetic but I suck at poetry. I really suck at poetry. The sky looks pretty at sunset, and so do you. Come meet me outside, unless you have something better to do. Sorry, I really tried my best. Don't keep me waiting!
-your favourite crab
Taurus smiled as she read Cancer's letter. Somehow, she found it cute how hard he tried. She put the letter in a drawer in her desk so it wouldn't get thrown away before getting ready to go outside.
***
Not finding anyone in the front yard, Taurus pushed the wheels on her wheelchairs towards the backyard. When she got there, she saw Cancer standing by the cliff that overlooked the ocean. The sky was various shades of red, orange, yellow, pink, and blue. He was dressed nicely with his hair neatly styled. He held a multicoloured rose in his hands, which almost shook from nervousness.
Taurus approached Cancer until she was sitting in front of him. "You look fancy."
Cancer's face turned red as he tried to remember what he rehearsed fifty times in his head. "I have a question."
"What's the question?"
Cancer's face turned even more red as he got down on one knee and held out the rose. "Will you do me the honour of going to prom with me?"
"You look like you're proposing."
Cancer quickly stood up, looking even more flustered. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I just want to ask to make sure you still want to go with me."
Taurus pretended she was deep in thought. "I'll think about it."
"Okay." Cancer smiled widely to hide the disappointment in his face.
"I'm kidding! Of course I'll go to prom with you."
Cancer's jaw dropped. "Why do you always mess with me in situations like this, when I'm already really nervous?"
Taurus shrugged. "It's fun. You could actually propose and I'll still keep you on your toes."
Cancer chuckled. "I kind of like being teased by you. But it scares the shit out of me. I thought you were seriously reconsidering."
"Why wouldn't I go to prom with you? You're my boyfriend." Taurus smiled and took the rose from Cancer, gently laying it in her lap.
"My anxiety makes me worry sometimes."
"My feelings haven't changed. I still love you. I'll always love you."
Cancer smirked. "I love you more."
"That's impossible."
"Well, its extra impossible for you to like me more than I like you."
"I don't like you, I love you."
"You know what I meant."
"Maybe it's equal." Taurus grabbed Cancer's hand to pull him closer. "I think I'm almost the same height as you now that I'm sitting in a wheel chair."
Cancer sighed. "You never give poor little Cancer a break, do you?"
"I tease you so much because you get so flustered. It's cute."
"I like it when you tease me because when you smile it looks so pretty. You look pretty too, not just your smile."
Taurus laughed. "You're so awkward. I love it."
"That's a compliment, I think."
Taurus pulled Cancer into a hug. "Want to go play some video games? I'll beat you at Mario kart."
Cancer pulled away, leaving his face inches from Taurus'. "Maybe."
Taurus smirked before kissing Cancer. "How about now?"
Cancer smirked back. "I think I'm a little more convinced now. However, I may need a little more motivation."
"Someone's greedy for kisses."
"I'm not greedy... I just... really like them."
"In that case, you can have as many as you want," said Taurus before leaning in for another kiss.

Sagittarius sat in her usual seat in the hospital. She was starting to worry since Aries had only been in a coma for half as long last time. She wouldn't give up on her though, not even if her heart monitor stopped.
Aries, however, already gave up a long time ago. Her ghost was lying face first on the floor, having been in the same position for hours. "Unplug everything. I want this to end. Just unplug my oxygen and stuff. I'd rather be dead than be half alive in a ghost form. I can't sleep, I can't stop existing as a ghost, I'm stuck in this stupid hospital room, and I'm aware of it every single second. I'm starting to go mad."
Sagittarius grabbed Aries' hand. "I hope you wake up soon. You're not allowed to leave me."
"You'll leave me though. Even though I can't blame you for eventually leaving to go home, I still get lonely when you guys aren't here."
"I found some cool new songs. I'll play some for you." Sagittarius pulled her phone out of her pocket and played music. "This one is my favourite."
Aries was too depressed to care. She wanted to enjoy the music, but her emotions were too numb. She couldn't feel anything. She couldn't even care if she died or not at this point. She was just tired of being aware of every passing second with nothing to do. "Unplug me."
Not being able of hear her, Sagittarius sighed. "I had a dream a few days ago that you woke up from your coma. I hope it's a sign that you'll wake up soon. I have a feeling that something will happen soon, I just hope it's something good at not something bad."
