Narrator pov
When the gods and goddesses entered Olympus they saw that Posiedon was waiting for them.

He smiled and spoke.
" Well look who's back." Metis rolled her eyes and smirked.
" Hello to you also Posiedon."
"Metis." He smiled and hugged her. Despite everything he had missed his sister in law.

"Mom?" Metis looked to see Athena standing there. She smiled softly at her daughter.
"Hello my little wisdom." She ran over and hugged Metis.
"Mom. You're really here." Metis put a soft hand on her daughter's head and rubbed her back.
"Oh sweetie. It's okay." Just then Ares came up with Hephaestus.

"Mom?"
"Ares." He ran to Metis and hugged her. Metis smiled and hugged her son. He kissed her cheek and held her tightly. Hephaestus hugged his mother tightly and spoke.
"You're really back." Métis smiled and put a soft hand on his cheek. By now the other children had come up. Athena smiled and spoke.
"Mother. These are our siblings." She introduced them and Métis smiled at them.
"It's nice to meet you all." They nodded, all hesitant to go to the mother of their eldest siblings.

Meanwhile Hera was watching from afar, furious. She was thinking to herself. I can't believe they let her be reborn! This ruins everything I've worked so hard for!! Hera was seething and no one noticed except Metis.

Metis saw Hera watching them and she frowned. Zeus took his wife's hand and spoke.
"Why don't we get you settled in?" Metis nodded her head and smiled.

When they entered the room Metis smiled and ran her fingers over the bed. Zeus watched his wife with a smile. He went over and put his hands on her waist. She smiled and turned around. He moved a hand up to her neck.
"I should have been there to protect you."
"Zeus. It's fine. You need to stop beating yourself up because of that." He sighed and kissed her forehead.
"I just wish I could know who did that to you." Métis froze which did not go unnoticed.
"Métis. Do you know?" She looked away and pursed her lips.
"Métis." The reborn goddess sighed and looked at her husband.
"If I tell you you may not go into a rage. I need you to keep calm."
"You were murdered Métis. And you ask me to keep calm."
"Please my husband. Please do not let your anger get the better of you." Zeus sighed and put a gentle hand on her cheek.
"You always did know how to calm me down. I promise I won't be blinded by anger. But please my love. Who?" She sighed and spoke.
"Hera." Zeus froze but you could see the anger building.
"She killed you? The very woman who convinced me to move on is the one who killed you?" Métis took her husband's hands and spoke.
"I'm sorry my love. I truly did not remember when I was killed but with my other memories came the memory of my death and I knew then." Zeus sighed and pulled his wife close. He kissed her then backed away.
"I'm sorry my love but I will not let this go." Metis hesitated then sighed and nodded her head. Zeus put his hand on her cheek and kissed her forehead then left.

Metis was reading a book when Athena came in to the room.
"Mother." Metis looked up and smiled.
"What is it sweetie?"
"Is it true?" Metis sighed and put the book down.
"I'm afraid so sweetie." Athena went over and put her head in her mother's lap.
"Why would she do that? How could she do that to father?" Metis smiled sadly and stroked her daughter's hair.

Later Metis was relaxing with Demeter. Ares came over and laid down, putting his head in his mother's lap. Metis smiled and brushed his hair with her fingers. Hephaestus also came up and sat down. Demeter laughed and spoke.
"I will see you later sister." Metis nodded and gave her sister-in-law a smile. It was quiet for a bit before Ares spoke.
"Mother."
"Hmmm? What is it my warrior?"
"Are you okay with all this? Being back here." Metis smiled and spoke.
"I will never regret being here and being with you all." Ares smiled but Metis noticed the look of hesitancy in his and her other son's eyes.
"What is it you two?" Hephaestus spoke.
"Our siblings. They're worried about getting to know you. Hera wasn't exactly kind to anyone." Metis sighed and looked away.
"Of course she wasn't. They don't need to be worried. I will love them just as much as you three." Ares smiled and Hephaestus chuckled. Ares sat up and spoke.
"Will you have to go back?" She smiled and spoke.
"I do not have to live there but I would like to continue with the bakery." Ares nodded his head and sat up. Metis chuckled and kissed his head. Athena came up just then with Artemis.
"Mother." Metis chuckled and held her arms open. Athena went into them and curled into her mother. Metis laughed and kissed her daughter's head. Artemis hesitated but Metis smiled and patted a spot next to her. Artemis sat down, still nervous. Apollo came over and smiled at seeing his twin relaxed. Metis spent the day getting to know her stepchildren and catching up with her children. By the end the other children of Zeus all knew they finally had a mother figure in their life.

That night Metis was resting on the bed when Zeus walked in. He smiled and came over.
"How was your day my love?" Metis smiled and spoke.
"It was fine my king." He chuckled and got on the bed, giving her a kiss. Metis put her hand on his cheek and smiled.
"Hi." He chuckled and spoke.
"Hello." Zeus got over her and kissed her deeply. He pushed her back a little. Metis put her hands on his chest and spoke.
"Zeus. We do not need anymore children right now." Zeus smirked and spoke.
"I wasn't thinking about that but now that you mention that......"
"Zeus I'm serious. No." He got over and kissed her deeply. She giggled and laid down. Zeus brushed her sides with his fingers and smiled.
"You are gorgeous." Metis smiled and spoke.
"You are handsome my husband." She flipped them over and took her shirt off. Zeus put his hands on her back then moved them down as they kissed. Zeus kissed her neck then went lower. Soon he had his wife moaning in pleasure. He flipped their positions and quickly the two disposed of the remaining clothes. Zeus moved and entered his wife causing her to moan. They moved quicker and quicker till they reached their limit.

Once they were done they laid in bed just relaxing.

Zeus took his hand and rubbed circles in her back. Metis smiled and curled into him, falling asleep quickly. Things would never be the same but they were getting better for the king and his queen.
