Flashback Day 3

     Aquarius' pov

I woke up with a horrible feeling down in my stomach, and a headache that burned a hole in my brain. I let out a groan, rubbed my eyes, and sat straight up.

Everything came back.

Last night had been a disaster. It became real terrible when Cap ran back into the room, screaming something about Libra who'd left off. I'd told Cancer to keep things down, and I silently left myself to try to talk to Lib. I think I've been knocking on his door and yelling to open up for about ten minutes and when I came back, I came back to a disaster. Half of the matrasses were gone – a crying Leo told me Capricorn, Gemini, Sag, Taurus and Aries had moved them over to Cap's room.

At last, Pisces, Cancer and Virgo decided to just go back to their own apartment, but when Gem caught something of that, she and Aries took off too, to "calmly be with just the three of them", as Gemini said, or, as Aries yelled after it, they were "too pissed about certain people keeping things behind for other certain people to stay". This of course earned me a lot of strange looks, but once the girls were gone, we realized what a mess it was. Virgo offered to help me clean, but I denied I needed help and he took off too. Finally, when Leo had stopped crying, she and I moved two of the matrasses back to my room and that's where we were right now.

Or actually, it was just me.

'Lee?' I asked, and I only now noticed how soft and tired I sounded when I actually said it. No response came, though, and I groaned as I pushed myself up. I let my hand rest on the doorknob for a few seconds, resting my case over the living room. How bad would it be? Well...

...it actually wasn't that bad. All of the matrasses were gone, the table was back in its place and most of the pillows were back on the couch. The only mess I could spot was on the couch; it was, without a doubt, my messy brother.

'Great, you actually cleaned a bit,' I stated, and I tried to clear my throat a bit by coughing softly. He looked up and smiled at me. 'Yeah, I thought you may have gone through enough last night, so I asked Sag and Taurus to help me a bit with trying to get the splatted zucchini-smush off the floor.'

'Oh, right,' I mumbled, as I remembered how, before the girls decided to leave, Gem made a threat true by throwing multiple zucchini's to Leo's head. Unfortunately, she was a great aimer and also partly the cause of Lee's cry.

I walked up to the couch and plopped down next to Cap, leaning against his shoulder while I let out a yawn. 'Thanks for showing you actually can be a good brother,' I muttered. 'You're welcome, sis,' he mumbled back and placed a kiss on my forehead.

'So, this turned out to be a horrible idea, hm? But I must say, the fact you weren't the one bursting out in tears, means you're finally going forward.' 'Finally?' I responded, to which Capricorn softly laughed. 'Alright, I get it. But you gotta give me this; that remark about Leo's period was amazing.'

'And my sweet, responsible brother is back to being the same jerk again,' I sighed, earning another laugh and a push from said-one and I smiled too. 'Just kidding. Why don't you make breakfast, I'll go check up on Lee real quick.' 'And you don't mind if I make pizzetthi for breakfast once?' he asked when I stood up and made my way to the hall. I tilted my head a bit, and turned around to face him. 'For one time, I don't. Go ahead.'

Cap's happy response made me smile to myself. Alright, sometimes he was a real jerk, but he remained my brother and someone related to me couldn't possibly be real bad.

But even though I just used myself to seem like the good sister, I just lied to him when I said I was going to check on Leo. Lee would be fine, after all, it was her. She survived worse than this. The one I was really worried about, was Libra.

I had no idea how his brothers treated him last night, but from what Cap had told me, it couldn't possibly be good. And seeing his situation, it would only bring him back.

I was especially surprised by the behavior from the others around here, leaving out the brothers. They surely would've noticed his acting and they should know I acted exactly the same right before... I shook my head and walked through the hallway, until I stood in front of apartment 26.

I didn't know what I expected to happen, or what I hoped would happen, but I could certainly say I wasn't particularly happy when Taurus opened the door.

'Hey, it's you. Is anything wrong?' he asked, and I realized he asked me that because I was frowning. I quickly shook my head again and put up a smile. 'No... well, not really. Can I come in?' 'Sure, I suppose,' he said and stepped aside to let me pass. I walked through the hall, which still left some hints of their rehousing.

