"You can't blame me for Prada."

-C O R Y-
"You lied to us. How could you not tell us you're experiencing dizzy spells? We're your doctors!"
Catlin paced around on her second rant of the day. Only lord knows how she's capable of making run-on sentences without being out of breath.
"God knows what's going on inside your body."
I caught a glance of her flailing arms, but that soon went away as my head was ducked into the trash bin on the opposite side of the room.
My stomach was in knots to say the least.
A worker at Jitters found me passed out on the stairs and I was nearly on edge to being exposed when he offered to call the ambulance. It was a bad excuse but I waved it off with a 'don't worry, I realized vodka and peanut butter don't mix well.' And was sent home early as a sick day.
I'm just happy he didn't tell the boss. I'm hanging onto this job by a thread. A very tiny and weak thread.
"Caitlin can you stop moving so much, your not making me feel any better."
Allen's eyes wandered over my hunched figure and crinkles in his forehead appeared as he raised both brows. "What's wrong with her?"
"Never mind that," Caitlin snapped her fingers to gain back Allen's attention, but only partially. "Your cells are in a constant state of flux-"
"My body's in a constant state of flux." I mumbled, except it was much louder than a mumble and for once I didn't intend it to.
Caitlin's right hand found its way to her hip and I knew I've done wrong. She's already in a agitated mood so it's better not to poke the bear. Unless your me who's oblivious to everything and doesn't just poke the bear but rather stabs it.
"I'm sorry, are you coughing up blood?"
I looked back into the trash just to see chunks of vomit jumbled with some lost motivation and self deprivation. "N-not yet."
"Well until then, your fine." My barf would like to says otherwise.
"You could be experiencing cardiopulmonary failure or a transient ischemic attack." Viewing the frantic figure that is Caitlin Snow from afar you could tell she's been hanging around Dr. Wells too much for anyone's liking. She's catching on to the annoying habit of overcomplicating her words to sound smarter.
If we can't handle one Harrison, what makes you think we would want two?
Barry seemed to be confused and looked to Wells for help.
"Mini stroke," He answered. His face contorted into thought for less than a millisecond. "Probably not."
I couldn't take the bile in the back of my throats much longer. My intestines couldn't keep themselves in their rightful place and much more preferred to escape out of my mouth.
My figure rolled into a ball and groaned loudly before Caitlin had the opportunity to spite Allen with another angry statement.
"No seriously, are you okay?!"
In response I groaned louder before pointing an accusing finger at Cisco. "How can I be when this idiot poisoned me?" He held his hands up as to say he had no clue what I was rambling about to the puzzling expressions Allen and Wells sent his way, but I'm not delusional.
"You-your the monster that made that." I aimed at my purse on the desk next to computer monitors.
Cisco shrugged. "You can't blame me for Prada, Cory."
"Not that," the four of them watched as I blatantly dragged myself on the floor to reach my purse with no advancement to even help me. Doesn't matter if I'm being dramatic they're ruthless when it comes to crippled people. The relationship between Wells and I speaks volumes.
The bag fell on it's side and half the contents spilled. But my eyes were trained on the horrific thing that put me in this predicament in the first place. "This."
Cisco crossed his arms as he watched me raise the energy bar he created with distaste. "Really."
"Yeah really. Have you eaten this thing? It taste like literal crap." Caitlin growled out to the air in obvious frustration before stiffly strutting away in the heels I gave her. "Honestly, if a cow shitted on the floor, this is what it'd taste like." No one takes me seriously nowadays.
From the corner Cisco tsked in the direction of my figure which continued to sprawl across the ground then handed Wells the tablet he held. "I haven't seen Caitlin that angry since Cory and Ronnie did you know what."
"Blowing up the billboard was not my idea."
"Didn't say it was."
But he's thinking it. He's definitely thinking it. This is why I stopped visiting as much before the particle accelerator project was even an idea in action. Somehow, someway, something absurd seem to always occur when I was here. And half the time people wouldn't believe me when I said it wasn't my fault.
That and Dr. Wells limited my visiting hours because he couldn't, 'handle the stress.'
"Ronnie was Caitlin Fiance," Allen looked between Wells and I for assurance. "The one that died during the acceleration explosion?" I nodded after propping my back against Cisco's workstation. But before I even had the chance to reply Wells instead answered with a, "Yeah he is...missed."
My brows furrowed to the hesitation at the last part. Ronnie was missed along with Ellie and Taco. So what if we didn't grieve twenty-four-seven? Well-Cisco does plenty of grieving. Saying they weren't missed would be the biggest lie of the century.
"Now let's figure out why this is happening to you." And with that, Harrison wheeled off to find where it is Caitlin huffed to, I'm guessing. Allen slid off the gurney he was set upon, buttoning his shirt all the way.
"So how was it?" I said catching his attention.
He stared at me for a solid thirty seconds "Huh?" He must have plenty of things on his mind.
"The ceremony for Stagg. Iris mentioned it at Jitters before leaving to get you." My hand motioned over the suit and tie that was laid out.
"Oh right...right-that," Instead of giving me a solid answer, he turned his back towards me and fiddled with his hands. It was obvious he wasn't in the mood for small talk. But I thought since the whole meta human dilemma we would be comfortable enough to have one.
