OK SO I GOT THIS IDEA WHILE READING A SAD STORY IDK HOW BUT I DID. I READ A FANFIC SIMILAR TO THIS BUT NOT 1D SORRY TO PERSON IM "STEALING" FROM! Ok sorry for being weird and yelling. (It's different from the original idea)

Everyone has animal. Once you're about 2/3 the animal shows up at your door. Or whatever is the opening of where you live. The animal can be anything. Yes like an elephant. The thing is, big animals are tiny. Like puppy size. "Soul animals", what humans call them, are different from regular everyday animals. Like a wild elephant is normal size.

Soul animals stay with you until you die. They where born the same day/time/year. Once you reach the age to have one, they go EVERYWHERE with you. Yes including the loo. You get quite attached to it. It's like... a best friend. Twins have the same animal. Not the same animal but like, if one has a let's say Golden Retriever, the other twin also has one. (You don't name them sadly, they come with a tag with the name)

If you are hurt, so is your soul animal. The good thing is, they heal quickly so don't worry. If you break an arm, they will be ok in let's say 2/4 days. They can feel your emotions, all types. You need to cry? Well your person cuddle buddy is right there!

Your soul animal can be any gender. You are male? You're soul animal can be female! It doesn't matter. Now, what are these things so special for other then being a best friend? They help you find your soulmate. How? Great question. Once the soul animal's soulmate (yes your soul animal and soulmate's are soulmates. They need one after your emotional ass) is near them. They run to the other soul animal.

Again, remember, Soul animals are NOT wild animals. Yes they might act like them while playing, protecting there person, but they are NOT wild animals. So if your soul animal's soulmate is a wolf and it's a monkey... welp. That's the only weird thing about them. You would think the soul animals would at lease be the same species. Nope. They don't care. It's like... black and white being a couple. Boyxboy girlxgirl. That's how people started to see it.

Liam:

It's the first time Liam Payne cried in 4 years. The bullying. It's gotten too much. His poor turtle, Boris, was starting to get sad. Liam cries as the little soul animal walked on his chest and rubbed his head on Liam's chin. Remember, they are not wild animals. Keep that in mind. Liam sniffles and rubs Boris' shell softly. "Thanks b-bud." Boris continues to lay there as Liam sniffles and lets out tiny sobs every now and then.

Zayn:

Zayn and his soul animal, Mufasa, are watching Lion King. As you can tell by the name, Zayn has a Lion as a soul animal. Zayn covers Mufasa's eyes when that part came up. Mufasa huffed and licked Zayn's hand. "Hey! You're tongue hurts my dude." The animal rolls  it's eyes at the male and continues to watch. "Don't talk to me in that tone of voice young man!" (Mufasa is kitten sized)

Louis:

Louis and his soul animal, a penguin, are walking around the house. "Bob! Why!" Bob, the penguin, hit Louis' leg and ran down the hall. Bob turns around and squeaks then runs again. "Fine! Be that way!" A hunk was heard and Louis huffed. "I didn't want to go with you anyway!" Bob came back and hugged Louis sensing the discomfort in his person.

Harry:

Harry and his hamster, hamster, are laying down listening to music. "Hammy! That tickles! Stop!" Hamster was rubbing against Harry's foot. "Hamster!" Harry leans over and pick the soul animal up. "Here you go buddy." Harry petted the hamster and put him back down. "Hey, I'm not mad." Harry noticed the soul animal got sad.

Niall:

Niall and Slim are chilling under a tree. Slim is a giraffe. Don't worry. Remember, they are not wild animals. Slim is down sized. A lot. He goes up to Niall's ankles. It's actually quite cute. "Slim, stop eating the leaves! You're gonna get us in trouble." Slim ignores the boy and continues to eat. Niall groaned and went back to his own food waiting to get kicked out.

Ironically, all five boys are in London at the same time. They all are going to the same show. There soul animals are all acting weird and the boys can't figure out why. Are they sick? They are worried about them while their parents know what's happening.

Harry woke up and closed his eyes. "Harry! Up! Now!" Harry's mother, Anne, shouted from the stairs. "Harry Edward Styles! If you don't get your arse out of the bed by the time in your room, I will whoop it!" Let's say Harry was standing up and trying, and failing, to put a pair of jeans on by the time Anne walked in.

Harry was about to miss the bus if he didn't get his butt in gear. "Sorry mum!" Harry stumbles downstairs, almost tripping, while Anne past his bag to him. Harry picked Hamster up and put him on his little leash. "Bye mum! Love you!" He called closing the door running to the bus.

Harry just made it. He pants as he put Hamster in his lap. "We made it Hammy!" Harry cheered quietly. Hamster nuzzles his palm and closed his eyes. "Rude. Gonna leave me to fend for myself." Harry huffed.

"Actually, no one is around. It's just us. I'm going to do want until otherwise."

Louis pushes Bob away from his hand. "Mmmmnna." Louis mumbled and turned his head to the side. Droll was running down his face as he snores. Bob got on the bed and walked in his chest. Bob slapped Louis in the face. Hard. "BOB! Wha was da four!?" Louis gasped rubbing his now red cheek.

