Aries, Gem, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces sat around the coffee table in their secret lair at 5 in the morning. They decided to work together to prank the others.

Gem picked up the blueprints and glanced over them again. "So we have to prank the others without getting caught?"

"What happens if they catch us?" asked Pisces.

Scorpio shrugged. "You face Libra's wrath."

Sagittarius sighed. "The last time I faced Libra's wrath was a few weeks ago. Me, Gem, Pisces, and Cancer had to replace all the sofa cushions with Scorpio sitting on top of them."

Aries looked at her suspiciously. "And you behaved since?"

"We just didn't get caught since."

"What happens if we turn on each other?" asked Leo.

Scorpio dragged one finger across her throat. "You die."

Sagittarius laughed nervously. "She's joking... right?"

Without answering, Scorpio lifted Cheeto into her lap. "Let's go over everything one more time."

Virgo woke up and decided to prank everyone for April fools.

Virgo: Are you guys ready to go to school?

Cancer: there's no school today

Virgo: yes there is

Cancer: do you see the weather outside?

Taurus: I checked the school website. There's no school

Capricorn: Virgo and Libra are still the worst prankers

Libra: OMG MY FISH DIED!!!

Taurus: ...

Libra: APRIL FOOLS 😁

Cancer: nobody fell for that

Scorpio: I didn't think it was this possible to be so bad at pranking

Taurus: maybe they should go to another pranking camp

Scorpio: that's a good idea

Libra: no it's not

Virgo: Libra and I decided to quit the zodiac. We're running away to live normal lives where we won't get bullied

Pisces: I figured they were going to elope sooner or later

Pisces was kicked from the chat

Aquarius left the chat

Sagittarius: why does he always do this

Aquarius was added to the chat

Leo: bestie Aqua is going to stay and talk to us... right?

Aquarius: YEAH

Aquarius: April fools! I actually don't want to leave the chat

Aquarius: haha

Sagittarius: wtf

Gem: I didn't know it would be so easy

Aquarius: I'm not staying because Leo asked

Aquarius: I just want to keep talking today

Aquarius was kicked from the chat

Sagittarius: I'll kill whoever kicked him from the chat

Aquarius was added to the chat

Gemini: gem get out of my room

Gem: I'm not pranking you

Gem: I'm admiring your bathroom

Aquarius: it's okay guys. We just locked her out of our room and confiscated her glitter

Scorpio: isn't that a little too obvious?

Gemini: WAIT

Virgo: what's all that screaming?

Aquarius: That's Gemini. Some loser just ambushed us and covered our room in silly string

Cancer: Pisces told me to send this: you're the losers, not me

Libra: that's right... keep pranking them and leave me alone

Sagittarius: you want the best pranks saved for you? Okay 😘

Libra: I have a cage in my room waiting for you guys

Aries: what cage?

Libra: WHO BROKE INTO MY ROOM AND STOLE MY CAGE?!?

Leo: ATTACK

Libra: VIRGO

Virgo: what did you guys do

Libra: hi bestie Virgo! I have a surprise for you in the living room

Virgo: guys give Libra her phone back

Libra: NO

Virgo: I swear if I go down there and find Libra locked in a cage...

Virgo walked downstairs. He sighed when he saw Libra sitting in a cage, on top of the coffee table.

Libra pouted. "They snuck up on me."

"How do I get you out of here?" Virgo looked around for a key.

"Gem has it."

"Then I'll find her."

"You have to catch me first."

Virgo turned around to see Gem standing in the elevator before the doors closed.

Virgo glanced at the panel on the wall. She's going to the second floor.

"Where are you going?" asked Libra as Virgo ran out of the house.

"I'm going to take a shortcut."

Aquarius put his earbuds in his ears before sitting on a weight lifting machine. He was doing his daily workout in the exercise room.

Aquarius was so focused, he didn't notice anyone sneak into the room.