Inside, I spotted Sagittarius on the couch, who greeted me happily. 'Hey, Aquarius! Last night really was fun – you should totally have another slumber party over at your place! How about tomorrow?' 'How about never again?' I repeated and slowly moved over to the small hall with the bedroom doors. 'Is Libra here?'

'Nope. Mister Grumpy wasn't very pleased when we came home this morning,' said Taurus, who'd appeared in the door opening. Sagittarius huffed softly and nodded. 'Definitely. I don't think I ever saw him this upset before. Maybe we were a little too harsh on him last night.'

My heart froze. 'You... you didn't call him a wimp, did you?' 'We did, among other things,' Taurus chuckled from his spot behind me. I moved a bit, so I was standing against the wall and able to see both of them. 'He really was acting stupid, so we did exactly the same to him.'

'Oh dear god,' I muttered, getting the attention of both boys. 'What? It's not like we actually meant the things we said,' Sag said and his brother fell in: 'Yeah, we were just fooling around. Lib can take it, I mean, he knows us, so he's fine.'

'Where is he now?' I asked, and Taurus answered me: 'He went to the store this morning, but I don't think he went there because he didn't take any money...' He stopped talking, frowned and looked over to his younger brother, who did the same. 'You don't think –'

'What did he say before he left?' I asked them, this time with a bit more force. Sag and Taurus first exchanged looks for a bit before Sagittarius started talking, slow and a bit hesitating. 'Well... he couldn't really be serious, I mean... he was all "I hate you guys" and "the world sucks" and "nobody loves me", and stuff, but he didn't mean that, right...?'

'Great job, guys. Very great job,' I sighed. Well, this was just perfect. I could perfectly remember how I felt back in my days, when Capricorn tried to annoy me "for fun" and I walked away. Of course, I didn't go to the café I said I was going to – I walked away, and cried to myself until it got dark and I had no idea how to get back –

'Eh, are you alright?' Sag's voice came right through my thoughts, and I quickly nodded to assure him he didn't have to worry. 'Yeah, I guess – you know what, I have to go, actually...' I smiled to Sagittarius and walked past Taurus, back through the hall and I was just about to open the door, when Taurus stopped me.

'Aquarius?' I sighed in silence, put up another smile and turned back around to face the frowning tall boy. 'Yes?'

'If I may give you any advice; don't go looking for him, alright? I know you're probably thinking about the time when you had –' 'Yes, actually,' I muttered, interrupting what he wanted to say. He coughed softly, taking my hint seriously. 'I just wanted to say, you can think what you want, but we are still talking about Libra. Even if he'll go through whatever you went through, it won't be the same.'

It remained silent between us for a few seconds. I let his words slowly sink in, and it took a while for me to take them seriously. I nodded, smiled one last, good time, and opened the door to walk back to see how Capricorn was doing on breakfast.

     Sagittarius' pov

'Well, that was weird,' I shouted to the hallway, and seconds later, Taurus came back in. 'Yeah. You think she believed our "worried-expression?' 'She totally did,' I snickered and high-fived my brother as he walked by. 'She doesn't know Lib like we do. She might be afraid he walked away, but Libra is a coward. He wouldn't dare to go an inch farther than he told us he'd be.'

'Absolutely. Hey, what do you want for lunch?' Taurus asked, and he walked over to the kitchen before I could answer. 'More pizzetthi, before I get sick of it!' I yelled, and my brother gave me an agreeing sound on it back.

I yawned to myself and scratched the side of the bandage around my head, as I thought back to last night. It really was fun, although, it was fun after things finally calmed down. When the girls left, Taurus and I spent about another hour playing Mario Kart with Capricorn, and after he won for three rounds in a row, Tau and I secretly changed his car speed when he went to get more chips. After that, we finally got to win too.

Taurus appeared in the door opening again and frowned slightly. 'I don't know if it has anything to do with Gem robbing our food yesterday, but we're out of... well, everything. So, I guess I'll go over to the girls to get everything all of it.' 'Make sure you also take extras,' I grinned, at which he smirked and gave me a thumbs up. 'Will do. See you later, bro.' 'Later,' I yelled and listened to the smack of the closing door.

I had to be honest; this place really was changing us all. Taurus and I never got along like we did now – he was always being sarcastic about everything and I suppose I was just too innocent sometimes. But now that we both were more relaxed and had actually made some friends, things went great between us. The only problem seemed to be Libra, and we both weren't really surprised about that. Libra never acted great under stress, and now that me and Taurus were sort of against him, he was put under the most stress ever.

