Brand new Chaos

      Virgo's pov

I patiently waited for Sag to return to my apartment, but as time just went on without him, I decided to clean up the little mess around. It took about another five minutes before he actually came back, and the look on his face predicted not much good.

'So, how did it go?' I asked him, and he waited another second before he completely exploded. 'They are both just absolutely insane! Libra is being a stupid bitch about practically everything and Taurus is just a big bomb of sarcasm, and hate, and more sarcasm and hate and – and everything and – ugh, why do I even have brothers? Why couldn't my parents just be like "oh no, we should definitely cancel on our first child because he's going to be a bummer, and we also can't have the second one because he's not going to survive the place we're gonna send him off to when we get divorced"!'

He let out a scream of frustration, before he turned back to me and walked off to the couch. It would probably be a good idea to let him rush out until he was done. Sag took about a few more seconds, as he was staring at the coffee table with a pissed expression, before he went on: 'I just can't believe that they're making such a big deal out of almost everything! Lib should calm down about stupid things that don't even matter that much, and Taurus has to stop being stupid and mean and – and hateful – and – am I overreacting about stuff?'

'Just a tad,' I said, at which Sag turned over to me and I saw his expression change. 'Sorry, I'm just... frustrated, about everything. But... aren't you mad that I screamed at you?' 'You needed it,' I responded and stood up from the chair I was sitting in, to walk over to him and sit down next to him.

'If you want to be neutral, in everything, you should have a good control over your anger. You have to find ways to let it out and stay calm at the actual moment itself.' 'Like you do all the time,' he said, to which I nodded. 'Well, that's all me. I just don't really get angry a lot.'

'Must also have something to do with the fact you managed to stay neutral and everyone's friend around here,' Sag reacted and leaned back on the couch. 'You'll have to teach me a lot about that, though –'

We both heard the front door open and I turned around, to see Pisces stand in front of us. 'Hey, sweetie –' I started, but she shook her head and walked over to us quickly. 'Something is going on, and we aren't really sure what it is, but we have an idea, though,' she stated, looking over from me to Sagittarius. 'What is going on?' Sag asked. Pisces shrugged and turned back to me. 'Well – we aren't really sure, but we think it might be something as...'

She hesitated a bit, then softly continued: '...new neighbors.'

     Pisces' pov

Virgo and Sagittarius followed me through the halls, down the stairs and onto the first floor, where we went into one of the first apartments and caught up with everybody else, except for Libra, Taurus and Aries.

'Come on, we can see them from the balcony!' Gemini said, excited as ever before. She dragged me over to the large balcony, made out of stone, where Aqua, Leo and Capricorn were leaning over the railing to see something I couldn't see from here. 'Well? How do they look like?' Gem asked, and Cap turned around to us. 'The things we know right now, is that there are no children and two parents. Ultra boring.'

'Ugh,' Gemini groaned and pushed Leo aside to look for herself. The moment she did, she, Aqua and Cap gasped at the same time and all ran inside. 'Guys! Great news!' Capricorn yelled when me and Leo followed them. 'There's –'

'THERE'S A BOY OF OUR AGE GUYS!' Gemini shouted right through his sentence, making the room quiet for two seconds. In those seconds, the door opened and Aries and Taurus entered, at which Gem sprinted over at them: 'Aries! They have a teenage boy! There's gonna be another member of the Chaos Flat! This is amazing!'

'Yeah, but his parents,' Aries responded calmly. 'They're. Not. Divorced. Rule number 28; "Anyone living in the Chaos Flat has to have divorced parents to be made into a Chaos Survivor".'

'Can't we make any exceptions?' Aquarius asked, at which Leo suspiciously looked over at her, but multiple people shouted no. 'It is absolutely forbidden to disobey rules,' Aries shouted louder than anyone. Aquarius' expression turned down, but no one really paid to it when Gemini yelled: 'Guys! Let's go spy on him and find out all of his secrets, like we did with Cap and Aqua!'

'Hey! You're invading my privacy!' Aquarius protested, but most of us were in for Gem's idea and we all ran to the hallways.

'Alright, how are we going to do this?' Sag asked when we were all situated in the hall. 'Let's split up!' Leo suggested, and for once, Aries actually agreed with her. 'Okay; Furface, Aqua, Cancer Pisces and Virgo take our floor, me, Gem, Taurus, Cap and Sag will take the third floor, alright?' 'Then what are we waiting for?' Gem shouted, and both "teams" split up.

I ran along with Cancer and Virgo as we followed the two girls leading us. 'We'll take my apartment,' Cancer suggested, at which all of us straight turned into hers. As soon as we were on the balcony, we started looking down.