After lifting weights and using machines for building arm muscle, he decided to do some cardio to give his arm muscles a break. Aquarius started jogging on the treadmill, quickly getting into the rhythm. When he started running out of breath, he closed his eyes to focus on the music. That's when suddenly the treadmill started getting faster.

Aquarius' eyes snapped open in panic as he was suddenly launched off the treadmill. A wind wall caught him before he crashed into the wall.

"It's not very smart to be so unaware of your surroundings."

Aquarius looked up to see Aries smirking at him. "Trying to pick off the competition?"

"I knew your wind walls would catch you before you got hurt. I'm just pranking you since we're friends now."

"Since when are we friends?"

"Aren't we all friends?"

"You know what I mean."

"About two or three weeks ago you came to talk to me."

"And?"

"I decided that since we both like Leo, we can bond over it and become friends."

"What's your ulterior motive?"

"I just want more friends. You're also friends with Sagittarius, so now you're my friend too."

"What if I don't want to be your friend?"

"You're not allowed to refuse to be my friend. I don't make the rules."

"I still don't know why you want to be my friend."

Aries shrugged. "Because I won't get jealous over you dating Leo if you're my friend. I want all my friends to be happy, even if it doesn't make me happy."

Aquarius sighed. "You're an interesting person."

"People usually just call me crazy."

"Look, you don't have to try to be my best friend. She doesn't even like me."

"She likes someone."

"How do you know that?"

"I just do."

"We do have a best friend in common. Fine. We can be friends."

"Great! Now come help me set up some pranks!"

"I'm in the middle of working out."

Aries walked out the door. "Then come help me when you're finished."

Aquarius sighed. What did he just get himself into?

"How does it feel to be locked in a cage?"

Libra glared at Sagittarius. "This isn't funny."

"Of course it is!" Pisces sat on the couch, facing Libra.

"You always lock us in cages," shrugged Sagittarius. "How does it feel to be the one in the cage?"

Libra turned around so that her back was facing them.

"Rude." Sagittarius turned the cage back around.

"You're going to live the rest of your life in that cage," tormented Pisces.

Libra shrugged. "You guys are so dead when I get out."

"Maybe we should keep her in there until Easter break," suggested Sagittarius.

Pisces nodded. "It's only a week or two away."

Libra took her socks off and threw them at Sagittarius and Pisces. Suddenly everyone heard screaming.

"What's that noise?" asked Sagittarius. "Oh yeah. It's just everyone being pranked."

Libra decided to lie down and try to fall asleep. She made a bunch of air swirl around her in the shape of a bubble to block out all the noise.

Sagittarius pouted. "We can't torment her if she can't hear us."

Pisces stood up and walked towards the elevator. "Let's go pick on someone else then."

"Yeah. Let's go find Cancer and see if he'll help us."

Virgo walked into the movie room. This was the only room on the second floor he didn't check yet.

Virgo walked up through the theatre style seats, not knowing if he was going to find anyone.

Virgo paused when he heard a loud disgusting noise. He looked down to see that he stepped on a whoopee cushion.

Now I know she's here.

Virgo continued searching for Gem, this time with caution.

He accidentally walked over a trip wire. Suddenly a bunch of sparkles fell from a trap on the ceiling.

"Gem, can you just give me the key already?" Virgo reached the back and turned around. He thought there was nobody there until he saw Gem standing on the stage in front of the big screen.

Gem looked around with her arms behind her back. "It's weird that we always use the living room to watch movies when we have a mini theatre. I think everyone just likes cuddling next to each other, to be honest."

Virgo knew the way he just came was rigged with new traps, so he decided to climb over the seats.

Gem sighed. "Libra's going to get mad when she finds out you're stepping on all the seats. But then again you're not wearing shoes, so maybe she wouldn't care as much."

Virgo stood in front of the stage, looking up. "Can I have the key back?"

"You want the key back? Of course you can have it back."

Virgo squinted his eyes.

