The Dress 💮

'Beep! Beep! Beep!'
Zim groaned at the sound of his alarm clock. He used one of his pak legs to turn it off and got out of bed to change into his work uniform.
A couple months ago, he had applied for a job at a maid cafe nearby. The staff seemed friendly enough, and the building was space themed so he didn't need a disguise. Plus, the owner paid his staff really well. The maids were working for $20 per hour, which gave him $1,680 per week. It was a very good deal indeed.
The only issue was that the dress he was forced to wear was a tiny bit too short, as it stopped a little after the start of his thighs. It wasn't too bad though, because he had socks that went a little past his knees. Sure, it was a little uncomfortable, but he had worn worse outfits in the past. If anything, he was lucky that the uniform came with long, white gloves, because the other maids didn't have them.
He assumed it was because he was a favorite among most customers. After all, he had the most 'realistic costume'. And the more money he made, the more benefits he would earn from his boss, so he tried his best to look presentable. Of course, the downside was that people would get touchy, but that wasn't his fault. They just needed more self control.
Zim walked down the street and into the cafe humming a soft tune. He was in an unusually good mood that morning, thanks to the cup of coffee he drank earlier. Who knew that having more energy made you happier?
Everything seemed to be going just fine, until he saw his first customer, who was already seated at their table.
Dib Membrane, his boyfriend.
It was both a pleasant and horrible surprise to see him. Pleasant because that meant he didn't have to deal with any bitchy customers yet, but horrible because a smirk was already plastered on his face, meaning that he was going to be extra annoying for the occasion.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite alien~!" Dib said, starting the sweet talk. "And in such a nice outfit... aren't I lucky?" He looked at him up and down, undressing him with his eyes. Zim blushed and avoided eye-contact.
"You sure are, what do you want to drink and eat?"
Dib gave him an innocent yet teasing look, his smirk failing to cease.
"Are you on the menu~?"
Zim was unimpressed. He had heard far better attempts at flirting than that, and yet his face still heated up. Dib really was the only one who could make him feel that special type of way.
"Nope, though I'm probably better than anything on there."
"Oh really~? I'd like to test that notion-"
A deep voice was heard yelling Zim's name, causing the Irken to wince. He had spent too much time with his boyfriend, and now there were upset customers that needed to be attended to.
"Zim will get back to you later, right now I have to go take their orders," he said, giving him a peck on the cheek. Then, he speed-walked to a nearby table, leaving a disappointed Dib behind.
He watched as his boyfriend took a few more orders after that, with each interaction lasting for about two minutes. It wasn't a lot of time, just enough to get basic information written down, but for Dib it felt like forever.
He couldn't help but notice whenever someone would look at Zim the wrong way, or even try to touch him inappropriately. It would grind his gears, especially since the alien was visibly uncomfortable. He felt the need to do something about it- anything, because he wasn't sure how long he was going to take it.
"Hey, Zim?" Dib whispered to him as he passed by the table.
"What is it?"
"Can you meet me in the staff room? I need to speak to you in private."
The Irken nodded, but winced when he heard his boss' voice yelling at him again.
"Alright, just wait until my break. It's in two minutes, okay?"
Dib's expression brightened. The easy part of his plan was over, now he had to sneak into the room, which was easier said than done.
Many others had attempted what he was doing, just to get a glimpse of the maids outside of the working environment. However, they had all failed. The boss of the cafe, Robert Halminyte, had enlisted bodyguards to stand in front of the staff room. That way, none of them would be harrassed.
Sure, he was short-tempered and serious, but he had a soft spot for all of the maids working there and treated them like family. That was why Zim felt so comfortable working at the place. Otherwise, he would've left a long time ago.
Dib left his table and slowly made his way towards the back of the building, where not many people were seated. Upon arriving in the hallway leading up to the staff room, two large men wearing suits and shades stopped him.
"Do you have a reason to be here, sir?" One of them asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, my boyfriend left a personal item in that room."
"You mean Zim?"
