"Thomas-Brodie Sangster is always a good idea."
⚡⚡⚡

-C O R Y-

"I still don't seem to understand why I have to be here. Allen was the one bitching about everything."

I sat uncomfortably in the old foldable chair next to an equally rickety plastic table.

Laid upon the surface was over a dozen S.T.A.R Lab equipments that couldn't hold my attention span for more than three seconds, even if it tried.

"For once In my life, I'm agreeing with Cory on this one." Caitlin said and I gasped. I wasn't sure which to be more surprised about. The fact that we agreed on something or the fact she had the tits to admit it.

I rolled my eyes for what seemed to be the umpteenth time today and crossed my arms, continuing to slump even further in my seat. I didn't care if my back was beginning to hurt at the moment, making my statement on my non needed presence was clearly a bigger priority.

"You dont believe he can actually run that fast, do you?" Caitlin asked as she stood next to Dr. Wells. You could tell by the look on her face and the way her voice carried out that she was desperate for the rest of the team to agree with her and her realistic thinking for once.

"Well," Dr. Wells started, typing things into his computer. "I believe anyhting is possible, and in a few minutes maybe you will too."

Caitlin looked up from the black tablet in her arms with an open mouth as if it would help us realize how absolutely ridiculous all of us sounded.

I would care if I knew what was going on.

Cisco walked over to the RV. "How does it fit?"

And just when I thought my day couldn't get any better when the crew practically kidnapped me to an abandoned runway, out walked Allen in one of the most hilarious looking outfits my eyes ever laid their sights on so far in my life.

"It's a little snug." Allen admitted. And 'A little snug' indeed. To be honest, 'a little' is probably the biggest understatement of the year.

"Well hopefully you'll be moving so fast no can see you." Cisco comforted, leading him to the front.

"See, you thought the world was slowing down. It wasn't. You were moving so fast it only looked like everyone else was standing still."

I'm more confused than I usually am, and I don't like being confused period. Now I'm kind of regretting that nap. But Thomas Brodie-Sangster is always a good idea. Besides it was possibly the best sleep I've had since the whole coma thing.

I stood up, fishing through my back pocket in search for my phone.

"Dr. Wells will be monitoring your energy output, Caitlin your vitals," Cisco motioned behind him at the two before glancing back at Allen. "And Cory will be your un-motivational supporter."

"Is that what I'm actually here for?" Why do I bother asking. I get ignored so much, my name should be terms and conditions.

"What do you do?"

The regular goofy grin returned to Cisco's lips. He was enjoying the bizarre situation way too much. And ill admit, It was pretty freakin' adorable.

"I make the toys, my man. Check it." Cisco pulled a lighting bolt decorated headset. "This is a two-way head seat with a camera I modifed. Typically. designed to combat battlefield impulse noise, or in your case potential sonic booms."

"Which would be awesome, if I knew what the fuck was going on." I interjected from the sidelines. My fingers fiddled around my apps on the screen for the camera.

"Note to self" I muttered. "Empty out clutter on phone."I have a strange feeling it would come in handy later on.

Cisco took off Allen's stupid helmet and googles-which contributed to Allen's embarrising outfit perfectly- just as Caitlin strutte over with her tablet still in hand.

Her thin and pale fingers gracefully tapped a couple buttons on the belt tied around Allen's waist. Even though she never bothered to look up, stare was very blunt.

"What?"

"Nothing. I just noticed you don't smile much."

Caitlin continued to type some things into the tablet to secure Allen's resting vitals with a straight face. Although everyone knew there was a likely chance she would explode even bigger then the particle accelerator.

"My once promising career in bioengineering is over, my boss is in a wheelchair for life, one of my good friend has a possibility of something drastically wrong with her, and the explosion that put you in a coma also killed my fiance. So this blank expression kind of feels like the way to go."

"Wait a minute, is there something wrong with me?!" Guess who got ignored again. This girl.

