Garroth's POV

"Garroth I don't know how much longer I can hold him!"
Vylad yelled as Ross viciously snapped at me.
I smashed his head to the ground making a yelp escape his mouth before holding his neck to my ear
Badum...Badum
I crashed my fist into his neck which made the creature leap out his mouth
"HIT HIS SHOULDER!"
I ordered to Vylad as I caught it in my grasp
"Ah"
Ross slurred
"SORRY ROSS"
I apologized as I helped him up
"Uh Garroth what do I do with it?"
Vylad asked
"PASS"
I simply replied before pouring holy water onto them both making them glow like the sun.
Who else did Zane or any of them bite?
I thought
It has to be a deep bite so Max isn't affected and scratches don't pass the creature through so Jerome's fin- Zenix!
"ROSS?"
I asked
"Yeah?"
He replied as he rubbed his neck
"WHERE'S ZENIX?"
I asked
"He went crazy as he was getting a check up and was put in quarantine until a solution was made"
He explained
"Luckily no one got bit"
He finished making me sigh in relief
"I CAN FIX HIM SO JUST KEEP HIM THERE UNTIL I GET THE CHANCE TO OK?"
I explained before noticing Lilith at the end of the street, looking as though she saw a ghost which frozen her in place.
Suddenly the cafe collapsed behind us, sinking to the floor within seconds leaving piles of ruble behind.

My thoughts where interrupted by a sudden voice
"Monster!"
It yelled making me whip around to see a claw sprung out of the ruble as it hoisted itself out to reveal
Zane?!
He constantly coughed before climbing out completely and looking down at his rib cage.
He slowly lifted Jay out and gently placed him on the floor before looking over at me with his tired eyes.
Lilith, Max and Jack quickly ran over to Jay and bombarded him with hugs
"Don't you ever do that again!"
Lilith scolded as tears streamed down her pale, innocent face
"Candy!"
Jay cheered as he plopped a Haribo in his mouth
How?-
My thought was yet again interrupted by the sound of a truck speeding towards us before guns pointed out the windows
"Oh well great I save a kid and back to the lab I go"
Zane groaned sarcasm in his tone
"Maybe I should destroy the town while I'm at it!"
He growled before quickly covering his mouth
"Oh no, no, no, no"
He repeated to himself as he clutched his head, his face randomly glitching from a snarling monster to a fearful one.
Ross whimpered as he hid behind me probably remembering the attack of which Zane was sent to the lab in the first place.
He glared down at the children as they seemed oblivious to what action was accruing before he snarled at them letting long claws creep out his paws.
He swiped at Max but managed to catch his paw midway and hold it in place as it violently shook.
"Garroth"
He stretched as he breathed heavy
"Little help"
He continued before all of a sudden
"Hey! You made a deal Zane remember?"
A man yelled as he held a shotgun within his grasp.
Zane stayed silent.
"Silent eh"
He spoke before firing the gun at him.
It hit.
It hit him in his left shoulder making him yelp before falling to his side, grasping it for comfort before letting out whimpers
"Pathetic monsters"
He moaned as I glared at him
"Hey!"
Jay yelled
"Would a m-monster risk his life to s-save mine!"
He yelled
Wait he can speak!
"…"
The man stayed silent as he glared back at me with his red ruby eyes.
"Tatarus?"
Travis questioned as he remained in half form
"What?!"
He yelled causing Travis to stay silent
"I don't have time for this"
He groaned as his figure changed into a black cloaked man before stomping past us.
"Why must you be so-so difficult!"
He yelled but all Zane did in response was stay glued to the ground, His chest slowly rising with oxygen and lowering with carbon dioxide.
"What is it with you and silence! Oh yes that's right you had to live 18 years with it didn't you!"
He continued as Zane body began rapidly shaking
Ane?
Flickering images of his bright outline layed in the same spot as Zane before I notice ice attaching him to the ground as though isolating him in place
"What's wrong with you cat got your tongue!"
Tatarus teased
"ARE YOU BLIND YOUR KILLING HIS SPIRIT!"
I yelled anger consuming me along with fear
"Oh am i now?"
He replied before pointing the gun down at Zane.
Suddenly paws wrapped around his hands before being pulled down to Zane.
Crack!
My mouth dropped open as the children ran behind Vylad in fear.
Zane?
Tatarus dropped to the ground completely as his head remained tight in Zane's skull.
I then noticed his pitch black soul slounched in his eye cracked, broke and snapped in half.
This is bad