The Irken was the only male maid in the entire staff, which wasn't very surprising. His body was more on the feminine side for human standards, so the employer didn't mind giving him the role that was intended for females. In fact, they actually took advantage of his gender and used it for advertising to sound more inclusive. According to them, this cafe was the only one in the world to have a male maid.
It was stupid, but somehow it actually brought more people to eat there. So, he was probably going to be the face of the cafe for a long time.
"Yeah," Dib responded simply. "I can show you pictures too, if you want."
The guards nodded in unison, which lead the boy to reach into his pocket and pull out his phone, scrolling to an app which had a bunch of photos of the couple hanging out. He showed them a picture of their trip to the fair, Zim's first day of work, and even one that was taken in the early morning with him asleep in Dib's arms.
Then, he showed them Zim's contact number on his phone, and videos that were taken so that they would believe him. And it actually worked.
"Okay, we'll let you through. But don't do anything stupid, or we'll have you arrested, understood?"
"Yup."
Dib entered the room and looked around. In the center there was a large table, where six fluffy chairs were placed around it. They seemed to be untouched, so he assumed that they were added recently. In the far left corner sat a vending machine, which was filled with chips and candy, and next to that was a desk covered in paperwork.
There was also a mini fridge near the vending machine, which had a box of popsicles and a few cans of soda.
He was glad that his boyfriend had a nice place to relax, since his job didn't have the same benefits.
He worked under his father in Membrane Labs. One would think that he would be treated extremely well since he was his son and all, but that wasn't true in the slightest. He was expected to work the whole nine hours with no breaks at all, so when he returned home he was always hungry and tired, not having any time to hang out with Zim.
Besides that, his coworkers were rude as hell. They would insult him in front of his face, and whenever he complained about it to his father, he would just brush it off. It was because they were well-known scientists, and God forbid he care about his own son more than science.
He took a deep breath, releasing all the anger that he had built up inside of him. There was no time for that at the moment. Plus, he had taken the day off to spend time with Zim, so he could worry about his job later.
Just then, he heard the door open, revealing an exhausted Zim.
"Irk, there were so many customers today. You're lucky that I managed to convince my boss to let me take a break," he said, crossing his arms. "Zim had to run back and forth between them to get their orders and such, I'm so tired."
He sat down on top of the table as Dib closed the door, locking it.
"How much time did he give you?"
"About an hour, why?"
The human smirked, giving him a sly look.
"I want to do something real quick, but you'll have to be quiet, understand?"
Zim nodded, although he was still confused as to what Dib meant. At least, until he approached him, placing his head in the nook of the Irken's neck. His breathing hitched at the sudden action.
"Not here," he whispered softly. "They're going to catch us."
Despite what he said, Dib kept going, leaving kisses and sucking around it. Zim tried his best to suppress his noises, but failed when he felt a sharp bite land on his collarbone.
"Dib~!"
He couldn't see it, but he knew that the human was grinning smugly at the noise that he had made. Zim blushed, but put his hands behind Dib's head and pushed it further into his neck, as if he was commanding him to keep going. And he did, leaving as many marks as he could while Zim bit on his gloved knuckles, muffling his moans.
After a few minutes, Dib finally stopped and stood in front of his boyfriend, a proud expression resting on his face.
"There, now they know that you already belong to somebody," he said as he held a hand out to Zim. The Irken took it in his own and jumped off of the table, feeling the bruises that had formed on his neck. It would be a lie to say that he didn't enjoy the feeling, as stupid and pointless as it was.
Suddenly, the doorknob started shaking, as if someone was unlocking the door, shaking Zim to his core. If anyone saw what they were doing, he'd be fired for sure. The marks weren't there to begin with, so they would notice real quickly what was going on.
Dib seemed to notice their issue, so he looked around trying to find somewhere to hide. Luckily, there was a walk-in closet located to the left of them that he hadn't noticed before. He quickly grabbed something off of the table and whispered to the other.
"Follow me."
Zim nodded and followed his lead as they approached the closet before entering it at once, closing the door ever so slowly to avoid making too much noise.