I slowly walked up to Allen, after Caitlin returned to her spot at the table, hoping to get a better angle. "Man oh man do I love blackmail."

"You wouldn't." Allen dared, but it was too late.

"I already did."

His hands reached for the phone several times but I snickered and stopped him from taking it.

"This won't decide to make an apperance in public, will it?"

"Of course not." He looked relieved while exhaling a relaxed breath.

"I'm saving this for a very special occasion." I snickered.

"You're bluffing." Allen challenged.

My left brow quirked in amusment.
"Go ahead and think that if you want. But just remember, you ate my lunch. And karma's a bitch."

Cisco returned back to Allen, placing the helmet back on him with a fearful look. He saw Allen's smile and shook his head furiously.

"You shouldn't be taking her threats so lightly. If there's one thing you should now about Cory, she doesn't bluff. Take it from me, I made the mistake of waking her up one morning."

"What'd she do?"

Cisco unconsciously rubbed his forhead. "Let's just say it took weeks for my eyebrows to grow back in."

"Mr. Allen," Dr. Wells called out. "While I am extremely eager to determine your full range of abilities, I do caution restraint."

Allen nodded in understanding and Cisco patted his back one last time.

"If this doesn't kill you, she will."

And with that Cisco left to sit next to the very girl he feared yet loved as a friend at the same time; me.

As if to ease the anger towards the man in a unitard, Cisco handed over a case of McDonald fries. My smile showed him how thankful I was.

Than the unmentionable happened. A gust of wind blew all of it on the ground. At the same time Allen made his way down the concrete.

He's one hell of a brave bitch to make a move like that.

I'm not sure what we're here to prove but I'll be damned, I'm shocked to say I'm glad I was dragged here by my will.

Cisco and I were sprawled on the dust with star struck faces. But he bounced back up quicker than I did. Crunching all of my French fries in the process. Bastard.

"He just passed two-hundred knots per hour." Holding up the meter Cisco let out another ear to ear manchester smile. "Wicked..."

My head was swimming though, and I couldn't hold my gaze on one thing for too long. One, because I could barely see anything as it is. Everyone and everything was a gigantic blurry blob. And secondly , I'm certain no one was in the mood to see me vomit.

Landing with a thud I decided to give up on trying to stand and lolled my head left to right with my eyes shut tight.

"Ugh. Someone take me to a mental institution. I could've sworn Allen actually ran faster than the speed of sound."

Caitlin rolled her eyes, I don't need my ability of sight to figure that out. "That's because you did you big doof. Barry brought you when he talked to us about his supposed idea that the accelerator made him super fast."

I gave her a dimwitted expression. "You didn't actually believe I was gonna stay awake during that, did you?"

She thought over things for a few seconds then coming to realization, sighed. "Of course not."

My eyes were still closed because of the heavy dizzy spell I was still under. I could also feel the big wad of dust invading my nose when Allen sprinted. Caitlin took one of my arm and threw it around her shoulder as I hacked a cough into the other.

"Woah, are you alright there, Corny?" I wanted to scoff at one of the many ridiculously stupid nicknames I was handed down by Cisco. He was the worst when it came to naming things. If you need proof why not just ask his pet hamster, Taco.

Thank God Allen wasn't blessed with super hearing. I wouldn't be able to live it down.

"Just...peachy." Caitlin, my only support, suddenly dropped me like a hot potato to fend for my own. I wobbled on my own two legs and gave everyone a weak smile to gain their reassurance but I'm pretty sure that went down the drain when I sneezed. And not just any ordinary sneeze. A sneeze powerful enough to knock my entire backside against the side of the RV. No exaggeration included.

I felt the metal bend beneath my body, the windows crushing since it couldn't stand the abrupt pressure, and heard dozens of shocked gasps. I didn't make a peep because of how much pain I was in. That and I didn't want to attract the snake that was underneath the car and decided in that very moment to slither out.

Another scream sounded. One much more faint and manly to be mines. Down the runway a couple hundred feet away, Allen crashed into jugs of water placed in the middle.

