We've been at the camp now for...let's say around six days and everything seems normal.
As we stayed here i've been helping Jay with his language skills.
I must admit he's a quick learner.
He can say half my name now so.
Wait... define Normal again I forgot.
What is normal?
Are humans even normal?
So many questions!
"What are we doing again?"
Dante asked as Lilith, Max and Jack walked behind me the sun lowing behind the tree's giving off the best view of the camp.
Your probably wondering where Jay is, do not fright he's sat on my shoulders so you can all relax
"Dante were simply climbing a mountain"
I chuckled as I lifted Lilith up onto a rock
"But why?"
He groaned
"Cos it gives the best view"
I stated as I lifted Jack and Max up before jumping up myself and pulling Dante up next to me.
We continued to climb the rock filled mountain before coming to a holt
"Here"
I stated as I turned to look at the setting sun.
I lifted Jay off my shoulders and let him sit down next to his siblings.
Oh! I forgot to tell you they're all siblings can ya believe it... but they don't say where they live.
Who am I to ask though they might take it the wrong way ya know.
Dante stood next to me as we looked down at the camp spotting a small river below and the others sat around a campfire.
"It is a good view"
Dante spoke as I chuckled
Hasn't changed a bit
I thought as I felt the earge to look behind me.
I did.
There slouched a small cave where the trees shielded it from the sun as though guarding something.
I decided to ignore the fact it was there but I'd always end up sending glances back at it until one time red glowing eyes stared back at me.
I didn't look away as I noticed Dante in the corner of my eye giving me an odd look
"Zane ya there?"
He chuckled waving a hand in front of my face making the eyes disappear within an instant
"Huh, oh yeah I just... Thought I saw somethin"
I replied turning away from the cave to face Dante only to feel something grab my foot
"Jay get off"
I chuckle as i looked at the other children to see them peacefully watching the sun disappear with Jay.
I looked at my foot noticing something green wrapped around it pulling me towards the cave.
"Dante!"
I yelled as I fell to the floor sinking my claws into the ground as he tugged at my tied leg, inching closer and closer towards the cave.
Suddenly my vision was engulfed by darkness as I shot into the cave noticing the thing release my leg and grab my neck.
"Agh"
I grunted as the eyes returned in front of me
"K-kronos?"
I sighed
"Why do you sound so surprised?"
He laughed as the grip around my neck tightened slightly
"Did you think in was just gonna ..."
He started
"DISAPPEAR!"
He yelled as the grip around my neck tightened even more causing me to gasp for air
"Zane!"
I heard Dante yell as I noticed myself becoming weaker making half of Kronos's wing regrow
"Oh ya hear that your friend wants ya"
He started
"How about ya go see him!"
He growled before throwing me out the cave, past the others and towards the cliff edge.
I clawed at the ground as i skidded to the edge making my feet scrape across the cliff side
"Zan!"
Jay spoke as he grabbed my paw trying to pull me up before I noticed paws on his shoulders
"Hey leave my brother alone!"
Max yelled smashing Kronos to the side as Lilith and Jack came to help me.
I stood up to notice Dante smashing a firm branch on top of Kronos's head causing him to turn around and snap it in half.
Dante let an embarrassed smile emerge on his face before being kicked into the side of a tree.
Max ran over to him as so did the other three before I felt my fist clinch in anger.
I growled at Kronos as he looked over at me
"You took my face isn't that enough!"
I moaned as he walked towards me
"Apparently not"
He teased before claws emerged from his paws
"Why?"
I asked
"Well like you said earlier we're the same"
He started
"And if all people are going to forever see us as just roofless monsters..."
He continued as he stopped in his tracks
"Why bother trying to be anything else!"
He growled before leaping at me sending us flying down the mountain.
He dug his claws into my arms as his face was the only focused object to be seen.
I suddenly remembered
The water!
"Kronos!"
I yelled
"What!"
He yelled back as he starred at me
"Water and me don't mix remember!"
I explained in a whine as both our eyes widened.
I looked down at the river as it sped closer and closer
Oh this is gonna hurt

