The Living Jewel

Jimin was listening to his brother's rant on why he shouldn't leave him there by himself. On why he shouldn't go anywhere with Jeongguk by himself.

"You're acting like I haven't been by myself with him before." Jimin yawned.

"You have?!"

"Yes! You know this! He rode with me to the castle. Hint hint, me and him, only, alone. I'll be fine." Jimin shook his head as he watched his brother's shocked expression.

There was a knock at the door and Jimin walked to it while Seokjin pulled him back. Jimin eventually got to the door. Whoever was on the other side heard that two brothers arguing playfully as Jimin pulled himself to the door. He eventually opened it to see Jeongguk.

"Hey." Jimin exhaled.

"You seem. . . Busy?"

Jimin shook his head.

"Not at all."

He pulled his arm from Seokjin's and walked out the door followed by Jeongguk.

"Where to?" Jimin asked as they left the palace.

Jeongguk smirked to him, "Secret."

The sun's bright smile was bringing life to all the living green it smiled to. Jeongguk slid down the steep hill side. A few pricks and pains forming a few scratches in his hand. Not too much damage. Jimin carefully followed his lead trying not to fall. Jimin followed Jeongguk as he walked to a curtain of vines. Jeongguk waited for Jimin to be behind him before he pushed the vines apart. Jimin looked inside and his eyes grew large. His mouth fell open and his eyes sparkled. The whole area was lit by the shinning sun into a whole at the top. Everything was made of rock and stone. The water was a clean and a beautiful blue.

Jeongguk pointed to a sparkling jewel, the colors were mixes of pinks, purples, reds, and greens. Something Jimin's never seen before.

"The heart of Zabian." Jeongguk whispered to Jimin. "Without it, we'd die."

"Why are you showing me this?" Jimin turned to Jeongguk who smiled.

"I was told to."

"Told to? By who?"

"Ancestors. I don't understand why, but I was compelled to do so." Jeongguk turned to the jewel.

"You said you'd die without it?"

"Yes. This jewel brings life to the grass that grows, the trees that turn green, and the babies that are born. This, alongside the Phoenix and Dragon, are the only reasons we've been alive for so long."

"Phoenix and Dragon? They're the two powerful Zeaquus, right?" Jimin tapped his chin, head titled.

"You're a fast learner." Jeongguk smiled.

"If this jewel is taken from its spot, everything begins to fade and die. Humans have always wanted this, this is would bring them power and bring us down."

"If that's so, why would you show me this? You aren't worried I'd back stab you?"

Jeongguk covered the jewel by its vine curtains before looking to Jimin.

"You've grown comfortable here. This. This is your home. You wouldn't betray it."

"My home?" Jimin looked up to Jeongguk.

Jeongguk nodded, eyes flashing a beautiful mix of green and blue.

Jeongguk walked off, Jimin didn't move before slowly following behind.

"I would like to go back to the home of memories." Jimin looked to Jeongguk for a reaction.

His eyes turned to look at Jimin's.

"Reason?"

"I would like to go with my brother. I just want to test a theory I have."

"Theory?"

"I feel like I may have been here before. I have the slightest of memory of things I've seen here. It could possibly be deja vu but I don't think so." Jimin explained as he followed Jeongguk.

"Been here before? When could you have been here before? When you were a child, as humans had just killed my parents, humans were killed immediately." Jeongguk concluded as he walked to the beautiful crystal water.

"Like I said, I'm not sure. But I- What're you doing?!" Jimin covered his eyes as he watched Jeongguk remove his clothing and chest jewelry.

Jeongguk was submerged in the water when he called to Jimin, "We can talk in here. I brought you here for this as well."

"To skinny dip?! That isn't improper of you princey."

Jeongguk rolled his eyes, "To swim, Jimin."

"To swim?"

"Yes. I heard you wanted to swim as you missed your castle pool."

"I spoke about this with my brother, in my room. You were eavesdropping!"

"I was walking by."

Jimin crossed his arms rolling his eyes.

"I'm not getting in there naked!" Jimin flushed at the remembrance that Jeongguk is naked.

"I won't force you. Just thought I'd do this one thing for you. The past few hours, if not days, have been a lot." Jeongguk grinned swimming to the standing Jimin.

"Whether you wanna get in or not is your choice." His body moved away like a swan and he left Jimin standing there, eyes dimmed as he looked down.

Back at his castle be loved swimming, it relaxed him and was the only place no one looked for him. So, he did the only thing he could do.

Dropped his clothes and jumped in the water. Not before-

"If you look, I'll kill you." Jimin stared deadly at Jeongguk who only grinned before dipping under the water.

Only coming back up at the vibrations and ripples. He came back up and began swimming farther into the cave.

"Jeongguk!" Jimin swam after him huffing before seeing where he went.

It was beautiful. Green everywhere and a gentle waterfall that was extremely loud with the water flowing down. It created a foam look around the bottom where the resting water met the falling water.

Jeongguk smiled as he grabbed Jimin's arm and began swimming around. They played a few different games enjoying their time away. Forgetting about the fake mother in the dungeon, the furious Namjoon, the worried Seokjin, and strangely neutral Jieun and Taehyung. They had no worries at this moment. Well, they should have one worry but that isn't important now, is it?

Ah, but we should know what they should prepare for.

Evan threw the door open and screamed, "Your wife and sons disappeared! Do you still not want to look for them?!"

