The earth signs were exhausted.

"We need to find an earth room," said Taurus.

"I know but we haven't found one yet! I need to sleep!" said Capricorn.

"There is one rule that I forgot to mention. All doors will be locked at night. So if nighttime comes around and you're not in a room, guess who's going to die? It's you guys!" Hydrus' voice rang throughout the maze. "Night time will begin in five minutes."

"Are you kidding me? He waited until NOW to tell us?" asked Virgo.

"He did that because he knows we're all probably trapped out here," said Capricorn.

"We need to find an earth room, quick!" said Taurus. Then the three earth signs ran forward. They reached a hallway that branched off into four different paths. Two of them had a door at the end. Virgo and Taurus sprinted to the end of each hallway.

Virgo reached for the door handle. The door glowed white. "AIR!"

"FIRE!" shouted Taurus. Then they both ran back to Capricorn.

"This way!" Capricorn lead them down one of the other hallways.

"Night time begins in one minute!" taunted Hydra's voice. He probably installed speakers or something.

"It's... got... to be... around... here... somewhere," panted Capricorn. Then they reached another intersection of hallways. Capricorn ran left. Taurus and Virgo followed.

"Thirty seconds~"

"DOOR!" screamed Capricorn. Then she turned right and touched the doorknob. It glowed blue. "SHIT!" Capricorn ran back to Taurus and Virgo. They continued running straight ahead.

"Ten seconds~"

The earth signs were breathing heavily. They've never ran so much in their entire lives. They reached another intersection. There was a door at the end of one path.

Hydrus' voice continued ringing through the speakers. "Five... four..." The earth signs sprinted down the hallway. "Three... two..." Almost there. "One..." Taurus grabbed the doorknob and swung the door open. The earth signs barely got inside before the door shut and locked. Then the lights went out. The earth signs felt like crying tears of relief.

"I... can't... believe........... we... made... it," panted Virgo. Taurus crawled over to the table and grabbed three bottles of water. The earth signs chugged their water.

"Whew. I think I've lost five pounds just trying to find the door. This is why I don't run," said Capricorn. Taurus crawled over to the buckets and started washing her scythe.

Virgo's eyes grew wide. "I hope the others made it in time."

The fire signs were relaxing in their fire room. This is the second fire room they found today. There was three beds, but Leo and Aries pushed their beds together so they could cuddle. Sagittarius cuddled his pillow and pretended that it was Cancer. I know, that's lame, but he misses her a lot!

"I can't sleep," said Aries. She moved Leo's arm from around her waist and turned over so she could look at him.

"Me either."

"Seriously guys? You can't sleep? These beds are so comfortable like, you'd have to be a complicated person if you can't sleep," said Sagittarius.

"Says the one who's obviously awake," said Leo.

"Aww, Saggi's cuddling his pillow? He wishes his little Cancer was there to cuddle! Or maybe he wants to-" Sagittarius threw his pillow at Aries.

Sagittarius sighed. "It's easy to make fun of me while your boyfriend is right there. I don't know where she is or how she's doing. I'm relieved that she's with Scorpio, but I'm still worried."

Aries threw the pillow back at Sagittarius. "Don't worry, we'll find her."

"What's keeping you up?" asked Leo.

"I'm worried about my friends. I'm also terrified. I've never had to fight for my life before!" said Aries.

"I can't stop wondering what happens if you die," said Leo.

"Do we at least get to become ghosts? Because I mean, being a ghost is pretty cool," said Sagittarius.

"If we die, you'd think we'd return to stardust and reappear in the sky. Unfortunately, we're in a simulation so I have no idea how that goes," said Leo.

"If we get out of here, I hope we get to keep our weapons. I like shooting arrows. I can imagine taking up archery as a hobby. I'll be in the backyard shooting arrows at targets... Cancer will be there too. She'll hit the bullseye because she has amazing aim, then I'll turn around and say "hey kids isn't your mother amazi-""

"Someone's thinking ahead," said Aries.

Sagittarius blushed when he realized what he said. "Just cuddle your boyfriend and get to sleep."

"Okay. But don't cuddle pillow Cancer too hard, or you might break her and then you won't be able to have kids-" Sagittarius threw the pillow at Aries again.

"You're being pretty rough with pillow Cancer. Is that how real Cancer likes it?" asked Leo. Sagittarius screamed out of frustration, got up, took the pillow back, and tried to go back to sleep.

The water signs were in a blue room.

"I can't imagine having to spend the whole night in those hallways with the monsters!" said Cancer.

"Especially in the dark. You won't be able to see the monsters. I'll admit, at first I was nervous about this whole thing, but now I just want to kill all the monsters and get this over with!" said Pisces.

"First we encountered animals, then trolls, what's next? The fire signs? It would sure be scary to go against them," said Scorpio for a joke. Then the water signs climbed into bed.