Zane's POV

Darkness.
That's all I could see.
Silence.
Was all that was there.
Pain.
Was all I could feel.
I layed on the dark floor of my nightmares as I breathed lightly against it.
It was so silent you could hear a pin drop
"Come on Zane...Get up"
A voice sighed.
My body ached as I extended my arms in front of me to slowly push myself upwards.
"What?"
I groaned letting my head rest backwards on my neck
"Sorry it's just"
The voice continued as a small child sat in front of me
"I-i don't wanna be alone…right now"
He spoke
"Oh uh that's fine"
I replied as i looked down at myself before silence filled the atmosphere.
I had a stitch running down my cheat as a bullet wound remained sat on my shoulder.
My right leg was no longer bandaged leaving yet again another stitch Running down it
"I'm sorry Zane"
He spoke causing me to look up at my smaller self
"What fo-"
I started before suddenly he interrupted me
"For not stopping him, for letting him get to you, for making my kindness mold you into the creature you so dearly hate and…"
He babbled before returning to silence
"For trusting him"
He finished with a whine as his eyes filled up with the tearful liquid of tears
"Who?"
I asked placing a shaking hand on his shoulder
"...Z"
He replied
"Who's he?"
I questioned as he starred at the floor
"The darkness?, A Zvinx?, A friend?…i truly don't know anymore and to be honest I really don't care"
He replied
"He knows WHAT he is and now he knows what he's capable of"
He continued and paranoia flooded through my veins
"He loves rubbing it in my face as I'm forced to watch from the sidelines!
The sidelines of which I can't cross!

He sobbed
"Well now you know how I felt for 18 years"
A voice spoke
"And your gonna feel it for more than that!"
It continued as my eyes darted everywhere only to meet a tall dark figure
"Well look how you've grown...Z"
The other me replied not even sending a glance towards him
"How rude of you Ane, I heard when you speak to an adult you must give them your full attention"
Who I'm guessing was Z chuckled as he walked towards us
"That's the thing Z you'll never be big enough to be an adult"
I think it's Ane replied before suddenly a hand gripped his neck
"Wanna make that two of us?"
Z growled as Ane was lifted up to meet eye contact with him.
Ane just starred at him showing no signs of looking away as they stayed like that for several minutes
"You might have Zane's soul but you'll never have his spirit!"
Ane yelled
"No matter how many deals he makes!"
He finished before slamming his foot into Z's...Um private area making him fall to his knees.

Ane jump to the ground and grab me.
He quickly dragged me away from Z as I notice him glare up at me with his glowing orbs before suddenly vanishing out of my sight
"Hey I think he's gone"
I spoke
"Zane he's in your mind, he can't just vanis-"
Ane replied before cutting himself off with a sudden stop
"Run, Run, Run, Run, Run"
He ordered as he pushed me to my aching feet
"From what!?"
I asked before a growl echoed down my delicate ears
"Never mind"
I spoke as I quickly limped away, with the help of Ane of course.
Heavy panting could be heard from behind us as the growls sped closer and closer.
"THAT'S IT!"
Ane snapped before he released me making me fall to the floor
"COME ON Z I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF RUNNING GET OUT HERE NOW!"
He ordered as a white glowing sword appeared within his grasp, anger burning within his one blue eye
"How thoughtful of you Ane, I thought you was forever going to be nothing but a coward"
Z's voice returned as the monstrous creature stepped out into Ane's glowing surrounding
"You never seise to surprise me"
The voice spoke
"But you got this all wrong"
He continued as it glared at me
"I need you Ane but you however Zane"
He stated causing me to gulp in fear
"Your just in the way"
He growled as he placed a hand on the monsters head
"Zane get out of here now"
Ane ordered
"Oh no please do stay for dinner"
Z replied as I stumbled up onto my feat
"This little guy would love that"
He continued before the creature viscously snarled at me
"Yeah... no I'm gonna go now"
I spoke as I quickly limped away
"Go on boy he's all yours"
I heard him finish causing my feet to automatically run as the pain felt oblivious to me
"I got some unfinished business"