Then papers abruptly fell to the floor In a swaying manner and I was met with a chilled wind.
How long do you think it'll take before someone here gets the brilliant idea to buy some paper weights?
"What was that?" I've been in this building surrounded by these strange people long enough to acknowledge when there hiding something. They all have there tells.
Cisco eats to avoid any actual conversation. Caitlin rants to the point where you get tired of hearing her voice and give up-something she truly shouldn't be proud of. And Wells-He's came out the womb shady, his tell is in simple terms everything regarding him. But with Allen, despite not knowing him for as long, I think I might've figured it out. He acts dumb and answers questions with more questions.
"What was what?"
"That thing you did with your speed, what was it?"
"What speed?"
"The one you got after being struck by lightning."
"Lightning? I don't see any lightning, do you?"
My mouth hung a gape ready to curse Allen with all the forbidden words of the Bible. But God himself was on his side as before I seized the opportunity Harrison called out for me in the hallway.
"Cory!" He said. "Get out here, we need your help."
Honestly, I could whine and groan-Hell I might just break into crocodile tears, but it'd be no use as it doesn't change the fact, everyone here are jerks.

After I realized I gained superpowers, I envisioned I'd use it to help mankind, and never wait in lines at the grocery store again-not stacking towers of boxes like they're giant lego block sets.
I've seen the S.T.A.R Labs logo enough times to want to admit myself into an asylum.
"Alright, your all set!" Allen looked at the boxes with as much distaste as I did before sending my floating figure a confused glance.
A beep sounded though the speakers planted on the ceiling before Cisco's voice poured out. "It's a little padding," Allen turned to face the prolonged window in which Caitlin, Wells, and Cisco subsided them to the opposite side of. His eyes widened a fraction along with a drop of his mouth. "Just in case..." Cisco nodded as if that helped calm any nerves.
I scoffed "I don't understand. Why couldn't you guys just get a ladder?" There was one last box to put away at the very top so the entire wall could be complete, and I'm tired of looking at it.
Wells took control of the monitors in the control room beside this one. "Why would we when we have you?"
You didn't need eyes to tell he said that with an annoyingly sweet smile-not a genuine one, I'm positive any human emotion other than pride is against his morals.
"Calm down, Wells. We all no you can't climb a ladder, no need to get salty about it." With or without the wheelchair, Harrison was never known to be a hands on working type of person so it's a safe bet he's never been on a ladder in general. If he wasn't so damn smart, he wouldn't know the difference between a hammer and screwdriver.
Wells, being his stiff self, didn't find my quip to be funny. When does he ever?
With the straightest face he could muster he leaned to the microphone and stared past my eyes like he unlocked the window to my soul.
"I'm taking you out of my will."
"Holy shit, I was in it?!"
I'd be lying if I said the surprise on my face was another one form of my infamous sarcasm.
"Are you sure about this, Cisco?" Allen called out as his gaze wandered over the treadmill centered in the room.
Out of everything that's happened he's hesitant about this? I hope he knows it already too late; he's neck deep in this disturbingly strange group we call a gang. With us around, the unexpected should very much be expected.
"Most home treadmills have a maximum speed of about..." Cisco clicked his tongue in thought. "Twelve miles per hour. But this one has been Cisco'ed."
"Oh lord, that sounds terrifying." I muttered beneath my breath. My mind automatically flashed back to the last thing to be Cisco'ed-the crappy energy bars. I shivered. My natural reaction to the death in a nutshell was literal chills down my spine. If that thing isn't evidence that hell is real, I don't what is.
Luckily Cisco ignored me, to be expected, and rolled his eyes. "Trust me, it can handle your speed."
Barry shook his head in a manner that questioned, 'What am I doing with my life?'
I'd know, I experience that feeling at least once a day. But he's still here, in this abandoned laboratory-home to an overgrown man child, the human version of grumpy cat, and sporadic anger emoji. That's a sign that he's accepted his fate with us. He's accepted this is what his life has come to.
Allen started out in a light jog, but no less in under a minute did his speed Increase rapidly. His legs had gone into a blur while segments of yellow electricity conducted around him.
My attention was captured as this Is the first I've seen Allen run this close and we weren't busy stopping a tornado destroying the city or rescuing people from a burning building. The tips of my feet slowly settled to the ground along with my playful attitude because what can I say-the scientist in me is intrigued.
"Barry, we think we know why you keep-"
Second time.
This is the second time Allen has rammed into me. Doesn't matter if it's by accident, this six foot giant leaves bruises.
When we collided, our backs smacked plain against the boxes and although I doubted myself for ever saying this in the future- I'm happy they were there to soften our falls.
Allen laid unconscious across my abdomen as hundreds of packing peanuts combusted out of the cardboard and littered the sky, some landing spots in my hair.
Oh wonderful, the nausea I felt from earlier is making a righteous comeback.
Despite both of our injured positions the beep sounded in the speakers again, signaling someone was about to speak.
"Passing out..." Wells had trouble saying through his cackling towards the misfortunate.
[Unedited]
I think this turned out ok. I can't tell, it's too late at night-that time when bad decisions are made
But Even though this Wells turned out to be evil I still love his and Cory's relationship. Like none this is planned until the moment I write it.
If you liked this chapter than don't forget to vote, comment, and all that jazz because I really do appreciate it.
