A woman stood in front of her and the boy next to her. Takeo? No. The eyes were different. Who was he? The woman was writing something in the sand. Making a wide circle around them. Humming as she went, her dark curly hair falling in her eyes. She didn't brush them away. "On the count of three you will be the two strongest kids to ever walk this earth. One. Two. Three". She closed her eyes. Nothing happened. The girl didn't feel different, but the boy was glowing. No, not glowing, expelling light from himself. He screamed. The light from the boy went straight up into the heavens and fell back down heading straight for... shit.
The light was forced into the girl, her grinding her teeth, jaw clench shut. So much pain. It seemed to last for hours when it was only mere seconds. The next part came slowly, oh so slowly. The boy slumped over where he had been kneeling, his arm brushing away the circle when he fell. the light disappeared back into the heavens, but most of it trapped in the girl. the woman ran over to the boy, slapping his face, trying to wake him up. He didn't stir. The girl was trapped where she sat, unable to move or help the boy. He's dead. The woman picks up the boy, but doesn't get far before he is raised by an unidentified force. He appears to be standing. The girl lets out a sob of relief. His head is still dangling, but the light that was once around him has returned. No, that's not light, that's darkness. His head lifts slowly and he turns to face the girl. His eyes shining red and his once blonde hair as dark as night. He gives a wicked smile before the girl's vision goes black and she too collapses to the ground.
Trinity wakes up sweating and breathing heavily. She feels around for Takeo before realizing he's in the tent beside her. She sits up trying to gather her bearings. She's still at the camp where they've been training for days. She needs to protect the village. The king is on their trail. Shit.
She rubs her eyes and tried to wake herself up. She realizes that she fell asleep before she could finish her project. She checks the stitches, "Still intact." she whispered to herself. "well, let's get this over with." She picks up the needle and continues her project, trying to block her dream from clouding her mind.