"I could tell you stuff that I'd never say out loud. You can't hear me anyway. Nobody heard me a few weeks ago when I told them all my secrets then either."
"You're fighting to wake up, right? If you're aware, I'm sure you're trying your best to wake up. Of course you are, you're too stubborn not to."
"I think I loathe the colour white. That's all I see in this piece of shit of a hospital."
"I know you're doing everything you can to wake up and come back to me."
"I used to, but there's no point." Aries got up and sat on the bed. "I just want to die. I don't think I'll wake up, let me die."
"You're like a sister to me. I can't even think of losing you."
Aries was caught off guard for a second. "I'm sorry. I don't think I'll wake up. I don't want to put you through all that pain, but I would have woken up by now."
"In a way, this is a test of strength. It shows you can be trapped in a coma for a month, and still fight to wake up."
"I used to want to wake up. Now I just want to stop being a ghost."
"I still haven't given up. Even if it's been a month, I still think you can do it."
"You're starting to make me want to wake up again."
"Our sugar gliders miss you. Everyone misses you. Prom is in a few weeks, you can't make me go to prom without my best friend, will you?"
"Aquarius and Gem are your other best friends. I'm not that important."
A sad song played from the phone.
"Nobody can replace you. Prom won't be complete unless all my best friends are there."
"I hope Leo has fun at prom. Make sure she has fun if she goes with Aquarius."
Sagittarius wiped tears from her eyes and she sobbed into the hospital bed, one hand still holding Aries' hand. "I miss you so much. Wake up already."
Aries wrapped her ghost arms around Sagittarius. "You're... really not making it easy to want to die."
"I'll kick your ass in the afterlife if you die on me. Actually, it's illegal for you to die on me. It's a new government law, I approved it myself."
"Stop crying! I hate hearing you cry." Aries tried to wipe the tears from Sagittarius' face. "If only I could wake up and comfort her."
As if she heard Aries, Sagittarius said, "I won't stop crying until you wake up."
Aries blinked as she started to feel weak. "Stop... crying."
"I'll wait overnight in this hospital if I have to. I'll hide in the washroom."
"Am I dying? I'm... sorry." Aries smiled and kissed Sagittarius' forehead before her ghost disappeared.
Sagittarius finally stopped crying, and squeezed Aries' hand.
She nearly died from shock as she felt a squeeze back.

Libra was getting something to eat before going to sleep. She opened the door to the kitchen, and smiled at Virgo.
"Getting a snack before going to sleep?" Virgo stopped scooping ice cream in a bowl for himself to notice Libra.
"Don't eat ice cream before going to sleep. It's not healthy."
"You can have some if you want."
"I just wanted to get a bowl of blueberries." Libra opened the cupboard to get a bowl before she opened the fridge to find the blueberries.
Virgo closed the ice cream container and put it back in the fridge. "It's French vanilla."
"Je non want Français vanilla ice cream."
"I don't speak French but that definitely didn't sound right."
Libra chuckled, putting the empty blueberry container in the garbage. "Lucky me. I get the last blueberries."
"If you have your blueberries, then why are you lingering here?"
"Why are you also lingering if you have your ice cream?"
Virgo smirked. "I'm just about to leave."
"I've been thinking though."
"What?"
Libra smiled shyly. "We should go to prom together."
Virgo blinked. "Wha-"
"As friends!"
"Friends?"
"If neither of us get a date, we should go with each other. Of course it'll be platonically so we won't have to go to prom by ourselves."
"We'll still be with the others-"
"They'll all be busy though."
"I don't think they'll all have dates, but we could go together as friends anyway."
"Except we'll still dance together and stuff."
"Sounds like you want to be my date."
"Your platonic-best friend-friendship date!"
"You really like the words friendship and platonic."
"So, deal?"
Virgo smirked. "Alright, deal."
"But there's one more thing." Libra stepped closer to Virgo.
"What is it?" asked Virgo.
Libra smirked and kissed Virgo's cheek. "That's payback for kissing my forehead however long ago."
Virgo blushed. "Wait. That wasn't-"
"Goodnight Virgo." Libra left the kitchen with her bowl of blueberries.
Virgo's hand moved to the spot where Libra kissed his cheek. He couldn't stop the butterflies in his stomach, the desire for more.
