Hi low everyone. New story time. Hope you enjoy. This is a original story I came came up with a while ago but never published. I don't own Greek Mythology only my oc's. Bye and enjoy.

Narrator pov
The queen of Olympus was in her bed giving birth to her and Zeus' first child. Everyone was excited.

Zeus was behind his wife holding her.
" You are doing fine my love. Just one more push." Metis squeezed her husband's hands and screamed. Soon they heard a baby cry.
" She's here Metis. A baby girl." Hestia said. Metis smiled and looked up at her husband. Zeus kissed her head and smiled.
" Our sweet girl. Our Athena." The baby girl looked up at her mother and father and giggled. Her grey eyes were shinning brightly. Metis smiled and kissed her daughter's head.
" Hi my sweet girl. Welcome to the world." She gurgled happily and snuggled into her mother. Zeus smiled and spoke.
" Get some rest my love." Metis nodded and gave Zeus their daughter. One thing was certain. The little princess of Olympus was going to be spoiled rotten.

Many years later
Many years had passed and Metis and Zeus had had three children. Athena had grown into a beautiful young lady and was every bit her mother's daughter and because of that she was the apple of her father's eye. Ares had a little bit of both his parents but was mainly his father's son but he was a huge mama's boy. Hephaustus was every bit his mother's child and preferred being by his mother's side all the time.

Metis was sitting on a couch reading when suddenly she heard a noise. She sighed and got up, going over to the window. Metis looked down to see her children playing and chasing each other. A smile touched the queen's face as she watched her children play. Suddenly she heard a noise behind her. She spun around only to be stabbed in the stomach. As she dropped to the ground she saw the culprit. Her murderer.

Sometime later Zeus entered his wife's study to find her on the ground bleeding heavily. Zeus rushed over and pulled her into his arms.
" Metis!" The queen opened her eyes weakly and smiled weakly.
" Zeus." The king of the gods got very angry.
" Who did this?" Metis shook her head.
" I don't know. It was all so quick my love." Zeus picked his wife up and took her to their room.

He layed her on the bed than called for his sister Hestia, who came quickly along with Demeter and Posiedon. Hestia rushed over and tried to heal her sister in law. But it was no use. The weapon had been made to kill the gods. Just then the three children of Zeus burst in. When they saw the looks on the faces of their father and aunts and uncle they froze. Athena rushed over and went to the other side of her mother.
"Mother. Please. Don't leave me. Don't leave us." Metis smiled gently and put her hand in her daughter's.
" I'm sorry my little wisdom but I have to leave you. I'm afraid I won't survive this." Hades by now had come in and looked beyond worried. Zeus spoke to his brother.
" Hades. Please. Isn't there something that can be done?" Hades shook his head.
" There is nothing I can do brother. I'm sorry." Ares and Hephaustus were both sitting by their mother and trying not to shed tears. Metis spoke.
" My children. Please look after each other and your father. He'll need you now." Ares spoke.
" Mother. We will find out who did this. I swear to you we will."
" I know my warrior. I know." Metis looked to her husband and weakly lifted her hand to him. He took it and knelt down.
" Please don't leave me. I need you by my side." Metis smiled and squeezed his hand weakly.
" I'm sorry my king. Maybe one day we shall meet again." Zeus leaned over and kissed his wife for the last time than she died.

Olympus went into mourning for a very long time. Eventually Zeus, reluctantly, remarried and he had more children but not with his second wife, Hera. Hera changed the stories so Metis was only the mother of Athena and she had been killed by Zeus in fear of a prophecy. Hera became the mother of Ares and Hephaustus to the mortals. But all the gods and goddesses never forget the true story. Little did any of them know the fates took pity and took Metis' soul, allowing it to be reborn into a new body. The king would get to be with his queen once again.

Many many centuries later
Today was just another ordinary day for Sophie Adams. She owned and operated a small café in New York City and loved every minute of it. Yes today was a ordinary day but it wasn't. Sophie felt like something big was going to happen today.

After getting dressed for the day Sophie went out to go to her café.

When she made it she opened the door and did the opening stuff before the rest of her staff came in, helping her immediately.

Time passed and soon it was the afternoon. It was slow and Sophie was cleaning up a little when the doorbell rang. She turned and saw two young women there.

Sophie smiled and spoke.
" Hello. Is there something I can do for you?" The blond haired girl smiled and spoke.
" We're fine right now. Thank you." Sophie smiled and nodded, going back to work.