Gene's POV

We peacefully sat around the campfire as Vylad held a marshmallow on a stick over it.
Zane, my brother and the children all when up the mountain for... I don't really know why.
To explore I guess.
Dante hates walks though
I thought as I slouched back on my foldable chair
"Well"
Travis started as he tapped a finger on his soda can
"This is entertaining"
He continued as everything went silent the only sound was the creatures within the forest and the fire crackling with hunger
"Look"
He sighed dropping the can and dragging our attention towards him fully
"I didn't wanna say this at the wrong time but now seems to be the best chance I'll get"
He stated as he sat up
"I-i"
He stuttered
"Travis its ok what ever you have to say we'll... Try to understand"
Aph replied noticing his nervousness
"I-i found some info about Z-Zane"
He stated
"Kronos was right"
He continued rubbing the back of his neck
"There's no known cure to a Zvinx"
He sighed
"I'm sorry but unless we find a way and quick... I'll have to step in"
He finished as his hand turned into a devilish claw
"Wait what?"
Aaron asked
"He'll be a threat to everyone and to himself"
He replied making the claw disappear within an instant.
I noticed Vylad look at Garroth as he was starring up at the mountain
"I'm sorry Garroth but-"
Travis started
"Shut up"
He spoke interrupting Travis with no fear as he crushed the can held in his hand
Garroth?
"Hey it's the truth!"
Travis argued as he stood up in anger
"I said"
Garroth continued as I notice Vylad duck behind his scarf and drop his stick
"SHUT UP!"
He yelled shooting up, his eyes burning with rage.
Garroth?!
I thought as he grabbed Travis's scruff before hoisting him up to his face making Vylad leap up and wrap his arms around him
"Please Garroth"
I heard him mumble causing Garroth to look down at him.
He slowly relaxed his hands with a sigh
"Sorry it's just... Something doesn't feel right"
He explained
"I'm sorry Vylad"
He apologised as I heard sniffles from Vylad
"Heh your more of dad than ya think"
He chuckled
What?
Suddenly we heard a sudden splash of water causing us all to leap up and run to the lake only to jump back at what we saw.
"How in the world?!"
I gasped
The small lake like river was being corrupted by electricity as sparks began flying from all angles.
Two objects splashed out the water as they clawed at one another before one jumped up on top
Kronos?
"Get off!"
Zane yelled before he was pushed under the electrified water making bubbles rapidly emerge from it
Wait how did he get his wing back?!
I thought as he stretched them out only to shoot upwards
"Oh no ya don't"
Zane groaned as he grabbed his leg, being pulled up as well making the electricity disappear from the water.
That's when it clicked.
When he attacked me at the labs they used water.
That's his weakness.
That's our advantage.

I clung onto Kronos as I notice a cracked, rougher skull being crafted on my head making me sigh

He suddenly flung me up into the air before slamming me to the ground below.
I groaned as he grabbed my neck with his paws
"Wait why bother draining your power"
He started
"When I can simply just take it"
He laughed as I looked up at him
"Your crazy"
I spat before he blocked my airpipe making me frantically squirm
"Heh Zane your telling me things I already know"
He laughed
"The day I went crazy was the day everything went black and my friends, my family all abandoned me!"
He yelled as he glared into my eyes
"...even Irene herself did"
He sighed
"Don't you get it"
He growled as my mind wondered
"They'll abandon you too... Just like I was"
He continued as he looked to the ground
What?
"You don't know how it feels to be abandoned, lost, unloved a true monster"
He finished before I noticed pupils being formed within his eyes
"K-r"
I tried to speak
"I'm sorry Zane but"
He started as he lifted one big paw high in the air letting it shake violently.
I slammed my eyes shut as his paw came flying down causing me to brace for impact.
Nothing hit though.
I squinted my eyes open to notice his claw inches away from my face as his eyes was completely normal.
Them red glistening eyes gazed down at me before tears filled them
"I can't do this anymore"
He whined as he sat up off me releasing my neck and letting me slowly sit up.
We sat opposite one another as I could feel tension building between us.
I then noticed Travis, Vylad and Gene peeking behind a tree in the distance
"Ya know... I'm surprised i ain't dead yet"
Kronos spoke causing me to look at him
"Oh how did love to see Irene again"
He continued
"I miss her, I miss them"
He stated as Travis seemed extremely confused
"Kronos?"
I asked
"What?"
He replied as he looked up at me, with his sad eyes, his pleading eyes as I felt my heart sink.
I cleared my throat before continuing
"They have not abandoned you"
I stated
"Oh really.... Do you see anyone with me?"
He replied
"No but they would never stop thinking about you"
I started
"And I'm sure they tried to help you"
I finished
"Yeah trying to kill me really helped"
He growled causing me to gulp
"'A threat' they said a 'Monster' they said!"
He yelled as his voice deepened
"Woah um...well yeah we are a threat and we both know that"
I replied making him growl at me
"Oh I know that, I know what I am, I know full well what I'm capable of"
He responded
"Do your friends know you though? Know you can easily snap there necks and end there pitiful lives at any time you wish?"
He growled as I scooted backwards
"You could kill me right now but you choose not too?
Why is that?"
He asked as I stayed silent
"Hm? No comment?
Oh so I'm guessing its not in your nature then?"
He teased
"You would never hurt someone you cared for... right?"
He continued
"Well what about Ross?"
He asked as he stood up
"Not in your nature too!"
He yelled
"Sure didn't look like it to me!"
He continued as fangs emerged from his mouth
"Kronos please you know you don't wanna do this"
I pleaded before he leaped at me grabbing my neck and biting down on it with his long, thick fangs
"I know"
He replied before letting go making me drop to the ground as my vision began to fade
"Timber!"
A voice yelled as my eyelid snapped shut
