Nina P.O.V

"Pass it! Pass it!" I shouted as I ran across the playground.

"Over here!" I heard Iris shouting from the other side, I quickly shot back at Sam as she kicked the ball towards Iris.

"Nina!" I looked back at Iris as she called my name "Take your shot!" She shouted passing the ball towards me.

I slowed my pace as the ball came in contact with my foot, as soon as I was in charge I fastened my pace again towards the net.

I kicked the ball with all my power as it came straight into the net scoring our third goal.

Huh, fail defence.

"Goal!!" I shouted along with my team as the game ended before we all group hugged.

"Guys practice tomorrow at 7 don't be late" I shouted to my girls.

"See you tomorrow Nina, good game " Iris said folding her shirt and putting her watter bottle a side.

"Thanks " I said high fiveing her.

I placed my bag on my bed before taking off my shoes and jogging to the bathroom.

I went in for a shower as the cold water went down my hair getting rid of all the sweat, so refreshing.

I went out pulling up my sweatpants and a shirt on before going down for dinner.

Taking my steps out of the kitchen after getting a glass of water I took my seat on the dining table with mom and dad.

"Hey sweetie,"

"Hey Nina,"

Mom and dad greeted "hey mom, dad" I nodded my head at them smiling.

As we started eating I felt the atmosphere heavier than usual, I looked up to find mom and dad exchanging solemn looks.

They kept looking back at each other and were both visibly uninterested in their dinner.

What is happening? Is mom pregnant?

"So how was practice today?" Dad broke the ice asking.

"Well, fine. Actually more than fine. We are mostly ready for the big game in two months. We just need to keep up with our level and fix our defence to even better"

I stopped as I realised that I was ranting.

I looked at mom to find her looking at dad, both looked uneasy about something.

"Well... good!" Mom declared after nearly losing her words.

What the piper is going on?

"Well" dad laughed "Did you ever think of making a new team, Nina?"

"Yes, yes! New team," mom agreed.

"What? No." I frowned "of course not, I love my team"

"Oh" mom laughed, and if I wasn't mistaken it was a nervous laugh.

They looked back at each other, this is creeping me out, shortly they nodded to each other in admission.

"Baby, we need to tell you something" dad started.

I stopped eating and nodded to him, a sign for him to go on.

"We are moving." mom said.

"What?! For how long?"

"I got an offer for a better job, it's a great opportunity for my business carrer. For long I think!" Dad argued

"What's that supposed to mean? When?" I asked

"Next week," Mom said

"That's not fair, what about my Game? My team? Did it ever occur to you how much I have worked to be the captain of the team?" I shouted.

"Nina don't shout," mom glared

"Do you realise what you are saying? You're telling me to move away from everything, including my friends whom I have grown up with" I glare with so much anger.

"I am sorry sweetheart. You are our only child of course we thought about what's best for you. And this job well insure us a better life" Dad said.

"Clearly you didn't " I shouted getting up and running to my room. I know I was harsh with dad but right now I hated everything and I didn't care.

I angerly threw my body on my bed shutting the door harshly, crying. I never was the girl to cry, never been emotional and never will be. No movie made me tear up. No relationship made me weak. No pain affected me.

I was strong, courageous, ambitious, outgoing, sassy, and very rude when I want to.

I never needed someone to help get threw anything; I never will, I always did it on my own.

Since the day I turned 13 I knew what I wanted to be and do, I was always persistent enough to make the impossible possible.

I heard a knock on my door, I groaned my voice sore "leave me alone I don't want to see anyone "
Mom ented dropping a few boxes, " I thought you would need those, I am sorry sweetie " she says softly as she sees my face.

I screamed throwing a pillow on the door she shuts.

Is this it? Am I leaving everything behind? What is the world hiding for me?

Am I starting from ZERO?