'Do you think that, maybe they are divorced after all but they just found new partners?' Leo asked, and Aquarius shrugged. 'Could be. But guys, where are they going to live? Which apartment?' 'And more important; are they going to move in here?' Cancer said. 'I mean, maybe they're just looking for... something.'

'That wouldn't be a logical explanation for the truck of the moving company behind them,' Virgo responded. 'No, they're moving in.'

'But... the only apartment left is number 23,' I mumbled. 'Poor family,' Aqua muttered. The door behind us flew open and Gemini's voice screeched: 'They're coming upstairs!' 'Come on, Aqua! We'll hide out in your apartment!' Leo said and she and Aquarius disappeared. 'Hey! I wanna come too!' Cancer shouted, and as Virgo and I looked over at each other, we decided to follow the girls.

It seemed we weren't the only ones with the idea to go to apartment 28; basically everyone was there.

'Tiny Dwarf!' Leo hissed at Aries, at which she spit something back about lions, but I didn't quite catch it due to the others talking loudly too. Soon enough, Capricorn jumped on the couch and yelled that we should keep our annoying mouths shut.

'Alright, guys, here's the plan,' he started once we silenced down. 'We'll wait until his parents left, then we go and introduce ourselves. But not all at once, because he might get scared away.'

'If that's the problem, then how about we don't introduce him to Gemini and Tiny Dwarf at all?' Leo called, earning herself three hateful glances, under which one from Cap. 'Furface, we all appreciate your existence, but please don't mingle into things that go out of your mind, alright? Fine, now that's settled,' he went on, 'how about we do it like this; we'll let Taurus and Sag introduce themselves first, because they aren't really touched by the years of extreme chaos yet. Guys, would you?'

'Sure!' Sagittarius yelled from some corner, followed by another agreeing sound from Taurus. 'But I wanna be the next one!' Gemini shouted, at which both Capricorn and Aries chuckled. 'Sure you can be, Gem,' Cap said, and he jumped off of the couch. 'Let's for now see what is going on with the new ones.'

'The "new ones"? How unoriginal,' Aries muttered when she, Gem and I skipped back to our own apartment. 'Well, we already had the "newbies", so yeah,' Gemini stated. 'So then now there's finally just as many boys as there are girls,' I said softly and walked over to the kitchen to check everything that was happening in the hall, through the kitchen window.

Soon, my sisters were standing next to me and we closely followed the things that happened. Two adults were walking closer to our apartment, stopped a few feet away from it and started having a conversation we couldn't hear. Soon enough, they left off, and we rushed to the balcony to see a car ride off a few seconds later. 'What about the boy? They didn't take him with them,' I muttered, and as if it was a que, Gemini's phone started ringing.

We all stared at it for a moment, without answering it or anything. Then, the shock seemed to rise. 'Shouldn't you take it?' Aries suggested. 'Yes, take it, Gemstone,' I encouraged her, and after an annoyed glance from my younger sister, she took the phone.

'Oh, hey! It's Cancer,' she mouthed, and Aries and I nodded while Gem continued on. 'Really? So were sure?' Gem turned to us again and started making wild gestures with her free arm and her hand, but seeing how neither of us understood it, she put Cancer on hold to explain it. 'Cancer, hang on for a sec – she says the moving company has left the truck here and the boy is coming upstairs, but none of us know where he – wait – what? He's on our floor?'

'Give me,' Aries demanded and she pulled Gem's arm to get her phone. 'Cancer? Where are you?' 'Put it on speaker,' I squealed, and when she did, Cancer's voice told us: 'I'm in my own apartment, trying to see anything! He just past this and I think he's standing in front of apartment 23...'

'Do you think that's where he's going to live?' I asked, and it took a bit of Cancer's hesitation before we got an answer. 'Well... I think so, actually. I mean, it's officially still a real apartment, as the government has no idea of what is actually going on here.'

'Alright, so can we establish that there's a new boy with both his none-divorced parents is come here to live in apartment 23?' Aries checked, snickering softly at the sense of the entire sentence.

'That's it!' Gem yelled all of a sudden, right through another one of Cancer's responses. 'I can't just stand here and let all of this happen! I have to know who we're dealing with!' 'Gemstone, don't,' I warned her, but she already escaped to the living room, followed by me and Aries.

'Gemini, if you open that door –' Aries started, referring to the front door our sister was about to open. Gemini blinked at us before she turned the knob and pushed the door open.

     Scorpio's pov

'We're just gone for about half an hour, to check in with the rest, alright?' mum told me and walked over to our car. 'Yeah, why don't you go check out our new apartment already? And maybe we even have cool neighbors you can meet up with,' dad said to that, and after a pat on my shoulder he followed my mother's lead and stepped into the car, which left after a few seconds.

