The Golf War-Part Three.
Stan stood outside the fence, as he waited for the others to finish. He was looking up at the night sky, his gaze distant. A frown painted his face, when he eyed the crescent moon.
"Sup', Stan."
"AH!" Stan gasped, then turned to the one who had spoken.
Wendy stood before him, giving him a curious look, and the Day Guardian relaxed.
"Oh, it's you, Wendy," Stan breathed. "For a second, I assumed you were some sociopathic hobo."
"Only in my dreams," Wendy smiled.
The elderly man looked at her quizzically. "So, what are you doing here, if you don't mind me asking. I thought you were with the others."
Wendy shrugged. "Yeah, long story short, they just formed an alliance with some miniature people with golf balls for heads."
"Why am I not surprised?" Stan sighed.
"Anyway, I thought I'd chill here with you for a bit," She said. "You know, until the craziness dies down."
"Be my guest, Wendy," He responded, before the redhead settled beside him.
They stood together in comfortable silence for a bit, before they were met with a new arrival. Walking towards them, was Pacifica in her golf attire, and by the looks of it, she wasn't alone. A man walked behind her, holding all her golf gear.
"How nice of you to greet me like this," Pacifica said, sarcastically. "I assume Mabel is here and getting ready to lose?"
"Pacifica, how nice to see your fake blonde hair again," Wendy sneered, then glanced at the man. "Who's this? Are you holding him hostage or something?"
"This is Sergei, my trainer," Pacifica remarked. "He's here to carry my things."
"The Sportylmpics had mini-golf once, I took gold!" Sergei announced, showing his gold medal that hung around his neck.
"What a lovely shiny object, that I'm definitely going to steal later," Stan grinned.
"Thank you, sir," Sergei said.
"Anyway," Pacifica started, smirking in Wendy's direction. "We'll be going now."
Wendy narrowed her eyes. "You know, Mabel isn't going to like you if you keep bringing her down."
In an instant, a blush surged across the blonde's face. She scoffed, and walked passed Wendy. "As if, I care."
Stan and Wendy watched as Pacifica made her way towards the park's entrance, with her trainer following close behind.

"Mabel, are you sure about this?" Will questioned. "This is technically cheating."
"Don't think of it as cheating," Mabel said. "Think of it as...uh..a convenient stroke of luck."
"But--"
"Guys, Llama has arrived," Bill said, pointing to the entrance.
He was correct, as the group saw Pacifica coming their way. The blonde lady approached Mabel, before pausing before her.
"Never thought you'd actually show up," Pacifica spat. "You must have something up your sleeve, if you think you can win this competition."
"Oh, you can say we have a little something," Mabel said, then winked at the others.
On that time, a Lilliputtian popped out from Will's sleeve, and the boy's eyes widened. "AH! HOW DID YOU GET IN--"
Bill placed a hand over Will's mouth, while Pacifica shot them a suspicious look. Bill chuckled nervously. "Don't mind my brother, he's going through some mood swings, average teenage boy stuff, I swear."
Pacifica narrowed her eyes, but then directed her attention back at Mabel. "Let's get this thing over with. Sergei!"
The man stepped in between the two. "Eighteen holes. Standard rules. Winner lives in glory, loser wallows in eternal shame. Ready...get set...MINI-GOLF!"
Soon after, the competition began. Pacifica and Mabel started at the cowboy hole. Pacifica putted first, her ball rolling forward. It almost entered the hole, but a miniature cartwheel blocked it.
"What!?" Pacifica spat.
Mabel grinned, then placed down her own ball. She putted, and her ball moved towards the hole, before stopping inches away from it. Pacifica chuckled under her breath, and Mabel shot a glance at the miniature water tower in her sights. A Lilliputtian was inside, and he aimed a gun at the ball, before taking shot. This caused the ball to propel straight into the hole.
Pacifica gaped, but then scowled when Mabel shot her a smirk.
At the pirate hole, Mabel was putting her ball into a pirate ship model. A second later, it shot out of a cannons, straight into the hole.
"Out of the way!" Pacifica spat, placing down her ball. She smacked it with her club, but it ended up being shot back right at her, landing in her mouth. She growled, spitting the ball out. "Are you serious!?"
She stomped off, and Mabel shot the pirate Lilliputtians a thumbs up.
Next, was the miner hole, and Mabel was busy hitting a ball towards the fake mine, while her friends watched from the sidelines.
"Huh, so this is the miner hole that Franz was talking about," Dipper said, looking at the tiny mine surrounded by fake crystals. "It looks kinda cute."
"Yeah, I wonder what cute, silly things are going on down there," Will smiled, holding the score card.
They watched as the ball rolled into the entrance of the miniature mine. Meanwhile, inside the mine, two miner Lilliputtians were busy loading the ball inside a cart. They were about to move it down the track, when another Lilliputtian confronted them.
"Stop!" He yelled. "There's been a gas leak, anyone who goes down there will die!"
All the miner Lilliputtians gathered, and murmured fearfully. The group parted, when a large Lilliputtian stepped forward.
"I'll go," He said, gruffly.
"No, don't do it, Big Henry!" A little girl cried, running up and hugging him. "We need you here!"
"Go home, Polly," Big Henry said, before making his way towards the cart.
He left the other miners behind, as he pushed the cart down the tracks. The gas clouds grew thicker, and sweat beaded down his head. His breathing became heavy, and he slapped himself when he grew drowsy.
"Come on, Big Henry!" He told himself. "You can do this!"
Finally, he made it to the end of the tracks. Big Henry pushed the cart on an elevator platform, before pressing the button. As the it shot upwards, he collapsed into a tired heap. He reached into his pocket, before pulling out a piece of paper. It was a drawn picture of him and Polly. He smiled, tearing up, before growing completely still.
Meanwhile, the ball rolled out of the mine, before entering the hole.
"Yes!" Mabel celebrated, and Pacifica groaned.
"Okay, why did that ball take two minutes to come out?" Bill questioned, and Dipper and Will shrugged.
Pacifica growled, then whirled towards her trainer. "Sergei! Soda, now!" She ordered, before walking off, with Sergei following her.
After she left, Mabel and the others gathered around the miner hole. Mabel lifted the lid off the mine, and smiled down at the Lilliputtians.
"Guys, that was amazing!" She beamed.
"You guys did a great job," Bill agreed. "Also, I don't know why that little girl is crying, but I'm going to assume it's tears of joy."
Polly was sobbing hysterically, while a couple of older Lilliputtians comforted her. Bill gave her a thumbs up. "You go, girl...yeah...I'm gonna ignore that."
"Hey, I know it's too early to tell," Mabel smiled, pointing to her sticker. "But the miners might be getting one of these in their near future." The miners cheered in response.
However, Mabel and the others were unaware that they were being watched by Franz from the windmill. He growled, pushing away from the telescope.
"Are you kidding me!?" He yelled. "After everything we worked for!"
"Calm yourself, Franz," Another Lilliputtian said. "Perhaps, we should move on to Plan B?"
Franz smiled. "You're right, maybe there is another way we can win the hugeling's favor. Knock on wood."
The two knocked on their wooden shoes.