"If you can catch me." Gem hopped off the stage and ran. Suddenly, vines grew out of the floor and wrapped around her feet.

Virgo reached for the hands Gem kept clasped behind her back. He took the key before making the vines shrink back into the floor.

Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio were in the art room. Taurus was working on a new collage while Leo and Scorpio painted.

Taurus glanced at the other two suspiciously. "Why aren't you guys setting up pranks?"

"We already set up a bunch of pranks. We're just waiting for someone to fall for them," replied Scorpio.

"What did the others fall for so far?" asked Taurus.

Leo paused. "We locked Libra in a cage, we put milk in Cancer's shampoo, we filled Gemini and Aquarius' room with balloons after they left, and we covered the kitchen floor in butter."

"We didn't get caught doing any of them except locking Libra in the cage," added Scorpio.

"We also put glitter all over Capricorn's clothes. Gem is taking care of Virgo."

Taurus wheeled over to the window. "I'm glad the snowstorm is starting to die down. I don't like having this kind of weather in April."

Leo sighed. "But the sooner the snow goes away, the sooner it'll be summer."

"I didn't think I'd ever dread summer so much," groaned Taurus. "I can't even go to the beach anymore."

"We could wheel you into the water," suggested Leo.

Taurus shook her head. "There's no point."

"All we have to do is see if there's a way to reverse the curse," reassured Scorpio. "If someone can put a curse on us, she might be able to take away all the side effects."

"I don't know if my paraplegia can be cured."

"They might develop a cure for paraplegia!" added Leo. "Libra's country is always developing new medicines that are in the testing phase. They could develop something to help repair the connection between your spinal cord and the surrounding neurons."

Taurus wheeled back over to her desk. "I have a feeling the next curse will hit soon."

"Why?" asked Leo.

Scorpio nodded. "I think it'll happen very soon. It's been too long since Virgo started hallucinating."

Leo's hand shook. She carefully put her paintbrush down. "I'm scared."

Scorpio hugged Leo. "It's okay. If you do get hit next, at least you know you won't have the worst one."

"I can't imagine anything worst than not being able to use your legs," muttered Taurus. "Other than death."

"You didn't deserve go get hit so hard by the curse." Leo sighed. "I wish I could take your curse so you wouldn't have to suffer."

Taurus smiled. "No, I'm glad it's me instead of someone else. I hate this curse, but I wouldn't want someone else to have it instead. It really sucks not being able to move without my wheelchair, but I'm kind of getting used to it."

Scorpio frowned. But why do I have the feeling something bad will happen? I don't usually get this feeling before a curse hits.

Maybe this time it's going to be really bad again.

Cancer walked into the comfort room.

"Did you come here to hide from all the pranks too?" Capricorn was relaxing in the middle of the room. His clothes were covered in glitter. The surroundings were a bunch of hills.

"Pisces and Sagittarius are looking for me. I think they want to prank me, so I'm hiding from them."

"I don't think you'd find a scenery of hills as interesting as I do." Capricorn changed the scenery to underwater.

Cancer sat down. It really seemed like he was underwater. "How much longer until April fools is over?"

Capricorn checked the time on his phone. "A few more hours."

"I wish noon would hurry up."

"I thought you'd help the others with pranks."

"They started pranking me."

"I set up a few pranks, so now I'm just relaxing here."

"We should team up and prank the others."

"How?"

"We could annoy them."

"They'll just throw us in the cage with Libra."

"Let's bake something and put toothpaste in it," suggested Cancer.

"The others wouldn't trust random food no matter what day it is, let alone April fools."

"Then let's bake some truffles. That way nobody else will take any except us."

Capricorn grinned. "That's a great idea! We can even bake cheesecake without anyone taking any."

"They won't eat it later either since it was baked on April fools."

Capricorn headed for the door. "A bunch of dessert only for us. I think April fools is my new favourite day."

