Barney's POV

We was all sat in my van as we quietly drove down a hill.
Benjamin had his face glued to the window just gazing out of it as i kept my eyes on the road.
suddenly a familiar truck dashed passed us making me swerve slightly
"What in goats name!?"
I huffed as i pulled out an attachable light from my glove compartment and stuck it on top of my van letting it let out a loud siren of emergency.
We drove after it before it flew into the lake almost sinking, immediately
"This day keeps getting better and better doesn't it!"
Red yelled as we hopped out the van and looked down into the lake.
Suddenly two pairs of hands grabbed the deck making us jump back
"Ah I knew aliens existed!"
Red screamed as he leaped into Sky's arms.
Travis?
Dante?
We all looked at Red as he shrugged in embarrassment
"Where's Ross?!"
Travis yelled in between coughs before they looked down at the lake.
Oh!
"We left him with you for five minutes, five minutes!"
Sky yelled as I grabbed a knife from my shoe and held it in my mouth
"I'll be right back"
I said though gritted teeth before leaping into the water noticing the sinking van and swimming down after it.
I soon came level with the front window to notice Ross sat in the driver's seat pleadingly pulling at the belt as blood surrounded his neck and back within the water.
I swam through the shattered window making Ross look up at me in surprise.
I tried the seat buckle to find it jammed with water before removing the knife from my mouth and cutting through the it.
As I cut through it I had an odd feeling... That something or someone was watching me causing me to be constantly looking behind me.
"Hi there"
A voice suddenly spoke causing me to whip my head towards the two passengers seats before seeing a peculiar man sat there.
I looked towards Ross as air bubbled escaped both of our mouths but all I got from him was a shrug
"Ya know, Ross your getting really annoying"
He spoke as I notice no oxygen bubbles
"Annoying that you won't DIE!" He yelled before extending a hand towards me making me clutch my neck
"Now I'm gonna make sure you do!"
He yelled as I noticed my knife missing
Suddenly Ross leaped at him stabbing my knife into the man's side before the man digged a hand into his neck causing bubbles to leave Ross's mouth. He quickly grabbed me before floating out the window I entered from and swimming upwards.
We gasped for air as we surfaced before grasping the deck and literally throwing ourselves up onto it.
My lungs ached as I lay on my back taking in the sweet smell of oxygen as i felt my adrenalin being pumped around my body. I then noticed the others on a different deck next to us
"Ah"
Ross slurred as he rolled on the floor almost falling back into the water in the process.
I extended a claw like hand towards him before he snarled viscously at me before shaking himself dry
"Ross?"
I asked as I backed away slightly before noticing a black substance dripping from his mouth.
Soon the others came up next to me causing Ross's diamond eyes to dart everywhere in confusion
"Max said this'll happen sometimes"
Travis stated
"So um how do we approach this?"
Benjamin asked as he scratched his head
"I got a taser?"
Sky suggested
"What?!No!"
Jerome whispered as Ross stood up and sniffed at the air before tilting his head at us
"Hey there Ross"
I said in a calm and low voice as I held out a hand for him to take.
He slowly pushed his head towards it before sinking it in as i stroked his damp ear.
He purred as I stroked it clearly enjoying the affection
"So what happened with the truck?"
Benjamin asked as I remembered the mysterious man
"Everything just started to go crazy"
Dante huffed
"...Who was the other man with you?"
I asked as Travis and Dante gave me an odd look
"What other man?"
They asked
"He had orange hair...ya know like Red's"
I explained as they sent one another glances
"It was only us and Ross in there"
They replied
"But he was there"
I started as I looked at them
"Sky he sounded like Red-i mean the person who was disguised as red"
I continued as two cars parked up at the docks
"Barney?"
I heard a voice say behind me before I turned around to see Ross
"Why?"
He whined
"Why does everything wanna kill me?"
He sobbed as the others got out their cars
"Is everyone alright"
Aph asked walking towards us
"Everyone's intact other than the truck"
Travis said as Ross clung to my arm, hiding behind me as I could feel his body shaking, but i couldn't tell if it was cos he was cold or scared.
"Sorry Ross we know that the first thing you wouldn't want when first leaving the hospital is to go flying into a lake but-"
She started
"Why?"
Ross asked as he pecked over my shoulder
"Why did you really want me to go with you?"
He spoke
"Uh to help yo-"
She replied only to be interrupted once more
"Aph I am NOT in the mood for stupid lies NOW TELL ME!"
He yelled causing me to jump
"You certainly don't want to help me because if you did you wouldn't have put me with a learner!"
He continued as they stayed silent
"So are ya gonna tell me or I gonna have to go free Zane myself"
He finished making me slightly confused
"R-How did you know!?"
Aph questioned as Ross chuckled
"I knew from the beginning it was him, ya wanna know how?"
He said as he pointed to his scarf
"I gave him the scarf found at the park"
He started
"Two years ago"
He continued
"I don't think a gift you've had for two years would be left in a tree"
He finished

Zane's POV(Day:???)

