Scorpio let out a pained groaned as he rolled onto his stomach, seeing his phone on the ground in front of him. Blood was pouring out of the wound on his stomach, staining his clothes and the cold ground beneath him.

It was quiet - almost peaceful, not a single person in sight as he laid helplessly on the ground. It was dark and cold, but he could see the lights of the city from afar. He stretched out his arm, desperately trying to reach his phone.

He breathed out in relief once he finally reached it, rolling back over on his back and dialing a number. He held his phone against his ear as it rang a little while longer, before someone picked up.

"Hello!" The voice replied, seeming as cheerful as always. Instead of calling for help, Scorpio had called the one he loved...

"Hi," he greeted back, trying his best to not sound injured. "Just wanted to check up on you. How are things?"

"Good, but it would've been better if you were here." Scorpio let out a weak chuckle as he could basically feel Pisces' pout through the phone. "Are you coming home soon?" Pisces continued, her cheerful state back.

"Uh, yeah, soon," Scorpio lied, placing a hand on his wound. He knew he wouldn't make it home again, he knew he'd never see the woman he loves again. "What have you been doing today?"

"Eh, nothing much, waiting for you," Pisces replied, and Scorpio could once again feel her pout. "I made your favorite food for dinner!" Pisces explained happily and Scorpio bit his lip, clutching his bloody shirt. He knew he should tell her, but he didn't want to worry her.

"Go ahead and eat without me, I'll be a little late today," Scorpio said, looking to his side as tears prickled his eyes.

"Okie," Pisces pouted in response. Scorpio could feel himself getting weaker, knowing he didn't have much time left.

"You love me, right?"

"Huh?"

"You love me... Right?" Scorpio repeated.

"Of course I do, silly!" Pisces giggled, causing Scorpio to let out a sad chuckle as tears threatened to escape.

"That's good to hear," he replied, causing Pisces to let out another giggle. "Now make sure you eat, ok?"

"Ok," Pisces complied. "Hurry up with your work, I'm lonely and needing your hugs!"

Scorpio let out another chuckle, feeling a tear run down his cheek. "I'll try."

"Cancer's calling for me, I have to go," Pisces said as a child's voice could be heard, causing a sad smile to cross Scorpio's face as his eyes grew heavier and the pool of blood grew bigger. "Bye, Scorpy!"

"Bye, Pisces," Scorpio said, not calling her by one of his many nicknames for her. "Just remember that I love you so much."

"I know," Pisces giggled, causing Scorpio's heart to skip a beat even though he's heard her laugh a million times before. "I love you."

A weak smile made its way to Scorpio's lips as one last tear ran down his cheek,

"I love you too."

Scorpio looked over at his phone, seeing the call had ended. He let his hand drop to his stomach as his other hand laid weakly on the ground next to him. He kept the smile his loved one had given him as his eyes grew tired. The sound of an ambulance could be heard in the distance as his eyes closed.

But by the time they reached him, it was too late.

His heart that beats for Pisces had stopped beating,

as he held his phone to his chest,

his last memory being of the person he loved more than anything...