Bob made a noise and jumped off the bed. Just then Louis' alarm went off. "Awww I could've had 3 more minutes of bless full sleep mate!" Louis whines turning the clock off. "Come on, shower time." Louis sighed as Bob patted behind him.

Bob got in his own little make shift shower, yes he had his own shower Louis was not going to shower with Bob, and looked up as Louis turns it on for him. Bob hugged his leg as a thanks and got in.

"Now I don't have warm water!" Louis whines. Bob just honks. "Fook you too mate!"

"Ahhh, nice and cold."

Boris was helping Liam choose an outfit. "Red doesn't look good in me." Liam mumbled choosing to just do his regular. All black. Boris seemed to have other ideas. Boris bit Liam's toe lightly. "What is it buddy?" Liam as kneeling down.

Boris walked to the closest and stepped on a shirt. White. Liam was questioning where this was going. Next was black worn lose jeans. Last Liam picked Boris up noticing he wanted to get something from the hangers. White jean jacket. "Ok, sir, not too bad. You sure?" Boris seemed content with what he chose.

"Ok. Here goes nothing." Liam hums as he exists the house. For once he has a plan. Today, he is going to fight back. Today, he is going too show them. Don't mess with Liam Payne.

"You got this Liam. Don't listen to them. You're very handsome."

Niall was walking down the hall with Slim. "Hey buddy, can you stop eating my food? Thanks." Slim was munching on a cracker he stole from Niall's bag. The soul animal looked a bit sad but finished the cracker and left his food alone.

Slim laid next to Niall after they made it to his seat and looked up. His eyes read, 'are you mad?' Niall sighed. "No." Slim looked a bit happier by that. "Ok now here are some leaves I got from... don't question where I got them. Try not to make too much noise buddy. Don't want to get into trouble."

Niall patted Slim's head. He looked back up, took his notebook out, pen, and started to take notes. Someone threw a paper ball at Niall's head. It went on for awhile but Niall did his best to ignore them. Slim looked like he shrugged and started to munch on the leaves.

The boys then through a small sharpener at Niall. Niall jumps slightly but goes back to notes. "Niall you alright back there?" The teacher called see him jump. Niall nods not looking up.

"I wish I could help you."

Zayn ducked right before a fist contacted his face. Mufasa was not happy with that. The little lion jumped on the boy that was hurting Zayn and scratch his face. "Mufasa, I-I'm ok." Zayn just wanted him to get out of the way and not get hurt.

Even if Zayn himself was hurt, he really didn't want Mufasa to be more hurt then he needed to be. The lion slowly got off the boy. Luckily for Zayn, he ran away. "Come on boy. Let's go home before he has second thoughts and comes back."

"I just don't want you to be hurt."

All of the boys are on there way to the movie. The movie was the new Marvel movie, Captain America and the Winter Solider. The line was around the theater when each of the boys got there. Suddenly, all five soul animals jump out of the arms of the boys and run to each other. "No!" They all shouted at the same time.

Chasing them, the boys almost run into each other. "Oops. Hi." They all say at the same time when they fall to the ground. The soul animals jump around and lick each other in happiness. The soulmates just look from one to the other. An elder couple 'aw's as spectators watch.

Niall sudden starts to laugh. "Holy shit that's now how I thought that was going to go." Slim kicks him slightly. "Rude." His laughs settle down after a few minutes. "Sorry I just find this hilarious."

Little after the show

Louis pushed Bob off of him for the sixth time in the past five minutes. "You're so lucky that if you die, I die." Louis huffed at the penguin. Bob just squeaked and ran around the group of soul animals and humans.

Niall lets out a laugh. "I see no difference." The others nod in agreement. Louis gave him a confused look. "Nothin. I'll tell you some other time."

Six years later...

"ARE NOT!" Niall and Louis are arguing over the fact Bob and Louis are exactly alike in basically every way.

"ARE TOO!"

"Shut up." Liam mumbled into the pillow. Zayn snorts but covers it. Liam pulled the pillow closer to his ears when the shouting got louder just to annoy him.

"No." Harry laughed even though he wasn't in it.

"You're it even apart of it!"

"So?"

"You lot are annoying." Zayn sighs rolling over. "You're lucky I put up with you or I would yeet myself out of this." TOO EARLY ME Zayn pulls Louis closer to his chest as he tries to keep the warmth.

Liam snorts. "Like you could leave us in any universe."

Zayn lifts his head up. "Every universe has different stories." He shrugged.

Louis looks up from tracing a tattoo. "Ok but you still wouldn't leave. You would miss us. Plus, you couldn't leave me." Zayn rubs their noses together.

Harry gasps. "What if in one universe I'm," he shivers. "Straight."

They all burst out laughing. "Harry, not possible." Harry shrugs. "Only time would be you're a girl and have a boyfriend. You like dick babe." Harry went to protest then nodded.

Suddenly, Boris was clawing at the bed leg. Liam rolls over to help him up. "What's up bud? Bob wake you up?" Boris just laid on his chest and closed his eyes. "I take that as a yes." Liam chuckled.