I was curled up in the corner of my cage as I could feel my body getting weaker and weaker with every breath I took.
I have no idea what day it is
Monday?
Thursday?
Sunday?
I haven't been keeping track...Too busy trying to stay alive.
I looked across from me to notice Kronos fast asleep in his corner breathing lightly as his wings shielded him like a blanket.
"Pst Zane!"
A voice whispered causing my head to shoot up
Yes I'm Zane! Me Zane!
I thought as I looked at the entrance of my cage to notice  silhouette's of some people.
I slowly stood up and limped over to it
Garroth?!
There stood in front of me was my friends everyone other than Aaron though.
I then notice Gene behind them probably hiding from me
"Grene"
I spoke as I wore my muzzle causing him to slowly looked at me
"I'm sorry Zane"
He replied as I tilted my head before he pointed to my sewed chest
"No ir'm oka-"
I started before hearing a growl behind me making my eyes widen.
I quickly ducked as a tail flew above me, missing by an inch.
I heard the others jump back as my chain was floating in the shadows
"Kronos!"
I growled as I tugged at the chain
"Give me a brake already!"
I yelled
"You wanna brake?"
He chuckled
"I'll give ya one!"
He yelled before I felt myself fly into the bars
"Hey stop that!"
I heard Vylad yelled causing me to slowly pull myself up
"Oh yeah heh maybe I should hurt them instead"
He snarled making my heart pound
"What do you say Zane"
He asked
"No"
I growled
"How about kill"
He chuckled before grasping the bars of the cage and ripping them open making my friends back up into the hall.
I pulled at the chains determined to brake free as they ran down the hall
"Come on!"
A child's voice yelled within my mind
"I'm trying"
I growled
"Try harder!"
It yelled
"You didn't give up your soul for him to die!"
It continued as I was filled with rage, frustration and determination.
I clawed at the floor as i felt the chains strain before snapping and sending me through the hole Kronos made.
I glared to my left to see Travis in half-form thrown into the wall before plopping down behind a desk.
Then what I saw next made something change within me. Something... snapped.
Kronos had a foot on Garroth's chest making my mind overflow with anger and rage.
My vision faded red as i let out a growl, felling my paws twitching
"Aw little Zvinx angry"
He treased as he and Garroth looked at me
"Oh I'm so scarred"
He continued to joke
"You better be"
I growled knowing full well that Garroth and the others could hear
"Is that a threat"
He teased before leaping at me but missed as I spun around him and leaped up onto his back before grabbing his mouth and pulling it towards me making him fall backward.
I quickly jumped off of him before he crashed to the ground
"The bigger they are the harder they fall"
I laughed before trotting over to Garroth and lifting him up.
I pointed at my muzzle before he slowly slid it off allowing me to move my jaw around freely.
"Why you!"
I heard Kronos yell as I pushed Garroth out the way before jumping back myself letting a desk fly by.
Suddenly I felt my feet give way as I was pulled toward Kronos before hanging upside down facing him.
"Kronos it doesn't have to be like this, were in the same situation by the same person let's work together"
I spoke spinning and spinning
"Work together?, Work together!? Work together to do what?!"
He yelled as he shook me
"There's no fix to a Zvinx infection!"
He continued
"We're stuck like this Zane! And we won't die until we're told to!"
He finished
"That's the problem with you Kronos"
I started as i swung myself
"You give up!"
I growled before biting down on his side making him roar in pain and release me.
I crawled onto his back and pulled at his wings before biting down on one.
Suddenly I flew backwards with the wing held tight in my mouth before letting it drop into my paws
"Oh crud"
I whined as i looked up to see a furious monster glaring at me with his blazing eyes.
He suddenly pinned me to the ground
"I did warn you"
He started
"To not challenge me!"
He continued before grabbing my skull making the sickening sound return
"You took my wing, I take your skull!"
He yelled as my vision began to mysteriously glitch