Gemini sat on the couch, facing Libra.

Libra yawned. "Virgo should return with the key soon."

"Where's the key?"

"With Gem."

"It may take a while to get it from her."

"What should I do after I get out of this cage?"

"Lock the others out of the house. Especially Gem and Capricorn."

"Why Capricorn?"

"Because he replaced my shaving cream with sour cream."

Libra chuckled. "At least I'd have enough sense to check my toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, and everything else before using them."

"I didn't think anyone would mess with my shaving cream."

Capricorn and Cancer suddenly walked towards the kitchen.

"What are you guys doing?" asked Libra.

"Baking treats," smiled Cancer. "We'll let you guys eat some when we're finished."

"I'm not eating treats full of whatever you're going to put in there."

Gemini smirked. "Nice try though."

Capricorn shrugged. "Your loss."

Libra sighed. "Do they think we're stupid?"

Gemini shrugged. "It's so early in the morning but it feels like I've been awake forever."

"I had a nap earlier so it still seems pretty early to me. I'm surprised they didn't dye anyone's hair."

"Noon isn't for another few hours."

"If they touch my hair, they're not going to like what happens next."

"You and Virgo suck at pranking, but when you try to get revenge, even I get worried."

Libra shrugged. "My spider friends might die soon if I don't use them. I have one big jar of spiders."

"Maybe that's where Gem gets all her dead spiders."

"What do you mean?"

"When her teachers give her a hard test, she bakes them cupcakes with dead spiders."

"That's a very Gem thing to do."

Virgo walked into the living room, holding a key.

"I'm saved!" cheered Libra.

Virgo unlocked the cage. "Should we lock the others in the cage now?"

Libra picked her cage up and walked over to the elevator with it. "I'll think of something better."

"You dropped something!" said Virgo.

Libra looked down. "Dropped what?"

"April fools."

Libra dropped the cage, and tackled Virgo.

Gemini sat back and watched.

Libra sat on Virgo's back and twisted his arms.

"LET ME GO! DON'T HURT ME! YOU LOVE ME TOO MUCH TO KILL ME!"

Libra shrugged. "Meh."

Gemini smirked. "You love Virgo. Don't you?"

Libra picked Virgo's socks off his feet and threw them at Gemini.

While Libra was distracted, Virgo managed to push Libra off of him. "I think I should put you back in the cage."

Libra pulled a bottle of hair dye out of her pocket. "Not unless you want dyed hair."

Gemini squinted his eyes. "You actually have hair dye? We talked about this a few minutes ago."

"Why do you have hair dye?" asked Virgo.

"We're going to dye someone's hair. Who should it be?"

Gemini stood up and slowly snuck into the kitchen.

"Isn't that a little too far?"

Libra smirked at Virgo. "I could always dye your hair."

"Put the dye away before someone else sees it."

"PRETTY!" Sagittarius ran past Libra, snatching the dye from her hands.

"You hold her down while I take the dye back," ordered Libra.

Sagittarius was almost to the elevator when she ran into a wind wall. Virgo held Sagittarius down while Libra took the dye back.

"Maybe we should give Sagittarius a new hair colour," smirked Virgo.

Sagittarius frowned. "You wouldn't do it."

Libra looked at the bottle. "The dye is ready to go."

Sagittarius took the bottle back from Libra. Shocking them both, she squeezed the dye in her own hair.

Virgo's jaw dropped. "Why would you do that?"

"Because you guys didn't expect me to. I don't want a random blob of dyed hair. Go get some gloves and dye the rest of my hair."

"Come into the kitchen," sighed Libra.

Sagittarius grinned as she followed Virgo and Libra into the kitchen. She had no idea what colour she just put in her hair.

A few hours later, Aries looked for Sagittarius. She was finished hanging out with Aquarius, and decided to ask Sagittarius for some advice.

Aries walked into the living room to find Sagittarius watching tv with her hair wrapped in a towel. Aries sat down beside her. "Did you just take a shower?"