Well, great.

I turned back to the small flat in front of me and huffed at its sight. This was supposed to be my new home? Even though my father said we'd only stay here for a month or two because we had to wait for our new mansion to be built, we could've at least picked out something better.

My footsteps echoed through the cold and empty room downstairs, and my mood decreased even more when I noticed a small plate by the elevator, saying it was broken. Just amazing. Sure I was used to walking stairs back in our home, but I definitely wasn't going to walk eight stairs a day.

This entire thing seemed to be on the verge of breaking down – the railings were gone, apartments were broken down and windows were either blocked or cracked. This also meant my hope that we'd move to someplace else was growing; even though our new apartment wasn't on those floors. It seemed to be on the top one. How amazing.

Although, coming back at my thoughts here for a moment, the top floor really was the only one that didn't look broken down by... anything. My eyes gazed around in a suspicious way, trying to find anything that looked misleading to this. I couldn't find it and with that, I slowly made my way over to my apartment. I took the keys out of my pocket and studied the lock of the door in front of me. My mind really doubted if this thing would be intruder-proof, but dad would take care of that. Without any more doubt, I pushed the key into the lock and turned.

The apartment wasn't to be called an apartment.

It was horrible; and the fact there was dust everywhere wasn't even the worst thing. There were wooden planks laying around everywhere, next to bits of stone and cracks in the walls.

I stared at the whole thing for a few seconds, then groaned softly and walked in. Oh, how amazing this would be. The two worst months of my life were about to start, and I was completely dragged into them.

I was startled by a few sudden knocks on the door behind me, so at first I decided to ignore it, but as they didn't seem to seize, I turned around, sighed shortly and opened up.

In front of me stood a very small girl, with a big grin for such a tiny face. She was looking up at me with a happy expression, something that looked more like a desperate try for attention than a real smile. She started talking with an irritating high-pitched voice, and I had to say, I really didn't care about what she was implying.

'Hi! I'm Gemini, your lovely new neighbor! Or, actually, you're the new one here, but I suppose I could say that because I'm the one introducing myself right now. So, welcome to this place and please don't mind the annoying people living here.'

'Like yourself?' I stated, trying to narrow my eyes further without closing them. The girl, who I now knew as Gemini – horrible choice of name to her parents – shrugged casually, and in some magical way it seemed her grin got even brighter. 'Well, I was kind of referring to Leo a few apartments away, but sure! We can count me in, I'm annoying as hell! So, as I was saying –'

'Can you do something?' I interrupted her. I had to, I really did, because my ears were exploding from the annoying sounds enacting from her mouth. 'Can you just stop talking? For, like, until I'm gone again?'

'You're gonna leave already?' she pouted, at which I face-palmed myself and groaned under a breath. 'What did I just say? Just – just shut your mouth, okay? Also; what did you even mean when you said "the annoying people living here"? Are there more insignificant human-beings like you?'

She didn't respond, she just shrugged again and made a gesture that I understood as "can't talk". No matter how calming it was, I really was looking for an answer to my question and that answer had to come quickly. 'You can talk for a few seconds. Answer me,' I stated, but the tiny girl shook her head and made the same gesture again. I groaned to myself and decided to leave her company, so I could spend my two months in silence by myself.

Unfortunately for me, a couple of soft voices from a few feet away – most possibly from another apartment – started to make itself into a human form, and before I had the chance to escape another meeting, another tiny girl appeared in the hallway and was now making her way over to the other tiny girl – Gemini, that was her name. I completely forgot after the short yet boring conversation we had.

'Gemini! Quit being rude,' the new girl stated and punched the other one on her shoulder, after which she turned to me. It wasn't hard to notice how she was even shorter than this Gemini.

'Let me apologize for this goof here. She's my sister – and believe me, we are nothing alike,' she claimed, at which I slowly raised my eyebrow. 'Beside the fact you're both small and wasting my time, I doubt there can be any more difference. Unless you happen to be more annoying than she is, in that case I'll take back my words.'

I left her speechless, something that always came in my better opportunities, but this time, Gemini ruined it for me. 'He's funny, don't you think?' she chuckled and softly pushed her sister in the meantime. 'Didn't I tell you you should stop making any sounds? Yes, I did, so act like it,' I told her, and the other one finally gave me some action.

'That's not how you talk to my sister!' she yelled and stepped in front of Gemini with one step, which surprised me slightly, because her legs were awfully short.