The old king looked down and sighed.

"We should go out and look for them. My wife and eldest had no reason to run away. Where could they have gone without being spotted? They couldn't have gone far."

"Maybe they went to where Jimin is."

The old king paused and listened. That's a possibility. If Jimin would tell anyone where he is, it would be his brother then mother. So, if they locate the queen and eldest that means-

"We can easily find Jimin and bring him home." Evan's lips curved as his eyes sparkled.

"Yes. Okay Prince Evan, go on. Find them. Bring them home."

"Of course your majesty." Evan bowed before leaving.

Evan shut the door and smiled evilly.

"You won't live long old man."

"How'd you get this huge scar?" Jeongguk asked rubbing Jimin's back.

There laid a huge scar that spread like spilled water across his back. It was a lot darker than his skin tone. So it was obviously there.

"I don't know. It's always just been there."

"It's a burn wound. Someone either threw hot water on your back or your back was faced with a huge fire." Jeongguk concluded rubbing Jimin's back.

"I guess. I don't remember it."

"You know, I have a huge scar from when a human knifed me."

Jimin's eyes shot open.

"It's on my thigh. A human intruded and I tried to get him to leave but he wouldn't so he just dragged his knife down my thigh." Jeongguk whispered out.

"No way! I wanna see!"

"I'd have to get out of the-"

"Never mind! I don't wanna see it that bad."

Jeongguk laughed as he turned so his back was against the rocks and chest facing the sun shining into the cave. Jimin still having his stomach against the rocks.

"What happened to that human?" Jimin looked to Jeongguk who bit his lip.

"He... Died."

Jimin turned around to Jeongguk, "Oh my god, Jeongguk did you-"

"Ah, I didn't kill him, he was killed by his kingdom. He came here with the intent to steal the oncy but befriend us first. Since he didn't do the latter and instead stabbed the prince, he was killed.

Jimin hummed before looking down then back at Jeongguk.

"You know-"

"Jimin can I do something?"

"Oh uh, yeah sure what did you-"

Jimin's eyes widened as his whole body stopped responding. He had no control over his thoughts. He expected to be able to speak immediately after but no, he was still stuck like that and slowly he caved. Jeongguk pulled back then looked away covering his mouth. Jimin's body fell forward slightly after Jeongguk moved.

"What?!" Jimin screamed covering his mouth.

"What?" Jeongguk asked nonchalantly.

"Don't act like you didn't just kiss me, asshole! That was my first kiss!"

Jeongguk turned to Jimin, "Actually?"

Jimin nodded and punched his arm.

"Glad it was me then."

Jimin punched Jeongguk's arm again.

"Why did you do that?!"

Jeongguk's smirk turned into a soft smile as he looked down.

"If I said it, you wouldn't believe me."

"Try me."

Jeongguk looked up to the sun and closed his eyes.

"Cherrimi, hanjo pinko lina." Jeongguk ran his hand through his hair. (I'm in love you, beautiful.)

"Y-you're in love with me?" Jimin stared at Jeongguk who peaked an eye at him.

"Ah, chilina gian dou." He rubbed his face. (Ah, don't think too much.)

"But you just said-"

"Well act like I didn't. I don't want to force anything. Besides, I know you don't feel the same."

"Who are you to decide what my feelings are?"

Jeongguk chuckled, "I guess you're right. I'm in no position for that, but I just-"

Jimin pulled Jeongguk towards his face.

"I'm tired of people talking for me. Saying what I do and don't want. How I should and shouldn't feel. Shut up, Jeongguk. You don't know shit." Jimin growled as his lip peaked up.

Jeongguk's eyes were wide.

"Jimin-"

"I do love you. I felt it for a while. I ignored because I knew your hate for humans so I didn't say anything. And you don't understand how amazing it feels to hear you say that." Jimin bit his lip as his throat tightened and tears ran down his face.

Jeongguk immediately hugged him, holding him tightly to his body.

"But Jimin you know we can't-"

"I don't care! We'll pull off some Romeo and Juliet type shit or something!" Jimin sniffled looking up for Jeongguk.

"Jimin."

"Yes?" Jimin pouted.

"Romeo and Juliet died."

"At least they died in love!" Jimin argued back hugging Jeongguk again.

"Jimin." Jeongguk chuckled.

"I wanna be your pinibi." Jimin mumbled against Jeongguk's chest. (I wanna be your love.)

"But I don't want to keep us a secret."

"We can tell them slowly." Jimin was still pouting.

He was determined to get Jeongguk to say he'd claim him as his lover but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

"Fine. We'll tell them slowly."

Never mind.

"You'll be my living jewel." Jeongguk grinned.

"Gross you're being cheesy."

Ziema walked through the forest quietly. He wanted to separate himself for a bit before going back. What he didn't expect was to see a human riding a horse near the forest. He was going to run back and tell the king but the man yelled for him.

"Hey!" He yelled, jumping off his horse.

Ziema gasped as was about to run off but the man grabbed his arm.

"I need to ask if you've seen the prince. Prince Jimin!"

Ziema stopped moving.

"Jimin?"

"Yes, my fiance."

Ziema turned around.

"Woah, blue faced monster." The man gasped.

"That's rude ya know. I was going to help you but maybe not."

"Oh I'm sorry! No please help! Have you seen my fiance?"

Ziema stalled before nodding.

"He's in my kingdom."

"Kingdom?"

"Zabian."