Speaking of Libra...

I snapped out of my thoughts when the door smacked another time. I grinned to myself, as I jumped up to make another sarcastic remark at Taurus, but it wasn't him. It was Libra, who didn't look amused at all.

'Oh. So you're not hanging at the neighbors, for a change.' He looked around, and it was if he had copied Taurus' personality, the way he had his hands in pockets and a sarcastic undertone. A few things Taurus didn't have, were the bags under Libra's eyes and the fact he wasn't being sarcastic, but serious.

'Are... you okay?' I asked him, trying not to get him upset right away – right away, indeed. He'd get upset anyway.

'I'm fine!' Libra huffed. He turned his back on me and started walking back to the hallway, but he stopped halfway his walk and turned back with a somewhat angry expression. 'Stop it, Sag. I know what you're doing.' I frowned and jumped up from my lazy position on the couch. 'Eh... what?'

Lib huffed again and leaned up against the wall, something he never did due to "looking-too-arrogant", or something. 'I know what you and Taurus are up to. You are planning on convincing dad this is a great place to stay, and then dad will agree with you and then we're gonna stay here forever and –' He took a deep breath, giving me a short second to take in the fact he changed the words "going to" into a simple "gonna". Something must be seriously going on if Lib was changing his language.

'Lib, we're not planning on anything,' I assured him. 'But despite that, I'm pretty sure we're staying here anywa-'

'No we're not!' Libra suddenly yelled. He'd taken a step away from the wall and looked very much in panic, all of a sudden. 'We're not staying here! Dad will take us back home and everything will be good and mum's gonna come back and – don't you come any closer to me!'

I had slowly taken a few steps towards him, but he jumped back and pointed a shaking finger at me. 'Libra, calm down,' I said slowly. 'You obviously need –'

'I need nothing! I don't need your help! I don't want your help!' Libra shouted, as he turned around and stomped into the hallway. 'You're the ones who need help!' I heard him scream, before a door smacked close, and I could guess what door it was.

Well, great. I definitely wasn't going there with him inside, and it seemed like he was going to be in for a while. I rolled my eyes and already wanted to turn back to the couch to continue not worrying about shit, when a part of Libra's words hit me and created a feeling of worry in my stomach.

Did I need help?

'... and well, I just couldn't really let go of it. It's not that I actually think I need help, but – but it just might be better for me to take time off of my brothers, as Libra is only moving backwards and Taurus... even though we've been closer than ever, he's still Taurus. You know what I mean?'

'I think I might have a certain look on your situation.' Virgo leaned back on the same couch I'd laid on bleeding only days ago, with a bit of a frown on his face. 'But I don't know your brothers the way you've known them all your life. You may be a bit better at predicting their actions and comprehending their thoughts.'

'That's part of the problem; I don't know their thoughts!' I let my hands fall to my knees, and I studies them with my mind somewhere else. 'I just... thought I should go to you. You seem to know everything.'

My eyes caught sight of Virgo shaking his head, and I slowly looked up from my hands. 'I act like I know everything. That's a different thing. It all comes down to knowing how to stay calm in certain difficult situations.' 'Can you...' I hesitated a second, but said it anyway: 'Can you teach me that sort of stuff?'

The boy in front of me frowned again, although this time, it was a thinking-frown, not a "I-understand-your-situation-and-so-I'm-frowning"-frown. It remained silent for a moment, a moment in which I wondered if Virgo could really help me and if he could, how. Luckily, that question wouldn't be a question for long.

'There is something I can suggest... but that would take a lot from you, though –' 'I can handle my brothers, I'm sure I can handle your solution,' I stated, to which Virgo smiled slightly. 'Now, don't say that too soon. But if you are willing to sacrifice some of your just rebuild life –'

'Woah, I said nothing about sacrificing,' I quickly said, holding my hands up in defense. 'No worries there, it will just probably be a big thing, after having to move here and deal with everything around,' he responded and nodded at me. 'But, to get to the point; if you would really want to have some time apart from your brothers to let them calm down for a bit, it might be an option to live with someone else for a while.'