Artemis looked at her sister standing there frozen. She elbowed Athena and whispered in Greek.
" What is it?"
" She's my mother. She's been reborn." Artemis was shocked.

She had heard stories of Metis but had never met her. It was before her time. Athena had told her how they never discovered who killed Metis and that is why their father was so prone to anger most of the time.

Artemis spoke.
" Go talk to her."
"She doesn't remember me Artemis." The huntress scowled and spoke.
" That doesn't matter. Go." When Athena still hesitated Artemis sighed and spoke.
" Athena you've always been my best and closest friend. Take the opportunity given to you now." Athena sighed and went over to where her mother way.

Sophie was finishing up when a voice spoke.
" Excuse me." She looked up and saw the auburn haired girl standing there. Sophie smiled and spoke.
" What is it sweetie?"
" I was wondering if you could help me. I need something for my father but he's......particular." Sophie chuckled and spoke.
" You can say picky you know. But sure. What does he like?" The girl smiled and told Sophie about her father. Sophie smiled and spoke.
" I think I have just the thing." She went to the back than came back with a box.
"Here. This should be perfect."

The girl opened the box and smiled. Loukoumades. A typical greek dessert. She smiled and spoke.
" Thank you. I think he'll love them."
" Of course. Come back anytime and have a good day."
" You also......" Sophie smiled.
" Sophie." The girl smiled and spoke.
" Katie."

Once Athena had payed she left with Artemis and they went back to Olympus. Athena went quickly to find her brothers. Ares would be overjoyed at the idea of their mother being back.

Athena found them in the same place for once. In their mother's study. Athena went over to greet her brothers. Ares looked up and saw the excited state his sister was in.
" What is it sister?"
" Artemis and I encountered something odd. Our mother was reborn Ares. She's alive." Ares looked shocked while Hephaustus looked overjoyed.
" She's alive?" Athena nodded.
" She was reborn brother. She's alive and well. And she gave me this when I told her about father." Athena put the box down and Ares opened it. He drew in a sharp breath.
"She knew somehow." Athena nodded and smiled.
" She did. She didn't recognize me but she knew what father would like." Just then the king of the gods came in.

"What are you all doing?" Athena smiled and went over.
" Father. I have a gift for you. I picked it up while Artemis and I were out in the human world." Athena showed him the box and her father froze. He smiled sadly and spoke.
" Thank you sweetie." Athena nodded than spoke.
" There is something else." Athena took his hand and showed him the memory. He looked shocked when he saw everything.
" Impossible."
" It's not father. She's alive." Zeus sighed and put a soft hand on his daughter's head than he left. Athena looked upset so Ares went over.
" It's fine sis. You know dad still loves mom a lot." Athena nodded and sighed.

The next day Zeus talked with Hades and Hestia about what Athena had told him. Hades spoke.
" Zeus. If she was reborn than you should go see her."
"And what if she doesn't remember me Hades?"
" Then you help her remember. You need this brother. You need her." Hestia sighed and spoke.

"I always wanted her to be happy because she was like a sister to me. She was happiest when she was with you brother." Zeus was about to argue so Hades spoke.
" Take this chance brother. Bring your wife back to where she belongs." Zeus sighed and nodded his head.
" Very well."

Meanwhile Ares and Hephaustus had gone down to where their mother was. They wanted to see her for themselves.

When they entered the cafe they saw their mother working quietly behind the counter.

When they walked up Sophie looked up. She smiled and spoke.
" I'm guessing your sister Katie sent you." Ares was shocked.
" How did you know she was our sister?" Sophie chuckled and spoke.
" You have similar features and also the way you carry yourselves." Ares smiled and spoke.
" We wanted to thank you for the treats. They made our father happy." Sophie smiled wryly.
" You make it sound like that's rare." Hephaustus spoke.
" He hasn't really been happy since our mother was murdered."
" I'm sorry." Ares spoke.
" We never found who did it but those treats made him smile. Our mother used to make lots of things but those were her favorite to make." Sophie smiled and came out from behind the counter.
" I'm glad your father liked it." Sophie talked some more with the boys before they left.

Once they had left Sophie sighed. She knew who they were the minute they walked in. She could never mistake her sons. The truth was that the night before her memories had returned. She knew her children needed to be protected from the truth at least for a little bit. The problem was Zeus would know she was lying the minute he met her. He always knew except for that once. This was going to be difficult for the reborn goddess and she knew it.