"Is anyone hurt?" asked Pisces.

"I scraped my elbow earlier," said Cancer. Pisces picked up his trident and tapped Cancer with it. The trident healed her elbow.

"That's so cool. We have a healer that can also fight," said Scorpio.

"D-do you think that the monsters are going to get scarier?" asked Cancer.

"I'm sure of it," replied Scorpio.

"Hey. How are we going to use the washroom?" asked Pisces. "What? It's a good question!"

Then a bunch of black mist created another door on one of the walls. It likely led to a washroom.

"I feel so vulnerable," said Cancer.

"You're a real good shruiken thrower. I guess you naturally have great aim!" said Pisces.

"I know but still..."

Scorpio sighed. "Would you be more comfortable if I were lying next to you? Not cuddling or anything but sleeping?" asked Scorpio.

Cancer smiled. "I suppose that would help." Then she climbed in Scorpio's bed.

"Won't it be funny if one of you accidentally cuddles the other in their sleep?" asked Pisces.

"Don't tell Gemini about that. We don't need anymore of her ridiculous ships," said Scorpio.

"Yeah. She ships everyone these days," said Cancer.

"Hey, I think it's cute how she ships everyone. Well, maybe it's a bit awkward when both people are in a relationship and not into each other, but she's adorable!" said Pisces

"I hope everyone is alright," said Cancer.

"I wonder if the others found their rooms yet," said Pisces.

"The others are strong. I'm sure they're fine. We'll get out of here, I'm sure of it. There's no way in hell I'm going to die in this simulation!" promised Scorpio.

"Yeah!" cheered Cancer. "It would be a real nightmare if someone got stuck in the hallways during nighttime."

"WE'RE STUCK IN THE HALLWAY DURING NIGHTTIME!" screeched Gemini.

"Shhhh! It's okay Gemini. We'll be fine. We just need to take turns sleeping and keep our eyes open," said Libra.

"We could use wind walls, problem solved!" said Aquarius. Then he made a wind wall blocking either direction.

"Why wants to sleep first?" asked Libra.

"Ladies first," said Gemini. Then decided to lie down and she used her arms as a pillow.

"Okay what about you Aqua- and he's already asleep. That's great. I'll just keep watch," said Libra. He sat down and scanned the hallways frequently.

"Liiiiiiibra..." called a familiar voice. Huh? Is that one of our friends? NO! It's a trick! I'm not falling for it! Nice try Hydrus!

"Libra... help..." It was Capricorn's voice.

"Nice try asshole! I know my Cappy is safe and sound!" said Libra.

"Libra... help... me..."

"Shut up! You're going to wake up my friends!" hissed Libra.

"Liiiiiiiibra... it's me... please... help me!"

Libra plugged his ears. "You're not real. You're not real. You're not real. You're not real. You're not real!"

"LIBRA... HELP ME!" Libra quickly looked around. He could of swore that the voice he heard was someone right beside him, but Gemini and Aquarius were still sleeping...

"Never again. We're never staying in this creepy as hell hallway ever again!" muttered Libra. Then he felt an eerie presence.

Tap... tap... tap... soft, delicate footsteps echoed through the hallway. Libra had his knives ready and he made sure the wind walls were up.

Tap... tap... tap...

"Liiiiiiiiiibra... I'm coming Libra!"

Tap... tap... tap...

Libra wanted to wake someone up just to make sure they couldn't hear it too. Libra hoped that this maze was driving him mad and that there was no creepy voice or footsteps that were getting louder and louder. He wished it were all in his head.

Tap... tap... tap... The footsteps stopped. For a few seconds, it was dead quiet. You couldn't hear a thing. It was almost too quiet.

"EHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!" a human shaped thing wearing a devil mast ran at them. It wore a long black cloak and it held a pitchfork.

"WAKE UP! GEMINI! AQUARIUS! GET UP!" screamed Libra. He shook them until they woke up.

"Libby, what's- AHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?"

"MONSTERS?" asked Gemini who jumped up, mace ready.

"LIIIIIIIIBRA... GEEEEEEEEMINI... AQUAAAAAAAAARIUS... I FOUND YOU!" the voice was terrifying. It gave Libra the chills, it was like someone scraping their nails on a chalk board.

The air signs had their weapons ready. They were prepared to fight. The monster bumped into the wind wall and got pushed back. Then a bunch of red mist glowed around the wind wall.

"WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS SHIT! RUN!" screamed Libra. The air signs ran through the wind wall on the other side and sprinted away.... but it was dark and they couldn't see where they were going.

The next morning, Hydrus made a horrifying announcement. "I've decided to make your weapons a bit stronger, trust me, you'll need it. After all, there's only eleven of you left..."