I narrowed my eyes again and folded my arms, while I slowly studied the small girl. She looked feisty, but of course, she wouldn't be a match for me. 'I'm sorry, I can't hear you from up hear. You'll have to speak up – or, why don't you do just as I told your sister: shut your mouth. And you also would do good to return where you came from.'

Her face turned a fiery shade of red, and she groaned softly before she shouted: 'Are you saying I'm from down hell? Because I'm not, but I can surely act like it!'

'Actually, I was stating you just came out of that apartment over there, and it would be great if you just went back there so I could enjoy my silence,' I said to her. 'But, now that you mentioned it, you in fact do look like a devil. A tiny devil, if I may add.'

The girl remained silent for a moment, although she seemed like she could explode any second now. Perhaps I had to stretch out my remarks a bit more to further people's reactions, because she only stomped back to her apartment after about ten seconds of just trying to stare me to death.

The door left no echo, yet it was a disturbing sound and I softly huffed. Gemini was still standing in front of me, and when I looked back at her she ignored my demand again: 'Well, she didn't really get the chance to introduce herself, but that was Aries, and she indeed is my sister! I also have another sister, her name's Pisces, and there are also other people who you should –'

'Alright, listen,' I stopped her, yet again. 'I don't know if I wasn't clear enough, but I don't want to have anything to do with any of you, neither do I want to have anything to do with this place here. I am going to stay here for about two months, and in those months I don't want to hear your annoying voice again, is that clear?'

'But –'

'Not. One. Single. Time.'

She hesitated, I could see that clearly compared to what her expression looked like a few minutes ago. I stared her down with my left eyebrow still high on my forehead, and it took her only a couple of seconds longer to slowly step backwards, before she turned around and quickly walked back to the same apartment her sister left off to too.

My father could be proud of me. A single five minutes in here, and I already completely ruled everything. I allowed a small smirk to appear on my lips and with that, I turned back into the disastrous apartment I was assigned.

     Aries' pov

Gem turned around on our couch, so she was now laying on her stomach and she could face me. 'I still think he was kind of funny. He said I had to stop talking, and I tried but it was impossible...' 'Stop it, Gem,' I told her and leaned back a bit further in the chair I was sitting. 'He's a jerk. A definite jerk. And the worst part is –' 'He didn't even introduce himself!' Gemini shouted and rolled back to her old position, at which I softly groaned. 'Sure, whatever. Well, at least he'll be gone in two months, as he claimed. Hopefully that's either true, or sooner.'

I stood up and couldn't suppress a yawn, as I walked over to the hall. 'Gem, it's almost half past eleven... you'll go sleep soon, won't you?' 'Will do!' she yelled back, and I put on a smile. 'Good night, then, sis. Hope you don't fall asleep on the couch again.'

I walked over to my room, closed the door behind me and immediately noticed the hole. Sure, I'd gotten used to the fact there was a hole in my wall, but that wasn't it.

The hole was bigger.

I groaned softly and walked up to the wall, as I sat down in front of it. Like that, I could look through it and I was absolutely scared to hell as soon as I noticed Taurus was doing the same thing on the other side.

When I shot back in fright and waited until my heart could handle anything again, Taurus' voice said: 'Sorry for scaring you. I was actually waiting for someone to get over here, because I don't think Lib will be too happy if I interrupt him during his breakdown thingy, and I still have no idea if the new one is out or not.'

'You also met him?' I asked, as I sat up again so I could see Taurus. He nodded. 'Well, yeah. He's... interesting. Pretty rude, if you ask me.' 'A jerk. He's a down way jerk,' I stated, at which Taurus smirked. 'Sounds like a good description. Did he also comment on your name?' 'Nope, he did that on Gem's though,' I stated.

Taurus huffed softly and shook his head. 'If commenting on names is his specialty, maybe we should do that with his name. Who the hell is called Scorpio anyway?'

I bursted out into laughter, and it took a while before I could go back to just snickering again. 'Scorpio? His name is Scorpio?' 'His father came back and called him,' Taurus said while nodding and smirking widely.

Things got silent after we both stopped laughing at the name of the new boy, and I thought of something I had to ask him about. 'Hey, so about this form of communication...'

'You mean talking? It happens through your mouth,' he stated, and I chuckled for a second, before I shook my head and focused again. 'No; I was talking about the hole.'

'Oh.'

Taurus was silenced by my question, that was obvious, but I didn't know whether it was because he created the hole or whether he knew who did it. After a few more seconds of just waiting, he stood up and his face disappeared, so I was now staring at his legs, something that wasn't quite a good sight, meaning I also crawled back and frowned to myself. 'Hey... are you gonna answer my question?'

'No, I'm gonna sleep,' his voice called back and before I knew, I heard a door close, assuring me that this conversation had ended.