"I took one earlier."

Aries frowned. "I smell dye."

"That's because Virgo and Libra dyed my hair. I don't know what colour it is yet."

Aries pulled the towel off of Sagittarius' head and gasped.

"What colour is it?" Sagittarius picked up a strand of hair.

"You look so different with blonde hair."

Sagittarius quickly unlocked her phone to use the camera as a mirror. "It's a natural blonde. I was scared that they bleached my hair."

Aries ran her fingers through Sagittarius' new hair. "It looks so natural. Blonde hair suits you."

"My eyebrows look dark, so it doesn't look too weird with blonde hair."

"Can I ask you something?"

"What's wrong?"

"I think I'll just tell Leo everything. That way at least I'll be honest with her."

"Are you sure? I don't think she'll get mad at you though."

"Yeah."

Sagittarius pulled Aries into a hug. "Whatever Leo says, you'll find someone amazing. I'll make sure that whoever you start dating is worthy of you. Otherwise I'll throw them off a cliff."

Aries laughed. "Thanks Sagittarius."

"I'll also throw Leo off a cliff if she says anything mean to you."

Scorpio suddenly walked out of the elevator.

"Can I tell Scorpio?" asked Sagittarius.

"Yeah. She already knows everything anyway."

"She's going to tell Leo everything!" whispered Sagittarius.

"Why?" asked Scorpio.

Aries shrugged. "I think if I tell her everything, then I can just stop worrying about it."

Scorpio smiled. "I'm glad you finally decided to say something. We're here for you, no matter how she reacts."

"Thanks guys!" Aries stumbled as she walked forward.

"Are you okay?" asked Sagittarius.

"I'm suddenly not feeling well." Aries fell on the ground.

"Did she pass out?" Sagittarius ran over to Aries. "I can't tell if she's breathing or not!"

Scorpio stared at Aries. Is her curse the same as Aquarius'? No, hers must be different. Scorpio quickly called the ambulance.

Sagittarius looked at Scorpio with wide eyes full of panic. "I DON'T KNOW IF SHE'S BREATHING!"

"She can't just die for her curse! There has to be something that's causing this."

"YOU'RE REALLY CALM RIGHT NOW!"

Scorpio wiped her sweaty palms on her pants. She appeared calm, but on the inside she was starting to panic. "She probably passed out. There's an ambulance coming."

Sagittarius' eyes widened. Her body froze as realization hit her. "She looks the same way she did when she was in a coma."

Scorpio shook her head. "She can't be in another coma. She can't go through that again."

After the ambulance arrived, Sagittarius refused to let go of her best friend. She even rode in the back of the ambulance with her.

Meanwhile, Scorpio sat down and stared at the wall. Why does this keep happening? Why do I always have to deal with this? I don't know how much more of this I can take. Why am I always the one watching my friends get hurt? When does it always happen while I'm there? I was there while Libra, Aquarius, Taurus, Virgo and Aries got hit with their curses. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ME?

Everyone except Aries and Sagittarius sat in the hospital waiting room. Sagittarius refused to leave Aries to the point where the doctors couldn't physically separate them, so they decided to let Sagittarius stay in the room while they figured out what's wrong.

Instead of waiting for an update from Sagittarius, Scorpio brought everyone to the waiting room so they could find out for themselves what happened.

Out of everyone, Leo seemed to be in the worst condition. She curled up in a ball and was completely spaced out. Even when the others waved a hand in front of her face.

After a while, a doctor approached them. Everyone immediately looked up at the doctor. Every second felt like a minute.

The doctor sighed. "She's alive... its just..."

"Just what?" asked Scorpio. She wasn't surprised when she heard the answer. Somehow, she already knew what it was before they even came here. Probably because Sagittarius said so earlier.

"She's in a coma. We don't know if she'll wake up or not."

That's the last thing Leo heard before she passed out.