Why it was there? The world will never know.

"Pft. Who's the doofus now?" I murmured.

At least my sarcasm wasn't bruised. That's what's really important. I'm looking out for my territory that way we-know-who in a wheelchair won't steal it.

"Yeah, now we're definitely gonna have to run a few trials on you."

⚡⚡⚡

When Allen was brought back to the dented RV, his hand was the center of attention. It was bent in a unnatural way along with his fingers. He looked in pain, but not as much as I was.

My head had to be wrapping because it was bleeding radically and I was covered above the belt with bandages for the cuts I received.

"I gotta admit, Allen, that was pretty freaking cool what you did out there. You were like a blur until you know..." My attempt to force down a small chuckle failed, miserably. Doesn't matter if it hurt while doing it, it was funny. That small chuckle formed into something so much more.

Disturbingly funny you might describe it.

"Tripped."

As I stood there breathlessly cackling, the sound of motorized wheels slower than my broken treadmill parked by my side.

Dr. Wells cleared his throat- unintentionally scaring the crap out of me- and said with eyes glued to the tablet in his hands, "While we calculate Barry's results, Cisco, why don't you prepare Cory for her testing."

"What? You're joking right?!"

Dr. Wells placed the tablet in his lap and folded his arms in swift movements before shooting me that look that made my skin crawl.

"Considering you were trapped in your own gravity chamber when the accelerator exploded means you could be very well eligible to have your genetic DNA altered like Barry here. Why else do you think we brought you along?"

"Brought?!" Is that what they saw it as? "More like taken against my will!"

But Dr. Wells simply laughed, already turning away and focusing his attention back onto the tablet. "Oh don't be so dramatic." Hypocrite.

My brow raised. "You don't call breaking into my apartment, throwing me into a potato bag," I shot Cisco a sarcastic look knowing he did the dirty deed. He countered back with a confused one. "Thanks by the way. I can't seem to wash this french fry smell off."

"Try using corn starch, it-" My glare made his jaw crawl back on to it's hinges and lock shut.

"And tossing me into your van dramatic?" I finished.

Dr. Wells continued to wheel away from the conversation. "That never happened."

"Knowing you guys, it very well could've." We both knew it was a stupid comeback so I admittedly hung my head in shame. This man had me tounge tide for all the wrong reasons.

I heard a sniffle on my right. "Why do you smell like French fries?"

"Long story..."

Allen reached for my elbow and held it gently. "If it makes you feel any better, that French fry smell is really attractive."

Shaking my head I simply ignored him. I mean what else can you expect from a boy. They're stupid. And whenever they open their mouths, stupid comes out.

"What sort of tests should I be prepared for exactly?" I questioned. "And why do I have to do them?"

"Cory floated. In mid air she floated." Allen replied. I rolled my eyes. See, more stupid.

"Are we really gonna listen to this guy? He's obliviously delusional."

"You're delusional if you really think we're just gonna drop this." Caitlin said.

"So what, You think I can fly or something? What are you gonna do, push me off a building..."

Pairs of eyes lit up instantly. I shook my head rapidly for their idiotic  behavior and mines.

"That's not happening!"

Allen stood up. "We don't know for sure what's going on with Cory-"

"Dr. Cory to you."

He rolled his eyes. "With Dr. Cory so why not just take her to the lab before we start any physical tests that could potentially kill her."

I nodded my head. "See he's the only one making sense around here, thank you."

"I thought I was delusional?"

He gave me a look, expecting something he's never gonna get. Ever. Something like an apology.

"I take it back. We could've been friends, but I see no hope of that happening now."

"But I complimented you on your smell!"

I crossed my arms, turning away from him and held my chin up high. "Your a man with an obsession for junk food. Of course you of all people would find it enchanting."

Barry leaned over my head from behind, sniffing my hair causing me to glower.

After I caught him in the act he faked a cough and moved away instinctively then guilty said, "Touché."
