"Trinity, can you hear me? Trinity, wake up? Trinity?" Takeo was shaking her. Gently at first, but more violently as the time went on. She had been possessed, at least that's what he had assumed had happened. She had released a gasp, then went oddly still, as if she had become a corpse. Her eyes, not lifeless, but possessed by a light, blinded him as he tried to shake her of her dream state. Then, she was floating. The wind had surrounded her and lifted her inches from the blades of the tall grass surrounding them. The worst part, her collapse. Takeo didn't know what had happened, only that she was laying on the ground, unresponsive, and barely breathing. He needed her to wake up. He could feel his face becoming flushed as he continued to try and wake his one true mate. He put his hand behind her neck and gently lifted her head from the grass, "Trinity, please," he begged.

Her eyes burst open as Trinity took a gasping breath. "Thank the Gods," Takeo whispered as he hugged her close. She forced her arms between them and began showing Takeo away. He sat back up, holding her at a distance as she attempted to gather her surroundings. Her eyes were squinted as if the sky was too bright.

"Trinity, what happened?" She looked at him, gears in her own head turning as she tried to process what had just happened. The light of the forest caressed his face, making him more angelic than before. She cupped his face in her hands, refusing to look at anything else. He had helped her remember. Well, he had before but now she knew everything. She had her mother's memories as well, which meant that she had her cunning.

She struggled to sit up, somehow sore from the whole experience. "Takeo, I'm okay. Thank you." He let go of his grip on her to let her struggle on her own. She thanked him silently for the small mercy. "I should explain." She looked at him, looked at the concern plastered on his face, yet he only nodded, "I remembered. I mean, I remembered before, but now I really do. You helped me, again. I know completely who I am, where I came from, my family's history, and how to kill the king. I have my mother in my head now. Somehow I unlocked her there with your help." Takeo still looked confused, "I can't really explain it in a way you can understand. I think, my mom somehow was storing parts of her in me whenever she used her magic,

I think that when she would sing me songs to get me to sleep or would stroke my head to calm me when I was scared, she was saving herself for me. As a part of me, if that makes sense. I unlocked her, as well as some of her memories. I see the dark figure that was lurking on the day of my first shift by the river. The day that she told me about the waterfall? Someone else was there. I always thought I knew it, but now I'm sure. And on the day my parents died, they knew it was coming, because they knew someone had told the king of their whereabouts. The king can't sense magic like the rumors have said, he has spies. One of which invaded our camp and disguised himself as a friend. Someone who had gotten close to us, mainly to you and the other boys, but still. He wiggled his way into our camp, our home, and told the king about our every move.

I think my mother needed me to unlock her as a warning so that I can find this spy and get rid of him in revenge. He killed my parents, and it is only he who can actually sense the magic. We're hiding from him out here, not the king." She looked up to meet Takeo's ever so tragic gaze. She knew what was running through his head and wished she could stop him from asking.

"Who?" his voice cracked slightly. He cleared his voice and tried again, "Which friend betrayed us, Trinity?" She shook her head, wishing she kept that part quiet. "Who?" his voice was angry, bitter, hurt. He already knew.

"Takeo, I'm sorry. It's Jacob." Though she hadn't met him personally, she knew what he meant to Takeo. That wasn't even the worse part, "He wasn't just the spy, he was, is, your actual brother."