Now, it was my turn to frown. 'With someone else? But... who would that be? Wouldn't it be too busy if I'd stay at the girls? And I don't suppose I could sleep over at Cap, with Aquarius and all... where do I even find someone who's responsible and patient enough to take me –'

Virgo's smile interrupted my sentence and made me smile back at him. 'So – can I –' 'Of course you can, I have a spare room anyway,' he said and stood up from his spot on the couch. 'It's all furnitured, but you might want to settle down some of your stuff.' I grinned widely and jumped up from the chair he'd offered me the moment I came in. 'Wait; you're really letting me stay? And you're sure of what you're getting into?' 'Are you?' Virgo responded, at which I happily shook my head. 'Of course not! But this should be really cool – I mean, it's gonna be awesome, right? You're not gonna be all parent-like, are you?'

'Parent-like?' Virgo chuckled, then copied my grin. 'Absolutely not. I am offering you a chance to find a place of peace in yourself before you are willing to throw yourself back into –' 'Yeah, cool! Wait here, I'll go gather some stuff already! Be right back!' I shouted and I quickly made my way back to my own apartment, leaving my new roommate grinning at my enthusiasm.

     Taurus' pov

It took half an hour for Sag to return from I-don't-know-where-and-I-don't-care-where, which kind of annoyed me because that meant I had to deal with an ice-cold Libra when I returned from the girls after a long and kind of amusing discussion with Gemini about food. He was just sitting in the living room, staring me down when I walked in without saying a single word. After doing that for ten minutes straight, he left off to his room muttering things about "stupid brothers trying to take things down".

Gosh, was I glad when that little brother of mine returned.

'I'm back!' Sag's voice yelled from the hallway, making me smirk to myself as I realized how much he'd enjoy to hear the amazing sarcastic remarks I had thrown right into Gem's face.

'Sag! You won't believe what I –' I started, but he rambled right through what I wanted to say: 'I have amazing news! I'm moving in with Virgo!'

'I totally pissed off Gem when I told her – wait, you are what?' My brain mixed two completely different subjects through each other, all of sudden. The first was the fact that Sag just told me he was moving in with Virgo, and the second – never mind, the two things were exactly the same and just as shocking.

'You are moving in with Virgo?' I repeated, and I felt another wave of disbelieve flow through my body when he nodded. 'Yeah, we both thought it would be good for me to take some time off of – well, you and Libra, because things have been so busy and stuff. I'm just going to get some stuff and I'll be taking that to the room Virgo has prepared for me, so I'm gonna be busy for a few minutes. You're welcome if you wanna help, but don't walk in the way, alright?'

He smiled at me and ran right past me, over to the living room as he left me shocked, in mental confusion, mixed up, overthinking, deeply hurt –

'Okay, okay, I get it! Quit English-class and just continue the story!' Aries sighed and let herself fall back on her bed. I looked up with an interrupted expression. 'You know, you're not a great listener.' 'Terribly sorry,' she yawned, 'but if you wanted someone to listen to you, you should've gone to Virgo yourself. In fact, he might know some more annoying nouns to describe the horrible feeling when your brother chose someone else over you.'

'Thanks for making me feel so secure,' I groaned and kicked away one of the many sweaters on her floor. 'I'm just pissed because he made me feel like I had a problem too. I mean, sure I understand why he'd leave Lib, but me? There's nothing wrong with me.'

Aries got up from her laying position and looked at me, looking rather bored. 'Alright, I'm not the type of person you can just vent to without getting some pretty ironic responses, just to make that clear to you. Also, do you wanna play Mario Kart now?' 'Are you taking me seriously, because I don't really feel like you are,' I checked, and as I expected, she shrugged. 'It's kinda hard to give a damn when you've been living with Gemini for your entire life. Her habits grow into you, you see.'

'Sure they do,' I mumbled and got up from the bean bag I was assigned. I had no idea why I went to Aries; it just seemed like a good idea, or certainly the best thing to do at this moment. And perhaps it was – perhaps ignorance was just the thing I needed right now. As it seemed, nothing else would be there to fall in and make things right.

'Come on, let's get to Mario Kart. If we hurry, Gem won't notice before we start and we can play without her,' I said as I turned back to Aries, who smirked widely and jumped off her bed, only to run past me to the living room, with me following her and grinning to myself at the same time.
