Chapter 7
Friday - 8:04 A.M.
May 7, 2015
I stared at Zain's motionless body on the bed, he was sleeping soundly. A smile was all I can muster up, he's happier.
All I want for him is to be happy, so my call to come with my family was a good call. Zain interacted with kids his age, he's opening up.
Last night Brunet didn't see me since he was enjoying the presence of my family. He did by the way stay far away from me.
My urge to murder him was growing by the second but I didn't. Teaching Zain self-control is a big thing, having no self-control will just go against what I'm teaching him.
So the moment I seen Brunet I snuck past people and went to my room. Zain complained since he wanted to go play with his cousins and friends.
His complaints lead him to one week without toys, which lead him to crying himself to sleep.
While he slept, I watched. Drowsiness did fall on me for a short period and like all the other times I overcame it.
There were two things that keep me from falling asleep. My fear of someone taking Zain, and my fear of having to go through my nightmares.
Having to re-experience my memories breaks me the more I fall asleep. Closing my eyes is the first thing I need to do for me to go back there.
I don't wanna go back, I don't wanna feel him, and I don't wanna see him.
Last night the meeting ended at midnight, very few of the attendees stayed the night while the others left.
I don't know who stayed and I don't care about who stayed. As long as they don't bother me I'll be fine.
Zain rolled to the edge of the bed and as he stirred awake he fell. Quickly I ran to him and caught him just before he can hit the floor.
He must have thought he was sleeping on the floor since he's used to sleeping on the floor.
He clung onto me as I put him back on the bed, "Be careful, Zay." I said softly as I moved his hair away from his eyes.
He pouted, "Mommy, I almost died so can I play with my toys today?" I laughed and picked him up.
"Only if your a good boy. Last night's attitude was not it." I said taking him to the bathroom. He nodded quickly with a big smile, "I will be a good boy Mommy." He said eagerly.
I began humming a tone that I made up during the time he was born. It always brought me peace and him happiness.
Zain hummed along as I helped him undress, then I undressed myself. We got into the bathtub and faced the shower cap.
I turned on the shower and watched him scream.
"Ahhhhhhh! Mommy!" He cried as he ran behind me. I chuckled and patted his wet back, "It's ok Zain, it's called a shower. I even kept it cold for you." I reassured.
He cried harder and shook his no, "Mommy, I don't like it." He said clinging onto my leg. I rolled my eyes and picked him up.
I held onto him as the water hit his back, he cried in my ear and exaggerated about dying. Eventually his cries softened.
"Mommy, can I play with George and J.J after this?" He said through his hick ups. I smirked, "Only of you stop being a big baby."
He hesitated before nodded, so I put him down and gave him his own loofah. He washed himself as I washed myself.
Once we were finished we brushed our teeth and then got dressed. Zain chose to wear blue basketball shorts and a plain gray shirt with nike slides. I wore baby blue sweats with white slip ons.
I fixed Zain's hair into a man's bun and mines into a high top bun. Giving Zain a few of his toy cars he jumped up and down in excitement.
"Yay!" He said taking his toys. He gave me a hug, "Thank you Mommy."
I kneeled down to his height and kiss his cheek, "That's for being a big boy, if you want all of your toys you have to be a good boy too." I said.
He nodded, "I promise that I'll be a good boy, just watch me." He said, confidence dripping out of his mouth.
I chuckled before getting up and grabbing his available hand, "Let's go downstairs." I said before guiding us out the door.
Momo had a big house for just two people. The house wasn't as big as the Mansions but it was big.
6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room, 3 garages, a patio, a pool, and a bunch of other rich people stuff.
Speaking of rich I need my money. If I had enough time before going on a run, I would have taken my money and disappeared forever.
I'd be untraceable, unrecognizable, and unknown.
The reason I can't use my money is because it's in a bank account. Bank accounts can be tracked, so if I take money out of my account, Enzo will be at my door in 10 minutes.
My bank account will be the easiest way to find me IF I were using my money. So I lived to adapt without my money, which was hard.
Zain and I walked into the dining room where Momo, Tyrone, Monique, Unique, Jaja, Travis, J.J, and 3 other people sat eating.
My arrival had stopped their chattering, they looked at me. Momo stood up with a smile, "Nunu come here, you and Zain can sit here." She said pointing to two seats.
Zain and I sat down and watched Momo place our food in front of us. I remained silent but Zain didn't, he started talking the minute his eyes landed on J.J.
I knew everyone at this table but the 3 new people. A dreaded man with hazel eyes sat diagonal from me. What seems to be his wife sat on his left and his teen son next to his wife.
Besides the teen boy, they sat there uncomfortable. I eyed them, suspicious as to why they weren't talking.
Maybe they're fakes, or someone probably cut their tongues out, or-
"Good Morning everyone!" Brunet said happily as he came in. Immediately everyone started talking to him, giving him their attention.
What the f*ck?! I thought this family didn't like feds! Why are they always so happy to see him?!
He blindly sat in front of me, then when he lift his head up, he froze. I sat still trying to keep calm.
Murderous images of Brunet filled my head, as much as I want to drown in them I can't, that'll just lead me to actually kill him.
I have one job and one job only, to raise Zain to become a better version of me.
Brunet's face grew red, "H-hi Janunu, its been awhile." He said nervously. Not a word left my mouth, if I open my mouth I'm sure I'll speak my actions of his murder to life.
"Mommy, he said hi. You have to say 'hi' back." I heard Zain say, ughh Kimi should have taught him when and who to use his manners.
Brunet looked at Zain, shocked that he said mommy. "W-wait, you have a kid?!" He said still looking at Zain.
"Danny, she's been through some stuff. If she's not answering you, it's because of that." Monique said.
That is not true, I don't wanna talk to his two-faced a** because he's two-faced!
Brunet nodded in understanding and sent me a smile, ignoring my death glare. He went on to talking to everyone like I wasn't here.
I hate him.
Dante came in filling the last seat at the table. He sat the other diagonal way of me. He greeted everyone and they greeted him.
I tried to ignore him but he just had to start a conversation with me, "Good Morning Janunu, how did you sleep?" He asked.
Nosy people.
"Mommy didn't sleep." Zain said, not giving me a chance to shut this convo down. Momo was quick to intervene, "Why didn't you sleep?" She asked.
Ughhh!
"I wasn't sleepy." I said picking at my eggs. Brunet jumped in, "Hey she's talking." He said happily. I ignored him.
"Mommy doesn't like you." Zain said as he pointed at Brunet. This time Monique jumped in, "She does like my best friend, she saved his life." She said.
Zain gasped, "Really?! What happened?" He asked intrigued by what Monique said.
Just as Monique was about to talk, I covered Zain's ears with my hands. "I rather you all not bring up my past, Zain doesn't need to know that." I said before getting up and taking Zain.
That breakfast gathering was an example of why I don't like being around people, anything can come out of their mouths that'll ruin you.

12:12 P.M.
I sat on the couch staring at the T.V. screen. The channel 10 news was on and they were talking about my disappearance.
I've been gone almost 6 years and the U.S. are still talking about me. What is wrong with these people? I killed Hajee and now I'm a hero.
People are weird.
"The news reporters are your number one fans." I heard Dante say as he came and sat next to me. I ignored him, he's a nuisance along with all the other people in this house.
"Did you know people have been making videos about you? They took all of your very little media footages and made edits. It's pretty cool since you always look like a bada**" He said.
He is not one to know when to shut up. He cleared his throat, "Ok, I see your not a talkative female. I understand, most woman tend to loose their voices around me."
That right there made me snap my head to him, a big smile broke out on his face.
"You see I'm irresistible."
