❝ A WAVE OF CRIMSON SWELLS INSIDE ME.
THE RAGING FLOOD IS MY REBIRTH.
I'M SEEING RED.
NOTHING CAN STOP ME NOW. ❞

The two champions turned to the Avengers to see them all pointing their weapons threateningly at Drake, who held his hands up in surrender. Kara took a step in front of him in a protective manner.

"It's okay. He's on our side."

Clint raised his eyebrow at her. "Wasn't he like trying to kill you like an hour ago?"

Drake looked sheepishly at them, a guilty expression on his face.

"I'm sorry, about all this." He gestured to the destruction around them. "It wasn't me. I was being controlled."

Tony furrowed his eyebrows before sighing. "I still don't trust you, but I trust Kara."

Drake nodded. "You don't have to trust me, but I'll do everything I can to make everything right again."

Just then, the ground rumbled beneath them, throwing everyone off balance before golden light flashed in front of them all.

When the light faded, it revealed the Primordial himself, wearing grand, golden armour, his golden eyes glowed with immense power, alongside an army of monsters behind him.

Both the champions quickly stood in a defensive stance in front of the Avengers, glaring murderously at the Primordial, hazel and ocean eyes meeting golden ones. End shook his head in a disappointing manner at his champion.

"I expected better from you, son of Perses, but you were too weak anyways."

Drake growled, tightening his hold on the hilt of the Sword of End and lunged at the Primordial, who smirked, expecting his attack and sidestepped before disarming his own sword out of his champion's hold, kicking him roughly back towards Kara.

End examined his sword, swinging it around in a lazily manner, before looking up at Kara. "It looks like I'll have to kill you myself now."

The daughter of Poseidon barely had time to bring her sword up to block End's strike. The Primordial struck her with blows after blows as the two became a blur to the rest of the Avengers, who were now fighting against the rest of End's army.

Both the legendary swords clashed against each other with a huge thud, causing the ground below them to slightly rumble. The champion of Chaos managed to land a deep cut on End's leg as he side-stepped a second too late, but not before swiping a long gash on her right arm.

Kara managed to recover quickly and moved forward to disarm him, but End saw it coming and sidestepped, smashing his fist against her shoulder with brute force, numbing her arm for a moment and giving him a chance to land a hard kick to her side, sending her flying back several feet away.

End made his way towards the demigod only to get struck by a blast of magenta flames by Drake, who's eyes were now glowing the same shade as his flames. The Primordial glared at his champion.

"Ah, how sweet. Don't worry. After I get rid of her, you're next."

Drake dodged a thrust from End's sword and tried to land a flaming punch at him only to receive a long gash at his leg, causing him to stumble.

The Primordial feigned a strike to Drake's head as the son of Perses went to sidestep but End dropped to a knee and kicked at Drake's legs, knocking his champion's legs out from under as he landed with a hard thud.

End grinned and raised his sword, ready to impale the son of Perses but never got the chance as the daughter of Poseidon slammed a wave of water against him, sending him stumbling backwards a few steps.

Kara jumped at the Primordial of destruction in a series of strikes that End struggled to block. She continued to push forward, trying to overwhelm him until she tried to catch him off guard with a quick strike but End ducked before driving his sword into Kara's ribcage, managing to pierce through a few inches deep before Kara jumped back, clutching her side.

End wasted no time and slashed his sword at Kara's leg, making her yelp in pain as she dropped to her knee. He delivered a roundhouse kick to her face. The demigod's vision turned blurry and her ears started ringing as her face slammed roughly against the ground.

Kara closed her eyes, accepting defeat and ready for the killing blow to free her from all the pain she had been inflicted with. She heard someone scream her name but it didn't matter to her.

She was ready to be free.

But the blow never came. She slowly opened her eyes to see what was taking so long, only to see the son of Perses standing protectively in front of her. Time slowed down in front of her as she helplessly watched End drive his sword through Drake's abdomen.

End pulled his sword out as his champion dropped to his knees, blood spurting through stomach. Kara's eyes widened in shock, letting out a scream of pure anguish and with an unknown boost of strength and adrenaline, she got to her feet and sent a powerful blast of fire straight at the Primordial, catching him in the chest and sending him sprawling across the ground.

Kara dropped to her knees next to the injured demi-titan, cradling him in her arms. "No. No! Why would you do that?!"

Drake coughed, wincing as pain surged through his body. "One had to die, Kara. I couldn't let you die. It had to be me."

Kara shook her head, tears streaming down her face as her voice cracked like glass. "I just got you back. I can't lose you again."

Drake smiled weakly at her. "You won't. I'll always be with you."

He squeezed her hand one last time. "Get him for me. For the both of us ... I believe in you ..."

Kara let out a sob, watching the light fade from Drake's eyes, clutching onto him tightly as she cried. The blow was meant for her, not him. She was supposed to be the one to die, not him. It was all her fault.

It was all because of him.

Rage roared through Kara's body as she took in the lifeless form of her once best friend that she had finally gotten back. Her heart stuttered in her chest as he began to disappear from her arms until there was nothing of him anymore.

Memories of all the people she'd lost throughout her life flash past her eyes. Hunter. Thea. Percy. Annabeth. Silena. Travis. Connor. Jason. Piper. Leo. Drake.

The daughter of Poseidon was shaking.

Shaking with anger, rage and pure hatred. Dark and shattered, raging sea green eyes bored into End's golden ones, who had managed to regain his bearings from the blast, promising revenge.

The ground shook. Literally.

All the Avengers turned to Kara to see her eyes glowing an aquatic inferno. They were filled with rage but were empty at the same time. She had finally snapped.

And no one could heal her.

The daughter of Poseidon growled, the hatred numbing her pain temporarily, and lunged at End in a blink of an eye, throwing a powerful punch to his jaw as a sickening crack could be heard while he stumbled backward to balance his footing.

Kara kept striking him punch after punch, forcing him on defence as he struggled to block her blows.

She tried to launch another powerful punch at him but he saw it coming and ducked to the side, causing the daughter of Poseidon to unbalance her footing, giving him a chance to grab her ankle and throw her across the ground.

Kara managed to regain her footing and sent another powerful blast of fire towards End, who dodged it. The Primordial of destruction grinned dangerously at the demigod as his palms lit up in golden flames.

Aquatic flames collided with golden ones, dispersing into smoke as they clashed, creating a mini-explosion. The two fought in the midst of all the destruction, trying to burn each other with their flames, causing only more chaos around them.

The Primordial of destruction managed to catch Kara off guard, sending a blast of fire towards her, catching her straight in the chest and sending her sprawling across the ground several feet away.

End began to glow more brighter, grinning madly at the champion of Chaos. "You can't beat me in my own domain, champion. And now you'll experience my domain's true power."

His aura began to radiate more powerfully as he slowly raised his hands, causing the ground below them to rumble, throwing everyone off balance as they struggled to regain their footing and covered their eyes from getting blinded from how bright End was glowing.

And suddenly, a huge, bright explosion erupted in the midst of where the Primordial himself was standing. The powerful eruption engulfed everything around it, demolishing everything within a hundred meter radius and sending everyone roughly flying back from the sheer force of the explosion.
