"I'm not following Captain America to my death bed! But, that little guy from Brooklyn, who was helluva dumb son of a bitch that didn't run away from a fight, is who I'm following."
"But, you have to keep the uniform." Amelia playfully smiled. Amelia wanted to completely ignore what Howard had told her yesterday, and she did. Steve had gathered all of his men in a pub to discuss who would join his team or not. They all ended up wanting to go, as long as Steve paid for their drinks that night.
"You know what, it's kind of growing on me too." Bucky added, looking back at the old Captain America show poster.
"So, Amelia," Bucky tried to flirt with Amelia. But, she never liked men that wanted to flirt with women all the time, they were a waste of space and oxygen and only now was Amelia lightening up to the idea of dating.
"Bucky, all I want is to have a drink with friends. Can you not?" Amelia groaned, but Bucky continued to bother Amelia from time to time with his acts. The bar had been howling with laughter, singing and just plain manly commotion, but it soon stopped as soon as Peggy entered in the bar.
"Excuse me gentlemen, I'm looking for Steve?" Peggy's soft voice asked. Peggy was dressing in a fiery red dress with bold red pumps, making a very loud fashion statement was an understatement for Peggy.
Steve's head shot over to Peggy and Amelia took another sip of her beer before smiling at her friend.
"I see your top squad is preparing for duty." Amelia teased.
"This is how they prep? It's very unorthodox." Peggy raised her brow.
Steve and Bucky walk over to Peggy like she was a new toy in still in its plastic container. "Ma'am," Bucky said.
"Agent Carter," Steve greeted at the same time. Peggy looked at Amelia questionably until she realized.
"Oh, fuck, I forgot!" Amelia cursed.
"I knew you would be here with him." Peggy laughed lightly.
"Sorry guys, but I have to go!" Amelia snatched up her jacket and threw down a ten dollar bill for her drink.
"Where?"
"Dancing! What are we waiting for, Peggy? Let's go, I still have to get my dress on." Amelia beamed, it was her favorite thing to do.
Peggy and Steve glance at each other quickly. "The right partner." Peggy said underneath her breath.
"Okay...?" Amelia tapped her foot impatiently.
"Let's go." Peggy nodded.
"Bye, Amelia!" Bucky called after her. Amelia turned around quickly, "I'll give you an A for effort!" She called back, jokingly.

The next day, Steve had been called by Howard to make his way to the weapons room. He looked around to find anyone to help him locate Mr. Stark. Once he found a small blonde, he asked her kindly, "Excuse me, I'm looking for Mr. Stark?"
"He's in with Colonel Phillips." She muttered. The girl must've hated her job, she didn't even look up from the newspaper. But, when she did, her eyes lit up with a hungry fire.
"But, of course, you're welcome to wait." She flirtatiously smiled.
Steve wanted nothing less but to go with Howard into the weapons room. But, this woman would not let Steve out of her sight, making him extremely awkward. "I read about what you did," she gestured at the newspaper article about the mission into Azzano.
"I'm just doing what need to be done." He replied semi-coolly.
"Sounded like more than that, you saved nearly 400 men." She stood up from her chair, looking at him sultrily.
"Really, it's not a big deal." Steve shifted his weight uncomfortably.
"Tell that to their wives."
"I don't think that they were all married."
"You're a hero."
"That depends on the definition, really." The woman stood closely to him, putting her hand on his chest. Steve breathed heavily.
"The women of America, they owe you their thanks. And, seeing as they're not here..." The woman pulled Steve's tie, leading him behind a filing cabinet.
Steve wanted to push her away, but she kept advancing on him. She planted her lips on his and Steve seemed to kiss back. They had begun to kiss right when Amelia had made her way around to inform Steve that Howard was ready.
Amelia had never felt this stomach bubbling feeling before, she was angry, no jealous. She gave out a fake cough, gaining both the woman's and Steve's attention.
Steve automatically regretted his actions. "Amelia, let me explain."
Amelia furrowed her brows together. "Explain what? That you go after any and every attractive woman that is fond of you?" Amelia laughed, her rambling was about to begin, but she stopped herself. She didn't want to waste her breath with another typical man.
Amelia stitched on a fake smile. "Mr. Stark is ready for you, asshole."
"Amelia please-"
"Go." Amelia hissed at Steve.
Steve cowardly walked into the weapons room. Leaving Amelia and the woman in the reception area, "skank," Amelia scoffed. The woman gasped and looked shocked at the harshness of Amelia.

Amelia was fitting her new suit as one of the men explained all of the details of the suit.
"It's made lightweight so you can run faster, punch easier and the fabric is so tightly knitted that not even knives can get through it." He explained. Amelia looked into the mirror and admired the navy blue, skin-tight suit. It had many holes on the sides to keep guns and knives in and her boots were just slick, tall black boots.
"So, how do you like it?"
"I look hot," Amelia laughed, "and my butt looks bigger. Howard knew how I wanted it, thanks guys." She dismissed the tailors.
Amelia walked into the weapons room, where Steve and Howard still were. "Howard, how do I look?" Amelia posed in her best vogue looking pose, making Howard laugh uncontrollably. Steve continued to admire his circular shield.
"Amazing," he smiled, "just the way you wanted it."
"Steve was just trying out some new weapons." Howard pointed over to the shield.
"What do you think?" Steve asked, holding up the shield so she could see. Amelia was still pissed from earlier and wanted to take her anger out on him. So, she pulled out her silenced gun quickly and shot at the shield three times.
Steve took cover and the bullets didn't even make a dent in the metal. "It's okay, is it bomb proof?" Amelia asked.
"Please- don't test it, but, yes it's bomb proof." Howard responded quickly.
Amelia exited the room with a satisfying feeling flowing inside of her.
