Virgo and her best friend Taurus were walking around in school.

Taurus sighed. "Oh no look who's coming again."

"Who?" asked Virgo.

"Him."

"Hi Taurus." Leo ran up to Taurus.

Virgo tried to stay calm. She really liked Leo, but he loved Taurus. Virgo didn't want Taurus to reject Leo because of her, that's why no one knows about Virgo's secret crush. Not that it really mattered, because Leo chased after Taurus all the time but Taurus wasn't interested in him. Still, it hurt to see that Leo loved Taurus and not her.

"Hi Leo." Taurus smiled to be polite.

Virgo tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Hi Leo."

"Oh hi Virgo. Sorry I didn't see you there."

Of course not.

"What do you want?" asked Taurus.

"Oh. Well I just wanted to tell you that I really like you and I'd like to go on a date with you." Leo smiled shyly.

"Sorry Leo, I'm not looking for a boyfriend."

"Aww..." Leo stuck his hands in his pockets, disappointed by her rejection.

If only you asked ME! I wouldn't have rejected you! Thought Virgo.

Taurus sighed. "I'm sorry Leo I hope you can understand."

"I'll try." Leo walked away.

"He looked pretty disappointed," said Virgo.

"I know but I don't want to date someone I'd be unhappy with, so it's best to be honest now than both of us being upset later."

"I suppose you're right." But the way Leo looked when he got rejected, Virgo hated seeing Leo that way.

A few weeks later, Taurus and Virgo were at the mall.

"That shirt looked so cute on you. I'm glad we found it," said Taurus.

"And your shirt matched your eyes, it was perfect."

"Hey, want to go get something to eat?"

"Sure." They walked over to the food court. Virgo froze when she saw him.

Leo ran up to them. "Taurus?"

"Yes?"

"I know you told me no last time, but I can't stop thinking about you. I came to tell you again that I love you."

"Leo... You deserve someone better then me, someone who's going to love you. We won't be happy together so I'm trying to make sure you don't get hurt."

"We could be happy together," muttered Virgo. She panicked for a second until she realized no one heard her. For once it was a good thing she was invisible to Leo.

Leo sighed. "I could make you happy. Just please give me a chance."

"Leo please, just leave me alone."

Leo nodded and walked away.

Virgo bit her lip. "He looked really upset."

"He needs to learn to back off when someone says no."

Virgo shook her head. Oh Leo... If only you realized that you belong with me.

The next day, Virgo and Taurus were walking around at school.

Virgo elbowed Taurus. "Leo looks really upset."

"I know, but what am I supposed to do?"

"Maybe you should give him a chance. To prove himself to you." Virgo didn't like that idea, but she wanted Leo to be happy... Even if he wasn't with her.

"Maybe you're right." They walked over to him. "Leo?"

"Yeah?" Leo wasn't making eye contact with her.

"I'll give you one chance to prove yourself to me."

Leo's face lit up. "You mean it?"

"Yes, I do."

Virgo sighed. Leo was happy, but Virgo was kind of jealous of the way Leo looked at her best friend. He doesn't like you so stop thinking about him. Leo saw Virgo's expression and seemed concerned. Virgo put on a fake smile and Leo went back to looking at Taurus.

"But if you mess up then you're done," warned Taurus.

"I won't disappoint you!"

"I hope not."

Leo skipped away.

I'm fine. I never stood a chance anyways. Everything will be alright, I just need to forget about him. Everything will be alright and I'll be fine. I'm alright. Thought Virgo. Then she remembered the way Leo looked at Taurus. I'm not alright.

"Virgo?" asked Taurus as Virgo ran into the washroom to stop the tears from falling down her face.

"Your idea of impressing me is a walk in the park?" asked Taurus.

Taurus and Leo walked around the park after school. It was hot and sunny.

"Um... well... I like walks in the park."

Virgo ran over to them.

"Oh Virgo's here too?" asked Leo.

At least he doesn't sound disappointed. Thought Virgo.

"This isn't a date. You're trying to impress me, so I let Virgo come along."

Leo smiled. "That's alright." They were walking around a bit and Leo was talking to Taurus, but he was paying just as much attention to Virgo too.

After a while, they were done the walk.

"So... What do you think? Wanna go on a date now?" asked Leo.

"Seriously?"

"Why not?"

"You weren't taking this one chance seriously! Honestly Leo, it was like you weren't even trying." Taurus walked away.

Leo fell to his knees and stared at the ground.

Virgo sat beside him. "It's okay Leo."

"She's right. I didn't take her seriously and now she's gone."

"That's too bad."

"I suppose it's for the best. I've always liked Taurus, but I guess I don't like her as much anymore. Maybe it's because she rejected me too many times. I don't know."

"I know you like Taurus, but I have to admit something to you."

"What?"

"This whole time I've liked you. It killed me to see you chase after Taurus again and again when I really like you! But I didn't want to say anything, because I know you love Taurus and not me. I'm sorry I'll leave now." Virgo got up to go, when Leo grabbed her wrist and looked at her. For once he was looking at HER.

"It's alright Virgo. I never stood a chance with Taurus anyway. But I don't want to reject you like she rejected me. So maybe I can go on a date with you instead?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. I'll get over Taurus eventually. But maybe you could help me."

"Of course!" Virgo gave him a hug and they both walked away smiling.

Taurus observed the scene from a distance. She smiled. She knew she could never be happy with Leo, but at least he could be happy with Virgo.
