Aphmaus POV

Once we were back at Phoenix Drop the boy asked me where I live. I showed him. Phoenix drop used to be so much bigger. That was before people moved out and others destroyed their houses for supplies during the drought.

I directed him to where I live. Then I said "Who are you? What's your name?" He replied "Oh, sorry I'm Zane!" We talked for a minute when my Mom came out. "Oh, my Aphmau there you are!" I then ran inside and yelled "can you come over tomorrow Zane?"

Zane's POV

"Sure." I yelled back. I didn't know what else to say. This was my first friend. Then I ran home. I was smiling so big. luckily I had my mask on or Mom would have suspected something. Then Garroth came in. Automatically he said "Hey, Zane. Are you smiling? Did someone get hurt again?"

"What!? No! Why would you ask that?" I said going red and shaking from anger. Why did he have to tease me about when I laughed once when he fell! I don't think he'll ever let me live that down. I got up and hoped Mom hadn't heard what he said about me smiling.

Just then Mom Said "Did something good happen while you where in the forest?" I gave Garroth the death stare then turned and said "Yes, I made a friend." Than ran to my room as fast as possible.
